"You lied to him, didn't you?" Linda words hang in the air, setting a more somber and heavy mood.
Not even the soothing scent of nature could soften Linda's words, which struck right where they affected Lucian the most. The words were hurtfully true.
Linda, however, didn't stop. She furrowed her eyebrows as if estimating the weight of the words she was about to utter, and still purposely about to do it because she believed it was better if someone close enough told you.
"And you don't simply like him. You're already head over heels for him. You already fell in love." The words were posed fast but with meaning.
After that statement, Linda waited for Lucian's astonishment. For him to look at her as if the person he trusted the most had just hurt him with the weight of the truth, which was correct.
Her concern started to show. she was waiting, already regretting her words.
