"Black Dragon!" Loki shouted again, his voice cracking. "Blue Pegasus was also destroyed by a Black Dragon, and that Dragon is still here, in Fiore!"
"Is this Fairy Tail?! Please… please help me!" a young woman, her green hair matted with dust and her fine clothes torn, appeared at the broken door. Her face was filled with anxiety and grief. Its body was enormous, a mountain of black scales and muscle. Its wings, when spread, covered the sky and blotted out the sun. Its scales, darker than midnight, reflected a cold, merciless glint. It gave off an endless, primordial sense of oppression, a pressure that made it hard to breathe. Its dragon eyes, glowing with ancient power, revealed nothing but majesty and a desire for destruction. Its appearance plunged the entire town of Magnolia into absolute panic.
"Ah! A dragon! A DRAGON!!!"
"Run for your lives! Help!!!"
"Gulp! It really is a black dragon…" the members of Fairy Tail were equally astonished, their faces pale.
"A dragon! Natsu, it's a dragon!" Happy shrieked, his voice filled with a mix of terror and awe.
Gray stiffly turned his neck to look at Natsu, his usual bravado gone. "Hey, Natsu… this one must be looking for you, right? It has to be!" Even Gray, reckless as he was, knew despair when he saw it. This was an enemy they could not defeat.
"…" Natsu silently gazed at the Black Dragon. Hearing about a dragon had initially brought him a surge of joy—a chance to find Igneel. However, after seeing this dragon… Natsu felt his entire body trembling, not with excitement, but with a primal, instinctual fear. A fire, hot and defensive, began to well up inside him. This dragon… is an enemy!
The Black Dragon's actions proved it. It circled in the air, its massive head turning as its draconic mouth opened wide. Dark energy, a black aura of pure annihilation, gathered like a vortex.
"It's a Roar! Everyone, be careful! That's a Dragon's Roar!" Natsu, who understood dragons, shouted anxiously.
As soon as he finished speaking, Master Makarov had already raised his hand, his body glowing. "Fairy Law!" A golden magic circle instantly unfolded, the guild's most powerful defensive magic.
The others weren't idle; they each cast their own spells.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!"
"Lightning Dragon's Roar!"
"Ice-Make: Shield!"
"Take Over: Satan Soul!"
"Heaven's Wheel: Pentagram Sword!"
The members of Fairy Tail stood together, unleashing a torrent of magic, attempting to withstand the Black Dragon's attack. Flames, ice, and lightning intertwined, forming a brilliant but fragile defense.
At the same time, the darkness in the Black Dragon's mouth finished condensing, and a dark breath capable of devouring light itself roared out.
