Chapter 114: Lack of Intellect
The agent was no longer watching him, and Jason wondered where she had gone.
"Whatever. At least she's not in my house."
Jason deactivated his skill and began going to class.
"Hey fatty! Come on, where's my money?"
"Jared, I have to get to class."
"Oh shut up! I said to get me the money today, didn't I? Did you think I was joking?"
"I don't have any money, so—"
"You want me to smack you, fatty? It's not like it'll even hurt. That fat belly will probably absorb everything anyway, but I'll do it."
Jason stopped in his tracks as he heard a voice coming from around the corner. His eyes narrowed and he immediately stepped forward to see what was going on. It was a group of three boys surrounding a fourth boy in the corner, with a girl standing against the wall to one side with her arms folded and a bored look on her face.
The surrounded boy was short and chubby with grey hair and black eyes that were staring at the floor in fear, and Jason immediately recognized him as one of his classmates. He was named Darren, if Jason remembered correctly, and he sat at the back of the class beside the window. He was a superhuman as well, but he was only an E Rank, so he didn't have as much prestige as the other superhumans in the school.
Jason turned his gaze from the chubby boy over to the girl standing there, and he narrowed his eyes as he recognized her. She had long blonde hair and a pretty mean-girl face. Her eyes were slanted like daggers, and her pink lips squeezed into a frown once she caught Jason's eyes before she turned away from him and stared at the ground.
This girl was named Fiona, and she was the queen bee of the school. She had once been a regular studious student, but after she awakened her gift early in her second year, she began to hang out with Jared and his lackeys for some reason.
Jason and Fiona had once been close enough to be considered friends, but after she started hanging around Jared, they stopped hanging out together. Jason didn't really care either way, and he didn't bother trying to make her talk to him after she stopped.
Jason turned away from Fiona and finally looked at Jared. Jason wasn't surprised by the scene in front of him. Everyone knew that Jared was the biggest bully in the school, but no one could ever stand up to him for two main reasons. The first reason was because Jared was also the leader of the most popular clique in school, and standing against him would mean social suicide. Even if he couldn't hit you physically, he could ruin your life socially. And the second reason was that Jared was smart enough never to bully any regular students.
Jared was a superhuman, so he had signed the contract preventing him from harming regular students, but the same thing didn't apply to superhumans. Jared could do whatever he wanted to the superhumans without fearing any repercussions, and that was why Jared always focused all of his bullying on any superhuman that didn't align with what he wanted. And as far as victims went, Darren was the perfect target.
Darren whimpered as Jared raised his fist for a hit while his lackeys grabbed his shoulders to prevent Darren from running away, but Jason suddenly glared at them and let out the tiniest bit of mana!
Everything in the hallway froze. Jared's hand was stuck in the air as his eyes widened in shock, and he slowly, almost mechanically, turned his head around! His eyes were wider than a deer in headlights, and he slowly felt anger and fear surging from inside him when he saw who was standing there.
Jason spoke up in the most condescending voice he could muster.
"You know, it takes an extreme special lack of intellect to still bully people even after reaching high school. And from what I'm seeing right now, Jared, I can tell you're very low on the intellectual spectrum."
Jared grit his teeth so hard he could nearly hear them crack! Who the fuck was he calling an idiot!? Did Jason think that he was some big shot now just because he gained more power than him? Jared grabbed Darren around the neck and pulled him close with a maniacal grin on his face.
"Hey, Darren, look at this. Jason over here is trying to act like a knight in shining armor. I bet you feel like a Disney princess, don't you?"
Jared grabbed Darren's hair and pulled it back so that he was staring up at Jason before he snarled. Jared's teeth had elongated, and his eyes were now a bright yellow that made him look like a wolf. Jared was a brawler with a superhuman ability called BloodHound that modified his body and gave him some wolf-like characteristics. When his Gift was active, his agility, dexterity, and sight would shoot up significantly.
It was this ability to transform his body that allowed him to rise to the top spot in the school. Even though Jared couldn't inflict harm on any regular student, he was still more than capable of intimidating most people with his wolf-like appearance.
Jared spoke into Darren's ear irritatedly when Darren didn't answer.
"I said, don't you feel like a fucking Disney princess, fatty?"
Darren let out a desperate grunt and tried to free himself from Jared's hold, but Jared only tightened his hand and made sure Darren couldn't get free. Jason watched the scene play out with a calm look on his face. This wasn't the first time that Jason had seen Jared attacking Darren; it was something that happened often. But back then, Jason couldn't do anything about it because he wasn't going to get on the wrong side of a superhuman. But now that Jason could do something about it, he wasn't going to just stand by.
Jason took a step forward and Jared flinched and took a step back. He watched Jason with narrowed eyes and tried his best to keep up the tough exterior that he was showing at that moment. Jared knew that this moment was important for the future. If Jared showed any fear in front of Jason now, then it would be the same as giving up the top position in the school to him. Jared refused to be the lackey to this bastard.
A hand suddenly landed on Jared's shoulder, and Jared felt every cell in his body lock up in shock as Jason's voice came from right beside him.
"Let go of him, Jared. And get back to class."
Jared pulled back from Darren like he had just touched burning coal!? Jared hadn't even seen Jason move! It was almost like he vanished! Jared held his instincts and sight above everyone else because even as a D rank he had much better eyesight than even most C Ranks! There wasn't a single person in this school that could move faster than he could see them! But Jason's movement had been instantaneous! It was so fast that Jared didn't even feel the air ripple until it was too late! It was like Jason was standing five meters away one second ago, and the next moment, he appeared beside Jared!
Jared took deep breaths to try and calm himself and he watched as Jason put his hands in his pockets with a calm sigh. Almost like this was just a waste of time to him and he was tired of dealing with children!

