Clementine:
Ian and I had a very special night in that mansion.
It was our last night there because, after this, we were going to hand the mansion over to the lurkers.
Before that, we still had a few things to take care of.
When we woke up in the morning, I received text messages from Leysa saying they had finally reached the pack.
They had taken quite some time, so I think they might have spent time somewhere else or stayed the night somewhere.
When I called Leysa, I realized how nervous they were.
That's when I told Ian to book the first flight. We needed to get there as soon as possible.
Thankfully, we arrived just in time to catch Gracie trying to escape.
She was running like a madwoman. When we saw her, we caught her.
I steadied her a little because I remembered how much of a hard time she used to give me whenever I went to meet her son.
And then how she was going to drug me so her son could kidnap me.
The moment I saw her, all of that came rushing back.
