UK:GSW Chapter 411 – Shukaku Roasted Over the Fire

Today, the Tailed Beasts had all gathered together—ready to decide the path for the future, to create a grand new era side by side.

Well… almost all of them.

Guess who wasn't here for this grand meeting?

That's right—Gyūki, the Eight-Tails. Only you didn't show up!

This was the thought that crossed the mind of World No. 2's Nine-Tails inside the Illusionary Great World as he observed the situation. He couldn't help but chuckle, already imagining Gyūki's frustrated face when he found out.

Meanwhile, back in World No. 2, Gyūki—still out wandering with Killer B—suddenly sneezed for no reason, looking puzzled.

Back in the Illusionary Great World, the Nine-Tails' body suddenly shifted—transforming into his "Sett" form. Striking a uniquely overconfident macho pose, he arrogantly scanned his seven fellow Tailed Beast brothers and sisters of World No. 2.

In this place, the Tailed Beasts were not in their original massive forms, but proportionally scaled down to human size—just as the World No. 2 Nine-Tails had once experienced. Now the others got to experience it for themselves.

"Sett" clicked his tongue with a smirk, radiating the smugness of a trailblazer who had "been there, done that."

The other Tailed Beasts were taken aback—some annoyed.

After all, being captured by Akatsuki and sealed into the Gedo Statue had already been a humiliating and terrifying ordeal. No sooner had they been freed than they were forcibly thrown into this bizarre illusion world, their bodies shrunk to human height. It felt like a cruel and senseless punishment.

And now, Nine-Tails was laughing at them.

Sure, they were surprised he could turn into a human, and curious about his current form. They didn't understand this illusion world at all—but that didn't stop them from getting angry.

Especially Shukaku, the One-Tail, Nine-Tails' eternal rival. He immediately blew up:

"Damn fox, what are you laughing at?! And what the hell is that form? You actually turned into a human? Where's your pride and dignity as a Tailed Beast?"

"Don't tell me you've been completely tamed by humans?!"

Sett snorted disdainfully, tilting his head to look down his nose at Shukaku.

"Shukaku, you're still the same—never changed, never grown. You don't understand the infinite possibilities humans can bring. You have no idea how great and fun this illusion world truly is. You don't even know that the Child of Prophecy has already appeared, or that the era of Tailed Beasts and humans living in harmony—just like the Sage said—has already arrived."

"You… are truly pitiful~"

The ridicule in his tone, the condescending attitude, the maximum-level mockery—this was Sett's honest view of his old rival.

It wasn't just to provoke him. After seeing and experiencing so much, Sett truly believed he'd grown far beyond the other Tailed Beasts, adopting the classic "looking down on the country bumpkin relative" mentality.

Still, despite that annoying attitude, he did intend to bring the others along into this new age—even Shukaku.

Whether Shukaku would accept it was another matter. Judging by his reaction, probably not. The moment Sett finished, Shukaku exploded, ignoring all that "Child of Prophecy" and "peace era" nonsense, and charged in for an all-out brawl.

The other Tailed Beasts reacted in mixed ways—some rushed to intervene, others stood back with cold indifference, and a few even egged them on.

Yet all of them were secretly dwelling on what Sett had said about the Child of Prophecy and the coming age of peace. It was shocking news… but delivered in such a mocking tone that it felt strange and suspect.

After all, everyone knew the One-Tail and Nine-Tails' relationship was famously hostile.

Just then, a terrifying pressure swept over them—a force so oppressive it felt like a mountain crushing down.

All eyes turned to the one who had been silently standing nearby this whole time—someone with Nine-Tails' chakra, yet markedly different: a silver-haired, fox-eared woman with nine white tails.

Earlier, they had looked at her curiously, wondering who she was and what her connection to Nine-Tails might be, but they had thought little of it.

Now, hearing her speak in a cool, beautiful voice—

"Have you finished your little squabble? If you're done, then be quiet. I don't have time to waste on you."