Chapter 115: The Greatest Treasure
Jared took in deep breaths to try and calm himself, and he watched as Jason put his hands in his pockets with a calm sigh. Almost like this was just a waste of time to him and he was tired of dealing with children! Another shot of anger flew through Jared, and he was about to step forward, but a voice came from behind them.
"Tch, this is stupid. Let's just go."
It was Fiona who spoke, and Jared turned to give her a hard look. Fiona frowned back at him as she started to walk away. Fiona could tell that Jared was pissed that she interrupted him, but she didn't care. She had felt the intense mana that Jason had and she knew that there was no version of this fight where Jared came out as the winner. They were all just going to get their asses handed to them!
"If you want to fight here, then fine. But I'm not going to get into trouble with the teachers just 'cause you want to start a dick-measuring contest. You boys are always so stupid."
Fiona disappeared down the hall, and Jared clicked his tongue before he shoved his lackeys to the side and told them to start walking.
"This isn't over."
Jared spat to the side in irritation before he and his lackeys left Jason and Darren alone in the hallway. Once they were gone, Jason turned around to try and leave, but he was stopped when he felt someone grab his shoulder from behind. Jason turned around with a raised brow, and he leaned back in shock when Darren suddenly came very close to him.
What the fuck!?
"Thank you very much for saving me, boss! I really thought I would be a goner when Jared saw me outside class. Talk about a failed mission. I was going to sneak into the east locker room to discover treasure, but my plan was foiled."
Jason's frown only deepened at the strange manner of speaking that Darren had. Darren was talking like one of those protagonists in the anime that Gina would sometimes force him to watch. Like everything that happened here was only part of some greater plan that would reveal itself at a later date. Jason thought he was crazy.
"Uh... you're welcome."
Jason gave a quick response before he tried to get away from the boy, but he was stopped again as Darren exclaimed.
"No, I can't just let this go unrewarded! You saved me from certain death! At least let me repay you."
Jason was now utterly and completely lost. Darren was holding onto his left hand like a koala bear hugging a tree, and Jason wondered what the hell he had gotten himself into here! But Jason suddenly stopped when something Darren had said registered to him. He said he wanted to go to the Eastern Locker Room, right? Wasn't that the girl's locker room? Jason's eyes narrowed in sheer disbelief.
"Hey, what were you going to do in that locker room?"
Darren blinked up at Jason before he suddenly stood straight and coughed into his hand. His face split into a wide smile, and he put one hand behind his back and gestured with the other hand to make himself look more sophisticated as he said,
"Why, I was going to peep in the girls' changing room, of course."
The sheer boldness of the statement prevented Jason from being able to react for the next three seconds! Was that the treasure this bastard said he was going to find!? Naked girls? Jason always knew that Darren was a special kid. Some of the other students in their class even described him as someone with eighth-grade syndrome. But it seems that it wasn't just that. At that moment, Jason realized that maybe he should've just left this bastard to be bullied.
"You said you were going to find some fucking treasure."
"Do you think I lied!? No, I have not! The greatest treasure in the known world is the feminine figure! The most exalted slope known to mankind is the curve of the feminine hip! The greatest peak ever discovered is that of the feminine chest! That is what I call a true treasure! The female body! Ass-men? Boobs-men? Thigh-men? I call them all fools! Fools, I say! There is no need to pick one over the other! All parts of the feminine creature are worthy of exaltation!"
He was a perverted idiot!
Jason immediately knew that this bastard was just a fucking pervert! What the hell was he even yapping about!? Jason sighed to the side in sheer disappointment, but a few seconds later, he couldn't help but let out a small laugh. Even though the idiot was nothing but a pervert, Jason could understand why he would call the female figure a treasure. There are few things as amazing as a woman's body.
"Look, I'm glad you're so... spirited about this. Just try not to get into any more trouble while trying to get your treasures. Jared doesn't look like he'll stop anytime soon, and I might not be there next time."
Jason knew that this wasn't the last he'd hear from Jared, so he just wanted to make sure that idiot didn't get himself in trouble again. But Darren just laughed with his head held high and declared,
"Huhuhu! I was only humoring that peasant! I could have defeated him at any moment, but that would have revealed my secret identity so I decided to let him do what he wanted. It's like my father used to say; with great power comes great responsibility! I had to make sure I didn't hurt him—"
Smack!
Jason smacked Darren on the back of his head, and Darren cried out in pain! Jason could tell that Darren was only lying to try and hide his embarrassment, but it was so cringe that Jason couldn't hear any more of it!
But even though Jason felt like Darren was lying, there was a look in Darren's eyes that told him Darren actually believed he could defeat Jared if he tried. Darren was only an E-rank superhuman, but Jared was a D-rank. Trying to fight against him would be suicide since the difference in power was too much. But for some reason, Darren actually felt he could do it.
Jason didn't know what gift Darren had and he wasn't interested in knowing about it, but Jason felt like Darren's gift must be amazing if he had so much confidence in himself.
Jason just shook his head at that and spoke calmly.
"Stop acting like you're some shonen protagonist, you idiot. And you stole that line from Spider-Man. You're not fooling anybody."
Darren gave Jason an embarrassed smile while ducking his head and muttering that his father had actually said that, and Jason sighed before he turned, put his hands in his pockets, and began walking to class. Darren's face fell as he thought Jason was already annoyed with his presence, and Darren began to sulk a little, but Jason turned around after a few steps and called on him.
"Oi, aren't you coming to class?"
Jason and Darren were in the same class, so Jason wondered if Darren was planning to skip the day. Darren's face immediately lit up when he heard Jason call out to him, and Jason smirked. Jason decided that there were worse things than having a pervert as a friend. Darren looked like he needed someone to guide him, or he'd end up getting himself into too much trouble.
Darren ran to catch up with Jason while yelling animatedly,
"I'll tell you all about the wonders of the female body, boss!"
"No, you won't. And stop calling me boss."
"Sorry, boss!"

Chapter 116: A Proper Threat
Ring~ Ring~ Ring~
The bell signaling the start of lunch break rang through the school, and the sound of students rushing out of class echoed throughout the hallways. In Jason's class, the teacher managed to finish her lecture at the exact moment when the bell rang, so the students all got off their seats and rushed to go to lunch. Jason was seated on the left side of the class, staring out the window into the sky, but he was still able to hear the things that a lot of the students were mumbling about him.
"Did you hear what happened earlier? They say Jason and Jared fought."
"Really? Wait, does that mean Jason is the new head of the superhuman clique?"
"I don't know. But I think he told Jared to back off from causing trouble."
"That's good. I've been worried that he'd end up hurting someone soon. The bastard keeps flaunting his abilities as a superhuman as if he isn't just a damn D Rank."
The students gathered around chuckled at that statement before one of them brought up something else.
"Hey, did you see the new Dive Vlog that was posted online? The Red Avengers went into a Red Gate in Texas and cleared it out. The monsters there were like giant worms!"
"Really? Show me!"
Some of the students gathered around the first boy who spoke so they could see the Dive Vlog. A Dive Vlog was a video that many guilds created from when they went into Gates. Inside a Gate, most signals and methods of communication were cut off, but that didn't mean you couldn't record videos using a phone or camera.
A guild would record a video of themselves going through the Gate Dive and then, when they came out, an editor would clean up the video and make it presentable so they could post it on MeTube and other social media platforms in order to gather more fans. By doing this, a guild would not only be making money for themselves, but they would also make sure that their popularity with the civilians remained high! This popularity would allow them to get more Gate Diving contracts and make even more money!
Right now, the most popular Gate Diving Vlogs came from one of the Five Rulers known as the Predator. He lived in Germany, and he was hailed as the strongest superhuman in the entire world! People gave him the name Predator because of how ruthlessly he handled monster hunting! It was like watching a lion going after a deer and tearing it apart, and there were times when you would even start feeling bad for the monsters! There wasn't a single person alive who hadn't seen at least one video of him demolishing a monster inside a Yellow Gate before!
These Vlogs were very popular with students all over the world, and it was one of the ways they decided on the Superhuman Ranks since superhumans weren't allowed to show their real power outside a Gate.
As the students watched the video, some other students were still talking about Jared.
"Did you hear about him joining that C Rank guild the other day? I heard he was just some sort of errand boy that goes to sell their crystals."
"I even saw him in the SMD building the other day running errands!"
"Shh~ he might hear you!"
"And? Doesn't he know that Jason is here? There's no way he's going to come here after getting his ass handed to him! And if he touches me, then I'll sue him for everything he has!"
"Jared is here!"
"What!?"
The students all turned to the door as one and they saw Jared standing there with a glare on his face. His hands were in his pockets and everyone around him immediately started to shift out of the way to make room for him! They all thought that he had heard the things that they said and was there to deal with them, but Jared was completely focused on Jason, and he walked passed the other students confidently.
Even though Jared just came in now, he was able to catch what Jason's classmates had been saying about him and it pissed him off that they were talking like that! Did they think Jason beat him or something!? Jason didn't even scare him, and if not for his lackeys pulling him back then he would have stood up to the bastard!
On the other side of the room, Jason was looking through a message from Gina on his phone. Gina said that she had finally left for the Red Gate, and Jason wished her good luck. He was about to leave to go for lunch when a figure appeared in front of him. Jason looked up from his phone and raised a brow at Jared. What the hell did this idiot want now?
"You think you're some hot shot now just because you're an A rank?"
These were the first words Jared spoke, and Jason could only watch in silence as Jared leaned forward to glare down at him. Jared's next words were spoken in a low tone so that only he and Jason would hear it.
"There are many types of power in this world, Jason. Physical power means nothing when compared with the power to destroy someone's life without lifting a single finger. If you think you can come here and embarrass me in my own fucking kingdom, then I'll ruin you and everything you love. I'll use everything in my power to make you suffer, and I won't stop till you're an outcast. Not even after you leave this school. My father's connection to the SMD will be enough to make sure that any guild you join will never get another Gate contract as long as you live. So if you know what's good for you, you'll fucking back off."
Jared turned to glare at Jason from his side. Jared knew that he had Jason in a chokehold. If there was one thing that every teenager feared, it was the possibility of being ostracized or cast out by the people around you. Being ignored offline and insulted online would be enough to make any youth fall into depression. And if there was one thing every superhuman feared, it was the possibility of never entering a Gate. Not being able to go into a Gate would be the same as never having any abilities in the first place.
The SMD mandated that no superhuman could use their abilities outside a Gate, and if they did, the Enforcers would come for them immediately! And if you couldn't use your abilities both inside and outside the Gate, then you were never going to grow stronger and it would be the same as never having an ability at all! Jared had used this same threat to bring many of the superhumans in this school under his power.
Jared could have chosen to do this anywhere, but he decided that the best place to speak out was in class where there were a lot of witnesses. That way, he would not only ensure that Jason couldn't attack him, but he would also have the chance to show off and make people realize that he wasn't actually scared of Jason.
Jared looked into Jason's eyes and he saw that Jason was still perfectly calm. No emotions were showing there at all, but Jared was certain that this was just a front. He was sure he wouldn't have any more issues with Jason from that moment. Jared leaned away after a few seconds and he started to walk out of the room with his hands in his pockets.
The students all around quickly moved out of Jared's way and they began to murmur the moment Jared left while wondering what the two of them spoke about!

