STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC196: Picking Sides
Chapter 196: Picking Sides
Riyala hadn't put on anything under her nightgown because she couldn't find any in the clothes that were salvaged from the fire. She thought that the nightgown was dark enough to cover her properly, but it obviously wasn't! She immediately hugged her hands around her body in embarrassment and ducked her head!
What was really causing problems was the fact that Jason was still not wearing a shirt, so Riyala had been staring at Jason's body since she saw him earlier, and she couldn't deny that she found it very attractive! This was the first time she would ever think in such a way about any man, so she had no idea that it would make her react like this! Jason threw his towel over his shoulder and turned around.
"Be ready in an hour."
Riyala turned in surprise and asked Jason what she had to be ready for. Jason raised a brow at her.
"You said you wanted to come, right? So be ready in an hour."
Riyala's mouth immediately split into a happy smile, and she happily jumped to her feet to hug Jason!
"Thank you! Thank you! I promise I won't hold you back!"
Jason hummed while patting her on the back, and then he said,
"You should really put on something else."
Riyala let out a shriek and flew back immediately! She put her hand over her face and quickly dashed up the stairs while screaming,
"I'm sorry!!"
...
[The SMD Building]
In the large conference hall in the SMD building, twenty stakeholders who were all high-ranking members of the government were seated around a large table as they listened to Liam's speech about what had happened earlier with Jason. Liam had been swamped with work for the past few hours, and it showed from the slight frown that was stuck on his face. The issue with former Director Millicent, as well as the current task of finding and apprehending members of one of the higher-ranking guilds in the country, was really taking its toll on him!
"...And that is what he said to me. Jason is willing to give us till tomorrow to find and apprehend the criminals, after which he will take action. I don't know what sort of action he is going to be taking, but from what I've seen, he isn't planning on taking anyone alive—"
"And why should we be listening to the orders of some rookie S Rank?"
One of the men seated at the table leaned forward with a frown after hearing everything that Liam had to say! The mere thought that there was a superhuman out there who thought he could order the SMD around irritated them! They were the ones who gave out orders to the superhumans, not the other way around!
Liam released a sigh while glancing at the door. There was a bed somewhere out there with his name on it, but he first had to deal with this entire situation! Liam spoke with as much respect as he could manage.
"Sir, it would be wise to remember that this 'rookie' S Rank was only an A Rank a week ago. And after seeing the things that he could do, it is in our best interest to maintain good terms with him. He is a rational person, and if we manage to resolve this incident while keeping our relationship secure, then it will be very beneficial for the SMD."
Another voice spoke up. This time it was an older man with a long beard and narrowed, wise eyes. He said:
"And what about the BloodRaven guild? Unlike this newbie, the BloodRaven guild has been with us for the better part of ten years now. Would you say that it is wise to risk antagonizing a guild of that level and prestige just for a single superhuman? It makes no sense."
The other executives in the room all voiced their agreement at different levels.
"Yeah, it makes no sense!"
"We shouldn't get rid of BloodRaven! Do you know how much money they make for us every year?"
"If we arrest the strongest Supporter and remove her from the country's roster, then we'll suffer large damage! The other five great countries will start looking at us like fools! How can we give up someone who boosts our country's image and prestige just because of one mistake?"
The voices were starting to get louder and more assured of themselves and Liam had to fight off a headache from all the noise. He closed his eyes and counted to five to try and get rid of all the anger and irritation in his heart before he finally sighed and reopened his eyes to speak.
"Yes, I understand that BloodRaven served as a powerful pillar for the country. They boost our GDP significantly from all the Magic Crystals that they sell to us, and their guild master, Katarina Ford, is one of the most powerful women in the world. But I believe it would be much more detrimental for the country if we choose Katarina Ford over Jason Marc."
The entire room broke up in questions from all the executive members! Accusations and expressions of disbelief could be easily heard over the other shouting voices and for a second, Liam even debated calling security to take everyone out of there, but then he remembered that one of these men paid his salary and he sighed and calmed himself once again. He couldn't get angry here! He just had to get through this meeting and he would be able to get some sleep!
Liam waited until everyone had finally stopped screaming before he spoke up.
