Kakashi could see that this battle would not be an easy one.
Not only for him but also the Avengers and X-Men.
Even though the horsemen were outnumbered, they were fighting with much greater power than the other mutants.
Sabretooth, who according to X-Men and Mystique was physically weaker than Logan and could not regenerate as fast and had smaller claws but right now he was kicking Cap and Logan's ass and they were barely holding him back.
His strength matched Cap who was a super soldier and was also using chakra to enhance his blows. Sabretooth's claws were longer now, almost two feet of bone. Every swipe tore deep gouges in the sand.
His healing closed wounds almost instantly. Cap's shield rang with every hit to the man who got up after regenerating. Sabretooth laughed through bloodied teeth. "Come on, Jimmy! Is that all you got left?"
Logan snarled back. "Shut your mouth, Victor."
Cap threw his shield again. It spun through the air and struck Sabretooth's chest. The beast staggered but did not fall. He ripped the shield free and hurled it back. Cap caught it mid-air. The three men circled. None gave ground. None could afford to.
And most of all, he was regenerating at a very high rate as well. All claws that Logan struck in his gut and laser beams that Cyclops hit him with were healed quickly.
Logan slashed across Sabretooth's stomach. Deep cuts opened. Blood poured. Within seconds the skin knit together.
Cyclops fired another optic blast. The beam burned through Sabretooth's shoulder. The wound closed before the smoke cleared. Sabretooth laughed louder. "You boys tickle." He lunged again.
Then Kakashi looked at Pyro who was supposed to be a normal mutant but was blasting fire with no limit. Iceman who was an Omega had his ice practically melting.
Tony had decided to support him after Kakashi decided to fight Apocalypse himself so they were keeping Pyro at bay.
Pyro stood on a pillar of metal. Flames poured from his hands in rivers. Iceman raised ice barriers.
Tony flew above as he fired repulsor bursts. Pyro dodged. Laughed. "Come on, tin man! Is that all your toys can do?" Tony answered with another volley. "Keep talking, firebug. Makes it easier to aim."
Kakashi turned to the girl fight.
Psylocke was a very skilled fighter with ability to create constructs of that pink coloured energy. Natasha was keeping up with her along with some help from Beast and Nightcrawler.
Magneto was giving Hulk, Angel, and Storm a lot of trouble. Storm had decided to help them after realising that her powers would not be be effective against Apocalypse who could create barriers to defend against them.
And then there was himself who had yet to even make a scratch on Apocalypse though he had not gone all out yet and had not used most of his Mangekyō powers apart from Kamui, he knew that the same was true for the supposed mutant god.
Kakashi knew that he could not waste his chakra without properly assessing the threat and his full scope of abilities.
As he waited for Apocalypse to make his next move, he heard Jean shout.
"I can't get into her mind and trying to communicate with her. Something is blocking me." Jean shouted as she tried to use her telepathy on Psylocke.
"But I am sure of it she is being controlled," she continued.
Hank shouted, "What of the other three?"
"Both Sabretooth and Pyro seem to have their minds protected too but I don't see someone else trying to control them. And I can't tell anything about Magneto with his helmet," Jean said trying to reach into their minds.
"That's because we are not girlie," Sabretooth said as he spit blood.
"I have been given such greater power by my master. Now I stand in a different league," Pyro said arroganly.
Flames danced along his arms. "Before I was just a man with a lighter. Now? I am fire itself. I burn what I want. When I want. How I want. Master showed me true power. And you will all burn for standing against him."
"Our new master has opened our eyes to a new world," Sabretooth said. "Sadly, Erik and that Psylocke girl do not see it that way and thus master had decided to take control of their actions."
He then turned to Logan. "Brother, how does it feel to be the weaker one… I so yearned to pound you on the ground once again just like the older times."
And with that he jumped again on Logan only for Cap's shield to send him flying again.
But Kakashi was more focused on Apocalypse having mind control powers.
'If he has power of telepathy and mind control, why does he need Charles?Hmm, Charles is a very strong telepath so maybe he lacks that type of power. He maybe has only alpha ranked telepathy power but not what he needs to achieve his goals. And that's why he decided to only control only two of the four horsemen. If he wants to control the whole world, he is not a man that would let even those who support him free.' Kakashi thought.
Kakashi said, "Jean focus your efforts on finding Professor."
Jean nodded.
And Kakashi turned his focus back on Apocalypse who was also calmly observing the ongoing fights after their previous bout.
He then looked at Kakashi. "You are strong mortal… I will give you salvation…"
"You fight with skill. Join me. Stand at my side. Together we will remake existence. You will be my right hand. My sword. My herald. You will never age. Never tire. Never fall. I offer you godhood. All I ask is your loyalty. Kneel. And rise as something more."
Kakashi stared at him.
"Yeah no…" Kakashi simply said and moved once again to attack him.