Chapter 117: Shut Your Mouth
The students all around began to murmur the moment Jared left, and they looked at Jason while wondering what the two of them spoke about! Did Jared threaten Jason? Or did they both talk things out and decide on a truce? The rumour mill was already flying at a blitzing pace, but Jason had already tuned all of them out as only one thought echoed in his mind.
'What a fucking idiot.'
Jason ignored the bullshit from Jared and he turned to continue packing up his things. He was just glad Jared hadn't touched him. He didn't want to kill the bastard in front of so many people. Jason made his way out of class while ignoring the looks from the other students and he began walking towards the cafeteria down the hall. When he got there, he saw a crowd had formed at the door leading into the hall and he frowned before asking one of the girls there what was going on.
"Oh my god, Jason! I-I love—"
"I asked what's going on."
The girl's face blew up into a blush once she realized that it was Jason talking to her and she was one second away from declaring her love for him, but he cut her off and asked her the question again. Jason really didn't have time to deal with any fans and the girl nodded quickly before she explained.
"I-It's Jared. He's causing issues with that boy, Darren—Wait, where are you going?"
Jason already started walking away once he heard the first part of the statement and he shoved his way through the crowd of students so that he could get to the door! All the students immediately began to move out of the way to make space for him while murmuring loudly, and it didn't take long for Jason to reach the door.
The cafeteria was deathly silent as they all watched the four people standing in the middle of the room. Darren was standing at the side with a rumpled shirt and messy hair. He was staring at the floor with his hands tightened into fists and it was obvious that he was fucking embarrassed by what was going on. A few meters away from Darren, Fiona stood with wide eyes. She had been applying lipstick before things spiraled out of control but she had already forgotten about that and she was just holding on to the lipstick and watching the scene in stunned silence.
Jared was standing a few feet away from Darren with a heavy frown on his face. Water was dripping from his wet hair as he stared at the person standing in front of him with a glare. It was Griselda, the same girl that had spoken to Jason earlier. She was holding a glass in her hand and it was obvious that she had tossed her glass of water on Jared's head!
Griselda had been enjoying her lunch in silence when she saw the commotion happening between Jared and Darren. This wasn't the first time that Griselda saw Jared attacking Darren like this, but it was always petty and small so Griselda never bothered to get involved in the matter. They were both superhumans, so Griselda was sure that they would resolve their matter later. But for some reason, today seemed different from all the other days.
Jared wasn't just trying to extort Darren for money or force him to do his homework, Jared was actively trying his best to humiliate Darren. Jared made Darren get on the floor and he started resting his foot on his back like it was a footstool! He called him pork-stool and he was about to force him to start making pig noises so that the rest of the students would know he was a pig! It was disgusting and even though she would have never involved herself on any other day, Griselda couldn't sit by and allow something like this to go on.
She immediately carried a glass of water from her table, walked over to Jared, and dumped it right on his head. If he wanted to embarrass others, then she didn't have to hold back in embarrassing him too!
The look on Jared's face at this moment would have made even the toughest students run away in fear, but Griselda stood rooted in place by sheer force of annoyance! She wasn't going to allow this brute to intimidate her after what he had just done to Darren!
"You fucking bitch! Are you blind!?"
Jared cleaned the water dripping down his face and took a step close to Griselda. Griselda stepped closer to him as well with a glare! What was he going to do!? Hurt her!?
"You think you can hurt others without repercussions. Trying to embarrass your classmate like he isn't even human is a sign of your own inhumanity, and doing it in front of so many people is a sign of your cowardice! You fucking disgust me."
Griselda almost spat in Jared's face and Jared's hand tightened into a fist as he thought about hitting her immediately! His eyes glowed with a powerful yellow light and his teeth elongated as his gift began surging to life! Griselda smiled wickedly once she saw this!
"What are you going to do? Slap me? Kill me? Lay a single finger on me and I swear I'll ruin your life. Even if I die, I'll die with the satisfaction of knowing I took you down with me!"
Jared grit his teeth and growled something nasty behind his throat! He knew that Griselda was right. If he touched her here, then there was no way he would go scot-free. Not only was Griselda a regular human, but she was also the daughter of an executive member of the SMD. It would be like signing his death warrant if he laid a hand on her.
But he was just so fucking angry!? How could he let her go after she embarrassed him like this!?
Jared was trying desperately to hold back, but he felt all his anger dissipate when he heard murmuring coming from the other side of the hall. Jared looked up quickly and he felt his eyes widen when he saw who was standing there.
Jason was furious. His eyes were narrowed into glaring slits and there was a cold look of absolute fury marring his face. Jason pushed his way past the students who were standing in front of him and walked up to where the three students were standing together. Everyone shifted to make way for him without a word and it wasn't long before he stood right in front of Jared.
Jared glared up at him with a snarl.
"What do you think—"
SLAP!
The slap that suddenly impacted Jared's cheek echoed off the walls of the cafeteria like a fucking blarehorn! It resounded like a gong and made every single person there flinch back in shock! The girls gasped and even Griselda put her hand up to her cheek as she felt her eyes widen! That slap would have taken the head off a normal person!
Jared was staring at the side with wide, disbelieving eyes. His ears were ringing and there was a stinging sensation on his cheek that felt like someone had put molten lava against his skin! But none of that even registered to him at that moment! The only thing that rang through his head was the fact that he had been slapped. Jason just slapped him in front of the entire student body.
Jared's teeth clenched tight and he turned to Jason in anger!
"You—!"

