Later on, the door behind Evil Klein opened, and Evil Klein told Roxas that he could proceed to the second floor through it. "Okay, thank you," Roxas replied back with a quick and low bow, before proceeding to the next floor via the doors and the stairs after it.
Before Roxas and Anko would climb the stairs, Eiji caught up with them. "Wait, guys!" Roxas and Anko heard that and turned around.
"Huh? Eiji-san?" Roxas muttered.
"Ah, hey there, Eiji-san!" Anko chirped.
"Are you a ghost now, Anko-kun?" Eiji asked while his voice was trembling a bit.
"Yup! And I am now the spirit guardian of this freshman foreign student from the Philippines!" Anko happily responded.
"I'm Nietes Roxas, or Roxas Torre Agbayani-Nietes of Iloilo City, the Philippines," Roxas said to Eiji nicely and with a steady voice.
"Yes, greetings to you, Roxas-kun…" Eiji replied with a warm smile.
And so, Eiji joined in, and the trio started climbing the stairs to the second floor.
Along the way, Eiji explained to them about the Blood Oath Knights under Evil Asuna. "Is that so?" Roxas responded while taking notes in his small notepad with a blue ballpoint pen.
"Yes, and above her is Akihiko Kayaba," Eiji responded in a whisper, "and Akihiko-san goes with the nickname Heathcliff. He reigns over this death game."
"Yeah, Akihiko-san is a complete lunatic, Roxas!" Anko added strongly while flying above the stairs. "He is basically making a deadly social experiment by bringing the game into this world! He's the one who descended the flippin' (word adopted from Roxas's language) AI darkness onto Kirito-kun and his friends! He's insane! He's FUBAR, or Fucked-Up Beyond All Repair!"
Roxas stopped his walking and felt the righteous fury vibrating within him, emitting Baguio City-cold pixels in black and frosty blue. "So he thinks he is a deity of this world, huh…" he hissed.
Eiji took a half-step because Roxas's aura was getting colder.
"Oh, wow…" Anko was rather amazed, "…his Filipino sensibilities are flaring faster than Asuna-san's Flash…"
"And because Akihiko-san's username is Heathcliff…" Roxas added coldly, "…that reminds me of someone from 'Batman'. But my username is Spark78Reformed, meaning I can do reforming sparks to a cold sistema!"
He said that last sentence out loud.
After that, the trio resumed their walk to the second floor while Roxas was determined to end this heresy in this world. Eiji saw a warrior that might be out of place, yet terrifying and unique. And then, the trio had arrived on the second floor, only to see a player battling against another player. The floor and battleground were currently being used, so Roxas and Anko waited for them to be vacant again. That player, Ikari Arashi, was struggling against his opponent, who is actually Evil Kirito. When Roxas and Anko took a closer look at Arashi's opponent, they were shocked.
"Kirito-kun?!" Roxas' mind asked in shock.
"No way…" Eiji gasped, before hiding behind Roxas.
But then, Arashi was struggling against the Elite Player and was now on a brink of giving up and being killed by Evil Kirito. "So weak…" Evil Kirito chuckled at Arashi while pointing his sword at him, "…time to get finished…"
Roxas was even more shocked to see Arashi going to be killed by Evil Kirito and had no idea what to do.
But Anko acted by forcing Roxas' body to get a healing potion, which was luckily bought by Roxas the day before, and stepped in, making Roxas throw it towards Arashi. As a result, the small bottle shattered near Arashi, and Arashi's health bar was replenished thanks to it being near to him.
And because of that, Arashi became strong and retaliated against Evil Kirito and his sword. "Take this!" Evil Kirito blocked his sudden attack and was taken aback by his sudden strength. "What the hell?"
Roxas was stunned by what Anko made him do. "Anko-kun, what did you make me do?"
"Sorry, I can't see him facing his fate now," Anko reasoned in response, "so I had to do this."
"Is that even cheating?"
"Yes, but I am dead, remember?"
"This is gonna be unacceptable, guys…" Eiji muttered.
At the same time, Evil Kirito, one of the strongest players in the game, was defeated by Arashi, much to Arashi's chagrin and surprise. Arashi was declared to be the winner of the second round, and thus, the doors behind Evil Kirito were opened, allowing Arashi to continue on to the third floor via a set of stairs after it. But Roxas didn't want to remain in the shadows behind Arashi's boost in strength, so he and Anko appeared in the scene. Eiji was behind them.
"You're welcome, kid," Roxas said to Arashi in cool confidence.
Arashi and Evil Kirito heard that and looked at them.
"Welcome for what?" Arashi asked Roxas.
"We splashed a healing potion near you so you could heal up and take down that guy," Anko replied back to Arashi partially on Roxas' behalf.
Evil Kirito was shocked to hear that, and Roxas acted tough, genuinely, not regretting his small deed for Arashi.
"You cheater!" Evil Kirito scowled at Anko and Roxas. "You should be punished for that!"
"You can't do that on Roxas-kun," Anko retorted solemnly and seriously. "I am dead, and Roxas is now bounded to my contract and control. That means, no matter how much you tried to kill him, you can't because I'll always heal him every time."
Roxas then nodded at Anko's statements seriously while crossing his arms for a few seconds.
Arashi was stunned to hear that. "Wait, contract?"
"Yes," Roxas looked at Arashi, "I am in Anko-kun's control, partially."
"Yes," Anko said to Arashi in succession, "I am dead, and I am this kid's spirit guardian."
"Oh…" Arashi, a boy with blue hair and black eyes, replied back.
Because of this, Evil Kirito decided to punish Roxas differently; that is, by having him battle in this second round's duel with one of his friends within the Elite Players' circle. So, the strong player said that while keeping his dignity intact.
"Alright, fine!" Roxas strongly retorted back. "Anko-kun and I can take that because we are stronger together!"
Anko then shouted to support his statement very strongly.
Arashi became positive for him and Roxas. "Okay, good luck, you two. Thank you for everything."
He then grabbed his sword and ran to the door and up the stairs towards the next floor.
"Okay, ingat!" Roxas said to Arashi positively with a Tagalog word.
Evil Kirito was irritated by Roxas' response and cheered for Arashi. "So annoying…"
He then contacted one of his friends to take over Roxas' second round on this floor, before leaving it via teleportation.
Eiji let out a small, hearty laugh at the 'ingat' part of Roxas's response to Arashi.
