* Happy Halloween to everyone maybe it come as late but it was also my birthday , but I'm going to drop a few more than normal so please help me share to your friends and family who may care to read *

Ash found himself in front of the Marksman Hall. The decision to pick a Division did not take him long, and as painful as it was supposed to be, he had to choose one from the seven, which happened to be Marksman for straightforward reasons.

The melee Division was definitely not an option since he was extremely weak and would most likely end up dead if he tried it. The mage problem was obvious; since he very well couldn't use magic, he couldn't join the heavy artillery because there was a need for more power and muscle, the support and engineers were mainly utility workers, and didn't match the plans he had in mind.

With no other option, the only thing he had left was the Marksman, who were somewhat the most flexible division around being charged with the stealth aspect, he didn't really know much about them but it was obvious that the scouts usually came from this division and that was the role he needed if he wanted his plan to work and survive while doing so.

" I need a break, " Ash thought, breathing out a low sigh, moving his sore body into the large hall, which surprisingly didn't have that much of a population inside.

He thought about it a little, "maybe it was because I arrived early," but it was only as time passed that they didn't have much when it came to numbers. Doing a mental headcount, he noticed there were no more than two hundred in the hall, sparsely scattered around in small clusters.

" everyone in this hall except the kid head to the drill field " a voice called out drawing his attention as well as that of the others as all eyes were suddenly on him, most accessing, while the others were not so interested in him just wanting to know who the person was talking about which was so much different from the batch that he came from.

Soon, Ash was the only person left in the hall; the hall was very much similar to the ones he was training in while he was still in the first batch, with metal seats arranged in the farthest left-hand side of the room where the sparring platform was located.

The right-hand side where he was sitting had the weapon racks stacked with both close and ranged weapons, but the ranged weapons took most of the space, having the bows and quivers of arrows properly arranged.

Despite these details the hall carried a very gloomy air which was something that he noticed the moment he got into the hall but did not pay it much attention since they were people present but now that it was empty it became very much pronounce and being very much eerie making him uncomfortable, the wall had marks and scars that looked much like claw marks of a very a strong monster only a few looked like there were done by a human due to how clean and precise it looked.

He did not really come to his attention as much as before but as it was now it was more pronounced and eerie than before, he had seen marks before but these seemed very much enticing, he had the urge to touch and observe the nature of the marks mostly the ones that looked like they were made by monsters, at the same time he did not want to move.

It was as if his body did not want to move, and at the same time, he longed to go. After a long struggle, he closed his eyes, trying to calm his mind; he didn't really notice at first. Still, now he was very much sure that he was under a hex of some kind obviously it was horribly messing with his mind in ways he couldnt even understand ' this is bad ' he thought trying to put his mind in order but it was all to no avail, if anyone wanted him dead it would be obvious that they would do it when he was alone and obviously he was defenseless against it.

The effect continued for a while before suddenly coming to a stop, leaving a heavy oppressive feeling on both his body and his mind, and a ringing sound that lingered. He wanted to speak, but found no voice to do so. Then he moved his fingers, and they responded, making him breathe a sigh of relief, but he couldn't relax, as if he somehow could not shake off. More like a premonition that something bad was very wrong gnawing him on the inside.

Opening his eyes the scene before him made his breath seize, he was currently in the same hall however it was obvious that something was off and then it didn't take him a long time to find out what was wrong, it had somehow become new but the same time didn't seem like it was totally different with those scars and besides the cut marks had disappeared replaced by horizontal and vertical lines that were looked like they were drawn by machine with precision but were glowing joining with other lines at different point.

The racks were missing even the training platforms had disappeared leaving what looked like tiled floor but now riddled with marks, his attention soon turned to the middle of the hall where two figures now stood one was a monster who looked like a breed between a human and a wolf looking close to eight feet in height, the creature was almost entirely black even the mana that surged were dark and crackled around him like lightning giving off a lethal but dangerous vibe that gave him goosebumps.

The other was a human and looked very carefree, like he didn't really mind anything happening at that time. He had an average build when it came to his body, but still not enough to be close to the wolf-human; he was resting on a long pole that was stuck to the ground, which seemed to be his weapon, having a calm smile with one hand on his dark hair, brushing his hair.

Seeing the young man gave him the feeling of someone he knew, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember who the person was. The two seemed to be in a heated argument. The wolf seemed angry, trying to relay it with words, but the other didn't seem to care, making it angrier.

When tried to listen he could not make out anything from what they were saying, when he tried to move his body, it felt odd like his body was not his anymore, being very much heavier than normal making him feel even way worse than when he first felt the effect of the hex hit him, he tried to talk but his voice was no where to be found.

He struggled under the immense pressure trying to lift his body which buckled under the pressure refusing to respond, even his thoughts now seemed muddled under the pressure but neither the less he still tried to move with all any form of strength he could mutter " hey ***** " a voice called out to him before he raised his head looking at the figure which was the young man who was now standing in front of him with the wolf-human, he slowly got down to his level and whispered to his ears in an ominous tone that sent shivers down his spine.

"Observe and make sure not to blink. "
