Kitazawa stood quietly as a torrent of information surged into his mind.

In an instant, he grasped the power of the Rinnegan and the dōjutsu it granted him:

Shinra Tensei, Banshō Ten'in, Planetary Devastation, Chakra Absorption, Soul Absorption Technique, Rinne Rebirth, and more.

At the same time, he vaguely sensed the location of the Gedo statue.

Kitazawa felt that if he used the Summoning Technique, he could call it forth at any time.

The only regret was that these Rinnegan eyes didn't possess a unique, exclusive dōjutsu of their own.

Madara's Rinnegan had Limbo: Border Jail, while Sasuke's Rinnegan possessed Amenotejikara.

Kitazawa guessed it worked similarly to Mangekyō Sharingan abilities—unique techniques that could be obtained through the mission system.

It seemed likely that the Edo Tensei of Uchiha Madara would trigger a mission related to Limbo: Border Jail.

But that was only his speculation.

He would know for sure once he obtained it.

Kitazawa raised his hand and looked at a tree in the distance.

Banshō Tenshin.

With a casual gesture, the tree was torn from the ground and dragged toward him, floating in midair.

Shinra Tensei.

An invisible repulsive force blasted outward, and the tree was flung away.

Kitazawa nodded slightly.

The Rinnegan's abilities were indeed impressive.

Most importantly, they were incredibly versatile, covering nearly every field: offense, defense, support, interrogation, even resurrection.

In the blink of an eye, Kitazawa returned to the Desert of Evil.

The Gedo statue had vanished, leaving behind only a cratered, ruined stretch of sand.

With a simple effort, Kitazawa restored the terrain, smoothing the desert back to its original state, then teleported straight to Konoha.

His goal was straightforward: delay anyone from discovering the truth.

He only needed to stall for two days.

Fortunately, Black Zetsu and White Zetsu hadn't appeared during the battle, so his plan remained unaffected.

Kitazawa sat down in the Hokage's chair, lost in thought.

Because of him, the Akatsuki had already lost several members—Itachi, Kakuzu, Sasori, Hidan, and others.

Zetsu—White Zetsu and Black Zetsu together—would only show himself at the very last moment.

As for Obito, his movements were the hardest to predict.

Excluding those four, that left six remaining Akatsuki members.

Kitazawa planned to choose six ninja from the Genius Class graduates to deal with them.

This would be a perfect chance for them to make a name for themselves.

His three students—Sasuke, Naruto, and Hinata—would be going with him.

The other three candidates couldn't be weak.

After thinking it over, he settled on Kurama Yakumo, Hyuga Neji, and Aburame Shino.

Of course, if they wanted fame, they needed an audience.

And since the battlefield this time would be outside the Forest of Death, Konoha's ninja couldn't just pretend nothing was happening.

He decided to bring several Jonin along and, according to conventional thinking, arrange the main defenses inside the Forest of Death.

With that in mind, Kitazawa pulled out a blank scroll.

He picked up his brush and wrote down the names of several Jonin.

"Haru."

When he finished, Kitazawa called out.

"Hokage-sama."

Haru stepped into the office.

"Notify all the Jonin on this list. Tell them to be here for a meeting in half an hour."

Kitazawa handed her the scroll.

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

Haru accepted the scroll and turned to leave.

Kitazawa tapped his fingers lightly on the desk, and a thought struck him: a way to pinpoint Obito's location—Namikaze Minato.

Minato had left a Flying Thunder God mark on Obito back then.

And a Flying Thunder God mark was permanent.

Using Minato, Kitazawa could accurately determine where Uchiha Obito was.

Conveniently, a fragment of Minato's consciousness was currently inside Uzumaki Naruto's seal space.

At the time, Kitazawa had only wanted to help Naruto, never expecting this extra advantage.

Half an hour passed quickly.

A knock sounded at the door.

Jiraiya, Uchiha Fugaku, Hyuga Hiashi, Nara Shikaku, Kakashi, and Shizune entered the office.

"I just received some intelligence," Kitazawa said bluntly. "The Akatsuki Organization will arrive at Konoha the day after tomorrow."

Everyone's expression changed.

None of them knew that Kitazawa had already defeated Nagato.

In their minds, Akatsuki was the organization that had been steadily crushing powerful foes like the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Stone.

Hearing that the Akatsuki would attack Konoha the day after tomorrow, none of them could stay calm.

"Is Nagato leading them?"

Jiraiya drew in a deep breath before asking.

"It's him," Kitazawa replied with a nod.

"Then I'll go meet him."

Jiraiya spoke without hesitation.

"At this point, I'm afraid words alone won't work." Kitazawa paused, then continued, "My plan is to lead a team and intercept them before they reach the Forest of Death."

"But…"

Jiraiya started to speak, then fell silent.

He was worried about Akatsuki's strength. Even Kumogakure and Iwagakure had suffered at their hands. Jinchuriki and even Tailed Beasts had been captured.

"We fight first," Kitazawa said calmly. "If we win, everything becomes negotiable. If we lose, then you step in."

"…All right."

After thinking it over, Jiraiya agreed. Kitazawa's reasoning was sound.

"Your mission is to set up defenses inside the Forest of Death," Kitazawa ordered.

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

Fugaku and the others answered with solemn faces.

Kitazawa didn't explain further. If they went in without knowing the full situation, defeating Akatsuki would leave a deeper impression—and that would help Sasuke and the others build their reputation.

