It's been half a year since Arina transported here and she still didnt have a clue what to do. And honestly she didn't really care anymore. These three months have been a blast learning all about this world's culture and beliefs. There are so many fascinating things about the Elementals and how this world is tied to another known as the spirit realm. There isn't much information on the spirit realm though, just a bunch of vague references but still... Fascinating. And as the proud and bonafide bookworm that she is, She spent most of her days at the palace library plunging deeper and deeper into this world, learning everything she could. No more Madison, No more Jason, and No more pitying or mocking remarks from anyone around me, ' _Mmh, I could get used to this_ '. Arina thought to herself.

Arina POV
The queen treats me like her daughter even though she barely knew me. Honestly though I find it a bit suspicious but that's probably from all those years of solitude and not trusting anyone. As for Prince Cyrus, we've made our peace with each other though he's still that annoying dickhead who loves to tease but at least I have a friend to call my own. Other than that life here is great, I still have my annoying yet helpful maid Jenna, she has her pros and cons but somehow her pros outweigh her cons - yeah - even I dont know how that's possible, trust me I've done my math. The other servants treat me well too but I guess they're just doing their job but still...it ain't a half bad feeling.
A knock from the door jolted me out of my thoughts
"Come in"
" Milady breakfast is ready."
"Mmh, I'll be there".I hummed a reply

*WRITER'S POV*
Arina walked out of her room with Jenna right behind her but there was something different about today; the maids were running about, some carrying flower decorations, some cleaning. Everything was in utter chaos leaving Arina wondering what yhe hell was going on.
"Jenna, what's going on? Is there an event I dont know about?."
" They're preparing the castle for Prince Sirius' return." Jenna said with her usual stoic face.
" Prince Sirius..oh you mean the first prince, right?." Arina said
" The letter came last night, you had already retired at the time". Arina asked her eyes widening in realization.
"Yes milady, The prince has been in Inferno City for two years now fighting against the rebels." Jenna replied a hint of fawning in her eyes.
"Rebels you say?, Isn't the realm in peace, why would anyone want to rebel." Arina asked truly curious.
" Really milady... You have been staying here for three months and you still dont know anything. *Sigh*."
".....". Arina could only shake her head internally in self pity, was this maid of hers ever going to change.
The duo soon arrived at the dining room. As usual Jenna stopped at the huge doors and Arina walked in, looking every bit a princess. She got to the table and bowed lightly, The king, queen and Prince Cyrus was already sitted at the table. King Damien sat at the head of the table with Queen Nora on his right and Cyrus on his left. Arina took her seat beside the queen and the meal started.
The meal was eaten in silence until the king finished his meal and stood up
"I believe everyone has heard about the return of Prince Sirius". He was met with silence as everyone already knew- or in Arina's case heard- of it.
"He will arrive by noon tomorrow and by nightfall a ball would be held in appreciation of his grest deeds in Elio city." He said flatly.
" Of course, we should all gather and celebrate dear brother because he does all the great things in our kingdom." Cyrus said, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
" Cyrus, I expect you to be on your best behavior for your brother's ball. Do not make a scene else..." The glared at Cyrus.
Cyrus smiled but unlike his usual teasing smile or arrogant smirk, this was filled with mirth... almost mocking.
Saying that, he stood up, bowed and left without saying another word.
Arina looked around surprised at the interaction between the knig and Cyrus. This was the first time she saw something like this. The royal family always got along peacefully...at least as far as she knew..
She looked towards the door Cyrus had just left through and she decided to follow him. She too bowed to the king and queen before turning to follow Cyrus. She walked for a while when suddenly she heard something,