—the terrifying pressure vanished, leaving the Tailed Beasts able to breathe again, though they now stared at her in wary confusion.

Sett wiped a bead of cold sweat from his brow and grinned nervously.

"Big Sis… you've gotten even stronger, huh?"

"Big Sis" was what Sett called her. Her identity was obvious—Tamamo-no-Mae, the Nine-Tails of the Main World.

Over time, World No. 2's Nine-Tails had been completely won over by her—willingly calling her Big Sis. She was a veteran gamer who always carried him in matches, overwhelmingly powerful, and perfectly capable of beating him down whenever she wanted.

He also knew she had been deeply influenced by human emotions and experiences through the illusion game and network—changing her "color" entirely, along with her chakra and soul.

And thanks to Uchiha Kei regularly sharing "system gacha" items and luxury otaku care packages, Tamamo-no-Mae's evolution had accelerated. Though still a Tailed Beast in essence, she was now fundamentally different from the rest—almost like she was evolving toward Ten-Tails level.

Nine-Tails knew that even if he regained his other half from the Shinigami, he still wouldn't be her match.

But he kept that to himself.

The other Tailed Beasts, meanwhile, were shocked by the way Sett addressed her—with respect they had never seen from him toward anyone but the Sage of Six Paths.

Tamamo-no-Mae simply said, "Enough. No need to waste words. Sett, explain things to them."

The others were baffled—"Sett"? Why call Nine-Tails that?

Sett just grinned and began explaining—where they were, what this place was for, his own situation, and Tamamo-no-Mae's identity.

Learning this was a fully immersive illusion world shocked them all—it felt far too real. But the real mind-breaker was discovering that the fox-eared woman was another Nine-Tails from another world, and that another entire ninja world existed.

Their worldviews crumbled.

Then Shukaku, being Shukaku, loudly mocked Tamamo-no-Mae for being a "female Nine-Tails"—proudly flaunting his death wish, while the other Tailed Beasts subtly backed away. Sett, meanwhile, stared at him with an expression of admiration—for his suicidal courage.

Tamamo-no-Mae regarded the laughing Shukaku with the cold indifference one might reserve for a piece of spoiled meat.

Moments later, all the Tailed Beasts were standing perfectly still, bodies trembling.

Not far away, Shukaku was bound to a special metal frame, slowly rotating like meat on a spit. His mouth was gagged, and Tamamo-no-Mae's foxfire blazed beneath him, roasting him alive.

His muffled howls and frantic struggling were in vain—the restraints held firm.

Wiping her immaculate hands with a silk cloth, Tamamo-no-Mae said calmly,

"Don't worry. We share the same origin. Though your attitude displeases me, I won't kill you. Just stay like this for ten days."

The other Tailed Beasts shivered. Shukaku thrashed even harder—but it was useless.

They all now fully understood how terrifying Tamamo-no-Mae was. Any thought of resistance vanished. All that remained was the will to obey.

After all, when she attacked Shukaku, she had even restored his full strength, while keeping her own human form. They had thought she was crazy—how could a human-form Tailed Beast beat a full-powered one? Surely Shukaku would crush her.

Only Sett knew better. He'd made the same mistake when they first met—and been utterly destroyed.

And just as he predicted, Shukaku was savagely beaten, overwhelmed, burned, and finally pinned down—before being placed on the giant barbecue rack Tamamo-no-Mae summoned with Uchiha Kei's admin privileges.

The pain was real in the illusion world—and Shukaku would be feeling it for a long time.

The "roast Shukaku to warn the rest" tactic worked perfectly. The other Tailed Beasts became model citizens, pledging absolute cooperation with Tamamo-no-Mae.

Satisfied, she used her admin privileges to spawn a selection of humanoid avatars for them to choose from. After all, if they were going to live in the illusion world, they would need "disguises" just like the Nine-Tails.

Now it was time for them to pick their new looks.
