Chapter 52: Hearts Still Burning

The players were still in the away dressing room after half-time, with Notts County leading 2-0.
Nobody was happy with the score. Kieron's mistakes had led to both goals, and Notts County's defence had made it difficult for Crawley to create clear chances.
Niels knew they were facing a tough second half. Notts County were top of the league and had looked very comfortable at the back.
Still, the game wasn't over.
Outside, the home fans were making plenty of noise. Around 4,000 Notts County supporters were singing "Magpies!" while the Crawley fans tried to make themselves heard.
"We are Crawley!"
One young supporter held up a sign that read, "Nate's Spirit!"
The players returned to the pitch. The cold was noticeable as they walked out, but the Crawley supporters continued singing.
"We'll never fall!"
Niels stood on the touchline and watched his players take their positions.
