I was busy struggling with the lighter.
It kept clicking and not catching. I was pretty sure I needed to refill it or get a new one, but Dove bought it for me and I was not letting it go anytime soon. It was silver and dented on one side from the time I dropped it in Colorado.
I looked out the Range Rover's window as Berlin passed in blurs. Buildings and Christmas lights and people with scarves. I frowned. I really had no idea why Kolli and Danilo chose Germany out of all places to live, but I guessed since Danilo was born here maybe he liked it. He did have that German look to him. Tall, sharp jaw, those eyes that looked like they could cut glass.
In the back with me Daniel was scrolling on his phone. And Danilo was sitting between us like he was about to shit a brick, to be honest.
