STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC64: Bomb Shell
Chapter 64: Bomb Shell
The Rook subordinate let out a screech that almost sounded like it was laughing before it immediately countered with a bite of its own and aimed for the ant's leg! The sound of its mandible tearing through the leg like a human tearing into an apple echoed through the region, and the regular ant screeched loudly in pain as it quickly retreated! The rook subordinate raced after it and grabbed its wing before tearing it to pieces!
This scene was repeating all around the region! The soldier ants were trying their hardest to fight back against the rook subordinates, but they were incapable of putting up a good fight since the rook subordinates all had very high durability! Even the wolves on the ground were capable of tanking the hits and bites from the ants, and they were using their claws and teeth to tear into the ants that attacked them easily!
One of the rook subordinates that was only a Pawn Rank II was tag-teamed by three of the soldiers, and although it tried its best to fight them all off, it was unable to kill them before they tore its wings away and killed it!
The soldiers felt happiness in their hearts when they saw the rook subordinate dissipating into purple dus! They had finally succeeded in killing one of them! But their happiness didn't last long and they were shocked when the dust suddenly gathered back up and formed back into the shape of the rook subordinate!
——
You have consumed 60MP to resurrect [1] Pawn Rank II subordinate.
——
SCREEEECHHH!!
A loud screech echoed through the area as the rook subordinate came back to life and all the ants turned and ran in fear! They couldn't fight against something like this! This was the work of a devil!
Jason watched all of this happening from on top of the Rook's back. There were twenty soldier ants out there fighting against ten rook subordinates, and at the end of it, only one of the rook subordinates had been killed by a tag team from the soldier ants. The other soldier ants were easily dealt with by the rook subordinates, and it wasn't long before there were no more enemies in the region.

Jason put his hand out to the dead ants and spread his mana over them.
"Resurrect."
Doon!
His mana surged through the area and dragged the ants' souls out from their bodies with loud shrieks!

Jason looked away from the system tab immediately after and he spoke to the ants that he had just resurrected and ordered them to report on what the ants inside the tunnel were doing. Jason was able to gain a lot of knowledge about his enemies by asking his resurrected subordinates to explain things to him, so he made it a habit every time he resurrected a new enemy to first find out what their comrades were up to.
The ant told Jason all about the defenses that the Queen had been organizing inside the tunnel. They told Jason about the broken tunnels and also about the ten dangerous ants that were the Queen's personal guards joining the attack.
Jason hummed as he thought over everything that he heard, and he decided a few seconds later that it didn't matter. The situation was dangerous, but it wasn't so bad that he wouldn't be able to handle it.
Besides, Jason had almost two hundred subordinates, and twenty-two of them were buffed with the defensive abilities of a Rook. The ants inside the tunnel wouldn't stand a chance against his attack.
Jason sent a message to the rook subordinates and ordered them to begin breaking down the barrier blocking the tunnel entrance before Jason sent a mental command to the rook that was in charge of the subordinates fighting on the southern part of the hill and he asked it how they were handling the situation over there.
The Rook reported that they had two casualties and they were in the process of breaking down the barrier as well. Jason nodded along. He had already gotten the notification for the deaths, so he just used his mana to revive the casualties that died in that fight, but he was surprised when the revived subordinates appeared beside him rather than beside the rook.
'So the dead subordinates always revive close to me?'
Jason filed away that piece of information and decided that it wasn't a problem. The rook on the southern side was short two allies, but it wouldn't make a big difference in the long run. Jason's plan was for them to fight their way through their respective tunnels and then meet up somewhere in the middle of the colony, so the rook just had to hold on until then.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
The rook subordinates were using their sturdier bodies to slowly break through the barrier leading into the tunnel, and Jason decided that it was going far too slowly. At this rate, it would take at least two minutes for them to break it down.
Jason stood from the back of the rook that he was riding and he summoned another ant to his side. A scout appeared and Jason jumped over onto its back before he ordered the other ants to step back and told the rook to use its skill!
The Rok screeched before its body glowed with a purple light!
[Linear Charge] has been activated!
TWOOM!!
A sound like a Gatling Gun echoed through the region as the Rook shot forward with the force of a building-sized bullet! It slammed into the barrier with all its force and tore through it before disappearing into the dark tunnel! Jason gained a nasty grin on his face once he saw the sheer destruction from that one move and he stretched his hand forward with a shout that echoed through the region!
"Attack!"
The full force of Jason's army ran forward into the darkness of the tunnels and Jason sent a message to the scout he was riding, telling it to follow after them. But before Jason could go far, he heard the sounds of explosions echoing through the entire region and he furrowed his brow!
Inside the tunnel, the large Rook was barreling forward with no hesitation! There were no ants there to stop its charge, so it was moving through all the blockades that had been put in the way to create a straight path toward the middle of the colony! The tunnel was just large enough for the Rook to fit twice, so the other ants were following behind it at a hurried pace.
But all of a sudden, the Rook stepped in something that broke under its feet, and before it could even know what had happened, a massive explosion echoed from under its feet and threw it into the air! The Rook slammed into the roof of the tunnel before it let out a screech as it came back down again! There was a sizzling sensation from its silvery exoskeleton and it noticed that a strange green-like substance had coated its body and was releasing smoke as it tried to corrode through it. This was the goo from the mutated ant eggs.
In the colony, some of the ant eggs that the Queen produces don't gestate properly and the ants end up dying inside their eggs. Those eggs end up becoming poisonous with methane gas filling them, and they are used as weapons to fight off intruders. The ants all know that the colony uses the eggs for attacks, but the ants Jason spoke to were already outside the tunnel when the other tenants planted the eggs, so they couldn't warn Jason about them.
The other ants were still running forward and the Rook immediately screeched at them and told them to stop! But some of the ants had gone too far already, so they were also thrown about by massive explosions from under their feet!
The Rook quickly sent a message to Jason, telling him what was happening before it took charge and stopped the other members of the Legion from going forward. A few seconds later, Jason sent back a message and asked the Rook if the eggs were capable of getting through its exoskeleton.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC65: Divided Attention
Chapter 65: Divided Attention
Jason sent a message and asked the Rook if the methane explosions could get through its exoskeleton.
The Rook had extremely high durability, so the chances of anything here piercing through its shell were very low. The Rook looked itself over for any sign of injuries and sent back a message that it wasn't hurt by the attack, and Jason told the Rook and all its subordinates to begin moving again. Now, they were tasked with clearing the path and making sure every single egg was broken before the other members of the Legion made it through!
Jason didn't bother to worry about the poisonous methane in the eggs since he knew that it couldn't hurt his Legion. There was no way to poison a creature that was already dead. The poison was more likely to hurt Jason since he was still human and he told the ant he was riding to hang back so that the poison would disperse before he went through.
The Rook screeched back to its subordinates and told them to begin walking on the floor and ceiling!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
As they went, massive explosions echoed through the tunnel as they stepped on various eggs that had been lying in the path, and it was only the fact that they had extremely high defenses that prevented them from dying after the first few explosions. Many of them were being thrown about like ragdolls, but they shrugged off every hit like it didn't matter and kept moving!
A few meters down the path, there was a large trench that had been dug to try and keep the enemies out. There were more eggs at the bottom of the trench, and anyone who fell down the hole would end up being blown to pieces. One of the ants wasn't paying attention and fell into it, causing a massive explosion that took its life, and the other ants began to scale the walls while carrying the wolves across.
Behind them, Jason watched the ants working with a narrowed gaze. He turned to glance at his mana and saw that he only had about three thousand units out of six thousand. Jason had used up a lot of units resurrecting and reviving the monsters, so it would take some time for it all to be replenished. But even with only half his mana, Jason felt like he was more than capable of handling the rest of this battle, so he didn't feel worried.
As they moved forward, they eventually saw a large opening at the end of the tunnel a few meters away from them, and the ants quickly began to speed up their pace to reach it sooner! Once they got out of this tunnel, they would reach a more open space that would allow them to spread their wings and fight more freely!
But before they could get to the open space, a loud symphony of angry screeches echoed through the air before the entire tunnel was suddenly attacked by a furious wave of ants! The ants appeared through various holes in the tunnel! Ants dropped from the ceiling, tore through the walls, and appeared from underground as they assaulted the attacking Legion from every direction!
A massive battle suddenly broke out in the tunnel as the regular ants tried their best to overwhelm the attacking Legion with their intensity. The tunnel was small and the Legion could barely move properly since it was so tight, so when the regular ants entered it with full force, there was nearly no space for the Legion to move or attack from!
More than half of the regular ants went straight towards the Rook and began to bite and scratch it mercilessly! They dogpiled on it and tried their best to kill it first so that they could focus on the others! The Rook screeched and slammed its body into the side of the tunnel as it tried to get all the ants off! Massive tremors traveled through the tunnel as the Rook slammed into the wall over and over again, and Jason clicked his tongue from behind the army as he sent a mental command to the Rook.
The Rook acknowledged the command and stopped its action before it began to move backward. Jason also sent the same mental command to the other pieces, and before long, they were all moving back as one to get away from the entrance.
Once the ants saw this, they all began to rejoice as they thought they were winning. The intruders were retreating, and they would be able to chase them out of the tunnel! The ants all screeched at the intruders, threatening them with their mandibles and skittering around the tunnel dangerously!
'Give them hell.'
Jason suddenly sent a new message to the Rook, and the Rook took that as the signal to carry out its plan!
[Linear Charge] has been activated!
A bright purple light suddenly filled the tunnel, and the ants that had been standing in front of the Rook all stopped at once as they watched its entire body lighting up! For a moment, they all wondered what the hell was about to happen! But before they could even react to the change, a Gatling Gun shot through the tunnel!
TWOOM!
The Rook shot forward with the force of a meteor, and its charge was enough to tear through every single ant there at the same time! More than half of the ants were immediately killed by the Rook's charge as their bodies were torn to shreds just from the force of the charge alone, and the others that weren't killed were either seriously injured or they were thrown back by the immense shockwave that the Rook left in its wake! It was an absolute madhouse!