Another slap echoed through the hallway and everyone flinched again at the sound! Jason took Jared by the shirt and held him up as he saw him stumble. Jason was holding back considerably at that moment, but the difference in strength between him and Jared still made it difficult for Jared to withstand the blows. Jason grabbed Jared's shirt and dragged him closer before speaking in his face.
"What did I tell you about messing with him again? Look at me. I said fucking look at me, you fool. Answer my questions or I'll slap you again. What did I tell you about messing with him?"
"Y-You think you'll get away—"
SLAP!
Another slap landed on Jared's cheek and there was another collective flinch from the students standing around the hall. The students all recognized Jason as the loner who only came to school at weird intervals and never bothered to get into trouble with anyone. But right now, they were seeing a new side of him that they had never seen before. Jason's actions shocked many of them, but that wasn't what really got to them.
It was Jason's calmness in the face of such brutality. Even though Jason was smacking the shit out of one of their own classmates, he had such a calm and easygoing look on his face! Like he was just dealing with a child rather than one of the most popular students in the school!
Many of them had pulled out their phones and were recording the entire ordeal, and there were some who were live-streaming on Metube and Gram! The comments and likes on these videos were going absolutely crazy and it was obvious that this would become big news before long!
Jason narrowed his eyes at Jared, and Jared struggled to look at him through the tears that were gathering in his eyes. Jason spoke up.
"I said answer my question. What did I tell you about him?"
Jared swallowed desperately before he struggled to speak.
"Y-You said... not to mess with him again."
"Good, so tell me. Do I look like a clown to you?"
"Wha—?"
Jason raised his hand and Jared flinched and shouted!
"N-No! No, you don't!"
"So why the fuck did you think I was joking? I warned you, Jared. I told you I wouldn't take your bullshit anymore and you thought your threats would be enough to scare me? Listen to me very carefully because I will never warn you again. I don't care if your father is the president of this country or the governor of the fucking moon. If I ever see you messing with any student in this school anymore, I'll come for you. And when I'm done with you, you'll never be able to step out of your house without shitting yourself. That's a promise. Now apologize and get the fuck out of my sight."
Jason tossed Jared back roughly and Jared stumbled to his knees in front of Darren. Darren stared down at Jared with wide, shocked eyes and when Jared shot a glare up at him, Darren swallowed in fear. For a moment, Darren thought about just running away, but then he looked at Jason and the sight of Jason's fearless posture gave him enough strength to stand his ground.
Jason spoke up.
"I'm not hearing a fucking apology, Jared. I don't have all day."
Jared grit his teeth and growled as he slammed his fist into the ground and left a small crater behind! The students close to him all held their breaths as they watched the scene play out like a fucking movie and Jared put his tongue between his teeth and thought about biting it clean off!
This humiliation was just too much for him to bear! As someone who always looked down on others, Jared was used to being on top, so being put on his knees like this and made to apologize to this fucking pig made his blood boil!
But Jared knew that he didn't have a chance against someone like Jason. Jared thought that his threats earlier would be enough to put Jason in his place, but it turned out that Jason just didn't care. Jared swore at that moment that he would get back at Jason for this humiliation! There was nothing that would stop him from killing this bastard!
Jared stared at the floor for a few seconds as the deafening silence in the hall threatened to crush him before he finally spat out one word.
"Sorry."
Smack!
Jason kicked him on the ass.
"Apologise properly, you idiot. You're sorry for what?"
Jared squeezed his hands into fists and he spoke through gritted teeth!
"I'm sorry... for b-bullying you. I won't do it again."
At that moment, Jared wanted to kill himself!
Jason turned to look at Darren with a calm expression and he asked him if that apology was good enough. Darren was too stunned to speak for the first few seconds and he just stared at Jason in silence as he wondered if this was actually happening, but he eventually snapped out of his shock and nodded quickly with a wide smile on his face!
"Yes, boss! It's alright!"
Jason gave the boy an easygoing grin in return before he turned around to walk away from the scene. But as he was leaving, his eyes landed on Fiona standing a few meters away and he gave her a look of disappointment. Jason already knew that Fiona wasn't the same person he had been friends with a few years ago, but he never thought she would stoop this low. It was pathetic.
Fiona saw the look on Jason's face and opened her mouth to say something, but Jason turned away from her before she could speak up and he continued walking. Darren quickly started to follow Jason while singing his praise and shouting his thanks, and the murmurs in the hall increased until all the students were practically shouting over each other in shock!
"Holy shit, did that just happen!? I can't believe it!"
"Jared actually apologized to someone! It's like the world is ending!"
"Did you see the slaps? I thought Jared's head would fly off!"
"Chat, can you believe we got this on the stream!? We actually got a fight between superhumans in our school before GTA six!"
"The dude's cheeks are still red! It's swollen like a fucking grape!"
The students were going absolutely wild as they watched the scene play out and many of them began to disperse when they heard the loud voices of the school teachers that were finally arriving on the scene!
The teachers were stunned at the sight that came across. Jared was on his knees in the middle of the cafeteria and his cheeks were redder than cherries! What the hell happened to him!? One of the teachers pulled some students aside to ask them what happened, and once the students narrated the incident, the teachers quickly went and called Jason for proper questioning.
Jason had been getting his meal when he was called, but he left what he was doing and went with them. The next few minutes were filled with question and answer sessions as well as a lot of sighs from the teachers. The teachers couldn't believe that Jason was already causing trouble on his first day back as a student, but there was nothing that the teachers could do to Jason, especially since there were so many witnesses that narrated how Jason was only trying to get justice for Darren.

