Chapter 163 - Jor-El's Will

The sun set, the old tree, the crow.

In the dense forest.

The tilted, crushed weeds grew haphazardly throughout the forest.

"I really don't know how to describe your stupidity, Clark."

Gino sighed, rubbing his temples helplessly.

"My bad." Clark chuckled, then pointed around him: "This is where I passed out. The Spaceship is probably nearby."

"It's obvious."

Gino chuckled softly. There was a depression in the dirt not far away, and it looked as if someone had fallen there, leaving an impression of their face.

His gaze swept across the surroundings, and the young man quickly found the Spaceship that Clark had lost.

A gust of wind blew, and in a mere breath, Gino, now standing before Clark again, had the Spaceship on his shoulder.

"Thud."

The Spaceship slammed heavily onto the grass, and a look of surprise appeared on Clark's face: "I found it! Martha can be saved."

The boy instinctively looked at his friend's expression, but he found Gino's expression strange, not showing any excitement or happiness.

"What happened?" Clark tilted his head in confusion.

"Perhaps, you should ask yourself." Gino slightly turned his body to let Clark see the situation of the Spaceship clearly.

The indentation on top of the Spaceship was empty, the Spaceship key that should have been embedded inside was gone.

Clark's expression changed at a speed visible to the naked eye. The corners of his mouth twitched, and his eyes were filled with disappointment. It wouldn't be surprising if he burst into tears the next second.

"Think carefully," Gino sighed, slightly helpless with Clark's careless personality, and gently patted his friend's shoulder. "Where did you lose it?"

"Where did I lose it?" Clark had a pained expression. "That thing flew out of the Barn, passed through the dense forest, crossed the mine, and finally landed in the Cave."

"Wait a moment." Gino interrupted Clark's thoughts and lightly raised his right leg to activate his super speed.

Faster than lightning, gentler than the wind.

He ran through the farm and fields, over the mountains and forests.

In just a few seconds, Gino had run through all the places, and finally found the Prism-shaped Stone in the Cave.

Bending down, he reached out and grasped the stone tightly.

Gino stared at the stone in his hand, his tone light and cheerful.

"Found you."

"Ready?"

Holding the stone in his hand, Gino slowly walked towards the Spaceship.

Just seconds ago, he had returned to the dense forest, carrying the key.

And after discussing it with Clark, they had unanimously decided to restart the Spaceship.

Their idea was simple: since the flowing light within the Spaceship contained peculiar abilities, perhaps restarting it could change everything.

"Crack~"

As Gino placed the Prism-shaped Stone into the Spaceship, it seemed to regain its power supply. The Spaceship emitted a dazzling white light. The next second, the originally still Spaceship shot into the sky, and the bright white light spread from the Spaceship, engulfing the entire town.

"My eyes!" Clark wailed, covering his eyes. Gino snapped his fingers, and a light screen rose in front of him. Then, he watched Clark's misery with great interest.

Fortunately,

that extremely bright, blinding light didn't last too long. When the light extinguished, Clark, with slightly red eyes, put down his arms that had been shielding him.

"Does it work?"

Gino glanced at Clark. The boy hesitated, raising his hands, his fingers slightly bent into fists.

"Crack crack crack~" The powerful force surging from his arms made Clark widen his eyes. His strength was back! "Great!" Clark looked at his arms in disbelief.

"Beep~"

The phone's ringtone interrupted Clark's thoughts. When he answered the call and heard the message on the other end, the already happy smile on his face became even brighter.

After hanging up the phone, Clark said excitedly, "Jonathan called, he told me Martha has recovered."

"Go see your mother," Gino said with a smile, congratulating Clark.

Clark nodded in agreement, then glanced at the Spaceship: "Well, I'll leave the Spaceship with you for now!"

Before he could finish speaking, a flash of movement, and Clark had already left the dense forest.

"So, where do I put this thing?"

Gino pursed his lips, sizing up the teardrop-shaped flying craft. After a moment of thought, he considered the underground warehouse of his Castle.

That place was originally used as a dungeon, and Luthor's ancestors had naturally participated in the Black Blood Trade. It had also been used to imprison some disobedient niggers.

Walking towards the spaceship, Gino grabbed onto the spaceship's cabin, his gaze fixed on the direction of his family's castle.

It was late at night at the Luthor Castle.

As always, where Lionel was, Lex wouldn't be.

Lex was still working overtime in the factory laboratory.

Meanwhile, Lionel was standing in the castle, interviewing new security guards. After the Byron attack, the old man considered his life to be more important, and he had recently hired some soldiers who had retired from special forces at a high salary.

Without letting anyone discover him, Gino carried the spaceship into the bunker, placing the spaceship from his shoulder into a dungeon room.

"Boom~"

The heavy Spaceship landed in the mud with a dull thud.

"Buzz~"

It seemed to activate some sort of switch, or perhaps the Spaceship's internal program was running.

The originally quiet Spaceship slowly lit up with a fiery orange glow.

This sudden change naturally attracted Gino's attention.

The young man crossed his arms, his expression calm, and gazed at the Spaceship emitting a dazzling light.

Along with the orange light flashing and enveloping the entire Spaceship, an orange light sphere, like a small sun, slowly floated in the air. Then, a calm voice, with a hint of lowness, came from within the light sphere.

"Gino Luthor, child of wonder, your potential is boundless."

That calm voice, filled with a strange, reassuring quality, said, "You possess Kryptonian blood; your achievements will be limitless."

"What are you?"

Despite a slight guess in his mind, Gino still chose to demand an answer.

The orb of light flickered as it spoke, "I am Jor-El, and also the true father of your friend, Clark Kent."

"So, you're alive in the Spaceship now?" Gino shrugged, beginning to mock, "What do you intend to say?"

"I am not alive in the Spaceship; I am merely his memories, his Will."

"My mission is to fulfill his promise and guide you forward in your life."

Listening to these somewhat seductive words, Gino frowned, staring at the Spaceship with a strange tone, "But shouldn't you be looking for Clark? He is your son."

Could it be that this artificial intelligence found Clark too weak and chose him instead?

If that were the case, it would only prove that Jor-El's consciousness, at its core, only believed in the theory of strength above all else.

It didn't keep him waiting long; the voice responded without hesitation to Gino: "Clark Kent is too cowardly. Based on my observation, he is indecisive, sentimental, and his pitiful head is filled only with narrow-minded love and affection."

"His adoptive father has taught him to be a weak coward."

The voice grew increasingly excited, its pace quickening: "This coward, this weakling, he does not deserve the identity of a Kryptonian!"
