Chapter 477 - 477: The Dragon God’s Appointment

Uchiha Chiga looked at the Grand Minister with a peculiar gaze, feeling as though the Grand Minister was practically giving away his daughters—a two-for-one deal wrapped in divine radiance.

The Grand Minister, noticing the flicker of thought behind Chiga's calm expression, said in his usual tranquil tone,

"This is the duty of our Angel race, Dragon God. Please don't misunderstand."

What could Chiga say to that? He had already gained more than he expected. Two Angels as attendants were no small reward. He wasn't about to act ungrateful now.

Having two Angelic guardians was a privilege even the Gods of Destruction could only dream of.

Grand Zeno blinked his wide, curious eyes and asked in his soft, childlike voice,

"Then what about the Sixth and Eleventh Universes? Should we just leave their Angel positions empty?"

The Grand Minister's smile remained polite and unreadable as he replied,

"Grand Zeno, I believe it would be wise to merge the Sixth, Seventh, and Eleventh Universes into one, under the jurisdiction of the Dragon God. You've often said there are too many Universes. This could ease your burden."

Chiga immediately saw the implication. The Grand Minister was attempting to reduce Zeno's oversight by handing a portion of his authority to Chiga—a move that, under normal circumstances, Zeno would never approve of unless he'd lost his mind.

But to Chiga's surprise, the small ruler lifted his hand enthusiastically and said,

"Okay! Let's do it that way!"

Chiga blinked, wondering if the little god's round head had been struck too many times. Still, this unexpected approval saved him the trouble of negotiating.

Beerus raised a hesitant hand, his voice uncertain.

"Sirs, what about me?"

The Grand Minister waved casually.

"You'll retain your position as God of Destruction. The same applies to the other two. The merged Universe will be vast—one God of Destruction wouldn't suffice."

He then turned to Whis, who had been silently observing with his usual serenity.

"Whis, from this moment, you are appointed Angel Chief. You'll oversee the daily affairs and discipline of the three Gods of Destruction."

"Eh???" Whis froze, eyes wide in disbelief. He could hardly believe his ears.

Angel Chief sounded grand, but in reality, it was just another word for overworked caretaker. He had been perfectly content managing Beerus—sleep schedules, temper tantrums, and all. Adding Champa to the mix was a headache waiting to happen, and the thought of supervising Belmod, a total stranger, only made his celestial heart sink further.

Vados, his elder sister, smirked mischievously.

"Congratulations, Whis. You've really made something of yourself."

"..."

Whis forced a strained smile, his composure cracking slightly. Before the Grand Minister and Grand Zeno, he couldn't afford to show irritation.

"Thank you for your trust, Grand Minister. I will do my utmost not to disappoint you."

The Grand Minister nodded in satisfaction. From his perspective, it was a perfect outcome. The Universes were stabilized, his daughters' futures were secured, and his son had just earned a promotion. Truly, a masterful arrangement.

Grand Zeno, meanwhile, remained silent throughout, looking increasingly disinterested. If this were the human world, he'd be the emperor who played all day, while the Grand Minister ruled from behind the throne.

The ones most delighted by the development were Vados and Marcarita. Both curtsied gracefully toward Chiga. Vados spoke first, smiling sweetly.

"From now on, we'll be relying on your care, Dragon God."

Marcarita followed suit, her bright eyes curving into crescents as joy radiated from her serene face.

After they sat close to Chiga, the room felt unusually harmonious. The Grand Minister, wearing a benevolent father's smile, rose from the sofa and said to Zeno,

"Grand Zeno, it's time for us to return."

But Zeno puffed his cheeks and protested,

"I don't want to go back yet. We've barely been out, and you've just been talking and talking—it's so boring!"

The Grand Minister froze, momentarily speechless. He had carefully planned today's proceedings, but Zeno's sudden childish whim threw everything off.

"I was negligent, Grand Zeno," he said cautiously. "What would you like to do?"

Zeno crossed his tiny arms, huffing.

"How should I know? Didn't you say Earth has lots of fun things? Where are they?"

A drop of sweat slid down the Grand Minister's temple. Truthfully, "Earth" had only been a pretext—he had no idea what entertainment it held. He had only brought Zeno here to handle matters concerning Chiga and his daughters.

Now, his plan had backfired. The supreme deity of the multiverse was acting like an impatient child.

The Grand Minister glanced toward Chiga, who sat calmly observing. For some reason, that made him even more irritated. I came all this way to hand you authority, arrange my daughters, and even strengthen your influence—and you're just sitting there, snacking like a spectator?

Unable to contain his annoyance, the Grand Minister turned sharply toward him.

"Dragon God, Grand Zeno wants to know what's fun on Earth. Since this world falls under your jurisdiction, shouldn't you, as the host, show him some hospitality?"

Zeno immediately looked up at Chiga, his large eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Chiga's lips twitched. He wasn't used to dealing with children—his only previous experience was Momonosuke, whose ashes he'd personally scattered. Compared to that brat, Zeno was much more tolerable… but still exhausting.

After thinking for a moment, Chiga suggested,

"How about… we go to an amusement park?"

Zeno tilted his head.

"Amusement park? What's fun there?"

"Uh, there are things like riding ponies and fishing for goldfish. Have you tried that before?"

Chiga had considered mentioning roller coasters, but then realized—Zeno couldn't possibly fear heights. For someone who could erase Universes, a roller coaster would feel like a rocking horse.

Zeno's eyes sparkled with excitement. Floating into the air, he spun in a few joyful circles before diving straight into Chiga's arms.

"It sounds fun! Let's go to the amusement park!"

Chiga and the Grand Minister exchanged helpless looks. For

all their divine might, neither had the faintest clue how to handle a child's whims.