SCREEECH!!
The Legion all screeched and roared in unison as they followed behind the rampaging Rook and charged deeper into the tunnel! Jason watched what was happening from behind with his eyes narrowed in concentration. Jason thought about resurrecting the various ants that they had killed, but he decided against it. He was already feeling a tiredness creeping into his body due to the numerous messages that he had sent to the Legion consecutively, but he didn't want it to slow him down. If he added more subordinates now, then it would just be counterproductive. Jason simply took in a deep breath and focused his mind once again.
Jason allowed his consciousness to travel towards the other tunnel that they were attacking, and he tried to contact the Rook leading the charge. Jason knew that the regular ants would definitely launch a similar ambush on that side of the hill, so he was wondering if the Rook was capable of dealing with it on its own.
But it turned out that the Rook there was not faring that well against the attacks. The ants had used the same hidden eggs as well as multiple ridges and ambushes to try and push the ants and wolves back, and although the Legion were stronger than the regular ants, the sheer number of ants in the small tunnel prevented the Legion from being able to use their strength to the max.
'Take steps back and use your Linear Charge against them. Create a straight path to the exit and let the Rook subordinates enter first so they can tank the explosions!'
Jason shouted to the Rook in anger once he realized that it was losing! Jason understood that the Rook became smarter than the other subordinates once it gained an upgrade, but he could now tell that it wasn't smart enough to come up with complex attack patterns on its own. At best, it would just tell the subordinates to charge forward and kill anything in their path.
'I'll have to keep an eye on both attacks at the same time. This will take a lot of stamina.'
Jason frowned as this thought passed through his mind.

Chapter 66: Sacrificial Eggs
'I'll have to keep an eye on both attacks at the same time. This will take a lot of stamina.'
Jason frowned as this thought passed through his mind, and he patted the scout that he was riding and told it to head forward to the inner part of the tunnel since the Methane gas had cleared enough to no longer be dangerous. The Rook at the Nothern tunnel entrance sent a message back to Jason and told him that they had gotten through the tunnel, and Jason glanced to one side as he saw a notification pop up on his system.
——
The user has killed [43] Adamantine Ant Workers

The user has killed [3] Adamantine Ant Soldiers

Jason nodded in acceptance and then he just told it to kill everything that moved.
That instruction seemed to be sufficient for the Rook as it began to order the other subordinates around, and Jason cut the link he had with that Rook before turning forward as they passed the tunnel. The area that they appeared in was large and tall enough to fit even the larger Pawn Rank III Wolfs easily. It had been carved out from the earth like a cavern, and the entire area was dimly lit by strange crystals that were embedded into the walls of the cave.
Screech!
Screech!
Roar!!
Bang!
The sound of fighting and screeching echoed through the cavern as Jason's Legion clashed against the many ants that were standing guard at the cavern entrance! Jason looked around with his [Predator's Gaze] to see what was happening. The entire cave was a whirlwind of battle, and Jason watched as his Legion slowly pushed the enemies backward while advancing through their ranks!

The Rook was the most effective fighter because now it had a lot more space to move around, which allowed it to attack multiple ants at the same time and take them out quickly! The Rook's subordinates were also leading the charge since they had stronger bodies and were using their enhanced durability to take most of the impact from the attacks of the regular ants so that the other members of the Legion could focus on just attacking!
——
The user has killed [18] Adamantine Ant Soldiers