"Go make your preparations," Kitazawa said in a low voice. "Whether we live or die will be decided in the battle the day after tomorrow."

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

Fugaku and the others turned and left.

Kitazawa pondered for a moment, then used the Flying Thunder God Technique to appear at the First Training Ground.

"Kitazawa-sensei!"

Hinata spotted him and immediately smiled.

Naruto and Sasuke hurried over as soon as they saw him.

"Be at my office at eight sharp the morning after tomorrow. I have a mission for you."

Kitazawa looked at the three of them as he spoke.

"That's awesome!" Naruto burst out, instantly excited. "I finally get to go on a mission!"

"Hinata, Sasuke, keep training." After the two stepped aside to continue, Kitazawa turned to Naruto. "Naruto, I need to meet with your parents."

He raised his hand and placed it against Naruto's forehead.

With a single thought, Kitazawa's consciousness sank into the sealing space.

Once he steadied himself, he saw Kurama and Kushina in the middle of a Yu-Gi-Oh! duel.

"Fourth Hokage-sama."

Kitazawa turned to Minato, who was watching from the side.

"Kitazawa." Minato's eyes narrowed slightly in curiosity. "What's the matter?"

"Do you still remember that mysterious masked man?" Kitazawa asked.

"Of course I remember." Minato's expression hardened. He frowned. "Has he appeared again?"

"He's joined Akatsuki."

Kitazawa briefly explained the current situation.

"I see." Minato's gaze sharpened. "What do you need me to do?"

"Back then, did you leave a Flying Thunder God mark on him?" Kitazawa finally stated his purpose. "If you did, can you sense where he is?"

"I can sense it, but this isn't my real body. My range is limited," Minato replied. "If he's close enough, I can pinpoint his location."

"That's enough." Kitazawa nodded. "He'll come to Konoha the day after tomorrow. I'll be counting on you to lock onto his position then."

"No problem."

Minato agreed without hesitation.

Leaving aside that the masked man had caused his and Kushina's deaths, the fact that Akatsuki was targeting Naruto meant he could never just stand by and watch.

Seeing that there was nothing left to discuss, Kitazawa withdrew from the sealing space.

He instructed Naruto to continue his training, then personally went to find Yakumo, Neji, and Shino.

As he had with Sasuke and the others, he ordered them to report to his office the morning after next.

A knock sounded at the door.

"Come in."

Kitazawa looked up.

"Kitazawa."

Kurenai stepped in quickly, walked straight over, and asked anxiously, "Is the Akatsuki Organization coming?"

"Why do you think that?" Kitazawa asked, patting his thigh.

"I noticed Shizune and the others' movements."

Kurenai settled onto his lap, her body leaning into his chest.

"They'll arrive in Konoha the day after tomorrow." Kitazawa rested his hand on her thigh and said with a smile, "There's nothing to worry about."

"Even if you say that, but…"

Kurenai instinctively grabbed his wrist.

She was very satisfied with her current life. She didn't want anything to change.

Especially Kitazawa—he absolutely could not be harmed.

"I met Nagato today."

After thinking for a moment, Kitazawa told her what had happened. However, he replaced capturing Black Zetsu with capturing the Mysterious Masked Man.

Explaining Black Zetsu was too troublesome.

She already knew about the Mysterious Masked Man.

Kurenai's eyes widened as she listened.

She had thought the Akatsuki Organization was going to attack Konoha, but instead, Konoha was working with Akatsuki to capture the Mysterious Masked Man.

"Well? Do you trust my strength now?" Kitazawa asked, raising his hand to pat her hip.

"I've always believed in you," Kurenai breathed softly, her supple, curvaceous body twisting slightly.

"Are you free right now?"

Kitazawa's gaze fell to her body in his arms.

"Yes," Kurenai replied and immediately let out a soft gasp.

Kitazawa stood and lifted her onto the Hokage's desk.

"Wait!"

Realizing what he intended, Kurenai hurriedly said, "Let's first… mmmph—"

Her words were cut off as he covered her mouth.

Under his kiss, Kurenai's body went weak, all strength leaving her.

After a long while, their lips finally parted.

Kurenai drew in a breath, her lips glistening enticingly.

Knowing she couldn't stop him, she shot Kitazawa a sidelong glance and lifted her long, fair legs.

As expected of a kunoichi—her flexibility was excellent.

But she still had her usual problem.

Two hours later, Kitazawa carried the sleeping Kurenai home.

He laid her gently on the bed, closed the door, and used the Flying Thunder God.

An instant later, he appeared in Konan's room.

As always, she was sitting by the bed.

When she saw him, she quickly stood and walked over. Her expression was as cold as ever, but her heart was far from calm.

"Konan," Kitazawa said with a smile, "have Uchiha Madara and Black Zetsu noticed anything?"

"Everything is normal for now," Konan replied.

"That's good." Kitazawa nodded. "What's your plan for the battle the day after tomorrow?"

"I plan to stay by Nagato's side," Konan answered.

"I thought so too." Kitazawa reached out and gently patted her head. "When the time comes, I'll locate Nagato's real body. You'll need to pretend to lure me away."

"I understand."

Konan grasped his meaning immediately.

If both she and Kitazawa moved far from Nagato—and with Nagato gravely injured—Black Zetsu would never let such a chance slip by.

"Give this to Nagato."

Kitazawa took out a Flying Thunder God kunai and held it out.
