Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Don’t lose your smile

In this world, it is a known law that power rules all. Those who do not have power, are treated less then shit stains on the earth. But... can you blame this world? A world where God's rule in secret and the supernatural seems mundane. A world where humans hold mysterious power's called quirks, allowing them to do seemingly the impossible. A world where weapons created by the biblical God, was bestowed upon human's. And a world where many different types of races and even aliens exist. Where it is a known fact that good v.s evil is common place?

So can you really view the world in a bad light? Knowing just how hard it is? Well, I don't blame the world, because despite all the bad, there is also good. I have suffered, and I know pain, but... That is exactly why I love this world and can never blame the world itself, only those individuals who choose to do bad.

This is the story of how I became a hero... This is how I showed the world... that even a devil can smile..... I am Izuku Kusakabe, and this is the story of how I became the world's greatest hero.

"I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, miss Kusakabe. But unfortunately, your son does not have any form of power." A slightly bold and plump man in a trench coat said while looking at the woman across from him with her child sitting next fo her.

"W-what exactly do you mean by that doctor Garaki?" The woman asked, her voice trembling ever so slightly in worry for her son. "Well miss Kusakabe, I'm sure your aware of how the procedure works in determining what kind of power a child has or might develop, but I'll explain it to you just in case you're unaware or have forgotten the details." Doctor Garaki said while the woman just nodded her head slightly.

"So, to start from the beginning. Children are usually tested to see if they have any sort of superpower, ability, unique magic/bloodline or sacred gear. We do this by doing a myriad of different tests like an x-ray and blood test, as well as having specialized scanners and staff to test if they have any sort of of abnormal energies like mana and chakra or if there are any abnormalities in a person's soul. But your son had none of those abnormalities whatsoever. In fact, it appears your son has actually devolved in comparison to other individuals. Now, what I mean by that is, as time passes, humans and other species evolve, and and one of the evolutionary traits people today have, is not having an extra joint in their pinky toe, but your son has one. However, your son does seam to have a slightly better natural durability, strength, speed, perception, healing and immunity system. But that's only by .05 at best. And since both you and your husband both are human with no special lineage, it's unlikely that your son, Izuku, will develop any sort of power. This puts him in the rare percentage of what is classified as the [Powerless], which only 0.5% of people in today fall under." Doctor Garaki said while tapping his pen on a clipboard with Izuku's test results.

*Hic*.... *Hic*.... *Hic*.... "D-does.. does that m-mean I c-can't become a h-he-hero like my D-dad?" Izuku asked the doctor while desperately trying to hold back his tears. Izuku's mother turned to him with sadness in her eyes. "Izuku, honey -" The woman began to say, but was suddenly cut off by the doctor. "Listen kid, I'm not going to sugar coat it, so I'm going to tell you the truth..... No. You can't ever become a hero, and honestly, you'd be lucky to even find a job." Doctor Garaki said with seemingly no remorse.

And just like that, Izuku's world and dream seemed to have shattered into a million pieces.

"EXCUSE ME! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO?! THIS A CHILD!!" Izuku's mother yelled, angry that man would say something like that to a child, to her son, while she was right there too. Turning to her son, Izuku's mother began speaking in a soft and loving tone. "Izuku honey, come on, we're going home." She said as she took Izuku's hand and stormed her way towards the door.

But just before leaving, she turned to the doctor and said "I will have a word with my husband about this, and make sure you have your license revoked... Someone like you should never have become a doctor, especially if this is how you talk a child." With that, the woman stormed out the door with her son in tow.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ri-* "Yes? Hello Master, did you get my message? Mmmhm? Yes, I have very exciting news. The son of the world's number 1 hero and the symbol of hope, {Smiling Devil}, just so happened to get a power examination today, and I was the one to conduct the tests. Mmmmm? Ah, your going to love this Master. The child is a [Powerless], and because I was the one to do the examination.... I have their location, you can finally put your plan into action Master." Doctor Garaki said with a cruel smile forming on his face.

(45 minutes later - Location - Japan - Secluded small villa in the outskirts of Musutafu - Musutafu City)

Izukj and his mother finally arrived home to their small villa after 45 minutes of driving from the hospital. They then slowly got out of the car after pulling up into the garage, and then silently made their way towards towards the front door and inside the house.