——
A loud screech echoed from the side as an ant tried to get to Jason through the Legion, but before it could even get close, a large wolf slammed into it with full force and dragged it to the ground before biting down hard on its neck to kill it! Another ant appeared from behind, and Jason glanced back to see that it was trying to attack him while the others were distracted!
Jason stretched his hand out and activated a skill.
[Adamantine Hide] has been activated!
Jason's hand was coated in the silvery exoskeleton of the Adamantine Ants, and he caught the ant by the mandibles to stop it in its tracks. Jason felt some pain from the attack since the ant was a soldier and his skill was only an A Rank level skill, but the pain passed quickly and the Soldier ant couldn't even leave a mark on his skin! Jason called on another member of the Legion and watched as the soldier ant was blindsided by three ants that tore it to pieces.
There was so much going on in the cavern all at once, and Jason knew that he had to stay alert to make sure he wasn't attacked from a blind spot. All of this would end the moment he was killed, so his safety was the ultimate priority.
...
The Legion continued their onslaught through the ant's cavern as they made their way toward the center of the habitat, and as the battle progressed, it became more and more obvious to all the regular ants that were fighting for their Queen that they were seriously outmatched by the attackers.
Not only were Jason's army stronger, but they possessed a ferocity that could only be possessed by a creature that did not fear death. The ants were all loyal to their Queen, and they would fight for her till their last breath, but even they were terrified of death, and they would react instinctively with undeniable fear, just like all animals would when they were faced with the likelihood of death.
But the Legion were different! They didn't just rush forward without fear of death; they rushed forward anticipating death! They moved like creatures that had been crafted for the sole purpose of dying so that their King's wishes would come to pass! They knew that no matter what happened, their King could easily bring them back to this world. And even if he didn't bring them back, they didn't care! Their entire life was dedicated to the progress of the King's goal, and they would give everything up just for his success! That was their only mission in life!
The Legion were a force of undeniable terror that tore through the colony like a whirlwind of death, and the members of the colony all knew that this was not a fight that they could win.
Even on the other side of the colony, close to the center where the Queen was resting, the ants all heard the sounds of battle happening from the distance. There were less than a hundred ants left in the entire colony, and they had all gathered on a platform close to the Queen's resting place and waited.
The platform was located right in the center of the colony nest, and there was a large gorge surrounding the platform, ensuring that the only way you could reach it was by flying.
The ten superior ants that were the Queen's subordinates and mating partners all gathered in front of the remaining ants as they screeched their orders to the ants around them! This was their last stand, so they had to make sure that they killed the intruders here before they could get to the Queen! It didn't matter if they died! As long as even one ant was still alive, then the Queen could recreate the entire colony! They had to give their lives and protect the Queen!
The ants were moving large football-shaped eggs around quickly as they followed the orders of the Queen's subordinates. The eggs that they were carrying were what was meant to hatch into the next generation of ants in this colomy. There were more than one hundred eggs that the Queen had laid over the past few months, and they were all near their hatching period. But now that they were under attack, these eggs would never get to hatch, and they would never get to grow into the next generation.
The reason for this was simple. The eggs were the final defense that the ants had against the intruders.
Many eggs that didn't go through the gestation period properly ended up being discarded and left to rot, or they would be used as food for the Queen. But the eggs that rotted all decomposed quickly into methane, and the ants realized that these eggs would have an explosive reaction if they were cracked open.
And now that the ants had taken the gestating eggs out of their pods, they were no longer able to go through their regular gestation, and they had already begun to decay and transform into methane at a rapid pace. The ants carrying the eggs began to fly off the platform where the Queen was resting and headed for the Gorge that surrounded the Queen's resting place.
The Gorge was the last line of defense that separated the Queen's resting place from the rest of the hill. It created an isolated island in the center of the colony and ensured that only those with the ability to fly would be capable of making thier way to the Queen, and this was where they would make their last stand.
Up above the Gorge, the roof of the cave was covered in a deep darkness that swallowed all the light from the numerous glowing stones littering the floor and prevented anyone from seeing through it. The ants flew to the roof of the cave with the eggs held tightly in thier hands, and tucked in their wings to ensure they weren't spotted. Then, they waited for the enemies.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC67: All of Us Are Dead
Chapter 67: All of Us Are Dead
'It's quiet.'
This thought passed through Jason's mind as he glanced around the tunnel that they were moving down. Jason was still riding on the back of the large scout that he had chosen as his designated ride, and all around him, his Legion moved as one unit as they headed down the tunnel. Behind Jason, the bodies of dozens of ants lay broken and destroyed. Once more, Jason decided not to resurrect them since he didn't want the distraction that would come with the added numbers.
Jason had already given orders to all the subordinates under his command, and that had drained a lot of stamina from him. Right now, he estimated that he was at about half his full stamina capacity, and he knew that adding more ants would mean he had to give more commands to them as well, and that would only drain him even more. It might look like a beneficial strategy on paper, but in reality, the added numbers would just cause him more problems.
Jason would handle the resurrections after he was sure that the ants were all dead. After all, the number of subordinates he had now was almost twice as many as the remaining ants in the colony. And since they were attacking from both the eastern and southern regions simultaneously, they would easily force the ants into a corner and kill them.
Screech!
Screech!
Screeech!
Jason finally emerged at the other end of the tunnel, and he arrived at a large cavernous space right in the middle of the hill. The space was so large that Jason guessed that it took up nearly two-thirds of the entire hill. In front of them was a large gorge that had no visible bottom. Jason's [Predator's Gaze] was active as he looked down, but he was still not able to see where the Gorge ended, so he could only guess that the Gorge was far deeper than one kilometer, since that was the distance limit of his eyes.
Jason's eyes traveled over to the southern region of the cave, and he grinned when he saw that the rest of his Legion were also appearing from that area. The Legion there was mostly made up of wolves since the leader was the Moonlight Wolf boss, so they were all growling angrily towards the large gorge in front of them.
On the platform in the center of the Gorge, the last remaining ants had mounted their final defense. There were only about fifty of them standing there, and for some reason, their number gave Jason pause. Jason's eyes narrowed as he suddenly thought back to what crossed his mind earlier. It was quiet. Too quiet.
Jason already knew that the ants weren't stupid. They were at least capable of forming semi-complex attack patterns, so the quietness of the cave led Jason to wonder what exactly they could be planning. Jason hummed, then looked up before blinking in surprise as his [Predator's Gaze] caught something up there!
There were more than fifty ants clinging to the ceiling of the cave and holding large, football-shaped eggs in their limbs! Jason knew that if not for his special skill, there was no way he would have caught this plan! The eggs were most likely the same as the ones that exploded in the tunnel earlier, and Jason was able to guess what the plan was.
The ants were planning to bombard them with attacks when they tried to cross the gorge!? That was the most hilarious thing that Jason had ever seen! Jason didn't know why, but at that moment, he felt an fierce laugh bubble up from inside him! It was the same way a human would laugh if they caught rats trying to make plans to kill them! It was just so laughable that Jason couldn't help himself!
The grin on Jason's face widened and his eyes met those of one of the ten large ants in the distance. The ant had been waiting patiently for Jason to try to cross the cavern so that they could bombard him, but once the ant saw Jason look up, it knew that Jason had already seen the ants on the ceiling and deciphered the plan! The ant immediately screeched to all the ants on the ceiling, telling them to attack! It was sure that Jason would retreat to avoid the bombardment! If Jason retreats, then they could come up with another way to defeat him!
"Attack!"
But the ants were shocked when Jason put his hand forward and told his Legion to attack! Did they really think that Jason would retreat!? Were they stupid!? The ants might have created a plan that they thought would work against Jason's army, but in a situation like this, the larger army would always come out on top. Only those who were afraid of death would try to think of an alternative plan in this situation, and Jason's army was death itself!
All the ants in Jason's Legion immediately took off towards the incoming bombardment, and the more durable subordinates of the Rooks went to the front and braced themselves to take the full brunt of the bombardment!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Massive explosions echoed throughout the gorge as the ants unleashed the bombs on their enemies! The eggs needed to experience massive compression before they could explode, so the ants couldn't just throw them at their enemies and hope they went off! Instead, the ants had to hug the eggs to their bodies and then get close to the enemies before setting off the explosions, basically sacrificing their lives so their enemies were killed!
All at once, more than fifty ants set off huge explosions, making the gorge echo with the intense reverberation from their attack! The air grew musky and green with poison as the methane in the eggs spread throughout the region, and Jason made sure that his scout was far enough so that he didn't inhale the poison.
The ants on the other side of the Gorge began to move once they saw the explosions go off! They thought that the enemies would retreat once they faced the bombardment, but it turned out that the enemies really didn't care about their lives! They couldn't fight against something like this!
The ten ants that were leading the charge told the other ants to move forward and sacrifice themselves so that they could get the Queen to safety, but as the poisonous smoke cleared, the ants were all stunned to see that the explosions had done no harm at all!
The rooks that were in front of the charging Legion didn't face any form of damage since they were far more durable than the damage the explosions caused, and the poisonous gas did nothing to the Legion since they were already dead!
The entire Legion was still in perfect health, and once the explosions died down, they all began to race forward like a wave of pure carnage towards the center of the cavern! The ants quickly began moving back to try and form a protective ring around the entrance to the Queen's inner chamber, but they were immediately blindsided by the large Adamantine Ant Soldier Rook that arrived sooner than the other ants! The Rook slammed into the first ant, taking it to the ground and biting into its neck!
The Moonlight Wolf Rook was being carried across the gorge by five large soldier ants, and once they were over the gorge, they released it and allowed it to smash into the ground before it ran forward with a ferocity that bordered on pure insanity! It slammed into another one of the ten Queen subordinates before it used its claws to tear into a third one!
An ant tried to bite into its body with its mandibles, but the Rook didn't even register the attack as it grabbed that ant by the head and bit down hard on its neck to tear it in two!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC68: They Can't Hear You
Chapter 68: They Can't Hear You
More and more members of the Legion landed on the platform and they began to swarm the remaining ants. There were only about fifty ants left in the colony, but Jason's army had nearly two hundred in number! And since most of Jason's army were stronger than the regular ants left after the soldiers had all been killed, it wasn't even a contest anymore!
Jason watched all of this happening from his place up in the air. He was still riding on the back of his scout, and he watched as the ten Queen subordinates were being torn into by the Rooks and their subordinates. The Queen Subordinates tried their best to cause harm to the Rooks, but they were seriously outmatched due to the enhanced defense of the Rooks, and it didn't take long before the Rooks easily tore through all of them and left them twitching and dying on the ground.
Jason turned his attention to the left, where his system was going haywire with the notification tabs, and he read through them quickly.

