Alpha Vincent was quiet when we got to him in the royal dungeons. He looked so tired and weak that I wondered if he had really chanted an incantation, or the men were lying against him.
But he was a funny man so their claims could be true.
He let out an annoying laugh when he saw me, and then he shook his head in a sympathetic manner.
I ignored him totally, and intended to ignore him for the rest of the time, but an idea suddenly hit me, which made my intention impossible.
He is an Alpha, and should know everything about the totally submissive spell. He should know why Regina was still bound by it even after Magnus' death. I pulsed my lips, not sure if asking him was a good idea, but I was mostly unsure if he would give a reply.
But the image of Regina's unconscious body on the floor flashed through my memory just then, and propelled me to give it a try.