"My opinion about Jason Marc and Miss Katarina is grounded in the facts of what we have seen. Madam Katarina is strong, and she possesses masterful control over her gift that allows her to perform great feats, but that can also be said for Mr. Jason. He not only possesses a potential that is greater than anything we've ever seen from a superhuman before, but he also has the fighting power of hundreds of other monsters sitting at his command. Jason Marc is a necromancer, and that alone should tell you how powerful he is. The dragon we saw on screen was only one of his summons, and although he had declined to reveal more about his power, there is no denying that he has many more monsters at his command."
"So you're sure that he is stronger than Katarina? From what I heard recently, Katarina managed to raise the power level of her entire guild by 50% the last time she went all out. That is better than any other supporter alive."
Liam nodded.
"I am not saying we should remove her from service completely. All I am saying is that we should throw our weight behind Jason Marc since it will benefit the government more in the long run."
Liam eyed the seated executives calmly to gauge their reactions. Liam knew that there was a lot riding on the choices they made here, so he was making sure to pick his words carefully so that they would make the right choice. Liam couldn't use sentiments like 'justice' with this group of people. If Liam had said that they should back Jason because Katarina had tried to kill him, then the executives would have said that it was nonsense and they would have just dismissed it since they didn't have any proof other than Millicent's words.
But by framing the situation the way he did, Liam was making sure the executives would pick the right side. One of the executives, a man that was respected as a former governor, stood up and spoke.
"I trust your judgment, Liam."

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC197: Den of The Falcon
Chapter 197: Den of The Falcon
"I trust your judgment, Liam. If you believe that Jason Marc will be a more beneficial ally than Katarina, then you have my blessing to go in and apprehend her."
Once that person agreed, the other members of the executives also began to reluctantly agree. They couldn't go against the words of the former governor, so they had no choice! Liam felt relief fill his heart when he saw that he had finally won the group over, and he thanked them all gladly before leaving quickly to go and mobilize the Enforcers.
——
[With Jason and Riyala]
"Do you have everything you'll need?"
Jason asked Riyala this question as they stood side by side outside the bustling city of New York. Right now, Jason and Riyala were standing out of sight in an alleyway, and Jason was looking at Riyala curiously while waiting for her to check and make sure she had everything. Riyala was wearing the [Veil of the Hollow Star], a cloak-type artefact that Jason had given her, with her hood pulled up, and she also had the [Radagan Sundrop] necklace that gave Riyala a hundred percent boost to all fire-based attacks. Meanwhile, Jason was only wearing the [Elemental Shield] cloak-type artefact that covered half of his face from view.
Riyala nodded with a serious expression on her face, and Jason couldn't help but crack a small smile when he saw how tense she was at that moment. It was obvious that she was nervous, but she was trying her best to put on a brave face. Unlike Jason, Riyala had never willingly walked into a battlefield before, so this would be the first time for her.
Jason reached into his Alternate Dimension and brought out a necklace that he handed over to Riyala.
——
Ashen Embercore [Rank B – Pendant]
Durability: 90%
Description: Reduces the mana cost of fire spells by 20% and causes them to burn twice as long.
——
The necklace was another fire-boosting artefact, so now Riyala had a primary stack of 120% in her fire-based abilities, and the flames would also burn for twice as long as before, so the damage would also last longer! Jason wouldn't be able to keep an eye on her all the time inside the Gate, so he needed her to at least have enough firepower to protect herself until he came around to help her.
Riyala's flames were around the same level as a mid-level B Rank superhuman without any boosts, but now that she had the necklaces, she would be somewhere in the low A Ranks. And since she also had the coat that provided her with some more protection, Jason was sure that she would be fine.
Riyala reached for the necklace and struggled to put it on, but it was difficult since her hands were shaking from nervousness. Jason finally decided to help her out and told her to turn around as he easily clicked the necklace into place. Once he was done, he asked Riyala if the necklaces were uncomfortable, and she shook her head with a small blush on her cheeks. Riyala knew that Jason didn't put any meaning behind the things he did for her, but she couldn't stop her heart from beating strongly whenever she was close to him.