Jason frowned when he saw the number of scouts and soldiers that he'd killed. From what Jason remembered, there were about fifty scouts and soldiers on the ceiling when the ants were planning to use the egg bombs against him. Did the system not count them toward his kill count?
[The user was not granted kill points for their deaths because the user was not responsible for their deaths. The ants were killed by the explosion caused by the methane-filled eggs.]
Jason hummed. That made sense. So does that mean he also wouldn't be able to gain their souls? All this while, the only creatures that Jason had tried to resurrect were those that had been killed either by him or by his Legion. Jason had never tried to bring back a creature that had died through other means. So Jason had no idea if he could only resurrect creatures that were killed by him or if he could resurrect any creature at all.
The system immediately responded.
[The user is only capable of acquiring souls from creatures that were killed by the user either directly or indirectly (By the Legion).]
Jason nodded as he finally understood everything and he turned back to see the Rooks moving around the bodies of the dead ants. The Rooks and the other members of the Legion had finally finished off the enemies, and Jason patted his scout on the head and told it to take him down to the ground.
He landed calmly before getting off and walked up to the ten corpses. These ants were all much larger than the other ants around, and Jason could tell that they would be high-level Pawn Rank III's if he resurrected them. The only ant left to be killed was the boss of the Gate itself, the Queen of the colony, and she was located inside the inner chambers just ahead.
The Boss of this Gate was classified as an Eldritch Rank according to the SMD. That meant that you would need a very high-level A Rank to defeat it, so long as there were other superhumans to handle the other monsters in the Gate.
Now that there were no other monsters, Jason decided that it would be overkill to go into the inner chambers with every single monster under his command.
Jason looked towards the two large Rooks that had killed the ten Queen Subordinates.

They had grown their hierarchy level a lot in the previous battles, but there was still a long way for them to go. Jason wanted to upgrade them as quickly as possible, so he needed to put them in more battles so that they would grow stronger.
And the best battle for both of them to be in right now was the battle against the Queen of this colony.
'You're both going to fight the Queen. I'll be at the side, but I won't offer any help.'
Jason spoke to the two Rooks as he walked forward, and the Rooks flanked Jason on the side with serious looks in their eyes as they headed for the inner chamber. The Rooks understood that Jason was doing this to help them grow stronger, so they decided that they would put all their effort into winning.
Jason sent a message to the rest of the Legion and told them to gather the bodies of the ants that had been killed so that Jason could resurrect them all at once. Also, the ants were told to get the Mana Crystals from inside the bodies. Jason already had close to one hundred and fifty Magic Crystals from this gate alone, and when he got the Magic Crystals from the remaining ants, he was sure he would surpass three hundred easily.
'I was able to make half a million from just thirty crystals last time. With this many crystals, I should make more than twenty times that. The only issue will be how to explain how I got the crystals to the SMD. I could just say that I stumbled into an Orange gate, but they'll definitely be suspicious.'
Jason frowned as these thoughts crossed his mind. He already knew that this rate of growth was not normal for anyone, so if he tried to explain that he stumbled into an orange gate and somehow killed all the monsters in there, they would likely not believe it.
After all, he had only just awakened the previous day as an A Rank. A new awakener clearing out an orange gate on their own was practically impossible.
Jason shook his head and decided not to let it distract him. He would deal with all that when he was done clearing the Gate.
Jason stopped just ahead of the entrance to the inner chambers, and he instructed the two Rooks to walk ahead of him. The Rooks moved forward and entered the chamber, and Jason nodded knowingly when a loud screech echoed through the chamber, followed by a massive impact as the Queen jumped from the ceiling and slammed into the Rooks!
If Jason had gone in there first, then he would have been attacked immediately. The Rooks were both slammed into the floor, and they immediately got up and threw the Queen off them before racing after her! The Queen was larger than any other ant in the dungeon, and her silver skin had a more intense luster compared to the others. She was so big that she was the same height as the almost twelve-foot-tall Moonlight Wolf!
She quickly used her mandibles to grab the Moonlight Wolf by the arm and bit down hard! The Moonlight Wolf growled as it felt pain in its arm, and it quickly used the other paw to slash across the Queen's face! The Adamantine Ant Soldier came from behind and bodyslammed the Queen, sending her to the ground and making her release a loud screech in anger!
The screech echoed against the wall of the chamber, and Jason's mouth split into a knowing smile when he realized that the Queen was calling for help from her children.
'They can't hear you, Queen. You're all alone.'

