Mr. Hughes's gaze penetrated the layers of walls, seeing Leyton in the living room, currently enjoying family time with his Mother. A slight smile appeared on his lips as he said, "When you descended into this body, you absorbed the remaining spirit of Leyton. This is why you could acquire some of his memories and emotions."
"When I helped you separate this identity, I strengthened his self-awareness. He is still one of your avatars, but he can also be seen as a continuation of Leyton."
Leyton nodded slightly. This was an outcome he could accept.
If not for the fact that his experiences in this world were not yet sufficient to separate a second identity, he wouldn't mind completely awakening the spirit of Leyton in his avatar, letting the part of his consciousness that belonged to him fall into slumber, leaving this avatar to accompany his family.
"I think I should return to the Golden Dream."
Leyton sighed softly, his brows furrowed, his mood appearing somewhat depressed.
From the very beginning, many things were planned. He wondered what attitude the God of Knowledge held in all of this.
"Having lost the stable anchor of your family, you need more anchors to compensate."
"The Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom has always had the idea of spreading its teachings in the Southern Continent. You can go find Lucca Brewster; he is the cleric of the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom responsible for West Bayland affairs. In West Bayland, you can more easily open up the situation."
Mr. Hughes's words reached Leyton's ears. By the time he looked back, Mr. Hughes's figure had already vanished.
Leaving so quickly? Did he specifically come here to tell me these things?
Leyton mused for a moment, then stepped into the Spirit World, his figure rapidly becoming transparent and disappearing from the spot.
In the dining room downstairs, Leyton, sitting by the fireplace with his Mother, looked up as if sensing something. Without Beyonder characteristic, he couldn't see anything beyond the walls and ceiling. Has he left already?
"What's wrong?"
Isabel looked at her child with a smile.
"Nothing. I rushed back and haven't had dinner yet; I'm a little hungry."
Leyton shook his head lightly, explaining casually.
"Sherry has gone back. Do you want to try your Mother's cooking?"
The expression on Leyton's face froze for a second, then he quickly shook his head and said, "I'm suddenly not very hungry. Let me tell you about my adventures at sea!"
On the Golden Dream, Leyton's figure quietly emerged.
He glanced at the window nearby. Crow Anu had flown off to who knows where and hadn't appeared in the cabin.
He then walked to the desk, pulled up a chair, and sat down. He casually picked up a letter left by the Book Messenger on the desk and unfolded it:
Good evening, Mr. Tines:
I have already contacted the inventor named Leopard as you instructed and have developed him into a Beyonder of the Savant Pathway.
I haven't had the chance to find and contact more inventors. The Demoness Church's activities in Backlund have been very frequent recently; they seem to be targeting the Aurora Order, searching for something. If this continues, I will have to consider leaving Backlund.
Also, I would like to ask you for the potion formula for the Demoness of Afflictions. To transmigrate to an Iron-Blooded Knight, I must first become a Demoness of Afflictions.
A Demoness: Trissy.
After reading the letter from Trissy, Leyton chuckled aloud:
"Heh, she wants to ask me for the Mystical Item that can change appearance, which I promised before, but she doesn't want to ask directly."
Using the same letter paper, he shook it twice, and the writing on it automatically disappeared.
Then he placed the paper on the desk, picked up the round-bellied steel pen nearby, and began to write his reply to Trissy:
Dear Miss Demoness (crossed out)
Good evening, future Mr. Hunter:
The formula for the Demoness of Afflictions is as follows:
Main ingredients: Head of a Flowered-Face Bat, Gallbladder of a Twin-Tailed Black Snake;
Supplementary ingredients: 30 ml of Flowered-Face Bat blood, 50 ml of severely ill human blood, tip of a Twin-Tailed Black Snake's tail, 10 drops of Blue Zinnia Eucalyptus essential oil;
Ritual: Without using a substitute, be burned at the stake for fifteen minutes and survive, without going mad.
Also, a reminder: the acting principle of the Demoness of Afflictions is to destroy the beautiful things the opponent wants to protect, making them suffer in extreme mental anguish.
As for the Mystical Item I promised you, I will have someone put it in Leopard's mailbox within the next two days. Just remember to pick it up.
Additionally, it is best not to purchase materials at Beyonder gatherings in Backlund. Perhaps one or several of them are lovers developed by that Demoness.
Finally, I wish you a pleasant life!
Al Tines.
After writing his reply to Trissy, Leyton immediately prepared to summon his Book Messenger.
Before he could make a move, a pale yellow paper fell from the Spirit World into reality, slowly floating down before him.