Whenever Jason touched her, it was like her skin was burning under his touch, and she cursed herself for feeling like this! The laws in Radagan were very different from Earth, so Riyala didn't see anything wrong with a man practicing polygamy, but Riyala could tell that Jason wasn't trying to make a move on her, so she refused to make a move on Jason while he was in such a vulnerable state. Jason's mind was not in the right place since he was focused on saving Gina, so she would be a fool to try and draw his interest now!
'I just wish I could stop feeling like this whenever we're alone.'
Riyala put a hand over her heart while looking down in guilt.
[The user has arrived at the Orange Gate.]
This message suddenly appeared in Jason's system, and he held his hand out as an orange key appeared in his palm. Jason told Riyala to stick close to him before he walked forward to where the system directed him and placed his hand against the wall of the alleyway. The wall rippled like water under his palm, and he sent one last glance to the side before he and Riyala walked through the dimensional tear.
——
A harsh wind blew across Jason's face, and Jason immediately squinted in irritation as he felt intense sunrays attempting to blind him! It was so fucking bright!
[The user has successfully crossed into the Orange Gate [Den of the Iron Blade Falcon]. Kill the Falcon Boss and clear the Gate in order to complete the mission.]
"Wow, we're so high up!"
Riyala exclaimed in awe as she looked around at the clear skies surrounding them! Jason and Riyala had appeared on a high platform that floated amongst the clouds. The sky above was blue and brightly lit, and there were many other stone platforms that were littered around the area like floating pencils made of rock.
Jason pulled up the collar of his cloak with a scowl as another harsh wind blew across the region and made his cloak flutter. Riyala was enjoying herself and looking around happily, but Jason could only frown as he looked around critically and tried to find any signs of life. This was an Orange Gate, so Jason knew that the monsters here wouldn't pose much of a threat to him. The Boss subordinates would only be on the same level as his Pawn Rank II subordinate, while the Gate Boss might be on the same level as a Rook Rank I subordinate. At least that was what Jason was able to predict based off what he had seen in his previous Orange Gate.
'It's a sky-based landscape, and the monster was called the Iron Blade Falcon, so I'll be at a disadvantage if I use land-based monsters to fight. I'll have to start off with the Adamantine Ant Scouts and Soldiers, then I'll use Raya and Ragnar to take down as many as possible. As I kill and resurrect more of the monsters, I'll be able to gain the advantage.'
Jason started to come up with a plan while glancing around to make sure that they were not caught off guard by a surprise attack. Jason knew that there were monsters out there that could sense you the moment you entered their domain, so it was possible that the Iron Blade Falcon already knew that Jason was here and they were just waiting for the right moment to attack.
Jason immediately activated his [Predator's Gaze] as well as [Mana Sense], and Riyala turned to him in surprise when she felt his mana spread out across the landscape like a sonic ripple. Jason was silent for a few seconds as he tried to see if there were any monsters around, and he suddenly turned towards the west when he sensed five creatures coming in their direction!
"Ragnar! Raya!"
Jason called out immediately, and the two Rook Rank II monsters appeared from Jason's Alternate Dimension in all their glory! Ragnar released a loud roar into the air as he spread his wings wide, and Raya screeched as she snapped her mandibles and stretched in preparation for battle! Jason moved towards Ragnar and told him to lower his neck, and Jason got on first before he called out to Riyala.
"What are you staring at? Come on!"
Riyala had been staring at the giant dragon in surprise! This was the first time that she would be seeing Ragnar, and she couldn't believe that Jason had a monster like this! Did he get it from the Dragonrider who tried to kill her earlier? Riyala didn't know how to feel about Jason killing dragons since she saw them as sacred creatures in her world, but Riyala couldn't feel too bad since she knew that the dragon had tried to kill her! If Jason hadn't killed it, then she wouldn't be standing here right now.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC198: Falcon Missiles
Chapter 198: Falcon Missiles
Riyala jolted out of her shock when Jason called out to her and she quickly moved toward him! Jason told Riyala to give him her hand, and Riyala let out a small sound in shock as Jason pulled her up with no effort at all, and she was placed on the dragon's nape just behind him! Jason ordered the beasts to take off, and Riyala had to quickly wrap her hand around Jason when she almost fell off the dragon!