Chapter 69: Unnecessary Cruelty
'They can't hear you, Queen. You're all alone.'
The Ant Queen screeched again when there was no response from anyone outside the inner chambers, and it quickly raced after the moonlight wolf. The moonlight wolf rose on its hind legs so that it was larger than the Queen, and it grabbed the Queen by the head and held her down! It released a loud howl toward the Adamantine Ant Soldiers, and the Adamantine Ant Soldier immediately activated its [Linear Charge] and blasted forward toward the Queen!
SLAM!
A massive impact echoed through the chamber as the Queen was carried away by the Adamantine Ant's charge and they both slammed into the wall of the cave, sending debris and dust everywhere! The cave began to fall apart, and Jason easily slapped away a large slab of rock that tried to smash him. Jason's brow was raised in surprise as he watched the Moonlight Wolf and Adamantine Ant Rooks fight. They weren't doing anything elaborate or sophisticated, but Jason could tell that they were capable of forming simple plans on the go, and they were executing them to perfection.
'I didn't think they'd be this smart. This is good enough to act as an infantry leader in a battle. This is really good.'
Jason's hands were folded over his chest, and he was leaning back against the wall of the cave as he watched the Wolf bite into the neck of the Queen before pinning her down and allowing the Adamantine Ant to get a good grip of her leg! Then the both of them dragged the Queen in opposite directions, and a loud 'Rip' echoed through the chamber as the Queen's left leg was torn to shreds!
SCREECH!
The Queen let out a loud screech of pain as she immediately began to move away from the two of them! There was pressure in the cave that suddenly began to increase as the Queen summoned her inner mana and made it surge around her body quickly!
All the ants in the Adamantine Ant Hill had the ability to use the skill [Mana Frenzy] that would give them a boost in their abilities with mana that they used up. However, the weaker beasts, like the Workers and Scouts, could only use it to boost their power by a small amount. The Queen, meanwhile, could use her mana to boost her abilities up to a hundred percent of what she had once been, and Jason felt his eyes widen when the surge of power flowed across the cave!
'This is going to be more difficult. Can they handle it?'
Jason was concerned about whether or not the two Rooks would be capable of beating a monster that was literally shot full of adrenaline. The amount of power that he could feel in the cave was insane! But the only thing that made things seem even was the fact that the Queen was still missing a leg. That meant they at least had the advantage of moving quickly!
The Queen quickly tried to rush towards the Wolf Rook with her mandibles positioned to tear it to pieces! The Wolf Rook immediately dashed to the side and used the wall of the cave as a springboard to get up and around the ant's body! The Queen tried to turn around quickly, but it was too slow since its leg was missing, and the Ant Rook quickly used [Linear Charge] against it!
BOOM!
A sound like a Gatling Gun shot through the cave as the ant slammed into the side of the Queen! The Queen flew back quickly and slammed into the wall of the cave, and it let out a loud screech as it hurried to get to its feet! It immediately reached out for the Rook and latched onto it with her long legs! The Rook tried to tear out of the Queen's grip, but the Queen didn't allow it to move as she grabbed its head and tore it off its body!
RIP~!
Jason grimaced at the brutal execution and narrowed his eyes as the Queen got to her feet and let out a loud screech of intimidation! The body of the Ant Rook faded into purple dust, and the Ant Queen let out a skitter as it turned to look at Jason and the Wolf Rook. It almost seemed like it was laughing at them since it knew there were fewer enemies now.
But Jason just allowed a nasty grin to appear on his face as a tab opened in front of him.

'Yeah.'

A loud screech echoed from behind the Queen, and the Queen's eyes widened in stupefaction as she turned around sharply! But it was already too late for her, as she was blindsided by another brutal [Linear Charge] from the Ant Rook! The Ant Rook let out another loud screech as it grabbed the Queen around the head, and the Wolf Rook came up and grabbed the Queen's second leg before dragging it hard!
The Queen was still in shock at the sudden events that happened! It was already shocking enough that it was fighting against its own children, but the fact that it was fighting against beings that couldn't be killed dealt a serious blow to its fighting spirit, and Jason could see the moment when the Queen's desire to fight slowly began to fade from its eyes!
SQUELCH!
The Rooks tore the Queen's leg apart again, and the Queen let out a loud screech as she tried to get to her feet, but she wasn't able to get up as her leg was now useless. She was still clicking her mandibles aggressively and trying desperately to kill the Rooks, but there was nothing that she could do against them.
Jason frowned at the sight of the struggling Queen, and he sighed and told the Rook to end things quickly. She was already defeated, so doing anything more than this would just be unnecessary cruelty.
The Rooks quickly pounced on the Queen once Jason gave the order! The Wolf grabbed the Queen's head, and the Adamantine Ant held its body down to provide enough leverage to allow the Wolf to pull back hard! The Queen's head was ripped off its body, and the twitching carcass of the Queen slowly quieted down until it died.