The teachers were debating what to do with Jason when they were interrupted by the principal, Miss Harold. The principal told them to let Jason go since he still needed to eat lunch. They could deal with the problem on their own! Jason thanked her with a smile before leaving, and the principal quickly began discussing damage control! The parents were going to want to know what happened there, so it would be best if they sent out their own statement before the students began blowing things out of proportion with any fabricated stories.
As Jason walked back into the cafeteria, he immediately noticed just how quiet everyone got at his presence. Jason looked around at all the people staring at him with cautious awe, and he felt like sighing. This was exactly the situation that Jason tried to avoid when he decided to come back to school. He knew that his power would make him a prime target for Jared's stupidity, and Jason hoped he would be able to handle it without drawing so much attention to himself, but it was obvious that it wasn't meant to be that way.
Once Jason had seen Jared still bullying Darren in the cafeteria, Jason knew that nothing but complete destruction would be enough to make Jared back down. Jared was a virus that thrived on his own superiority and ego. As he was left unchecked for so long, that virus had spread and infected other students in the school, making the student body both fear and respect him in different measures. The only way to curb a virus was to introduce it to the antivirus.
And the best antivirus for an inflated ego was public humiliation.
Jason hadn't gone in without knowing what his actions would cause, but he decided that having a little bit of popularity was enough of a price to pay to make sure Jared stopped his bullshit. Jason walked forward while ignoring the stress from the students around him. Some of the students brought out their phones and started recording him, but he tried his best not to let that get to him. He was already used to having cameras pointed at him since he got his abilities.
There was a table at the end of the hallway where Darren was sitting with one other person, and Jason raised a brow when he noticed that it was Griselda. She had a prim and proper look about her as she ate gently, and when she noticed Jason's eyes on her, she looked up and smiled slightly. Darren waved Jason over enthusiastically while pointing to the empty seat beside him and the tray of food he prepared, and Jason went over to them.
Once Jason sat down, Darren quickly spoke up.
"I saved your meal and made sure no one messed with it, boss! I thought you'd be gone for the entire lunch break, but I was going to wait here till you came back anyway!"
"Thanks, Darren. I didn't think you two were close."
Jason gestured between Griselda and Darren, and Darren blushed slightly. Darren had been trying his best not to acknowledge the fact that such a beautiful girl was sitting next to him, but now that Jason had brought it up so casually, he suddenly felt embarrassed. Darren was really grateful to Griselda for helping him when Jared was bullying him earlier. If Griselda hadn't stepped in before Jason came around, then things could have been a lot worse for him. After thanking her, Griselda asked him if he was waiting for Jason, and once Darren said he was, Griselda sat beside him and decided to wait with him, and that was how they ended up in such a strange situation.
Darren spoke up while staring at the table.
"W-We aren't that close. I couldn't imagine being friends with such a beautiful girl. I mean, it's already amazing that she even sat this close to me. She's a 73-52-69, and I'm nothing but a large zero!"
Jason blinked, and then his brow furrowed in shock! There was no fucking way this bastard just called out Griselda's three sizes! The last part of Darren's sentence had been said in a very low voice so that only those with enhanced senses could hear it, so Jason knew Griselda didn't hear it. But Jason could easily tell that Darren had just announced Griselda's three sizes! How the hell did he get that!?
Jason gave Darren an incredulous look, and Darren chuckled in happiness as he was still enjoying sitting beside Griselda.
'It's impressive that he would tell all that from just looking at her, but this dude might actually be dangerous. I'll have to keep my eye on him in case he does something stupid.'
Jason sighed as this thought passed through his head, and then he spoke calmly while pointing his spoon at Darren threateningly.
"If you do that again, I'll tell her."
Darren's face turned ashen in pure dread, and he nodded quickly to say he understood! Jason just shook his head while digging into the food, but his eyes slowly drifted toward the girl watching him. Griselda had a smirk dancing on her lips as she rested her head on her clasped hands, and her gaze never left Jason's even for a second. Griselda was curious about what Jason and Darren had been talking about, but she didn't let it bother her since she was more interested in having a conversation with Jason.
Jason raised a brow at her and asked her what the hell she was smiling at. Griselda's smile widened as she spoke.
"Your display back there was fitting enough for someone who would be my future vice-captain. I knew I made the right decision for my first Guild member. You're only making it more obvious that I need to get you on my side by any means possible."
She was still on about this? Jason couldn't believe Griselda was still trying to get him to join her non-existent guild. It just didn't make sense for a regular human to be thinking of making a guild, and Jason was sure the only reason Griselda felt like she could do something like this was because of who her father was. But it didn't matter how well connected you were or who your parents were in the superhuman world, a guild was just too much for a regular human to handle.
Jason saw the look of pure excitement on Griselda's face and the way she looked like she was finally starting to achieve the dream that she had been nurturing for so long, and Jason decided he wasn't going to bother trying to discourage her anymore. If Griselda wanted to do something so dangerous, then she could go ahead and do it. The real world would teach her far more than he ever could.
And why the hell did she suddenly promote him from a regular member to a vice-captain? Jason chuckled at this thought and went back to his meal, but he stopped when he caught a head of blonde hair moving out of the cafeteria through the eastern door. Jason put his spoon down and excused himself from the table as he started moving quickly towards the exit.
Both Darren and Griselda were curious about what the hell had gotten into Jason, and Darren was about to ask if he could come along, but Jason didn't bother to wait for either of them to say anything and just vanished down the hall and out the exit. Jason made his way down the hallway while ignoring the murmurs and stares from the students who were loitering about, and he finally got close enough to the blonde girl and called out her name.
"Fiona."
Fiona startled once she heard someone say her name, and she turned around sharply! But once she saw who was there, she took a step back and her eyes narrowed at him as she wondered what the hell he wanted from her!

Fiona and Jason were currently standing in the middle of the hallway, so there were multiple other students who were standing around and watching them, but Fiona still didn't feel safe enough to let her guard down around Jason! After watching him humiliate Jared like that, Fiona wouldn't be surprised if he came here to do the same thing to her!
"What do you want?"
Fiona spoke in a guarded manner as she looked around. She was acting like Jason was about to hit her or something, and the people around began to murmur louder and bring out their phones as they watched the scene unfold. Jason clicked his tongue and spoke up calmly.
"Let's go somewhere private. I need to ask you something."
Fiona's eyes narrowed at Jason immediately! She didn't really feel safe going somewhere private with him, but Fiona looked around at the people who were trying to take pictures and videos, and she knew it would be worse to have whatever conversation they were about to have in front of so many people. Fiona turned to Jason and nodded slowly, and Jason began to lead her away from the crowd.
They walked for a few minutes and eventually got out of the building and into the garden on the western side of the school. There were a few lovers eating their lunch together on the grass, but there was enough space between them and the other students that they wouldn't have to worry about anyone hearing whatever was said. Once they were alone, Fiona folded her hands across her body in a tense gesture and gave Jason a hard look.
"Well...? We're alone now, so you can talk, right? What do you want? If this is about what happened with Darren, then don't even start. I didn't touch him, so you can't tell me I did anything wrong—"
Jason cut Fiona off before she could go off on a rant. He wasn't interested in wasting time on this conversation, so he wanted to get it done as quickly as possible.
"It's not about Darren. It's about your family's company. I want you to get me a meeting with your father."
Fiona's brow creased as she frowned. What the hell was Jason talking about? That was literally the last thing Fiona thought she would hear right now. He wanted to meet her father?
"Why?"
"Your family runs the Tenet company, right? The one that buys Magic Crystals from superhumans."
Fiona's expression slowly began to relax once she realized that Jason's reason for calling her out here was completely separate from what had happened inside the cafeteria. He was trying to talk about business. Fiona nodded to Jason.
"Yes, we run Tenet. But we don't just handle Magic Crystals. That's only a branch of the company. My older sister runs that branch."
"Alright, get me a meeting with her this weekend and tell her I have a proposal that she'd want to hear about. Show this to her and she'll understand what I mean. You can text me the time and date later."
Jason tossed a medium-sized Magic Crystal from an Adamantine Ant Soldier at Fiona, and she caught it out of the air quickly before looking it over with wide eyes. This was the first time Fiona would ever see a crystal this large, and she knew something like this would cost at least a couple hundred thousand dollars! And Jason was just handing it to her like some toy!? How many of these things must he have for him to be treating it so nonchalantly?
Jason turned around to leave, and Fiona felt her frown deepen! Normally, Fiona knew that a demand like this would never work on her sister. They ran a multimillion-dollar company, so it was unheard of for the head of the Magic Crystal department to be summoned by a newbie superhuman. But this single crystal would change all of that. With how confident Jason was, Fiona was certain that he had a lot more of these, and with the issues they were currently having in the company, Fiona knew her sister would definitely be interested.
But there was a small feeling of irritation that grew in Fiona's heart as she watched Jason walking away without even looking back once. Fiona had been glad when she realized that Jason wasn't going to be talking about anything personal between the both of them, but now that he was leaving so nonchalantly, she felt angry that he hadn't said anything to her personally. He just spoke about business and left like she didn't even matter!
Fiona took a step forward and called out,
"Hey, Jason..."
Jason turned around slightly and raised his brow at Fiona curiously. Fiona looked down at the ground as her frown deepened before she finally looked up at him and spoke softly.
"Earlier, in the cafeteria... I tried to stop Jared, really. He just didn't listen to me."
Jason's eyes narrowed before he shook his head.
"You don't need to explain yourself to me. I don't care."
And then he turned back around and left. Fiona bit her lip as she tightened her hands around the crystal. Her cheek lit up in an embarrassed blush and she looked around to make sure no one had seen the interaction before she finally left as well.