There was a huge blush on Riyala's cheeks, and she tried her best not to make it obvious that she was very embarrassed to be in this position.
'Things are different on Earth. I can't blame him. He doesn't know!'
These thoughts were going through Riyala's head continuously as she held onto Jason! Jason hadn't put any thought into making Riyala ride with him, but for Riyala, there was a lot more meaning in them riding together! In Radagan, a Dragon or Wyvern companion was seen as an extension of a Rider's body. A Rider was expected to form a mental and physical link with their partner, so the Rider could feel what they felt, and their pain would affect the Rider too. So, because of how intimate the relationship between the beast and the Dragonborn were, male and female Dragonborn were not allowed to ride together unless they were either married or betrothed to be married. This was done as a way to respect the bond between the beast and the riders, and it was also a way to strengthen the marriage by making your partner's familiar accept you as one of its own. So Jason taking her on a dragon like this immediately made Riyala's heart start racing as unwanted thoughts filtered through her mind!
Riyala was already used to riding dragons and wyverns, so she wasn't afraid of how high up they were, but she couldn't help but feel like she would fall just from how fucking embarrassed she was!
Jason, meanwhile, was completely unaware of what was going on in Riyala's mind. Instead, his gaze was fixed on the figures that were approaching from ahead. There were five of them, and he could see them as red outlines through his [Predator's Gaze]. Jason sent the image to Raya and Ragnar so that they would know the direction of the monsters as well, before he started to give orders.
'Raya will go in first and draw their attention. I want to know how strong they are, so try to focus your attack on only one of them. Ragnar, you'll hang back for a few seconds until I see what I want. Once Raya kills one, you can incinerate the rest of them.'
Ragnar let out a huff of smoke once Jason was done with his order, and Raya screeched excitedly as she broke off from their formation and began to fly ahead of them! Ragnar let out another huff, and Jason was able to recognize it as a warning towards Raya! Ragnar was telling her not to mess up the plan or lose to anyone, and Jason grinned when he heard Raya scream back that she would never lose to any of these small fry! In fact, she was going to kill all of them and show Ragnar that she didn't need him!
Jason shook his head at their antics. If not for the fact that they were completely different species, Jason would have sworn that these two were siblings. They were always fighting over the most useless things!
'Focus on the plan, Raya. Don't go overboard.'
Jason gave a simple order to Raya, and she screeched back in confirmation before taking off again to intercept the beasts! Jason switched his sight from the Predator's Gaze to the [Eye of the King] so that he could see through the eyes of his subordinate, and as Raya got closer, he was able to get a better view of the falcons that were coming towards them! The falcons were just as intimidating as you would expect a monster from an Orange Gate to be. They had white feathers that glistened under the bright sunlight, and their eyes were a piercing red that seemed to glare at everything around them with intensity!
Jason narrowed his eyes as he tried to get a better look at them, and he hummed in curiosity when he saw that the falcons' feathers weren't feathers at all! Each of them was sharpened and pointy, and they looked more like bladed weapons than feathers. Was that why the system called them Iron Blade Falcons? That was a little on the nose, wasn't it? Jason smiled slightly at his own joke, but he felt his smile disappear as the falcons began growing larger and larger as they approached! The falcons had each been the same size as the Pawn Rank I moonlight wolf subordinate when Jason first saw them, and he already thought that they were large for magical beasts, but as they got closer, Jason realized that he had seriously underestimated their actual size! The falcons were huge! Each one of them was half Raya's size, and when they spread their wings out, their size quadrupled and made them seem larger than the adamantine Ant Queen!
"Are these really just subordinates? If they're this large, then how big will the Boss be!?"
Jason couldn't stop his thoughts from wandering curiously, but he shook his head and decided to focus on the moment. It didn't matter how large they were! As long as they were only subordinates in an Orange Gate, Jason was sure that they would never be stronger than Raya! Not only was Raya the Boss of an Orange Gate, but she had also been seriously buffed by the increased defenses that came with being a Rook Class Subordinate!
