Today is what you would call an exciting day. It has been fun and eventful so far. We received our ship yesterday, and Usopp officially joined us today. We were waving goodbye to everyone in Syrup Village just a few minutes ago, and now we're filling our cups to welcome Usopp to the crew. This is the first time we've done it; we didn't do it for Alvida or for Zoro. I didn't do it well. We did have a celebration the day before, but that's it.

After we had drunk our fill, we began heading to the next island. We started checking pirates who had made a name for themselves to find Nami, since she was currently robbing them. I decided to recruit Sanji last in the East Blue before going to Reverse Mountain.
"So, where to next, Ace?"

"Before going anywhere, we need to do something very important, Usopp. You're a pretty talented drawer, right?"
"That's right, when it comes to painting, I'm in a league of my own. I've been drawing graffiti for thirty years straight."
"Is that so? That would mean you've been drawing graffiti for at least ten years before you were even born. Still, nevermind that right now I want you to draw a pirate flag for us. We now have four people in our crew, and we have a ship, so it's about time we get ourselves a mark to identify us from other pirates. Well, Usopp, let's see what you have in mind Ok."

Usopp starts drawing. I'm curious to see if he'll pull the same stunt in the anime.

Usopp said after holding up a flag. Most impressive not only did Usopp not pull the stunt of drawing a flag for himself but he drew this one pretty close to the identical to the original spade pirates jolly roger the only difference is there's no fire on top of the hat which makes sense because without the powers of the Mera Mera no Mi(Flame-Flame Fruit) and instead of crossbones behind the skull there's two knives just like the red haired pirates jolly roger to be honest Usopp did better with the Pirate flag than i thought was even possible.
"Wow, Usopp, it seems you do have the power to make lies the truth because, although it's a lie, I believe just a little bit that you've been drawing for thirty years."
"Yeah, Ace is not lying, Usopp. You did a great job on the flag. Hey Zoro, wake up and see our new pirate flag."
" Snore, Snore "
"Hey Zoro, wake up and check this out."
"Yawn. Huh, what is it?"
"Look, it's our new pirate flag, which Usopp drew. What do you think?"
"Not bad, Usopp, it looks like you weren't lying back in Syrup Village. You have a talent for drawing, after all, I'm impressed."

Yeah, when I first saw Usopp, I couldn't believe it, man, I was impressed with his skills.