Chapter 70: The Book of the Apocalype II
[The user has gained the second page of the [Book of The Apocalypse]]
——
Jason's eyes narrowed as he read through all these. The first thing that he was interested in was the new skill that he got. The [Eye of the King] skill sounded like one of the best things that he had ever received from the system. Being able to see through the eyes of his subordinates would allow him to easily guide their actions even when he was nowhere near them! It was perfect.
[Eye of the King] has been activated.
Jason immediately activated the skill to test it out, and he focused his mind on the scout that he had been riding earlier. His vision suddenly blurred slightly as a new scene appeared in front of him. Hundreds of ants were moving the bodies of dead ants towards the center of the cavern, and the Rook Subordinates were ordering them around and making sure that everyone was working on retrieving the Magic Crystals in the bodies.
Jason commanded the scout to move forward in his mind, and the scout wasted no time as it moved forward to get closer to the pile of bodies in the middle of the cavern.
Jason thought about moving his sight towards another ant that was flying through the air, and Jason hummed in amazement as his vision changed to the new ant's perspective. Jason was now flying through the air and carrying an ant carcass towards the pile of bodies in the distance.
Jason changed his perspective again, and this time he entered the perspective of the Moonlight Wolf Rook who was in the cave with him. The Wolf's gaze showed Jason standing with his hands in his pockets, and Jason chuckled. It was strange to watch yourself watching yourself like this.
'This is amazing.'
Jason turned off the connection and smiled as his vision cleared out again. It was a great skill, but there were still downsides that Jason would have to get used to. Like the fact that activating the skill only allowed him to see through the eyes of one member of his Legion at once, and also that he couldn't really see what was in front of him if he activated the skill.
If Jason was going to use this skill, then he had to make sure he only used it when he was in no danger. Or if he was being protected by other members of the Legion at least. That way he wouldn't have to worry about being attacked while in the middle of talking to his subordinates.
The next thing that Jason looked into was the [Stormheart] artifact. From the description that the system gave him, Jason could tell that it once belonged to his father. Jason already knew that his father was responsible for him gaining his powers, so he couldn't help but wonder who exactly his father was.
Jason called on it and a ripple appeared in the air above his hand before an elaborate-looking silver necklace appeared from within the ripple and landed gently.
Jason brought it up to eye level and looked it over with a curious gaze. So it was a wearable artifact? Jason didn't have anything against wearable artifacts, but he would have preferred if it was some sort of ring or—
The artifact suddenly transformed into the shape of a silver ring, and Jason blinked in shock. His brow furrowed at the sudden action, and an idea formed in his head as he spoke internally.
'Make it a glove.'
The ring suddenly transformed into a silver glove, and Jason huffed interestingly. This was pretty cool. Does that mean it could transform into anything at all?
[The Stormheart can be transformed into any wearable form, but its main form is the necklace that was initially given.]
The system quickly answered Jason, and Jason hummed with a nod. That was pretty useful. At least he didn't have to worry about wearing such an elaborate necklace around. He willed it to transform into a ring again, and he put it on calmly. The effects were immediate.
Jason felt a boost in his constantly-draining stamina and he sighed as he stared down at the ring with a small smile.
'So it'll reduce the amount of energy I use in commanding the Legion. I've been worried about that for a while now.'
Jason was glad that he finally got something to help with the commands. His stamina was high, but his subordinates were growing even faster than he anticipated. If Jason resurrects all the ants outside, he would have more than three hundred subordinates. That would be enough to drop his stamina by ten percent for every single command. At least with this ring, he only had to give about seven or eight percent per command.
It wasn't a major drop in percentage, but those two percent could be the difference between one more order to save his life or the life of those he loved, and Jason would use anything useful to his advantage.
The final reward was the [Book of the Apocalypse], and Jason walked over to a large rock that was the proper height and took a seat there before he opened the tab that held the information.
——
[Book of The Apocalypse]
[Entry Two]
Hello, Jason.
At this point, you must've already figured out who I am. I mean, if you haven't done it already, then you're probably not my son. Jason wouldn't be so stupid.
And on the off chance that some other person managed to obtain this power by one means or another, I want you to know that it will self-destruct and kill you in 3...2...1...
Okay, so now that we've established that you're actually Jason, I'll try to get serious.
Hey, son. I know you have a lot of questions for me. Both about your heritage and about the things that have been happening around you. I just want you to know that everything that's happened so far isn't some big coincidence. From the very moment I first arrived on Earth, the fate of the world had been sealed. It was my mistake that led the primordials to Earth, and now, I must leave and protect you all for as long as I can.
I wondered at first if it was really okay for you to not know about your heritage before you turned eighteen. If it were up to me, then I would have preferred if you never gained knowledge about the world outside your own. It sounds cruel, but as a father, I want what's best for you. And I truly believe you'll find the most joy by enjoying your daily life as a human.
Finding yourself a nice girl and settling down with her is everything a father could wish for his son. Like that girl Gina that you've been hanging around with since you could walk. Did you finally get some action with her? I hope so. If you haven't, I'll probably disown you or something. No son of mine can fumble a Latina and get away with it. Haha.
Alright, now to more serious matters. Jason, I want you to pay very close attention to what I am about to tell you. I said in my previous entry that you're not fully human. You look and feel like humans do, but that is only because you've lived amongst them all your life, and your mother's blood also flows in you. You are not one of them. You are a primordial.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC71: The Avaran Race
Chapter 71: The Avaran Race
You look and feel like humans do, but that is only because you've lived amongst them all your life, and your mother's blood also flows in you. You are not one of them. You are a primordial.
Your home world is known as Avaran and it was once one of the strongest worlds in the Primordial Expanse. I was the one who concealed your true race on the system tab to make sure you were ready. And although you might want to know everything about it now, I cannot tell you more until I know you are ready for that too.
Instead, what I can tell you is about what it means to be a member of the Avarian race. The Avarians possessed a biology that surpasses that of any other species. We are each born with an innate genetic superiority that allows us to grow stronger indefinitely through the consumption of Magical Crystals. I don't think I need to explain more than this since you have the system there to help you learn more about all this. With the unique genetics you possess along with the system I've gifted you, I know you can become the strongest of us.
As for the Avarians, our ability to grow so quickly caused us to be feared by the other Primordials, and in time we were betrayed and attacked by the other Primordial races, leading many of us to go into hiding. Now, there are not many of us Avarians left, and I have no idea where the ones who are alive are hiding. In our absence, the Primordials have dedicated themselves to the conquest of all the Primordial Expanse, and in time, the Primordials will come for both you and your world.
Before that time comes, you must prepare yourself for the worst. Grow stronger at every opportunity and protect your family. Protect our family, Jason. I'm putting all my trust in you. It's a hard job, but you are my son. I know you are up to the task.
On a separate note, you should watch out for a man named Cerci and his organization, Gaia. They will claim to know me, and I'm sure Cerci will try to make you trust him. But take whatever comes out of his mouth with a grain of salt. Use him until there's nothing more he can give you, but never put your full trust in him. He is a brilliant man, but he is the most twisted motherfucker I've ever seen.
I hope this isn't the last time you read one of my messages. Until next time, try not to die, son.
——
Jason stared at the message in front of him with a small smile tugging at his lips. He read through the message again and let out a small laugh while resting his head in his hand. Yeah, this was definitely his father. Jason had been a little unconvinced when he read the first message earlier. It was so formal and no-nonsense that Jason wasn't sure if it was his father or not! From what Jason remembered of his father, the man was playful, and he would always joke around and swear at the craziest things while working with his mother in the store! Jason just didn't see his father as someone that serious!
But now that Jason was seeing this message, he could tell that this was his father! At least now he could be sure that his father hadn't left them for no reason. He ran a hand over his face and read the message again to figure out everything his father was talking about. So his father really wasn't human? Jason wasn't as surprised by that revelation as he thought he would be. He already suspected something like this when he saw the question marks on the system tab earlier. That meant he had inherited ten percent of his mother's DNA and ninety percent of his father's. Jason was basically an alien.
But how in the world would consuming magical crystals help him get stronger?
[The user has discovered a [Hidden Mission] due to the discovery of his [Avarian Bloodline]]
——
New Mission: Consume your first Magic Crystal
The user has discovered his origin as a member of the Avarian Race. Due to the user's Avarian Bloodline, he is capable of gaining benefits by consuming the Magical Crystals of Magical Beasts. Consume your first magical crystal to successfully complete the mission.
Reward:
+2,000 Kill Points
——
'It's real?'
Jason stared at the mission with slight shock. For a moment when he read his father's message, Jason was skeptical about having to consume magical crystals. Jason had never heard about anyone doing something like that before, so he wondered if he would really be okay. For a second, he thought that his dad was just pulling his leg! But the fact that the system was also doubling down on it just made him realize that his dad wasn't pulling his leg. It was real.
'But if I'm an Avarian, then what about the Necromancer system? What is it? How did I get it from my dad?'
There were many questions that Jason had about this entire thing. Being an Avarian meant that his innate ability was to consume magical crystals. But if that was true, then how did his father get his hands on the Necromancer system?
Jason asked this question to the system, and he watched as the system brought up a response.
[The system has no knowledge of its origin.]
Jason frowned at that answer and asked another question.
'Am I the only person in the world with a system?'
[Yes, the system can confirm that the user is the only person wielding a system in the vast Primordial Expanse.]
Jason hummed with his hand over his chin. There were still many questions that he needed answers to, and the system was only making him more curious. If he was the only one with a system, then that meant the system was something separate from his heritage. Someone made the system and the system first belonged to that person before becoming his.
'How did Dad get this system and put it in the necklace? Did he use the system before giving it to me? System, am I the first person to ever use you?'
[No, the user is not the first wielder of the system.]
'How many wielders have there been before me?'
[Before the user, the system has been used by 2 other Primordials, both of whom have passed it down to a suitable descendant at their time of death.]
Jason put his face in both hands and sighed. Okay, so that makes things a lot more understandable. It wasn't like the system just came out of thin air. It had an origin, and there were others that had used it before him. But his father was still alive, so Jason knew that he hadn't used the system. The system could only be passed down after someone dies. So, how did his dad get this system in the first place?
There was a strange thought in Jason's mind, and for some reason, Jason found it hard not to consider that thought. But there was a real chance that the system hadn't belonged to his father at all. What if his father had taken the system from someone else and then modified it to give it to Jason? What if his father had stolen the system?
Jason sighed and decided not to be bothered too much by this anymore. For now, he would just focus on moving forward and getting stronger. The more Jason hears about these Primordials, the more he realizes that they aren't to be taken lightly. If they were on their way here already, then Jason needed to get ready for it.
'So, how do I do this again?'
Jason looked at the message from his father and the mission that the system sent him. They only told him to consume the Magical Crystal, but they didn't say anything about how to do that. Did they really mean he should 'eat' a Magical Crystal? Jason chuckled at that thought before he sighed tiredly. He fucking hated the fact that he was probably right.
[The user is correct.]
Fuck.
Jason cursed at the system's response before he spoke to one of the subordinates outside.
'Bring me a crystal.'

