c111: Vegeta Puts Down His Dignity! Decides to Integrate
"Aaaahhh!!"
Just when everyone thought the battle had calmed, a horrifying surge of energy split the sky. Out of the smoking crater, Zamasu rose again, body twisting unnaturally. The divine halo that had once marked him as a god shattered he was no longer purely divine. Now he was something unstable, the unnatural fusion of god and mortal.
His left arm ballooned grotesquely, veins bulging, while half his face swelled like a monstrous toad. This was the cost of merging Zamasu's immortal essence with Goku Black's mortal body. Though immortality itself was compromised, his sheer power grew even more terrifying.
"You filthy mortals! To force me into such a state… you will all perish!!" Zamasu bellowed. His aura exploded, and countless crimson blades of divine judgment rained from the sky, shredding everything indiscriminately.
"Not good!" Kaioshin cried.
Luya and the others barely managed to evade, but the Earth itself was not spared. Mountains split apart. Oceans heaved into tsunamis. Magma burst through the surface as the planet convulsed under Zamasu's wrath.
"We can't let him destroy everything!!" Trunks shouted, heart torn at the sight of his future's final hope collapsing. With a scream, he threw himself at Zamasu at full power.
Luya clenched his teeth, glanced at Goku and Vegeta, and barked: "Hurry and fuse already!"
He swallowed a Senzu Bean, reignited his energy, and charged. Scarlet godly flames wrapped around him as he stacked Super Saiyan God with the Kaio-ken x20, forcing his body past its limits.
Boom!
Trunks struck first, slamming his fist into Zamasu's chest only for the fusion god to stand unfazed, as though struck by a child. Zamasu smirked, vanished, and reappeared before Trunks.
"Ughhh!!" Trunks gasped as Zamasu's fist drove into his stomach. His body bent, his eyes wide with shock.
"Hahaha! Trunks, facing divine wrath, you were disqualified long ago!" Zamasu mocked. He seized Trunks by the face with his monstrous hand, spun several times, and hurled him like a ragdoll.
Boom! The boy's body cratered the ground. Blood spurted from his lips, his aura flickering weakly. Even at full strength, he was nothing before Zamasu.
Zamasu turned and Luya's fist met his jaw.
"Impossible time manipulation? A mortal shouldn't!" Zamasu snarled. His aura erupted, the pressure alone flinging Luya back through the sky.
But Luya wasn't finished. His arms blurred, hurling energy blasts in rapid succession the same "Final Strategy" tactic Vegeta once used against Cell. Explosions swallowed Zamasu in smoke and flame.
Luya hovered, panting. "That won't be enough…"
Sure enough, divine light shredded the smoke. Zamasu strode out, unscathed, eyes cold. "I'll erase you first." He blurred forward, his speed overwhelming.
Luya pushed himself harder, barely keeping pace with Kaio-ken burning his body alive. Even so, Zamasu pressed him back blow after blow.
Bang! Boom!
At last, Luya landed a desperate punch across Zamasu's face. For a heartbeat, it seemed effective until Zamasu's warped arm coiled around him, squeezing like a vice.
"Don't overstep your station, mortal!!" Zamasu roared, flooding Luya's body with destructive ki.
"Urghhh!!" Luya screamed as the energy seared through him. But with stubborn defiance, he thrust one palm forward, unleashing a burst of ki that forced Zamasu to release him.
Teleporting instantly, Luya appeared above, slammed his heel into Zamasu's head, and cupped his hands to his waist.
"Kame… hame… haaa!!!"
The azure wave engulfed Zamasu in another massive explosion. The battlefield trembled, smoke flooding the sky.
Luya floated heavily, chest heaving. "It still… won't kill him…"

Meanwhile, on the ground, Supreme Kai pulled the Potara Earrings from his ears and thrust them forward. "Goku, Vegeta! You must fuse now!"
Goku grabbed one, eyes determined, and extended the other toward Vegeta. "C'mon, Vegeta!"
The prince scowled. "Tch! You think I'd fuse with you? Impossible!"
"Why now, Vegeta?! We've done it before, it worked against Buu!" Goku snapped.
"Idiot! Don't remind me of that humiliation!" Vegeta barked. Since mastering Super Saiyan Blue, he had sworn never to rely on fusion, never to lower himself to Kakarot's level. Yet here he stood, cornered again.
Above, Luya's scream tore the sky as Zamasu pummeled him relentlessly. Energy blasts ripped through his body, detonating in brutal succession.
Everyone's faces hardened.
"Hurry!" Gowasu urged. "If we fail to stop Zamasu, the Earth—and all life—will be erased!" His voice trembled; even he had never imagined his pupil would plunge the cosmos into such ruin.
Goku's eyes burned with desperation. "Vegeta! Think about it! In Trunks' future, Zamasu killed Chi-Chi… and Goten. He killed Bulma too! Are you going to let him keep doing this?!"
That name Bulma stabbed deeper than any blade.
Vegeta froze, trembling. His pride screamed in protest, but his heart clenched. He could not allow Bulma, or Trunks, or anyone else, to suffer this fate.
He growled low, fists shaking. "…Tch! Fine, Kakarot! But this is the last time!!"
"Good enough!" Goku grinned grimly.
With that, Vegeta snatched the earring and, scowling, hooked it onto his ear.