Jason made his way out of the school building after class with the eyes of multiple students following him. In fact, there were entire blog posts and streamers talking about whether or not it was right for him to go that far with Jared.
In the past hour alone, Jason had gotten more than ten emails from different television and internet hosts who were trying to get an interview with him. Jason ignored the messages just like he had been ignoring the messages from the many girls in his school who got his number somehow.
Even the messages from some top guilds had become more frequent than before! At this rate, Jason knew he would have to change his number very soon.
Ring~! Ring~!
Jason's phone went off and he picked up once he saw that it was Gina calling.
"Hey, babe. Are you done with the Gate?"
[Jason, the artefact you gave me was amazing! I killed ten Magical Beasts alone! Can you believe it!? The others hardly did anything at all!]
Jason chuckled at Gina's excitement. He was glad that she was able to use it well. He knew that the artefact would fit her perfectly since she was an emitter type.
"That's good to hear. Are you already on your way home?"
[Actually, I'm close to your school, so I thought I'd drop by and we can go back together. I left my car behind.]
"Cool, we just let out, so I'm on my way back. Meet me in the parking lot?"

Jason clicked the phone off with a grin and he suddenly turned when he heard a voice coming from the side.
"Boss! Over here!"
Jason turned to see that it was Darren who was calling him. Darren was standing in front of a car that had come to pick him up, and Jason felt his brow rise when he saw the logo on the car! It was a Rolls Royce Sweptail!

Chapter 121: Proper Alliances
Darren was standing in front of a car that had come to pick him up, and Jason felt his brow rise when he saw the logo on the car! It was a Rolls Royce Sweptail. Jason was someone who dealt with cars a lot in his time as a mechanic, so he had obviously heard about the car before! The Sweptail was extremely rare and could go for anywhere between ten and fifteen million dollars! Who the hell was driving this?
The Rolls Royce opened up, and Jason watched an older man come out of the car. The man walked up to Darren and put his hand on Darren's shoulder to calm him, and he turned to Jason with a smile as Jason approached. Once Jason was close enough, he could finally see the similarities between the man and Darren. They had to be related somehow.
The older man was named Ulysses White, and he was a retired stockbroker who belonged to the White family, a family that dealt with very old money. He was Darren's father, and it would be an understatement to say that he was shocked when he saw the video that was uploaded on the internet about Jared and Jason. Darren never told his father that he was being bullied in school, and he tried to always hide any bruises he got from Jared because he didn't want to worry the man.
But there was no way to hide the video that surfaced recently, and Ulysses immediately left everything he was doing and came to this school to meet with both Jared and Jason personally. Ulysses already spoke with Jared, and he assured him that he would be hearing from his lawyers very soon, but it was Jason whom Ulysses really wanted to meet. Jason had protected his son when no one else was able to, and to Ulysses, that meant a lot.
"Jason Marc. I've heard a lot about you from my son. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Ulysses stretched his hand out to Jason to take in a firm handshake. Jason made sure not to use too much power since it would definitely hurt the man, but Ulysses still grimaced a little from the force behind Jason's grip. Ulysses smiled slightly after they separated and spoke again.
"I saw your honorable feat on the internet, and I decided it would be discourteous not to meet with you in person. This son of mine might be a superhuman, but he has a soft heart. I feared he would be treated badly if I took him to an elite school to study, but I didn't know that the case would be the same even in a public school. I fear I've been too shortsighted as a father. You have my thanks for making me see the truth."
Ulysses gave Jason a small bow, and Jason shook his head. Jason was completely lost as to what Ulysses was talking about. The entire situation was absurd, and Jason decided he wouldn't get too involved in their personal family matter. But it was obvious just from the way Ulysses carried himself, as well as the car he had arrived in, that they were from a very rich family, and Jason decided that the least he could do was to have a good relationship with them in case he ever needed them in the future. There was more to power than just the money in your pocket or the strength you possess. The relationships you make with other powerful people around you also play a big part in how powerful you can become.
Jason spoke with a calm tone.
"I just did what I thought was right. Anyone else would have done the same thing."
Ulysses smiled gladly when he heard this and patted Jason on the shoulder once more before nodding. Ulysses had been worried that Darren would never find a good person to befriend, and he was glad that Jason was here now. Ulysses had looked into Jason's life and background, and he knew more about Jason than nearly anyone else in the world, so he knew that Jason was a good person who cared for those close to him. At least with someone like Jason looking out for his son, he didn't have to worry about the future.
Ulysses spoke up while gesturing to the car behind him.
"Come, if you are on your way home, then let me drop you off."
Jason glanced at the luxury car, and he felt a small part of him tell him to get in right now! It was a Rolls Royce for fucks sake! But Jason couldn't get in. He had his own ride, and he was also waiting for Gina.
"Thanks for the offer, but I actually have my own ride. And I'm also waiting for someone, so maybe some other time."
"Jason!"
A voice called out from the side, and they all turned to see Gina heading their way while waving happily. She was wearing a pair of jeans that hugged her legs tightly and a white tank top that left some of her midriff exposed. She also had on a black biker jacket that she had taken from Jason a long time ago and a black facecap. In her hand, she held a long staff that was wrapped in a black cloth.
Jason's face lit up once he saw her, and he turned back to the father-son pair when he heard Darren whisper in a shocked tone!
"An older girl!? And her proportions are in the upper 10th percentile! Boss, what a man you are!"
Darren's eyes sparkled with diamonds as he looked at Jason! Darren felt like he was standing before a god amongst men! Jason was only in high school, but he had already gotten himself a hot older girlfriend!? What a man!
Jason scoffed at Darren and turned to Ulysses when he heard the older man laugh slightly. Ulysses nodded to Jason while guiding his son away.
"I completely understand. At a later date, perhaps we can meet up and discuss more. Until then."
The Whites got into their car and left, and Jason watched the Rolls Royce drive off with some desire in his eyes. It was a really good-looking car, and Jason wouldn't mind having one of those in the future.
"Hey, babe. Did I interrupt something?"
Gina finally got to Jason while also looking at the Rolls Royce that was driving off. Jason shook his head before he reached out and pulled her closer before putting a kiss on her forehead. Gina blushed at his action, and she glanced around at all the people watching them. They were technically still on the school grounds, so a lot of students were milling about, and some of them were even pointing at Gina and Jason and whispering in hushed tones.
"Jason, people are watching."
"Let them watch."
"Jason!"
Gina hit Jason's chest in embarrassment and Jason chuckled as he finally let go of Gina's waist. Gina pouted a bit as she tried to fight down the blush that had risen on her cheeks! She knew that Jason was bold, but she wasn't used to such public displays of affection, so she was very embarrassed. Jason took her hand as they made their way to the parking lot. There were far fewer students here, so he leaned against his bike and pulled her close so she was standing between his legs before asking how the artifact performed.

