Damien rolled his eyes, but the faint curve at the corner of his mouth betrayed him. "Eat your food before I reassign you to accounting."
Vincent laughed outright this time. "There is the Damien I know."
Damien smiled but did not say anything. "So how is work?"
"Dude, I work under you," Vincent scoffed. "You exactly know how my work is going." Since the day he was promoted to COO, work had been hectic. He was still trying his best to prove himself and it took a lot of his energy.
"Well, don't blame me," Damien shrugged. "We were having fun together but you were the one who insisted on taking the new role."
"Hey—you offered me the job," Vincent frowned.
"You could have said no." When Vincent knitted his brows, he added, "It's not like threatened you."