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC72: Eat Crystal and Grow
Chapter 72: Eat Crystal and Grow
'Bring me a crystal.'
One of the wolves outside the chamber heard Jason's command through the mental link, and it quickly carried a large magical crystal from one of the Adamantine Ant Soldiers and brought it to Jason. The crystal was the same size as the magical crystal that Jason got from the Moonlight Wolf Boss, and when Jason looked over it, he saw that there was still some blood stuck to it.
'If this is some sort of joke, then the blood alone will likely kill me. I'm sure humans aren't meant to consume Magic Beast blood. Is it safe for me to eat this?'
Jason asked the last question to the system and the system immediately brought up a response.
[The consumption of Magical Beast blood will cause serious internal issues for any human and likely end in death, but the user does not need to be concerned about the effects due to the fact that his human DNA is greatly overpowered by his Avarian DNA. The user will not die... most likely.]
'Most likely!?'
[...]
"..."
[The system was attempting to lighten the mood by making what humans refer to as a 'joke']
Jason's brow rose in surprise. The system had to be fucking with him, right?
"What sort of joke is that?"
[The system is the single greatest source of information and power in the known Primordial Expanse. Understanding the nuances of human comedic nature is beneath its necessary functions.]
Jason put his hand on his face as he felt a chuckle escape him. He couldn't believe the system was trying to joke with him in this situation! But even though the joke was a horrible one, it actually helped to lighten the mood a little and Jason felt some gratitude towards the system as he shook his head and looked back down at the crystal.
'Dad was the one who gave me the system, and it hasn't let me down so far, so let's see how far I can go while trusting him.'
Jason popped the Magical Crystal in his mouth, and he grimaced at the horrible taste of it. He crushed it between his teeth, and a loud sound like glass breaking echoed through the region before he swallowed.
Boom!
Immediately Jason swallowed it, a sudden rush of power, like millions of electric volts, suddenly passed through his body! From his toes all the way up to the top of his fucking scalp, Jason could feel an invigorating energy like nothing he had ever felt before.