"What a day for receiving letters."
Leyton murmured softly, then raised his hand and sent the reply to Trissy into the Spirit World, while also reminding, "Give me another piece of paper."
"This letter is going to Backlund, to the lady who asked you to send a letter."
Leyton slightly raised his eyes, his gaze penetrating the barrier between reality and the Spirit World. He saw the Book Messenger, a book with a golden cover, retrieve the paper he had handed over.
Then, it spontaneously flipped its pages, and a fresh, pale yellow paper floated down from the Spirit World.
Leyton reached out and caught the falling paper, placing it aside, and first read the letter that the Book Messenger had just delivered.
What met his eyes was a bunch of awkward words formed by characters that seemed forcibly pieced together, interspersed with some rabbit stick figures.
Leyton read Bugs Bunny's letter to him, guessing as he went.
It recounted its experiences with Klein in Bansy Harbor, mainly how it brilliantly dealt with those headless corpses, making that foolish pirate, worth 3,000 pounds, look at it with new respect.
The remaining part of the description mostly depicted how terrifying Gehrman Sparrow was. It felt that Klein might have issues with split personality. During combat, he would occasionally display madness, with a terrifying sense of hunger, as if he wanted to eat rabbit meat.
Only at the end did it ask about the telegraph office and the cultists who performed primitive sacrifices.
If Fors were to write an adventure novel with Bugs Bunny as the prototype, it would definitely become a popular children's book. Hmm… it's feasible.
It could be published in the Southern Continent as an enlightenment reading for the children there. In the future, if Bugs Bunny becomes a demigod or even an angel, these would all be its anchors.
Hmm… Desolate Matriarch is not good; it would turn into a female rabbit. Life-Giver, on the other hand… Ugh, I'm thinking too much. Given its current digestion progress, who knows how long it will take to become a Druid!
Shaking his head slightly, he casually picked up the pen and wrote two sentences in reply to Bugs Bunny on the paper:
"The situation at the telegraph office should have nothing to do with those cultists. Those cultists wouldn't make me foresee danger."
"The bloody sacrifice in Bansy Harbor comes from an evil god there, a Weather Warlock…"
After Bugs Bunny's questions, Leyton wrote two more lines of reply and then set the letter aside. The Book Messenger was still delivering letters to him, so the information synchronization would probably be a bit slow.
As he pondered, he picked up the blank paper lying nearby and began to write a letter to Pallez:
Respected Elder Pallez, and Leonard, good evening!
Elder Pallez, I wonder how your strength recovery is going. I have some matters recently that require your assistance.
I wonder if you know about the book "Groselle's Travels." I just happened to see this book recently, and there is a great noble from the Fourth Epoch in the book who seems to be your direct descendant…
There is a completely True world in this book, and those stories also truly happened in the world within the book. The people who fell into the world within the book should not have truly died yet. I wonder what your thoughts are on this.
Additionally, I would like to purchase a potion formula for a Dream Stealer from you. I wonder what price I need to pay?
Finally, I wish you a pleasant life. If you don't mind, please reply as soon as possible.
Your friend, Al Tines.
After writing the letter to Pallez, Leyton leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and meditated for a while.
It wasn't until his spirituality was touched that he opened his eyes and looked at the paper on which he had just written a reply to Bugs Bunny. The previous content had all disappeared, and new lines of words emerged:
"Weather Warlock? Is this the Storm Pathway? Or Hunter? Which Sequence?"
"Do you have any thoughts on the situation at the telegraph office? Could it be a manifestation of pollution from the City of Calamity?"
"These questions are clearly from Klein," Leyton muttered to himself, then picked up the pen and began to reply:
"It's the same as the Beyonder characteristic above the Gray Fog, just Sequence 2."
"I'm not clear about the situation at the telegraph office. I only felt a sense of danger there when I was divining for Bugs Bunny, so I reminded it… However, I think you can trust your intuition."
The intuition of a Beacon of Destiny is almost equivalent to a fact. The Weather Warlock in Bansy Harbor might have been corrupted by the City of Calamity long ago, or even, he is a Beyonder characteristic controlled and vivified by the City of Calamity.
After pondering for a while, Leyton leaned back against the chair, his head slightly tilted back, clearing his mind, no longer thinking about these things. Anyway, the City of Calamity and I have no conflict.
He casually picked up the letter written to Pallez and threw the paper into the Spirit World.
The golden Book Messenger swiftly passed by, retrieved the paper, and roamed towards Backlund.
