I contemplated between going with Dylan to the front of the room where his father was and to remain where I was currently seated for a while after Dylan left.
Opting for none of the options, I left for my bedroom, allowing the wave of relief to wash over me. The whole turn of events, although not planned, had worked in my favour.
All thanks to Declan who, as it seemed, was on our side the whole time.
I stepped into the room after pushing the door open, and quickly bit down the scream that threatened to go out from my mouth.
"You gave me a fright, Mira." I said, pressing a hand to my chest.
"I'm sorry," Mira replied. She was beaming, but I was cautious not to get my hopes up.
"You got it?" I asked, my breath hitched.
"Yes!" Mira exclaimed, and brought out the red sash with a lot of inscriptions and symbols, all of which were strange.