Raya let out another screech as she finally came into view of the large falcons! The falcons were stunned to see her there, and they looked from one to another to try and form a plan in their minds! In the end, they decided that Raya was just another enemy that they had to kill, and they began to move into formation! All five falcons let out loud cries once they saw her, and Jason watched in surprise as they flapped their wings hard and took off into the sky above Raya! Raya screeched and followed after them immediately, and Jason just watched to see what the falcons would do!
Raya was one of Jason's strongest monsters, but that didn't mean she was the fastest in the air, and Jason could immediately tell that the falcons were all faster than Raya! The falcons moved far ahead of her and reached high into the clouds before they all turned around and narrowed their bodies into a more aerodynamic shape! Jason's eyes widened slightly as he was able to immediately tell what the falcons were about to do! They were going to perform a sky dive! The falcons were all fitted with multiple bladed feathers that were many times harder than steel, and when they narrowed their bodies, they were able to put their feathers forward in a way that made sure the blades were all pointed towards Raya!
WOOSH!
The falcons fell from the sky like missiles, and Jason watched as they slammed into Raya from different angles! Raya let out a loud screech in anger from the attack, and she snapped her mandibles towards one of them, but they were moving so fast that she wasn't able to get anyone before they passed her quickly! The falcons spread their wings and immediately stopped their descent before they let out another cry as they began ascending for a second attack!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC199: Raw Disaster
Chapter 199: Raw Disaster
Jason looked towards Raya to see just how much damage the attack had done, and Jason saw that there were large scratches along Raya's body that would have been bleeding if she were a regular monster.
'They're somewhere around the same power level as a Disaster Rank Red Gate Boss, but they were able to cause this much damage to a beast that's stronger than an Eldritch Rank Orange Gate Boss? That's like a B Rank making an A rank bleed with a single punch. They might be weaker than Raya, but they're much smarter. Using their body to attack like that is freaking genius.'
Jason was undeniably impressed by the way the Falcons were fighting! The falcons knew that they weren't strong enough to stand up to Raya, so they were using another method to even the odds! This was the first time Jason would think that a monster was actually smart! But even though the falcons were extremely resourceful, that didn't mean that they would be able to cause trouble for Raya every time. They managed to catch Raya off guard the first time because she had never seen their attack before, but now that she knew what they were about to do, she was able to quickly charge in for her own attack!
Raya dashed to the side as the falcons began their new ascent, and she slammed her body into one of the falcons as it passed her! The falcon released a loud cry in anger as it tried to use its bladed wing to cut Raya, but Raya's skin was so tough the blade only caused sparks to fly as they scratched along her adamantine armor!
Raya used her mandibles to grab the falcon's wings and the falcon tried to get away by flapping its other wing roughly! The other falcons carried out another aerial attack as they flew down to attack Raya, but their attack was ignored this time since Raya knew they couldn't hurt her! Raya held on tight to the falcon she had caught and she swung her head from side to side a few times before finally snapping her mandibles close and tearing the falcon's wing apart! The falcon let out another cry in pain as blood flew across the air, but Raya didn't allow it to rest as she grabbed it again and left a cut along its body that was large and deep enough to kill it!
The falcon's cries died out, and Jason grinned as he heard Raya screech in victory!
——
The user has killed [1] Iron Bladed Falcon Hunter
+70 Kill Points
——
Jason immediately sent a message to Raya and told her to fall back! He'd gotten the information he needed from the falcon, so they didn't need to keep handling them one by one! Jason then put his hand out toward the falcon that had just been killed and called out:
"Resurrect!"
A pulse of mana surged through the region as Jason's mana grabbed hold of the falcon's soul, and all the other falcons stopped their attacks and watched in shock as their comrade's soul was dragged out from its body! The resurrected falcon let out a loud cry that shook the sky, and a new notification popped up in Jason's system tab!
——
The user has gained [1] Pawn Rank II Subordinate
+30 MP
+0.1% Strength
+0.2% Stamina
+0.5% Agility
+0.5% Durability
The user has gained the E Rank Skill [Iron Blade]
——
[Iron Blade: This skill allows the user to strengthen bladed weapons by sending his mana through them. These weapons can be used for short or long-range attacks. The strength of bladed weapons depends on the skill rank.]
This skill is evolveable.