Once they were inside, Izuku broke down and started crying. He kept trying to wipe the tears away, but they just wouldn't stop falling. So, kneeling down and looking at his mother while trying to wipe away the tears, he asked his mother a question. "M-mom c-ca-can I-I-I rea-realy n-not b-be a h-hero l-l-like D-dad?"

Izuku's mother didn't know what to say or what the right thing to say was, so she just did the only thing she could. She dropped to her knees and hugged Izuku with all her might and softly stroked his back while speaking softly. "I'm sorry Izuku, I'm so, so, so sorry."

Izuku only cried more at that. That wasn't what he wanted to hear.... that wasn't what he needed to hear. He just wanted her to tell him that he could. That the doctor was wrong, that he could be a hero like his Dad. But she didn't tell him that, she just kept saying sorry, and Izuku took that as her saying that he couldn't. So he cried, he cried while letting her hug him.... because that was all he could do... the only thing he could do.

After a while, Izuku finally fell asleep in his mother's arms. He was emotionally and mentally exhausted. His mother just looked at him with a sad expression and carried him to his room and tucked him in his {All Might} and {Devil's Smile} covered bed, kissing his forehead gently and closing the door.

After closing the door to Izuku's room, she couldn't help but let a few tears fall as well. After thinking for a bit, the woman took out an old, small, rectangular looking device and sent a message with it. She just hoped that that person could help Izuku because she... she was just as lost as her son at that moment.

(Location - unknown region of Japan)

The sound of intense fighting could be heard for miles, with broken debris and fire everywhere, the people standing far away as to net get hurt, could only stare in awe at the hero who was busy fighting the monster.

At the epicenter where the fight was raging on, two figures could he seen. The hero who was fighting the monster and the point of awe of the people. He was a man of average height that had a lean muscular build, sporting short spiky black hair with crimson eyes. He was wearing an outfit which consists of a dark t-shirt buckled at the waist with a belt, dark offshore trousers that had light patches on the front leg and pelvis area, which were strapped over his shoulders. But the most notable part was his smile. A grin that looked to almost be splitting his face in half with razer sharp teeth.

It was like his smile was the personification of the devil, but instead of making the people cower in fear and hopelessness. It brought them joy, reassurance, safety, and hope. But brought fear and despair to those that smile was aimed towards in battle, just like the monster that he was fighting right now.

"Hey fugly! Where'd all your fight go, huh?! You looked to be enjoying yourself just a moment ago!" The hero said with a smile. The monster just backed away while growling, feeling cornered and helpless because of the man that appeared out of nowhere. The monster racked it's brain to find a way to throw the man off guard so it could attack. It was then that it spotted a large piece of broken rock from a building, so it hastily made its way to the large rock and flung it with all it's might towards ths civilians that were a bit aways away from them.

The hero, noticing this, only smiled wider before fire spewed out of his his feet like a gaizer, and he disappeared in an instant, leaving a trail of fire and becoming nothing but blur. He then appeared before the citizens and the piece of rock, destroying it with kick empowered by the flames that spewed from his feet before it could hit the people.

"HAHAHA! Is that the best you got you ugly bas- *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* hold on one second please" The hero said whilst everything suddenly went dead silent, with the people being confused and the monster looking unsure what to do as the hero stopped abruptly and took out a small device, that being a pager. The monster turned to the people, as if expecting the people to give it an answer as to what was going on, but the people could only shrug. They were just as confused as the beast.

That was until they heard the hero sigh in what sounded displeasure and anxiousness. The hero then took a deep breath and said serouisely while putting away the pager. "Okay, listen ugly, my wife just messaged me, which means something bad happened. So my mood has been ruined, so let's end this quickly, kay?" The hero said with a nonchalant expression with his hands in his pocket, before disappearing even faster then when he stopped the rock the monster had thrown moments prior and leaving only a afterimage, and before the monster or people could realize what happened, the monster suddenly had an indentation on its head with it's body in a crater.

The hero waved at the people and gave them a smile before flames spewed out of his feet, and he disappeared into the night like a rocket. Leaving the people happy that the monster was defeated, but confused as to where the hero was heading in a hurry.

But by tomorrow night, the people... no, the world would come to learn of the greatest tragedy of this era.
