Chapter 26 - Chapter 25 - A Book of Strategies and Tactics

Third person POV

Later, after the last class, Roxas was in the school library working on his short story for a colored manga storytelling YouTuber called Kaikaku Mangas. It was a small one but decently popular for its colored, 15-to-25-minute manga stories where the fooled MCs got sympathy from their families and in-laws and most featured them having relationships with their unrelated in-laws (most common is a male, dumped MC with his Filipino/other foreigner sister-in-law thanks to their siblings arranging the marriage). But what set the channel apart from others is the art of drama, the thing Roxas took advantage of. For him, the antagonists being scolded by the MCs or their social circles (extended family, communities, etc.) and the entitled brats lashing out on them. These spoiled brats insulted them because they are cheap (in terms of standards on anything) and socioeconomically lazy (because the MCs' circles disregard the spoiled brats' high status to harass them and rigid hierarchies as stupid and not an excuse) is absolutely natural as humans. Plus, Roxas among the few writers for the channel who made endings according to or similar to his 11-point manifesto.

One satisfying part of them is when the humiliation of the antagonists was so bad that they ran away crying while (but not every story) threatening to tell their parents or bosses back in Japan what they had done to them.

He just finished writing his short story (potentially turned into a 15-minute-long colored manga video) and sent it to the YouTuber via email.

Watching that, Anko let out a dramatic wail. "Man, the same edgy tropes of destructive poverty for the bad guys is too much for me. That channel is a breath of fresh air." Roxas then nodded while putting his laptop into his backpack. "Yeah, me too. Good thing I found this channel 6 months ago."

They watched a part of a video (from last week) of that channel where the MC's ex-best friend who stole his girlfriend was now living in Brazil after being ostracized back in Japan for making fun of the MC and his Filipino sister-in-law as a cheap couple. That dribbling elite got karma'd by the MC's Filipino brother-in-law who told him that he is no better than the MC. The backlash in Japan was massive. The ex-best friend was fired and disowned. He is now in Brazil working a regular office according to his field (easy to implement that) while drinking his sorrows away in bar with an eaten meal.

"I had no goals in life..." he sobbed.

Ironically, some natives shouted "Goal!" at a football match on TV.

This was written by Roxas himself, as indicated in the description of the video. Comments said of the ingenuity of the goal lines.

Anko doubled over. "Oh, man, you even knew the habit Brazilians shouted during a football game?"

"Yup, the "Rio" movie taught me that," Roxas replied.

A bit later, Roxas was about to go home with his friends when Evil Klein came and asked them if they, or any of them, wanted to battle him in a battle. Upon hearing that, Roxas and his friends were stunned with mild fear and refused his offer.

 "No thanks…"

 "Nope!"

 "Maybe not…"

Evil Klein understood their decision and went off while telling them that battling is basically and literally a death sentence.

They were scared of him, but Roxas was not that afraid.

Later on, at 5:20 p.m., shortly after resting up in his room, Roxas was at his desk writing something on pieces of paper. His writings at this point are his tactics and strategies for his main task given by Anko. Those things had been done, tested, and proven by him yesterday. But, he decided to compile them into one book in the form of a dedicated notebook.

So, Roxas went to his shelf to look for any blank and empty notebooks, only to see that all of them were partially filled with a couple of pages of text, taped photos and such. Because of that, before eating dinner with his friends, Roxas went out to a store that always opens at 7 a.m. every day. That store is nearby and small, and it also sells high-quality school supplies at cheap prices. There, the young foreigner picked up 2 small notebooks, which are in dark blue, leather-bound, case-bound by binding method, and have an elastic band closure, a back pocket, and dual, ribbon bookmarks in red and white. Their pages are in vintage shade, lined by page layout, and have a GSM of 100.

After that, Roxas went up to the cashier to pay for them. The total price was 500 Gold Yen, but he considered that as dirt cheap. After paying for it, Roxas left the store happily with his paper bag of purchases.

Once that was done, he went to the neighborhood's park to have some quiet time. There Roxas sat on a wooden bench and opened one of the two notebooks, before opening it and examining it by flipping the pages. Acting like a stationery connoisseur, Roxas saw that it was really good to use. So, he grabbed his pen and started writing the title page in the first page after the end pages. After that and some elaborations of foreign words in Khmer, Spanish, Vietnamese, Burmese, and Korean in the title page, Roxas now listed his tactics and strategies in the third page, writing in detail and using the if-then technique as a template for them.

But, Evil Klein was spying at him while hiding behind a wall in the park, wondering what Roxas was up to. Roxas was having a quiet time at this point yet remained alert and vigilant on any possible happening. Roxas now called his notebook the Book of Strategies and Tactics.