To evolve this skill, please gain more [Iron Bladed Falcon] subordinates.
——
Jason raised a brow at the new skill. Ranged weapons? Jason hadn't seen the falcons use their blades for a ranged attack yet, so he was wondering why the system would tell him that he could use his own blade for a ranged attack. The only explanation for the skill would be that the falcons hadn't shown all their abilities yet!
The falcons that had been attacking Raya to try and free their comrade were shocked when they saw Jason resurrecting it and they decided that this wasn't a fight they wanted to be a part of! It didn't matter how powerful or smart a creature was; seeing your enemy resurrect one of your allies from the dead was enough to put fear into the heart of anyone! The falcons all turned and began to try flying away! Raya let out a screech as she chased after them, and one of the falcons turned around sharply and flapped its wings harshly towards Raya!
Shink!
Three bladed feathers flew out from the falcon's wings like arrows, and Raya had to quickly move out of the way to avoid being struck by the projectiles! Jason hummed when he saw this and gained a small grin as he realized that this was the skill the system had been talking about! So not only were the falcons good at melee battles, but they were also skilled at long-distance attacks! These had to be some of the best aerial fighters Jason had ever seen!
'Move out of the way, Raya!'
Jason sent a mental command to Raya and Raya quickly began to fly off to the side to give Jason room! Jason put his hand on Ragnar's neck and ordered him to take out all the falcons! Ragnar roared into the air as he flapped his wings and blasted after the falcons! Ragnar was far faster than both Raya and the falcons, so he was able to catch up to them before long, and once he was close enough, he reared his head back and let loose a blast of raw disaster!
ROARRR!
The falcons looked back in shock as they felt the intense heat gaining on them and they weren't able to even move out of the way before they were engulfed in the flames! Ragnar's attack was far greater than what the iron-bladed falcons could withstand, so Jason wasn't surprised when he saw their blackened and scorched bodies falling out from the flames at the same time that a notification popped up in his system!
——
The user has killed [4] Iron Bladed Falcon Hunters
+280 Kill Points
——
Jason quickly called on more of his subordinates and four Pawn Rank II Adamantine Ants flew out from his alternate Dimension and went to catch the falcons before they would fall too far! Jason put his mana out towards them and gave the command:
"Resurrect."
All four falcons pulsed with Jason's mana before their souls were dragged out from their bodies and they released loud cries into the air as they spread their wings and began to fly around Jason excitedly.
——
The user has gained [4] Pawn Rank II subordinates
+120 MP
+0.5% Strength
+0.8% Stamina
+1.5% Agility
+1.5% Durability
The E Rank skill [Iron Blade] has grown stronger
——
The Adamantine Ants carried the bodies of the dead falcons towards one of the pillars that were floating in the sky and they put them down before they began ransacking the bodies to retrieve the crystals! Jason left them to work on that as he ordered Ragnar to take him to another pillar so that he could go through the memories of the falcons. Ragnar went to land on a platform at the side and all four falcons landed around Ragnar excitedly! Jason was still surprised by just how large they were. Even though Ragnar towered over them by a significant margin, they were still tall enough to make most of the other Pawn Rank IIs look small!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC200: Innocent Enthusiasm
Chapter 200: Innocent Enthusiasm
Jason slid off Ragnar with Riyala and he watched as one of the Falcons went over to Riyala and began to poke her with its beak. Riyala gained a wide smile as she pet the falcon on the head, and she then hugged its neck happily when it got closer to her! The falcon released a loud 'caw' as it tried to get away from Riyala, but Riyala just laughed as she managed to calm it down easily and continued petting it. Riyala's ability to make friends with beasts still impressed Jason even now. Most of the beasts that Jason got as subordinates liked Riyala immediately!
Jason turned to one of the falcons and told it to explain the layout of the Gate to him, and the falcon sat on the floor and immediately began to send its answers directly into Jason's mind. According to the falcon, this nest was ruled over by a ruler known as the Skyking. The king resided on a platform in the center of the Gate, and it was his job to command and control all the other falcons. There were just under a hundred falcons living in this colony. Seventy of them were in charge of hunting. They would go out every morning to survey the dimension's sky and floor, and they would bring back any big or small game that they caught for the colony to enjoy.