Chapter 122: The Search
There were far fewer students around the parking lot, so Jason leaned against his bike and pulled Gina close so she was standing between his legs before asking how the artifact performed.
Gina pulled up the long black cloth and opened it to reveal that she had crafted the artifact into a staff. The staff was made from a gleaming white wooden material that had high mana-conducting properties. It was pre-made and sold at the SDM building, so all Gina had to do was buy it and then pay a craftsman to attach the artefact to the staff.
Gina spoke with a smile.
"It was really good. I couldn't even make more than seven arrows two days ago, but today I made more than fifteen at once! I shot at one of the Boss' subordinates and completely obliterated it! The guild captain was there too and he gave me a C Rank artefact that allowed me to see clearly for about five hundred meters around me so I could help everyone with sniping monsters from a distance. I think I'm really getting that vice-captain role!"
Jason grinned proudly as he heard about her exploits in the gate. He was glad that she was able to use it so well immediately. Jason pulled her down for a kiss and Gina happily kissed him while resting her hand on his shoulder. There weren't that many people here, so Gina wasn't as embarrassed as she had been before.
"Ah-hem."
A voice from the side alerted them to someone's presence and Gina pulled back like she had been burned! She turned to her left and her eyes narrowed slightly when she saw a girl standing there. Jason also turned to the newcomer and he raised a brow at her.
"Griselda. What up?"
Griselda gave a strained smile as she tried to comport herself, but Jason could see the small dust of red on her cheek that showed she was uncomfortable with how close he and Gina were. Gina gave Griselda a small frown for interrupting them, and Griselda first nodded to Gina in greeting before she spoke to Jason.
"I just wanted to remind you one more time to think about my proposal. I know you aren't interested in joining any guilds for now, but I'm sure you will benefit a lot from joining my guild once I establish it."
Gina's brow rose in surprise once she heard this, and she focused on Griselda intensely to try and see if she would feel any power coming off her body. There was nothing at all and Gina realized that Griselda wasn't a superhuman! Why the hell was a human talking about starting a guild?
Jason sighed softly but just nodded at Griselda. The girl was just too fucking persistent.
"I'll think about it."
That seemed to be enough for Griselda as she smiled happily and began walking to her car with a small skip in her steps. Once she was gone, Gina asked Jason what the hell that was all about and Jason just gave her a short explanation of how Griselda wanted him to join her guild no matter what! It was silly and Jason was sure that Griselda wouldn't even pass the screening required to start a guild, but he was humoring her for now.
Gina hummed in understanding and she couldn't help but feel a bit of respect for Griselda. It took a lot of grit to keep pushing forward for a dream even when the odds were so obviously stacked against you.
"Come on, let's get back home."
Jason stood and gave Gina another small kiss before the both of them got on his bike. Gina leaned forward and hugged Jason from behind and Jason smiled when he felt her breasts pressing against him. Her breath tickled his ear as she spoke softly.
"Seems you've gotten pretty popular, eh?"
Gina's tone was playful, but Jason could hear a small undertone of jealousy in there. It was obvious that Gina didn't like the way Griselda spoke to him so casually. Jason couldn't help but chuckle at her cute reaction as he put the bike in gear and took off.

[One Dimensional Leap Away from Earth]
Sniff~ Sniff~ Sniff~
A large dog-type Magical Beast with six legs and blackened eye-less sockets sniffed along the ground as it moved through an empty wasteland slowly! It had black skin and a large build that made it look like a large wolf rather than a dog! The dog was known as a Magic Hounds and they were a special breed of Magical Beast that were known for their extraordinary sensory abilities. This sensory ability allowed them to track down any trace of mana that they had locked on to even across Dimensions!
Behind the dog, a small group of masked men followed along at a sedate pace while keeping an eye out for any signs of a Dimensional Tear that they could move through. This small group of masked men were members of the Phantoms and they had already begun their search for the missing Radagan Princess. Before starting the search, the leader of the Phantoms, Alpha, had gone to Radagan and spoken to the current King of the Dragonborn in order to ask him for a piece of cloth or an artefact that had once belonged to the princess. Materials that once belonged to magic-wielders would always have traces of that person's mana on them.
The Magic Hounds were capable of tracking magical signatures, but before they could do that they needed to have something that had been drenched in the mana of the person being tracked! Once they had that scent, there was nothing that would stop them from finding you! Even if they had to move across more than five Dimensions just to reach you, they would be able to do it!
The king had given the Phantoms three of the princess's underwear and some other pieces of clothing to use, and even the Phantom leader, Alpha, couldn't help but laugh in slight amusement when she saw the large Magic Hounds sniffing the princess's panties to lock on her mana! It was such a perverted sight that it became unbearably hilarious!
Once the Hounds all had her mana, the Phantoms split into ten groups with each group using their own Magic Hound and they moved through various Dimensional Tears that were located in the region where the Princess had disappeared from. Any group that found the princess first would send a Magical Signal to the others and tell them where they were so that they would regroup and capture her.
This group of five men had appeared in this world after they passed through a random Dimensional Tear, and now they were already making their way to the next Dimensional tear they would need to go through. As they walked, the silence in the region was only disturbed at random intervals by their footsteps. The area they were walking through had once been a dense jungle, but erosion and war her torn it down and reduced it to a wilderness with barely any trees. It was completely devoid of other beings and the only sign that showed there was life there was the random cry of beasts from far away. The large Magic Hound continued sniffing the floor as it walked through the wilderness, but the Phantoms suddenly stopped in their tracks when they heard the sound of a Magical Beast coming from in front of them.
ROARRR!
The ground shook and rumbled as the beast approached and it wasn't long before it was visible from a distance. The Magical Beast was known as a Fidar. It was a large bear-like creature with four arms and multiple rows of jagged teeth that gleamed in the blue moonlight as it roared loudly!

ROARRR!
The Magical Beast was known as a Fidar. It was a large bear-like creature with four arms and multiple rows of jagged teeth that gleamed in the blue moonlight as it roared loudly! The beast had dark red skin with black marks running down the side and its eyes locked on the Magic Hound as it salivated hungrily! Just from looking at it, it would be easy to guess that the Fidar was almost strong enough to be an Eldritch Rank Boss from an Orange Gate! The Fidar's diet consisted of other Magical Beasts and the scent of the Magic Hound had attracted it from a far distance away! It was already prepared to kill all the phantoms so it could eat the Magic Hound!
The five men who were following behind the Magic Hound eyed the Fidar with sharp, empty eyes before they each reached behind them and grabbed different items! One of them brought out three balls and threw them on the ground and they exploded in smoke that covered the entire region and blocked the sight of the Fidar! Three of the men immediately ran forward as the Fidar roared in agitation and began to run towards them as well!
The three men watched the way the smoke moved around the Fidar and they were able to dodge the Fidar just before it could slam into them! The Fidar swiped through the air angrily and the three men all moved around the Fidar's swings without even trying! Their faces were covered with black cloths, but their exposed eyes were set in a look of perfect focus as they produced long binding wire from behind them!
The three men all threw their binding wire towards the Fidar! Two of them threw the wire at the Fidar's hands and the third man threw his wire towards the Fidar's neck and wrapped it in the tough thread before pulling it tight and locking the beast in place!
The Fidar immediately tried to pry the wire away with its extra arms, but it was forced to turn back to the front as it saw another man appear in front of it! This man ran towards the Fidar with unbelievable agility as he held a sharp sword to the side! The Fidar roared and tried to swipe the man out of the way with its extra arms, but the man easily leaped over the arm before ducking and under and second swing and finally vanishing into a shadow at the side! The Fidar's eyes widened in shock as the man vanished and it was unprepared for the man to suddenly appear from another shadow behind him!
SLASH!
The man left a long cut along the Fidar's back with his sword and the Fidar roared in agitation as it felt its back burn intensely! The men holding the Fidar down all planted their feet into the ground and held on tight as the Fidar began to thrash around angrily! The Fidar was on the same level as an A-Rank superhuman, but each of the men was also close to being an A-Rank, so they were capable of holding their own against the beast and preventing it from dragging its arm away!
The Fidar's fighting grew more and more frantic as it felt something strange happening in its body and it wasn't long before its fighting suddenly began to reduce in intensity. Once the men saw that the Fidar was slowing down, they released their binding wire and wrapped it up before moving to join the other man standing close to the Magic Hound.
The Fidar tried to attack the men again, but it was incapable of moving freely. Its vision was swimming and it staggered on its feet before it fell to the ground. Its breath came out in harsh puffs and its chest was barely moving as it struggled to force air into its lungs. These signs made it obvious that the Fidar had been poisoned! The single cut along the Fidar's back had already started to turn black and the five men led the Magic Hound to keep moving as they left the Fidar behind!
They knew that there was no way the Fidar would survive! Even though it was just a single cut, there was enough poison in that one cut to take down a high-level A Rank, so the common Fidar didn't stand a chance!
The men vanished into the distance and the Fidar simply lay on the ground motionless and paralyzed as it slowly died of the poison. It would take at least another hour before it finally died, but before it would even get the chance to do that, another beast living in the wilderness would find its defenseless body and attack it for food!
The five men and the Magic Hound made their way east and they finally arrived at the edge of a cliff. In the distance, a small town seemed to be in the middle of a festival as lights and voices echoed throughout the night, but the men ignored the festivities as they watched the hound for what it would do next. The hound sniffed the ground before it pointed its nose down the cliff, toward the water at the bottom. The men glanced from one person to another curiously before they decided not to doubt the Hound's instructions since it was their best tracker.
One of the men produced a special Magic Crystal and consumed it to unleash a massive blast of mana that surged through the region. The Magic Crystal was different from regular ones because it contained far more mana than a regular crystal and this allowed the mana density in the area to suddenly surge to unprecedented heights and force a Dimensional Tear to crack open just below the cliffside.
The five men and hound fell from the cliff and they vanished into the Dimensional Tear to continue their search.

