But finding out that he actually said that surprised me. No wonder Allison acted the way she did to me. She thought I didn't deserve her brother, among other things.
"Aven said that? Then what changed?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me. I would rather hear it from his sister first, before confronting him about it.
"I'm not in the position to tell why. Maybe you should ask him yourself," she replied, facing off.
I was pretty disappointed, but I understood the reason why she didn't go ahead.
"I've spilt a lot already, and I feel like I'm going to have it hot with him when he finds out I told you, which he will, because I know you would confront him about it, whether I told you what changed or not.
So I should keep the remaining part to myself because it's just a mere insinuation," she explained, as if she could read the disappointment on my face.
"I understand," I replied calmly.
