Little Kaima absolutely hadn't forgotten the final objective she and Miles had when they entered the obelisk tower.
After Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder fell in its god-slaying collapse, the last remaining hope within the tower was one of the Egyptian Gods—Obelisk the Tormentor.
Dark Aisha suddenly realized: "So the man our ancestor spoke of, the one who holds the Tormentor, was Seto Kaiba all along!"
That said, judging by Kaiba's floor-draw posture right now, before entering this domain closest to the underworld, his Deck absolutely did not contain Obelisk the Tormentor.
Kaima said in disbelief, "Don't tell me… Yuna Carlos foresaw this happening ahead of time?"

When you can attack, you attack—then deal with Obelisk afterward.
"Dark Magician Girl—direct attack! 'Dark Burning Attack'!!"
"Not happening, Miles!"
Kaiba stood, the lingering flames of the Sun God finally extinguished on his coat.
The AR Duel Disk reignited in blue light as Kaiba swept open his final Set card.
"I activate the Trap Card—'Defense Draw'!"

A defensive Trap similar to Counter Gate—one negates an attack declaration, the other negates battle damage.
And both draw an additional card.
"Answer this battle-will that spans three thousand years—DRAW!!"
Kaiba drew a second time this turn as Dark Magician Girl's blast dissipated.
He looked at the new card—then at the Alternative White Dragon in his hand.
"So the Blue-Eyes… has left me its final dragon soul!"
Two consecutive direct attacks from the master-and-disciple pair had been stopped. As the Battle Phase ended, Miles slammed a card into his Duel Disk.
"I Set one card. Turn end!"
Miles had locked himself to 1 Life Point through his soul-link with Ra.
However, with Ra at 4999 ATK and the Dark Magicians standing beside it, he had thoroughly reversed the Duel against Kaiba's empty field.
"My turn—draw!"
Kaiba's third draw, the AR Duel Disk glowing brighter and brighter, gathered countless branching possibilities into his hand.
"Let's go!" Kaiba flicked out the card drawn by Defense Draw.
"I activate my third Spell—Trade-In! I discard the returning Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon to draw two cards!"
Throughout this Duel, Kaiba had already used three copies of Trade-In—discarding three Blue-Eyes.
"This too is using the soul of the White Dragon, continuing its will, the road of light and victory!"
He thrust his hand forward, as though transforming all three discarded Blue-Eyes into a path ahead.
"From the dragon's soul comes a power that shakes the earth—the wrath of a God! Look closely, Miles!"
The phantom of the Alternative White Dragon spread its wings, guiding the two glowing cards into Kaiba's hand.
Kaiba drew one card out—its will intertwined with the White Dragon and a God.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell—Soul Crossing!"
The moment the card activated, the earth shook, and thunder roared—and within ancient Egypt's domain, the second God descended.
"No way!" Kaima cried out. "Seto Kaiba is going to Summon Obelisk directly!?"
Everyone knew a God required three Tributes. And Kaiba's field was empty.
"The three Tributes for a God are already on the field! Miles! You did this exact thing earlier!!"
Soul Crossing activated—the release-light of Tribute Summoning engulfing all three of Miles' monsters.
"This is the effect of Soul Crossing!"
[During the Main Phase: Immediately after this effect resolves, Tribute Summon 1 Divine-Beast monster. You can Tribute monsters your opponent controls as though you control them.]
A perfect mirror of what Miles had done with Ra Sphere Mode—using Kaiba's three Blue-Eyes as Tributes.
Now Kaiba would use Miles' own monsters—Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and even The Winged Dragon of Ra—as Tributes.
Kaiba clenched his fist and thrust it forward.
That punch was the summoning call of the Earthbound God.
"I Tribute your Dark Magician, your Dark Magician Girl, and your God Card, The Winged Dragon of Ra, to awaken the slumbering Obelisk within this land of destiny!!"
Not just the Dark Magicians—Kaiba even used Ra itself as Tribute.
Kaiba had done it; using a God as Tribute… to Summon another God.
"At its coming, scorching winds shall strip the earth bare, life reduced to ash! When light and darkness converge, the ritual of the obelisk begins! Descend—Obelisk the Tormentor!!"
