Fragments, pieces and shards that are collected and merged over time. An endless void, a large gathering of fragments. A sudden jolt of pain, a small light in the darkness that shines like a star in the night sky. 'It' finally opens its eyes, and sees that its in a forest. Everything looks big compared to its size. 'It' decides to walk around and see if it can find something or someone to help it.
Time passes and its senses grow sharper, more distinct and effective. It develops a personality, an ego of sorts. As time progresses, so does its abilities and ego. It has fought against black creatures with bone armor countless times. While some proved to be a challenge, others were easier to kill. 'It' found it strange that the creatures disintegrated after they were killed, but decided to not worry about it. Time continues flowing and progressing then 'It' heard a scream, a child's scream. 'It' doesn't know why a child would be in a forest, but rushes in the direction of the scream.
'It' enters a small clearing and sees a little girl, no more than 5 or 6, terrified and sitting against a tree. 'It' also sees a large wolf like creature with more bone armor than its smaller counterparts. 'It', despite its small body, slams into the bipedal wolf creature, knocking it off balance. The wolf creature is annoyed, 'It' can tell. After a few minutes of 'It' running around the creature and making small cuts on the creatures body, it finally disintegrates. The child is somewhat relaxed but still scared. 'It' trots over to the child and nudges its head underneath the child's hand. The child picks 'It' up and hugs it, crying.
A few days later, 'It' is laying down on a pillow. Nivelia, the child 'It' saved, is sitting next to 'It'. Nivelia had given 'It' the name Nigel. Nivelia is pretty much glued to Nigel, and won't go anywhere without Nigel.
Nigel thinks that it could get used to this, but notices the small yet subtle changes in its body and mind. Nigel falls asleep, dreaming of fragmented memories of the different shards Nigel is made of.
