Chapter 204: The Creator Has Departed
Godzilla quickly began to feel extremely unwell, and Emperor Kong took the opportunity to escape from under Godzilla's suppression.
Sensing that his heartbeat was affecting Godzilla, Emperor Kong simply mounted Godzilla directly.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
A deafening series of thunderous pulses burst out from Emperor Kong's body, ravaging Godzilla's form.
The vibrations cut through like steel knives stripping bone, tearing open deep wounds and fissures throughout Godzilla's body and further hindering the regeneration of his dorsal spines.
Emperor Kong pounded his own chest wildly, pushing his heart to beat even faster.
Chang Wei watched in stunned disbelief as golden fur began to grow all over Emperor Kong's body!
"The King Engine has gone into overdrive. Has it merged with Kong's own bloodline somehow? Or is this a manifestation of the Suffering-Evolution Route?"
Chang Wei pondered. It clearly wasn't triggered by him—if he had any sort of guidance role in this, that handsome Kong would've awakened his golden form long ago.
So, this was more likely an effect of the King Engine, or perhaps a hidden trait of the Kong bloodline.
"It doesn't look like the Super Saiyan 4 Golden Great Ape... it's more like a Hanuman Beast."
Emperor Kong no longer looked bloated. Thanks to the Suffering-Evolution Route and the King Engine, his body had become more compact and muscular—concentrated power in a condensed form.
Because of this, he now resembled a Hanuman Beast more than ever.
Especially in this current state.
Emperor Kong didn't understand what was happening to himself—he only felt an endless surge of power welling up from within, and he used that power to furiously pummel Godzilla.
The sea churned violently as the two Titan behemoths clashed once more on the now-submerged Skull Island. The shockwaves shattered the remaining landmass beyond repair—any trace of ancient ruins would now be impossible for humans to find.
In the massive crater, Godzilla lay pinned beneath Emperor Kong, his entire body covered in wounds from the relentless steel fists. The shockwaves generated from within Kong's body were also wreaking havoc inside Godzilla.
His regeneration could no longer keep up with the damage—wounds burst open faster than they could heal, some so deep that bone was clearly visible!
"Godzilla's internal energy readings are spiking rapidly!"
But for the humans observing, the sight of Godzilla being violently beaten while pinned beneath Kong wasn't any cause for celebration.
Because Godzilla's energy had become utterly unstable. The peaks in his energy fluctuations were now surpassing even those of his Red Burning state!
What did that mean?
It meant that Godzilla had completely lost control of his own energy. He had become a living, unprecedented super-bomb, and every one of King Kong's punches was like hammering a detonator wired to a pile of explosives!
They were all on the verge of being blown sky-high.
Everyone was on edge, hearts pounding in terror—but there was no time, and nothing they could do now.
It was already too late for any action.
Then, with a punch to Godzilla's head, he lost all control over the energy within his body.
His energy spiraled out of control—surging wildly, swelling his body like an overinflated balloon. A searing stream of radioactive heat blasted out through his wounds, striking King Kong and sending a wave of pain through him.
As Godzilla puffed up like a pufferfish, Kong was blown off and could no longer stay mounted.
"ROAAAARRR———!!!"
Godzilla let out a furious, unwilling roar.
BOOOOOOMMMMMM——!!!
With a sound that shook the heavens and split the earth, Godzilla's massive body exploded into countless fragments. The incomprehensibly pressurized, violently roiling energy he had contained was unleashed in an instant.
The blast speed exceeded that of humanity's most powerful explosives—traveling over 30,000 meters per second. Kong had no chance to dodge or resist. Faced with the overwhelming wave of destructive force, he could only roar and fire off a golden energy cannon, powered by his newly awakened form.
Naturally, the energy output of Golden Kong's blast was far stronger than before. But he was facing the compressed, runaway energy of an exploding Godzilla—his energy cannon only managed to split a fraction of the blast before it was swallowed by the tsunami of power.
The explosion formed a colossal bowl-shaped crater pressed into the earth. To the naked eye, the energy storm expanded rapidly, growing exponentially. Everywhere it reached, the ocean was annihilated, disintegrated.
The light was blinding, like the descent of a second sun. Over half the planet saw the sky lit by this energy storm!
Everything caught within the blazing white storm was utterly erased. When the storm finally subsided and silence returned, a sunken pit was visible on the Earth's surface.
From a human perspective, this pit was colossal—so large it could probably swallow all of America whole.
At the bottom of that pit, Chang Wei stood completely unscathed. He hadn't moved an inch—watching from close range as Kong was reduced to ash and nothingness—and casually retrieved his gene points.
The price he paid was negligible to him, and the harvest in gene points was substantial. A profitable deal, no doubt.
Of course, compared to Godzilla, which yielded gene points without any investment, this one was technically a loss.
He had pushed Godzilla several times and still only got this much. It was a pity—he had no interest in waiting for Godzilla to continue evolving. Its evolutionary pace was just too slow to be worth his time.
As for that energy storm?
What energy storm? That was nothing more than a breeze that kicked up some dust.
It actually felt rather nice—at the very least, it made things feel a bit cooler.
"So this is what it feels like to be Saitama… even an attack of this magnitude is just a gentle breeze."
Chang Wei brushed off imaginary dust from his clothes, quite pleased with the current strength of his body. Just his physical form alone was enough to ignore 99.9% of attacks. Though his telekinetic shield grew stronger by the day, it still couldn't match his body's raw durability.
Plus, his clothes were made from disguised Divine Light Virus material, so not even his outfit suffered any damage.
Now that he'd taken out Godzilla, one of the Titan behemoths, if humanity still couldn't surpass the Titans, then they were truly beyond help.
As for Kong's death—well, it fulfilled Chang Wei's purpose. Perishing alongside Godzilla wasn't a bad ending.
So… is Chang Wei suddenly having a change of heart and choosing not to destroy the world?
Honestly, there's not much difference anymore. After revealing his divine presence to the world, humanity would continue to exist—at least partially. He still wanted to observe how things developed next. Even if he didn't plan to return to this world…
Who knows? Maybe one day he'd come back.
Infinite futures. Infinite possibilities.
"System, initiate traversal. Do not anchor to this world!"