Thirty of the falcons were in charge of battle and fighting against external threats. These falcons were larger and more dangerous than the hunters, and they hardly left the main nest since that was where the skyking resided. The sky king himself lived alone, and only worthy females were allowed to enter his cave when it was time to mate. He ruled the sky with an iron fist, and there were no other falcons capable of standing up to him.
In fact, most of the falcons that were hunters or warriors had been fathered by the sky king. There had been other falcons that tried to take the sky king's throne away from him before, but the sky king was such a mighty warrior that none of the other monsters were capable of standing up to him! His wings were made from a lustrous silver, and all his feathers were like blades that had been sharpened for centuries! He was so strong that he could kill any opponent without even trying!
"So it's like a dynasty ruled by a sovereign."
Jason hummed while absentmindedly petting the head of the falcon that had been speaking to him. The falcon released low purrs as it enjoyed Jason's action, and Jason was surprised when he realized that the falcon's feathers were extremely soft to the touch. How in the world were they able to use these things as weapons if they were this soft?
Riyala noticed Jason's confused expression as he stared at the feathers and immediately spoke up when she realized what he was thinking about.
"The feathers are really soft, aren't they? It's because the feathers are like mana conduits. The Iron Bladed Falcon can make their feathers very hard when they send mana through them, so when they are outside of battle, the feathers feel soft since they don't put any mana into them. If you tell them to send mana through thier body, then they'll become as hard as dragonsteel."
Jason hummed at her explanation and stroked the head of his falcon once again. That was a good way to preserve mana, especially for a creature that didn't have a lot of it to begin with. You could just keep your defenses off until you actually needed them. But it was also a very easy way to become a victim of surprise attacks. If the falcon was attacked before it could put mana into its feathers, then it would have no chance of blocking the attack.
Jason turned to Riyala again and asked,
"You know a lot about Magical Beasts, don't you?"
Riyala blushed at Jason's words and stared down at the ground while talking with a small smile.
"I always liked animals, so my teachers taught me everything they could. I like how all the Magical Beasts create different ways to survive in each environment. Like the Iron Bladed Falcon; their feathers will change color based on their terrain. These ones are white so they can reflect sunlight easily and avoid overheating, but the falcons in the Sinking Deserts of Frula are brown so they can blend into the sand, while the ones that lived in the frozen Nightmare Castle in Raksha were pitch black because they weren't the apex predators and they needed to hide from other Magical Beasts, and—oh... sorry..."
Riyala's cheeks burned even brighter when she realized that she had started talking too much again! She was always like this when talking about the Magical Beasts! It was like she couldn't control her own tongue! Jason chuckled slightly at Riyala's embarrassment and told her that it was okay. It was good that she was so enthusiastic about what she had learned!
Riyala smiled happily when she heard what Jason said, and she let out a cute cry when the falcon behind her suddenly poked her bum with its beak! Riyala turned to it with tears in her eyes, and once she saw that it was clucking in amusement, she immediately grabbed it around the neck and began play-wrestling with it.
Jason ignored the two of them as he saw his Adamantine Ants coming back with the crystals that they had taken out for the falcons. There were five in total, and they were mid-sized stones that would go for about a hundred and twenty thousand dollars each. That meant he was holding a total of six hundred thousand dollars in his hand. Jason eyed the stones closely before he shrugged and threw all of them into his mouth.
'I'm consuming a small fortune each time I do this.'
——

Jason read through the new notification that popped up and nodded internally at the improvements. Jason knew that six hundred thousand dollars was a lot of money, but it meant nothing in front of the benefits that came with consuming the crystals. Jason needed to get stronger as quickly as possible, and he decided that he would at least reach SS rank before going to fight the Lich.
If Jason wanted to do that, then he would need to use every avenue available to him. It didn't matter if he had to consume a hundred million dollars worth of Magic Crystals. He would do it without a second thought! At the side, Ragnar saw Raya getting a bit too close to it, and it let out a fiery huff that scorched Raya's behind! Raya screeched and immediately went in to try and beat Ragnar up, but Jason told both of them to quit their fighting immediately! Raya let out a sad cry as it skittered back with an apology, and Ragnar huffed again as it lay back down! Jason released a calming sigh as he folded his hands and allowed his mind to wander as he came up with a plan for their attack.
