"My darling! Please come, join me!" Raula called in the sweetest and most cheerful voice as she noticed Dorianna's ascent up the path.
She was in the garden, seated by herself and having tea as she enjoyed the cool evening breeze. It was a healing time she liked to take after going through a tremendous amount of exercise in her private room.
"How are you doing, love?" Dorianna asked as she got to the table. She bent over and gave Raula a kiss on her cheek before settling in a chair next to her.
"How did your day go?" Raula asked her as she set her own cup aside so that she could now pour out a cup of tea for her friend.
"I'm doing very well," Dorianna said with a tight smile.
Raula had not been looking at her friend when she spoke but she noticed the strain in her voice.
She looked up to see Dorianna with a faint smile on her lips, a smile that made Raula know immediately that something was going on.
She wheeled her chair to Dorianna's side and set down the cup of tea.
