Noah was more than willing to satisfy Wong and the other two's curiosity.
After all, they might encounter similar situations themselves in the future.
And Noah had no doubts about their potential.
Leaving everything else aside, Wong alone already proved it.
As Strange's assistant in the original timeline, Wong had undeniable talent.
Now, his progress was obvious.
And it clearly wasn't finished yet.
As long as he continued steadily, Noah believed he might reach that step someday.
Of course, that was only a possibility.
Noah couldn't predict the specifics.
The same applied to Mordo.
Mordo was a direct disciple of the Ancient One.
His talent and ability were unquestionable.
Even though he would eventually fall in another timeline-and was destined to become one of the antagonists in Doctor Strange 2-Noah hadn't seen that movie before transmigrating.
He didn't know the ending.
But that didn't change the fact that Mordo's talent was extremely high.
The same was true for Kaecilius.
That man's talent had been formidable as well.
But talent alone meant nothing.
Whether it could be fully converted into strength depended on later choices.
Victor was the same.
Noah wasn't sure whether Victor could truly reach that point.
The fusion of technology and magic.
Mechanical evolution.
That had always been Victor's research direction.
And now, with Tony, he had already achieved impressive results.
That was undeniable.
But how much help this path would provide later-
And how far it could go-
That wasn't something Noah could predict.
Victor's potential was real.
All Noah could do was hope he would keep walking forward.
Far enough to see the dawn he wanted.
After assigning tasks to Mordo, Wong, and Victor, Noah left Kamar-Taj directly.
Kaecilius wouldn't act again so soon.
He had already been exposed once.
Before making another move, he would definitely prepare.
For example-
Borrowing power from Dormammu.
In the original Marvel universe, contracts were the mainstream way sorcerers gained power.
This universe was different.
Sorcerers preferred to internalize magic and control it themselves.
But that didn't mean contracts were useless.
They still existed.
They just weren't popular.
Kaecilius had been crushed by Noah.
If he wanted to grow stronger, borrowing power from Dormammu was inevitable.
That would take time.
And time gave Noah room to move.
He could properly train Strange.
And incidentally-
Test whether the contract-based method he learned from the Sorcerer Supreme Strange of another universe could give him something useful.
Noah already had a new plan.
With Odin's help, he could seek a breakthrough in another universe.
But who knew what that universe would be like?
It was a choice between two paths.
Why not try both?
Still, Noah felt a slight resistance.
He really disliked putting strange contracts on himself.
But an extra path meant an extra option.
A cunning rabbit has three burrows.
Noah didn't think he was worse than a rabbit.
As for Strange-
Noah intended to train him seriously.
Strange's recent performance as an exorcist had been good.
Despite being new, his adaptability satisfied Noah.
So Noah planned to teach him more.
Kamar-Taj's unique magic.
And some of Noah's own magic.
Kamar-Taj's specialty was spatial magic.
Noah still intended for Strange to rely on the Sling Ring.
He had once wanted to train Strange the same way he trained himself-
Almost never using a Sling Ring.
But after thinking it through, he gave up the idea.
Their foundations were different.
Strange needed a gradual transition.
Just like Mordo and Wong.
Both were already less dependent on the Sling Ring now.
As for Noah's "unique" magic-
To be honest, even Noah paused to think about it.
Elemental magic?
Elemental fusion magic?
But after careful thought, it was all the same.
Fusion magic was simply a more complex version.
An advanced form.
So Noah decided-
Strange could just read elemental magic books.
If he didn't understand something, he could ask.
That was exactly how Noah learned back then.
He hadn't had a proper elemental magic mentor either.
With that thought, Noah arrived once again at 221B Baker Street.
The moment he appeared, a flustered owl flew straight into his arms.
Only then did Noah remember.
He had brought an owl with him when he left.
"What are you so scared of?" Noah asked helplessly, flicking her head lightly.
"And did you stay here all night?"
"Why didn't you fly back to the Sanctum yourself?"
"Hoo... hoo hoo."
Hedwig tilted her head, eyes wide, letting out soft hoots.
Noah looked at her, speechless.
He rubbed his chin.
He couldn't understand a word.
Animal languages had never been his strength.
The only one he understood was Parseltongue.
And even that was specific.
Nagini.
Who knew whether the owl was complaining about being abandoned-
Or complaining about Gugu.
That orange-cat-looking thing in the Sanctum.
Which was actually a Flerken.
Shaking his head, Noah placed the owl on his shoulder.
He was considering whether to go find Strange-
When he heard voices downstairs.
Noah smiled.
His timing, as always, was perfect.
Whether by "plot" or coincidence.
"Oh God, Sherlock," Everett's voice came up first. "That guy really wasn't a werewolf?"
"He was terrifying."
"I told you already," Strange replied. "That thing was a hybrid. Werewolf and vampire."
"It just looks like one."
"Damn it, though."
"The Shattering spell didn't kill him."
"What a shame."
"That shouldn't be called Shattering," Everett snapped. "That was a bone-breaking spell."
"You only broke his bones."
"Shut up!" Strange shot back. "I just haven't mastered it yet."
"If I'd hit his neck, he'd be dead!"
"But you didn't."
"Shut up!"
They reached the second floor mid-argument.
Then stopped.
Both froze.
Noah was sitting on the sofa.
Playing with an owl.
Silence fell instantly.
Like a silencing spell.
Neither of them had expected to see Noah here.
The sorcerer who had accompanied them-
Then vanished.
Strange recovered quickly.
He stepped forward and bowed.
"Master."
"Hm." Noah nodded. "How did the mission go?"
Then he asked casually, "It was a Katakan, right?"
"Yes, Master," Strange nodded. "We found it in the cellar."
"It resisted fiercely."
"But we broke its bones and captured it."
Strange didn't elaborate.
Failing to kill it meant the spell hadn't worked.
But they completed the mission.
That was enough.
What happened to the creature afterward wasn't his concern.
After several intense missions, Strange knew his limits.
Practical combat helped a lot.
But he needed time to digest everything.
"That's fine," Noah said calmly.
"Your performance met my expectations."
"Perfect."
"I plan to teach you some new things during this period."
"New things?"
Strange's eyes lit up instantly.
New things meant new magic.
New knowledge.
That was good news.
As he used magic more, he felt gaps forming.
Things he didn't fully understand.
More teaching meant more questions-
But also more answers.
Noah was one of the strongest sorcerers in the world.
Learning from him meant growth.
Then Strange hesitated.
He glanced at Everett.
His roommate.
John Watson.
What about him?
They had lived together for a while now.
Strange realized-
He actually liked this arrangement.
Noah seemed to notice.
He turned to Everett.
"Mr. Watson, right?"
"Yes!" Everett straightened immediately. "Hello, Master Sorcerer."
"Thank you for taking care of Sherlock," Noah said with a smile.
"But for a while, I'll need to train him properly."
"What are your plans?"
Everett scratched his head.
"I'll probably close this place temporarily."
"I'm not really an exorcist."
"No," Noah replied calmly.
"In a sense, you already are."
"There are plenty of exorcist books here."
"If you have time, read them."
"And I have a suggestion."
"Interested?"
"Of course," Everett nodded eagerly.
"And thank you. I'll read them seriously."
"Good," Noah nodded.
Then he added casually-
"Why not write your stories on a blog?"
"Wouldn't that be interesting?"
