Chapter 369 - Chapter 369: The Suitable Body is Here!

After receiving a call from his father, Harry Osborn sat on the sofa at home, unable to stop his mind from racing. He wasn't entirely sure if what his father said was true—that his problems were the responsibility of his second personality, and that everything that had happened was due to the second personality's symptoms worsening after his mother's death.

Could this be true? Were many of those despicable acts actually committed by his father's second personality, the so-called Green Goblin? Was that Green Goblin the Goblin King, or was his father himself the Goblin King?

And was it true that the Avengers had captured the Goblin King?

Harry lay on the sofa, lost in thought, for an unknown period of time. Suddenly, golden sparks flashed around him, startling him into standing up. He then saw a portal open, and Peter, wearing the black Spider-Man suit, stepped out.

"Oh, uh, Peter? Is this some kind of new power?"

"I've been learning magic recently, and this is only the second time I've opened a portal."

Peter shrugged. This was actually his first time coming to the Osborn residence, but the Sling Ring didn't require an extremely precise visualization of the location; as long as he concentrated enough to think "find Harry Osborn," the Sling Ring could open the door, much like Ned in the MCU universe.

"Oh, what's up?"

"It's a lot of things, but in short..." Peter paused mid-sentence. "Wait, the Green Goblin didn't come looking for you? I mean, your family's Green Goblin AI?"

"No, why...?"

Just as Peter spoke, the Green Goblin AI quickly took over Harry's house. The goblin-head projection rapidly appeared, exclaiming, "Ah, magic! I never thought something like this would happen. I must say, Spider-Man, just when I think I know enough about you, you always manage to pull out some new trick."

"Harry, is there anyone else in your house?"

"No—!!!"

Before Harry could finish his sentence, Peter quickly yanked him into the portal with a web, and Peter swiftly closed the door. He wasn't sure if the AI Green Goblin would immediately blow up Harry's house, but he definitely needed to prevent that.

The still-shaken Harry gasped when he saw the people in the new room they had arrived in: Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and a blue-furred creature.

"Is this the Avengers Tower?" Harry was baffled. He looked at Peter and asked with a slight wariness, "Uh, Spider-Man, what's going on?"

So Peter explained to Harry again what had happened to Norman. When Harry heard that his father's personality might be completely erased and his body taken over by the evil second personality, he couldn't sit still. "What... what can I do..."

"Our most important task right now is to ensure your safety. The AI Green Goblin needs someone compatible with the Goblin Formula, and you are one of them."

The moment Peter finished speaking, Emma Frost, the White Queen, raised an objection: "Actually, he truly can help."

Peter looked at Emma with dissatisfaction.

"His father is currently fighting for control of his own mind, and with all due respect, his father is hardly a match for the other side. I've encountered that Green Goblin; even a Green Goblin based only on the memories of others can possess its own independent consciousness." Emma looked at Peter. "Norman Osborn can't be his opponent, and even I would be the same, but adding his son might change things."

"I want to go."

Harry instantly agreed, then looked at Peter. "I'm sorry, Spider-Man, I know you're worried about me, but that's my father. Maybe I can save him, please."

Peter sighed and looked at Emma.

"Can you guarantee his safety?"

"I can only say that I can protect his mind. But considering that Steve Rogers and Logan are also guarding him nearby, I think his body should be fine too."

Peter then silently opened the Sling Ring for the second time, allowing Harry and Emma to follow. He had opened a portal once before to find Strange. Because Strange had the simplest way to solve this problem: just slap both Norman's and the Green Goblin's souls out, and everything would be resolved.

But Strange refused, stating that this was not a matter for the magic side, so he wouldn't interfere. Peter only had himself to blame for learning the skill too slowly.

Therefore, this task could only be left to the potentially untrustworthy Emma and the deeply worried Harry.

At the same time, Peter had another confusion.

If neither Hamilton nor Harry was the AI Green Goblin's target, then who did the AI Green Goblin plan to capture as its body? It couldn't possibly just go through life in a random person's body, could it?

Given the Green Goblin's personality, could he really tolerate being in the body of an ordinary person?

Or did he choose some unknown super-human?

Peter was pondering the AI Green Goblin's target, while the scientists were already busy. Tony clapped his hands. "Alright, we first need to design a program that can resist the damn AI Green Goblin, and then try to eradicate him. Any ideas, everyone?"

"I have one."

Pym looked at everyone and slowly spoke: "I... I upgraded Ultron using my brainwaves. His current computing power is sufficient to contend with the AI Green Goblin, but the learning time hasn't been long enough, so he might not be the AI Green Goblin's match in the short term."

Tony stared at Pym, dumbfounded. "You, you what?"

"I upgraded Ultron with my own brainwaves. I know you're anxious, but try to stay calm for a moment."

Pym didn't give Tony time to object and immediately pulled up his findings. "Ultron has hacked into the NYPD network and intercepted all NYPD communication information. Among the reports filed by all the owners of that metal sphere, the Green Goblin specifically flagged many people, most of whom have already been altered by the Green Goblin. Only this person is an exception."

Peter looked at the name "Phil Urich" on the screen, a reporter for the Daily Bugle. He remembered this reporter; he was the one following J. Jonah Jameson today.

At this very moment, J. Jonah Jameson was furious because he had witnessed Spider-Man's violent arrest of Roderick. Although there was no doubt that what Spider-Man did was right, J. Jonah Jameson was still dissatisfied with Spider-Man's actions, so much so that he was throwing a tantrum back at the Daily Bugle.

"This is pure violent vigilantism! No, Spider-Man isn't even an officer of the law, this is pure violence!" J. Jonah Jameson grumbled discontentedly, then frowned. "I'm going to denounce him!"

Mary Jane was about to say something but looked out the window because, for some reason, an ominous green light was flashing outside.