——
[Exo-Skeletal Armor: This skill allows the user to create an exoskeletal protection around his body or on any individual part of his body in order to protect himself against incoming magical or physical attacks. This skill cannot be evolved.]
——
Jason used his tongue to get some of the crystal out of his teeth while looking at the message from the system. Jason's eyes were wide in shock when he saw how much he got from this one crystal! Jason wasn't surprised by the massive amount of mana that he received since that was normal for him by now, but Jason didn't think that he would also be able to evolve his skills with that crystal.
The most impressive part though, was the fact that his stats also received a boost from the crystal. This was just one crystal, and all of Jason's stats had improved this much! Jason was already thinking about what would happen to him if he ate fifty or even a hundred crystals! If he wasn't in the middle of a battle, he could always just eat the crystals from the monsters that he had killed to continue growing stronger!
No wonder his father said that the Avarian race was capable of growing stronger indefinitely! This was a perfect way to improve your power outside of battle!
But Jason hummed when he read the last part of the rewards and saw that he had gained something completely foreign to him.
'What do you mean by genetic trait? Is my body changing?'
[The user is correct. The consumption of Mana Crystals not only grants the user the mana held within the crystal as well as a boost in his stats, but it also modifies the user's genetic makeup and allows the user to improve his human bloodline. This makes it easier for the user to activate and utilize the skills that he gains from the various races he consumes.]
Jason hummed curiously when he saw this. He could only improve on his human bloodline. What about his Avarian bloodline?
[The Avarian genome is more powerful than 90% of the genomes existing in the Primordial Expanse. Something so powerful cannot be easily modified by a genome weaker than it, which is why only the human genome is constantly modified.]
Jason nodded along once he was done reading all this. If he was undergoing some sort of genetic mutation, then what would happen if he modified his genetics too much? Was he going to change into some sort of ant?
[The user will retain his humanoid appearance but will be capable of utilizing the skills from the consumed race more easily. The skills will grow more powerful the more Magic Crystals that the user consumes.]
Jason read through all this quickly and nodded. It was perfect. So long as he was able to continue eating as many stones as possible, he would continue to grow stronger. Jason immediately began thinking of how powerful he would be if he ate the crystals from one of the stronger monsters, like the Leviathan or even the Armageddon! He could probably shoot himself straight up into the SS Rank once he did that!
And since the system said that Jason only had to eat the crystals, that meant he didn't even have to be the one to kill the monsters. Jason could 'acquire' [A/N: steal] crystals from as many people as possible and then consume them to grow stronger!
Jason mentally sent a message to the wolf sitting beside him and told it to go and grab five more magical crystals. The wolf yipped and quickly went to do as it was told, and Jason moved on to his other reward. The new skill that he got was now an S Rank, and Jason was immediately curious to know just how strong it was! This was Jason's first S Rank skill, and from all the amazing things he had heard about S Ranks for the past ten years, he had a feeling that it would be really strong!
Jason stood and stretched as he called on the large Moonlight Wolf Rook that had been watching him curiously all this time. The wolf quickly came up to him and licked his face, and Jason chuckled before he told it to sit.
[Exo-Skeletal Armor] has been activated.
Jason turned on the skill and he watched as a lustrous silver armor quickly formed over his body. The armor looked sturdy, but the joints were loose to allow Jason to move properly, and the armor's head was the same shape as an ant's head with two large antennae over it.
Jason tilted his head to one side before he sent a mental command to the wolf in front of him! The wolf tilted its head to one side curiously to mirror Jason and it asked Jason if he was sure. Jason clicked his tongue and commanded the wolf to do it immediately!
Woosh!
BOOM!
The wolf suddenly lashed out with immense strength and slammed Jason away! Jason flew back like a fucking rocket before slamming into the wall of the cavern and digging a deep crater into it! The entire cavern shook from the impact, and the tremors traveled all the way to the surface of the hill, making hundreds of birds fly away in fear!
Jason was stuck in the wall like some sort of cartoon character, and the large wolf came up to him quickly and prodded him with its nose while asking if he was okay.
"Hahaha! That shit didn't even hurt!"
Jason let out a loud laugh before he dragged himself out from the crater in the wall easily. He landed on his feet with no trouble and rolled his shoulder around before patting the wolf on the side to tell it that he was okay! The wolf whined and lay down. It really didn't want to hurt Jason, so it was just glad that the king was okay.
Jason had been trying to see just how durable the armor was, and he now knew that if it could survive a blow from an Eldritch Class beast like the Rook, then he would definitely not have any trouble against most of the superhumans out in the real world!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC73: The Queen's Heart
Chapter 73: The Queen's Heart
If the Exo-skeleton could survive a blow from an Eldritch Class beast like the Rook, then he would definitely not have any trouble against most of the superhumans out in the real world!
Eldritch Class magical beasts could only be taken down by high-level A Ranks, so most superhumans would be easily killed by them! The only people Jaosn still had to be careful of were the S and SS Ranks.
Jason thought about getting rid of the helmet, and he cracked his neck as the silver helmet melted away to leave him in just the silver armor. Jason looked himself over, and then he willed away the rest of the armor, other than the part over his arms. Now, Jason looked like some sort of cybernetically enhanced human with metallic arms and he chuckled at that thought before putting his right hand out to the Rook and giving it another order.
The Rook immediately used its paws to hide its nose on the ground while looking up at Jason with miserable eyes! It really didn't want to do this! Why was Jason making it do this!?
All the members of the Legion saw Jason as their King, and to them, it was taboo to even think about hurting the King. Anyone who tried to hurt the King deserved to die immediately. So Jason testing out his abilities by forcing them to hurt him was only making the wolf feel bad! But Jason assured it that he wasn't angry.
'I'll give you more head pats after, come on.'
The wolf perked up at the mention of head pats, and Jason just laughed as it came forward and bit down hard on Jason's right arm!
Clang!
A sound like metal striking metal echoed through the region and Jason grimaced as he felt some pain in his arm! The Moonlight Wolf's teeth were like vice clamps as they held Jason's arm down, but even though Jason knew he couldn't move, his arm was still not hurt by the bite! Jason ordered the wolf to let go and it immediately let go and looked at the arm to make sure that it didn't hurt Jason! Jason petted the wolf on the head and told it that he was fine, and then he ordered it to go back and rest with the large Adamantine Ant Rook.
Jason flexed his hand and then grinned as he willed the armor to vanish. This was a good test, and at least he now knew how strong he was compared to the rest of his legion. Jason was somewhere on the same level as the Rooks, but he was still weaker than them for now, so he would likely lose if they had a fight. But once Jason resurrected more monsters in just a few minutes, he was going to become more powerful for sure. Jason just hoped that the monsters here would be enough to take him all the way to S rank.
Yip! Yip!
A sound came from beside Jason and Jason turned to see the wolf he sent out with multiple magic crystals in its mouth. Jason put his hand out and the wolf dropped the crystals into his palm. Jason petted the wolf's head in thanks, and the wolf moved to go and join the rest of the Legion in gathering the bodies of the ants.
Jason popped one of the crystals in his mouth and chewed.

This time, the stone Jason ate came from an Adamantine Ant worker, so it gave him a lower boost in his stats and mana compared to the one from the Adamantine Ant Soldier. Jason's mana was still being replenished after all the fighting that he had just gone through, but he could feel the reserves growing faster with each stone he consumed. Jason licked his teeth with his tongue and tasted the crystal properly, and when he was sure that he didn't feel any form of sickness in his stomach from the one he had swallowed, he started to walk towards the dead Adamantine Ant Queen.
The body of the Adamantine Ant Queen was extremely large and it towered over Jason like a freaking duplex. Jason looked it over calmly, and he suddenly wondered if there was really no use for it. Jason hadn't heard any superhumans talking about using the carcass of a magical beast before, but there was no way the magical beast carcass would be useless, especially since it had been saturated in its own mana for so long.
[Most magical creatures lose their strength and durability after their death due to the gradual diffusion of their mana to the environment. The majority of a dead magical creature's mana gathers into its Magical Crystal and any artifacts that it leaves behind. There are very few creatures who do not lose their magical potency even after death, such as the Basilisk, the dragons, or the multi-headed hydra.]
Jason read through the message from the system quickly and hummed in understanding. So that was why they weren't gathering the bodies in the SMD building. The magical creatures would be useful for a while, but they would eventually lose all their properties as the magic faded from their bodies and left them useless.
That was why they mainly focused on gathering the Magical Crystals. Gathering the bodies when something like that was bound to happen would become a second priority.
Jason sent a mental command to the Adamantine Ant Rook and told it to bring out the magical crystal from the Boss. The Rook went to the Boss's body and tore it open easily before reaching toward its heart and ripping out the magical crystal. It came and dropped the magical crystal in Jason's hand, but then it went back and retrieved something else that was inside the Boss. It was a circular glass globe that was just large enough to sit in Jason's hand. It had strange swirling waves inside it and Jason narrowed his eyes as he activated [Appraisal].
[Due to repeated use, the user has evolved the skill [Appraisal - B]]

Adamantine Ant's Heart
Rank: S
Durability: 100%
Boosts: +100% to Mana Attacks, +50% Agility.
Description: The heart of the Adamantine Ant Boss, which contains its soul essence. The orb grants the wielder a massive boost in their mana output and allows them to operate at a much higher level than they were once capable of. Constant use of the Heart will drain the object's durability.
——
[The system suggests that the user fashions this orb into a wieldable staff in order to use it more efficiently.]
[The system has detected that the user does not possess any Emitter-based skill that would allow him to utilize this staff to its maximum potential. The system advises that the user either acquires an Emitter-based skill or grants the artifact to one of his allies or subordinates who will be capable of utilizing it more efficiently to aid the user in battle.]
Jason tossed the orb up and caught it. It was really useful. Boosting magic attacks by a hundred percent meant that a simple B Rank spell could grow to be half as strong as an A Rank spell. It wasn't going to just close the gap between the ranks, but it would at least allow someone to stand against enemies that would've easily killed you earlier.
But Jason knew that an artifact like this wasn't going to do him much good. This artifact was more suited towards Emitters who cast spells, and since Jason didn't have any Emitter-type skill, he wasn't going to be able to put this to good use.
'But I know someone that this would be perfect for...'
