Third person POV
With that, Roxas and Anko went on to the first floor, which would be the site of Roxas' first battle with a player in the game. Before entering the room, Roxas changed his clothes just in case he would get stabbed and thus, his new limited-edition shirt would get stained with blood. So then, as the doors behind them shut, Roxas' first opponent came forward with his weapon ready for the battle. The opponent was Evil Klein, much to Roxas and Anko's shock.
"What the…?" Roxas responded to this.
"No way…" Anko added, before going into Roxas.
"Well, well…" Evil Klein smirked at Roxas while approaching him and wielding his weapon, "…what a spectacle you made in front of me."
He was assigned to this battle with Roxas, and he was quite loud.
"Oh, flip…" Roxas replied back before wielding his sword.
Anko then readied himself to guide his vessel whenever he needed to during the battle. "Be careful, Roxas-kun, Klein is the leader of his guild, known as the Fuurikazan."
"That was an odd name, but pretty neat," Roxas muttered in English and with a Filipino accent for Anko and to indicate to Evil Klein of his status as a foreigner from Philippines' City of Love Iloilo City.
Evil Klein let out a loud laugh. "That sounds weird, kids, bring it on!"
And so, the battle had begun. Evil Klein wielded his weapon and lunged at Roxas. Roxas then freaked out in response, but Anko helped out by controlling his body like a puppet. As a result, Roxas managed to dodge Evil Klein's attacks and retaliated back with his sword.
Evil Klein was stunned to see that Roxas was attacking like a good, not-so-dumb player in the game, and Roxas had no idea why his body acted like that. Roxas' mind didn't even tell it to do things like that. Haruto heard that outside, behind closed doors and began to worry for Roxas' safety.
Despite his ability to control Roxas' body, Anko cannot and didn't have the right to control 2 things within Roxas: his personality and mind. Instead, he gave those aspects respect for themselves. This means that Anko had partial control over Roxas at this point.
At the same time, a player named Eiji Nochizawa, clad in the white and red colours of the Blood Oath Knights, ran into the scene and into the small observation decks. He had just escaped Evil Asuna's iron fist rule of the guild. He saw that someone was having a duel with the Crimson Samurai. "Kid! You can do it! Go and beat him up!"
Roxas heard and looked at Eiji for a couple of seconds.
"Sino iyun…?" his mind asked.
"Oh, my stars…" Anko was stunned to see Eiji's presence, "…Roxas-kun, that's Nochizawa Eiji, and he was from the Blood Oath Knights."
"Blood who-"
The talking was cut when Evil Klein landed a lethal strike on Roxas's back with his sharp and jagged scimitar. Eiji's face turned pale. "No!" But Anko healed Roxas's wound, much to Evil Klein's shock.
Roxas then did a fast counterattack.
The duel between Roxas Nietes and Evil Klein lasted for minutes. Then, Roxas knew what was going on with his body and synchronized with Anko as an advantage and a form of training in the game. He did that as if he were a different person, separate from his true, authentic self. Eiji was speechless about the spirit guardian of Roxas, the one who had a gakuran uniform and a hoodie and emitted a blue and black digital pixel aura. Because of the sheer power and teamwork of Roxas and Anko (plus Roxas' sword, known as the Writer's Bolo, and Anko's sword, a standard katana that Roxas now calls the Bicol Blade), Evil Klein was a bit overwhelmed by Roxas' attacks. And so, Evil Klein became exhausted, but Roxas didn't want to eliminate him completely.
Instead, Roxas said to him, "Give it up, Anko-kun and I are stronger together."
Anko then came out and added, "Yeah, we are!"
And so, Evil Klein gave up and declared defeat, making Roxas the winner of this round.
Roxas couldn't believe that he had won the first round and was overjoyed by it.
He also levelled up to the next level, increasing his stats a bit.
Outside, it was declared that Roxas Nietes was the winner of the first floor, much to Haruto's overwhelming relief.
Inside, Eiji was stunned at Roxas and Anko's victory, feeling an alliance with them.
