Chapter 72 - False definition

While we were battling against Reiji, Raizel and Aizis began their counterattack against Arfanez. But it wasn't the same Arfanez who appeared to be weak in front of Raizel a few weeks ago in the Supreme Realm. It's an Arfanez who appeared so deadly that it's nearly impossible for some transcendent to defeat him. However, it was my intrusive feelings only; the reality is going to be revealed soon, following the outcome of the very battle going to happen in the desert of the Absolute Spirit's world.

The flow of wind was rather intense and strong in the desert, forcing the countless pieces of desert to run all around there, like a free bird.

In that very place, three human figures appeared to be standing in a fearless stance. They were strong, effective, and more like some fearless deities with nothing to be feared about. In fact, their own presence created individual domains just for themselves, like a king with a throne just for himself.

However, among them, there was an exception whose presence created an extraordinary domain from the rest, like the supreme king in a world of kings. It was the being with a tall and effective figure along with long blonde hair. His majestically designed outfit made his presence even more effective. In a simple way, he was like a king, a king whose strength surpassed everyone's, a king who defines 'supremacy'.

With a strangely gentle smile on his lips, Arfanez spoke, calm yet bone-chilling, "The flowers exist to spread love and smiles, the birds exist to tell us sweet stories that we love to listen to, the sky reminds us of the vastness of the story, peace exists to be the reason for our smile, knowledge exists to enlighten us about the world, we imagine our dreams simply to satisfy ourselves, freedom appears in front of us to show the vastness of our capability, time runs to lead us toward the bright future existing in the future, those emotions speak from our heart to express the love we're holding for those certain ones we love the most. But later on, all of them lose their meaning."

Arfanez paused his voice. Then he lifted his right hand upward to the sky and brought a coin into his hand from the empty space. The flat coin had two sides with pure black and white being the colors of both sides. He threw the coin upward using the upper nail side of his thumb finger. The coin rose several meters upward and fell to the ground with the dark side of the coin appearing on the upper part.

Arfanez lowered his gaze toward the coin and lifted his gaze back immediately and spoke toward Raizel and Aizis, "Those sentences are not the true definition of those very aspects."

Once again, Arfanez paused to take a little break, calming himself down. Then he began speaking for the concluding time, "Those flowers don't exist to spread love but to demise and cause the reason for tears; those birds exist not only to tell stories but to be destroyed along with the stories being shattered by the mortals, the very readers of their stories. The sky doesn't smile all the time, but cries out by revealing the darkness of the night. When it's about knowledge, it's just the mortals' foolish desire to know the world, only to throw the lessons away when it's about their selfishness. Dreams exist to share the hope they're holding, only to fade away while keeping us waiting for eternity. Freedom exists for a moment, only to be destroyed by the boredom and selfish dominance of the mortals. We wish for dominance, only to be dominated at the very end. Our emotions appear as the reason for the beginning of that certain beautiful story, only to be the reason for chaos, the desire for revenge. And love? It's nothing but the foolishness of the mortals, their excuse for destruction and never-ending chaos that takes away smiles from their own faces, creating a conclusion that can never be loved."

After completing his sentence, he casually lifted his right hand a little upward as a fragment from above appeared in front of his hand. Arfanez grabbed the fragment of stories and started speaking once again, "A fragment of stories isn't some fantasy. It's the reality itself, the voice of the mortals. The stories that mortals imagine in their dreams reflect their life itself in those stories. Those stories never carry happiness, but endless traces of sadness and sorrow. I've always wished for a story, a certain story without the trace of sadness. I wanted to write a story that's truly a pure piece of fantasy where everything will be fantasy-like, something that we wish to witness. But..."

Arfanez lowered his voice once more.

"But the story was never like the way I wanted. I could never imagine a story like fantasy. My memory, my soul, and my mind itself have been cursed throughout the hatred and foolishness of the mortals. The purity of a fantasy story could never make an appearance in my soul, never will." Arfanez spoke. His voice began to fill with sorrow, sadness, and hatred. He wasn't really speaking himself, but his soul itself was loudly crying, with endless hatred holding in the core.

"That's why I will recreate the stories; I will recreate everything in the existing world. No matter what, I will definitely do it. Even if it means killing every single being in the world. My soul could no longer hold any emotion, ever since I killed…." He couldn't finish his sentence, as if his inner soul could no longer let him speak.