[Jason's Apartment]
Jason had a look of concentration on his face as he watched the pot simmering on the stove. The sun had already set and Jason was busy making dinner for himself and Gina. Gina had asked if she could help him out but Jason knew that her being here would cause more harm than good, so he told her not to. And so Gina was in the sitting room looking through vacant houses on her phone while watching a soap opera that she had missed the previous day.
Jason's mind was only half-focused on the food in front of him while the rest of his consciousness was focused on the view he was getting from Fenrir outside his house.
Jason had sent Fenrir out once the sun set to keep an eye on the agent again, but surprisingly, Jason didn't see her no matter how much Fenrir looked for her. The agent was always staying exactly one kilometer away from his house to spy on him, but this time even when Fenrir went two kilometers away there was still no sign of her. The first thought that passed through Jason's mind was whether she finally gave up on spying on him.
But that didn't make sense. Jason hadn't done anything different from what he had been doing since she started watching him, so why did she leave?

The first thought that passed through Jason's mind was whether the agent finally gave up on spying on him. But that didn't make sense. Jason hadn't done anything different from what he had been doing since she started watching him, so why did she leave?
The only other explanation would be that someone else told her to back off and stay away from him, and Jason began to wonder what could possibly be happening in the world outside his knowledge. Jason knew he couldn't decipher anything about who was behind the agent unless they revealed themselves, so he decided not to let it bother him as he told Fenrir to keep an eye out for a bit longer in case anything changed. If the agent gave up, then it was better for him.
Jason finished preparing the food and took it out so he and Gina could eat together. They sat on the floor and ate while watching Gina's cheesy soap opera, and after they finished, they huddled up together with Gina sitting between Jason's legs and resting her back against his chest.
Jason's hand sneaked up into Gina's shirt as they watched the show, and Gina's cheeks reddened as he grabbed one of her breasts and fondled it softly. She wasn't wearing a bra, so his large hands easily found her nipple and pinched it between two fingers. Gina tried to keep her focus on the show while Jason played with her nipple, but it was becoming more difficult with every passing second!

He looked at the caller ID and raised a brow in surprise when he realized that he didn't recognize the number. Jason wondered if it was one of those guilds that had been trying to contact him and ask him to join them, or another reporter asking for an interview, and he considered not picking up at all. But then he shook his head. It might be something important, so he should answer it.
He picked it up and spoke calmly.
"Hello...?"
[Yes, hello. Please, am I speaking with Mr. Jason Marc?]
Jason hummed in response, and the person on the other end cleared their throat before speaking again.
[Pardon my rudeness for the late call, but I couldn't wait to contact you after my sister spoke to me. My name is Juliet Rapha, and I'm currently holding a large Magic Crystal that my sister said you gave to her.]
'Oh, that's Fiona's sister.'
Jason didn't remember giving his number to Fiona after they spoke, but he figured she would have it since they had once been friends. That explained how her sister got his number. Jason slowly pulled his arm out from Gina's shirt, and Gina turned to him in slight disappointment. Jason grinned at her and leaned back against the foot of the couch behind him while speaking.
"Yes, I gave her the crystal. Did she tell you why?"
Gina turned fully and knelt in front of Jason, and Jason watched as she crawled toward him slowly. There was still a blush on her face, and Jason held her waist gently as she pressed her chest against his own and planted a deep kiss on his lips.
[She told me that you were interested in selling some Magic Crystals through our company, but I wasn't able to get much from her since you didn't tell her more than that. If it's not too much to ask, could you tell me exactly how many crystals you'd be interested in selling?]
Gina pulled away from Jason a few seconds later with wet, swollen lips and Jason watched as Gina sat up and slowly took off her shirt. Her perky breasts bounced as her shirt flew off her head, and Jason swallowed hungrily as he watched them move hypnotically. Gina smiled at Jason when she saw the look he was giving her, and that only served to boost her confidence as she leaned down slowly.
Gina bent to Jason's waist, and Jason grunted softly as she began to unbuckle his trousers.
[Mr. Jason? Are you still there?]
"Yes, sorry, I was distracted for a moment."
Jason narrowed his eyes as he tried to remember exactly how many crystals he had left. He got just under four hundred crystals when he cleared the Orange Gate, and since then he had eaten about forty crystals. That meant he should have just over three hundred crystals. If he had to take a more precise guess, then he'd say he had about three hundred and fifty. But since he was going to eat a lot more of them, it'd be smart not to sell all of them.
"I have about three hundred Magic Crystals."
[What!?]
Juliet exclaimed in shock on the other side of the phone, and Jason grinned at her reaction before his eyes trailed down to Gina once again.
Gina was now lying on her stomach as she reached into his trousers and pulled out his member. Jason was already rock hard after everything that Gina had been doing to him all this time, and Gina looked up at him with a coy smile as she stroked him slowly. Jason put his hand on Gina's head as he watched her in a daze, and he let out a small grunt as Gina finally leaned forward and engulfed him!

Jason hummed softly in response as Gina reached for his balls and gently began to suck on them while still pumping his shaft. Jason had never wanted to end a conversation faster in his life.
[Can you tell me how you came about so many Magic Crystals, Mr. Jason? I-I'm not trying to insinuate anything, but I just need to gather more information before we can go forward with the deal.]
Jason responded easily.
"I understand you're curious, but I can't tell you anything else over the phone."
[Then would you like to meet? I'll be free tomorrow at noon. We can meet at a restaurant and hash out the details of the deal.]
"Sure, just text me the address."
[Yes, of course. Thank you.]
Jason didn't bother to say anything more as he quickly cut the phone off and looked down with a narrowed gaze, and Gina glanced up at him innocently while slowly taking his member in her mouth again and sucking it hard!
