They moved back the same way they came.
Fenric stayed in front.
Liana watched the rear.
No movement followed them.
No sounds from above.
They passed the bat chambers again.
Nothing stirred.
The bridges were quiet.
The air currents weaker now.
When they reached the upper floor boundary, Fenric felt the pressure ease.
"We're clear of the flying floor," he said.
Liana nodded. "Good. No pursuit."
They continued upward through the earlier passages.
The hall with cracked tiles was empty.
The crawler bodies were gone, absorbed by the dungeon.
The boar chamber was quiet.
Only stains and broken stone remained.
Fenric did not slow, but he stayed alert.
They passed the rest point with the broken crates.
No rats returned.
The split tunnel came into view again.
Fenric glanced at the downward path.
Still heavy pressure.
"Still not today," he said.
They took the known route back.
The lizard pool chamber was empty.
Water dripped softly.
The second chamber was silent.
