With a silent satisfaction, I watched Thorne address the crowd. He was going to point out Nanisca as his killer, and have her banished or stoned to death, as the laws of TwinMoon pack demanded.
"I was attacked," Thorne started, and I frowned slightly. We all knew that already. What we itched to hear was by who. Nanisca was horrified now, she looked like she would run out of the room any moment, or better still, disappear.
But none of that was going to happen. Her time was up now. She would either be stoned to death or banished from TwinMoon pack in a few minutes.
"I can't tell who it was because the person was fully masked." He added, and I shook my head in disbelief. This wasn't what Declan and I agreed two days ago. Why was Thorne saying something else now, and worse still, why was Declan doing nothing about it?
