Of Odin's three time manifestations, Hades had the worst luck, as he faced the Elderly Odin, the most experienced, strong, and insanely wise. However, the Lord of the Underworld was not afraid of anything. He used the Helm of Darkness and disappeared into the air.
Odin looked around with a cold gaze. Runes glowed around him as a wave of energy spread for several kilometers like a bubble of kinetic energy. However, there was no sign of Hades, neither scent, aura, nor even the movement of the wind. It was as if Hades was truly in a separate dimension.
Suddenly, Odin's aged face moved to the side. A dark Bident covered in black smoke passed a few centimeters from the Norse God King's face. Hades reappeared. He walked on the air as if he were on land, circling around Odin like a wolf waiting for the right moment to attack its prey.
Odin couldn't help but frown. Hades was truly complicated. The Helm of Darkness was generally a great divine artifact, capable of hiding the body in a separate space. It was as if Hades was in the fourth dimension while Odin was in the third dimension.
The only reason Odin managed to dodge Hades's attack was his great battle experience, which allowed him to predict where Hades would strike. Honestly, Odin preferred to face Zeus than Hades. The Greek Lord of the Underworld was a worthy opponent, reminding the Norse God King of Uranus, who could blend into the very concept of the Sky.
"You look like Uranus, the same fighting style, although your grandfather was more direct in his actions." Odin commented with a calm tone, his single eye staring at Hades with an analytical look. His right eye was empty; the eye socket showed only a terrifying void.
Hades said nothing. He knew that Odin was analyzing the powers of the Helm of Darkness. The God King just wanted to buy time, something the King of the Underworld would never allow. With a quick movement, Hades's armor made a sound of colliding metal, and the Lord of the Underworld himself attacked.
Each attack carried the weight of the underworld. Hades's Bident tore through space itself with simply brutal violence. The aura of the dead made Odin's body stiffen while his reflexes became even slower.
Despite this, Odin showed no weakness. Runes orbited around him, each rune launching a ray of purple energy, shooting at Hades from all possible directions. Hades proved worthy of the title of Lord of the Underworld; the god seemed to have eyes in all angles, dodging Odin's attacks while attacking fiercely.
Gungnir in Odin's hand looked more worn from countless battles, but it seemed sharper and deadlier than ever. Under Odin's control, the spear advanced every time towards Hades's heart, ready to impale the God of the Dead.
Nico, Bianca, and Hazel watched the fight with an apprehensive look. Their hearts seemed to explode with so much anxiety they were feeling. It was the first time they saw their once all-powerful father now show himself to be a fierce and murderous warrior.
"This boy is good. If he were a true God King, he would give Odin even more trouble." Chaos couldn't help but speak with an admiring tone. Hades reminded him a lot of himself, especially when it came to work; both were workaholics and could ignore their own desires to fulfill their responsibilities.
Godwyn rolled his eyes. The man never spoke such words to his own son, but he was speaking them to his great-grandson. However, Hades was truly powerful; of all the Big Three, he had the greatest battle experience. The God of the Dead who terrorized the Titans during the Titanomachy returned in his highest glory and power.
Looking at Percy, Godwyn saw that the boy was only paying attention to the fight between Poseidon and the younger Odin. The boy seemed mesmerized by the fight. Something Godwyn could understand; even despising Odin, he felt pure admiration for the Norse God King's power. Percy felt a similar feeling when seeing Poseidon for the first time.
"Godwyn, will I really have such power?" Turning to look at Godwyn, Percy asked with his large sea-green eyes. There was a naivety and innocence in his gaze that made Godwyn's lips curl into a satisfied smile.
"You will be my God of the Seas, of course you will be powerful, even more so than Poseidon." Godwyn said with a smile. Seeing Percy's ambition for power grow was something he appreciated. Only when you have power can you protect those you love.
As for whether there was a possibility of power corrupting Percy, such a thing never crossed Godwyn's mind. He could believe that even Thalia could be corrupted before Percy. As long as the boy was with his mother and surrounded by family, he would still be the old Percy.
"Godwyn, I will defend my mother and protect what we love." Percy clenched his young fist and spoke with a determined tone. There was an unwavering flame of innocence and determination burning in his gaze.
Godwyn smiled and ruffled the boy's black hair. This was the Percy who could sustain the heavens with his innocence and unwavering determination. "I know you will." He said before returning to focus on the fight. The more he understood Odin, the easier the fight between them would be.
The Master Bolt hit Young Odin squarely. The Norse God King's flesh was torn and burned by the power of the lightning. However, Gungnir pierced Zeus's chest, impaling him alive. A large amount of golden blood escaped from the Greek God King's mouth.
Although Young Odin was weaker than Middle-Aged Odin and Elderly Odin, he had something that the other two Odins did not have. He had the impulsiveness and aggressiveness that every young person had, especially a young God King. He didn't mind exchanging blows in return for seriously injuring the Greek God King.
Zeus was furious. Not only was he fighting the weakest Odin, but he was also being beaten like a woman before an abusive husband. The humiliation and anger made Zeus's body glow with a blinding brilliance as a lightning bolt of unimaginable proportions was gathering strength.
"ODINNNNNNNNN!!!" Zeus's furious roar sounded before the lightning was unleashed upon the world. It was a flash that made a nuclear bomb look like a firework at the end of the year, a beautiful but short and weak flash. The sound of the lightning was so great that it damaged the fabric of reality itself; large cracks in space appeared in the sky.
Even in the material world, a blinding light appeared above New York. The sound of the thunder broke all the city's windows and made pieces of glass rain down on people.
Young Odin tried to resist the attack using the runes as a shield, but the shield lasted only a second before being melted by the insane heat of the lightning. Young Odin was hit squarely by Zeus's lightning, sending him flying backward while half of his body was simply turned into ashes floating in the wind.
"Grandson of Uranus, you are truly powerful!!!" Young Odin spoke with an excited tone, and despite the extremely serious injuries, he still seemed alive. His organs could be seen pulsating in his body, creating a simply grotesque and terrifying scene.
"Let's fight to the death!!!" Like a battle-addicted madman, he advanced with half of his body still intact. Gungnir roared again, broke space, and hit Zeus's heart squarely, making the God King spit out a large amount of blood.
Zeus's regeneration healed him instantly, but his wounded pride could not be healed. Even being a God King, he was losing to an old man who had split into three! This was the purest humiliation for him, especially knowing that other God Kings and Queens were watching the battlefield.
"My younger self is really impulsive; I simply wouldn't approach Zeus from the beginning." Middle-Aged Odin, who was fighting Poseidon, spoke with a cold tone as he tore apart a wave tens of kilometers long with his bare hands.
Poseidon swung his Trident and advanced with ferocity. As a Greek god, he didn't care about his own injuries and fought a brutal and insane fight for any other pantheon. Poseidon used an exchange of injuries to cause great damage to the opponent while he himself regenerated quickly.
"Annoying Greek gods, but do you think I would enter battle knowing about your absurd regeneration?" Odin spoke with a cold tone as he took a flask containing a strange liquid from his clothes. He bathed Gungnir's blade with the liquid and pointed it at Poseidon.
Poseidon felt a great danger approaching and retreated as he looked at Gungnir stained with a turquoise liquid.
"What in the name of Chaos is that?" Poseidon murmured with a solemn expression.
