Chapter 27 - Chapter 26 - Philippine Independence Day!

Third-person POV

When the weekend came, after a morning grind on monsters for XPs, Roxas and his housemates had some snacks by a vending machine. Roxas wanted an authentic Japanese tea drink so he did so. He checked his phone to look again at the comments of his last week's works in Kaikaku Mangas on YouTube. The majority of the comments came from users from Japan, the Philippines, and Brazil. In the same manga video Roxas and Anko watched a few days ago, it also revealed that the Filipino brother-in-law in the manga video happened to be a lawyer and YouTuber who married the MC's sister Sakura. He, Sakura, and his Filipino community in Tacloban, the Philippines were the ones behind the arranged marriage of the MC and his sister-in-law, a thing the MC's ex-best friend dismissed as outdated against modern forms of dating and standards of marriage.

Of course, Brazilians appreciated Roxas's addition of the dual goal punchline.

Anko snickered at the comments. "Wow, Roxas-kun, you became a cross-ocean legend on YouTube."

The YouTuber behind the Kaikaku Mangas sent a message to Roxas (or Roxas_Reformed in his username) via a Line chat group appreciating his last week's work and said that his current short story (about the male MC who was fired unjustly and ended with a life in Spain with his Spanish sister-in-law while his ex-boss lost his job and worked a desk job in a rural firm in Japan; good thing living costs in that town was low) was in the manga paneling stage. It also said that the colorists and panel artists are now researching the Spanish city of Malaga through pictures for scenes.

As per the audience of different languages, all videos on the channel were uploaded both in the English-dubbed channel and the Japanese one.

Minato and Shuto also had been watching the videos of Kaikaku Mangas after being tired of the generic ones.

Then, 2 days later, it was now June 12.

Roxas' POV

Today is now June 12.

Yay! Today is Philippine Independence Day!

I am so proud of my country.

So, this morning, I went downstairs and turned on the TV, before watching a video of an old intro clip of the Filipino midnight news show "Isang Bandila" using the TV's YouTube feature. And then, I held my Filipino flag high and waved it when the intro ended with: "Isang…bandila…! Wo-o-o!"

 "Yay!" I said. "Wo-o-o!"

I treasured that video as much as I do, and I even had it downloaded on my laptop.

Later at breakfast, Shuto and Minato told me that strangely enough, our school recognized Philippine Independence Day and made it as a school-mandated holiday for us. That means we won't attend class for today!

And it seems that my friends knew that holiday as well.

"Man, that was good of them," I commented while eating my Japanese omelet and rice meal.

"Yup, it was!" Minato responded back with positivity.

Third-person POV

Within Roxas, Anko was very happy to celebrate Philippine Independence Day with Roxas. After breakfast, Roxas said to his friends that he will be going out to do stuff such as buying essential things.

"Okay," Koyuki replied in agreement. "Good luck out there."

"Yeah, see you later!" Shuto added positively.

With that, Roxas, now dressed in his normal, red t-shirt and brown pants for outdoor traveling, left the house with his shoulder, messenger bag.

But along the way, the hologram screen appeared before him and gave him a congratulatory message for his nationality and the Philippine Independence Day, before offering him something that is only available today: a special, short-sleeved, buttoned-up shirt in red, black, blue, yellow, and white. That shirt had a white necktie and a Filipino flag on the right side in the front. Roxas was shocked and surprised to see that and accepted it because he wanted it on such a special occasion. So, his red t-shirt was changed into that new and special buttoned-up shirt with necktie, much to his happiness, joy, and enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, there was a tower, the SAO tower, that had the Ruby Palace built, or rather encoded, on its base and lower floors. It was the headquarters of Akihiko and the Elite Players. The Elite Players each had a throne room that accompanied their unique aspects. The number was 9 of them:

Kirito – The Black Throne Room

Asuna – The Flash's Chamber

Keita – The Guild Throne Room

Agil – The Strongman's Chamber

Alice – The Olive Knight's Room

Eugeo – The Ice Room

Klein – The Samurai's Chamber

Lisbeth – The Blacksmith's Workshop

Sinon – The Sniper's Throne

Silica – The Open Space of the Tamer (courtyard-style)
