Even Ichiryu had come. Perhaps he was looking to buy fireworks to raise the morale of the people in the Land of Iron?
"Hokage-sama, good morning," the group said with warm smiles.
Torifu immediately returned the greeting and ushered them into the compound.
The mansions where these Kage lived were certainly high-class. But the sight of the Kumotsuru Clan compound made them feel genuinely inferior. The Kumotsuru Clan compound had a distinct garden-style architecture, beautiful to the extreme. Even the construction of the Senju Clan compound couldn't compare, let alone the compounds of other nations.
"The Hokage-sama's home possesses such beautiful scenery! It truly inspires envy," the Tsuchikage exclaimed with emotion.
The other Kage all agreed. After seeing such an exquisite clan compound, they likely wouldn't be able to appreciate their own residences anymore. However, they also knew that constructing such a massive compound while factoring in scenery and the unique style of the buildings would undoubtedly cost a huge sum of money! It would be better to use that money to develop the village. Only someone like the Hokage, who didn't worry about money, could afford such extravagance.
Torifu naturally didn't know what the Kage were thinking. Hearing Ōnoki's words, he merely waved his hand. "This is all the heritage and family culture passed down by my ancestors. I haven't done much myself."
The foundation hadn't changed much; it was just that Amado had blown up the houses several times, prompting Torifu to finally commit to a renovation. Even then, it was done according to the original blueprints, with no major alterations.
"Gentlemen, what is the purpose of your visit this time?" Torifu didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point.
This pleased the other Kage. Otherwise, they would have to endure a tedious exchange of pleasantries and groundwork before getting to the subject.
Since the Tsuchikage had taken the lead on this visit, he was the one to speak.
"It is like this, Hokage-sama. What was that item you released in the village yesterday? It was truly beautiful and captivating, making us extremely curious."
Torifu chuckled. "So, you gentlemen are here because of that! Well, yesterday was the first day of my marriage to my wife, but the entire morning was spent discussing our collaborations with you all."
"So, my wife got a little upset, and that's why I used this item I developed to please her. I named it Firework."
The Kage realized what happened. Ah, so he was romancing his wife! No wonder it was such a grand spectacle. Since the Hokage mentioned "developed," it meant the item could certainly be mass-produced. The Kage were all secretly delighted.
Seeing this, the Tsuchikage followed up. "The truth is, Hokage-sama, we are all very interested in these Fireworks! It's the first time we've seen such a thing in all our years!" He then rubbed his hands together and asked with a smile, "So, I wanted to ask the Hokage-sama, do you have any Fireworks left? Are you willing to sell some to us?"
At this question, Torifu nodded internally but put on an apologetic expression. "Tsuchikage-sama, I sincerely apologize. I didn't produce many Fireworks, and the entire stock was used up last night."
The Kage were deeply disappointed, feeling a strong sense of regret. If they could acquire some of these Fireworks, they would be perfect for use during major festivals or celebrations in their villages. It would definitely create a cheerful atmosphere.
Noticing the clear disappointment on their faces, Torifu pretended to ponder the matter. "However... if you gentlemen desire them so much, it wouldn't be impossible for me to mobilize some people to set up a few factories and rush a batch into production. But it would take at least a month or so."
Life was a roller coaster. The Kage, who had just been disappointed about not being able to purchase Fireworks, immediately brightened up.
"Is that true, Hokage-sama?"
Torifu nodded. "It is true. But you gentlemen must guarantee that you will genuinely purchase them after we finish production, or it would be a waste of resources."
The Tsuchikage immediately patted his chest. "Hokage-sama, I won't speak for the other villages, but our Iwagakure will absolutely purchase them. We won't go back on our word."
"If you don't trust us, we can always sign a contract."
"That's right, Hokage-sama. We can sign a contract." The other Kage all chimed in.
This was exactly the effect Torifu was aiming for. If he had simply said he had inventory to sell, they wouldn't have valued the item as much. But now, Torifu was ostensibly forming an emergency production line solely because they wanted to buy them. This put the Kage in Torifu's debt.
Torifu waved his hand. "A contract isn't necessary. I trust the word of you gentlemen. I just need to know if you plan to purchase them long-term or as a one-time order, so I can produce a batch based on your needs."
"Iwagakure wants a long-term purchase!"
"Kirigakure, as well."
"Sunagakure, too!"
Finally, the Land of Iron also opted for a long-term purchase. The price of this item would, at most, be similar to that of the appliances. Since a single batch only lasted for about ten minutes, a one-time purchase wouldn't be enough to satisfy them.
Torifu nodded, his smile growing wider. "Excellent. Since you gentlemen are so fond of them, I will assign people to establish the production workshops right away. We should be ready to start selling in about a month's time."
The Kage's expressions were finally cheerful. The mission of their visit was complete. They had witnessed a world-class wedding in Konoha Village and signed a new batch of contracts. Now, they had secured the purchase of such beautiful Fireworks. It was truly a worthwhile trip.
"Hokage-sama, our Iwagakure intends to set off for home tomorrow, so we wanted to inform you today."
Torifu acknowledged this, then noticed the other Kage were also planning to leave tomorrow. It made sense; they had been in Konoha Village for almost five days. Including travel time, that would be over half a month. If they delayed any longer, their villages might face trouble. However, since they had just concluded the Firework collaboration with Torifu today, they clearly couldn't leave immediately, so they would depart tomorrow.
In fact, the Land of Iron was likely the most anxious to return. While the other villages had their Second-in-Commands maintaining order, the Land of Iron only had Ichiryu's subordinates managing things. Based on Ichiryu's judgment of their abilities, there were bound to be mistakes. But since they were returning tomorrow, there was no point in saying more.
After discussing the Firework purchase, the Kage toured the courtyard for a while. However, Torifu didn't take them to the area where Snowflake and Aokumo rested. After two rounds, they found a reason to take their leave. Torifu and Naori naturally bid them a warm farewell.