The falcon told him that there were seventy hunters and thirty warriors. The hunters left the nest regularly to go out and search for food, so Jason knew that he wouldn't be able to just head towards the nest and take them all out. But that didn't mean that there was no way to get them together in one place.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC201: Surprise Attack
Chapter 201: Surprise Attack
If Jason started an attack on the main nest of the Skyking, then the hunters that had gone out would hear the commotion and they would come around to help the colony defeat the enemy. That meant that Jason had to divide his subordinates into two main groups. One of them would be in charge of attacking the nest to kill the warriors and the Skyking, while the other group would circle the nest and wait for any returning hunter so that they could kill them.
The group handling the returning hunters would have it easier, so Jason would make Riyala go with them. Since Riyala wanted more experience with battle, she could start with that. Jason would also put Raya in charge of handling the hunters, and she would take control of that group. Jason and Ragnar would go after the Skyking himself as well as his warriors. Jason wanted to end this entire battle as quickly as possible so that they could get back to Earth, so he was going to go in full force and kill the Skyking before anyone could react!
Jason sent a mental command over to the Legion and told them the plan that they would be adopting. Raya let out a screech in agreement as she started to skitter around to get the other subordinates to follow her, and Jason turned and told Riyala what her role in the plan would be.
"You'll be with Raya and the other Adamantine Ants. They'll be handling any Hunter that comes to help the main colony, so make sure you support them with fire whenever you can. They're immortal, so there's no need to waste your mana trying to heal them. Instead, focus on healing yourself if you get any injuries. Do you understand?"
Riyal nodded seriously to Jason's orders, and she watched as Jason moved to get on Ragnar's back. The large dragon rose its head and let out a loud roar in excitement, and Riyala couldn't stop the blush that spread on her cheek as she watched Jason handling the dragon so effortlessly. As a Dragonborn, one of the most attractive things to any female was seeing a male who had complete and utter control over their dragon familiar! And after being around Jason for so long, Riyala was slowly starting to realize just how desirable Jason was as a partner.
"Riyala."
Jason's voice cut into Riyala's thought and she shook slightly as she came back to reality! She blushed when she saw Jason giving her an intense look! He nodded his head towards where Raya was waiting for her, and she quickly went to get on Raya's back while telling herself to focus! She had to stop zoning out so much! Raya let out a loud screech once Riyala climbed on, and Jason patted Ragnar on the side before giving the order to move out, and they all took off from the platform together!
——
The main nest of the [Iron Bladed Falcon] was a floating fortress that stood high in the dimension's skyscape. The falcons had chosen this region as their nesting ground after they realized that it was a prime area for hunting and adventure. The vast open space allowed them to spread their wings and fly around without having to worry about limitations, and the various weaker magical creatures that lived there ensured that they didn't have to travel too far for food.
Below the floating forest, far down on the world's surface, was a large ocean that was filled with hundreds of aquatic beasts. These beasts were the falcons' main source of food, and the hunters would hunt for no less than two hundred small fish or a hundred large fish every single day. And if that was not enough to satisfy the falcons, then the rocky land that was located at the shore of the ocean was another area where they could hunt for food.
These two hunting grounds were far enough from the falcon's nest that the hunters normally needed to travel for almost half the day before they could make the round trip to and from their hunts. This meant that most of the falcons were absent from the nest for most of the day! But that didn't mean that the nest was defenseless during that time! All around the main nest, on many smaller floating platforms, large warrior falcons with dark red eyes and sharp talons, feathers, and beaks gazed around intensely. These sharp eyes took in everything around them for miles in every direction, and they waited patiently for any sign of danger to approach.
Along the eastern part of the nest, a large falcon warrior idly trimmed its feathers while occasionally looking out to see if there was any danger around. It leaned its head into its wing and took out a few overgrown feathers before it raised its head again to look into the horizon. At first, there were no signs of danger, but the falcon suddenly narrowed its eyes as it saw something strange! There was a large dot that appeared in the distance, and as the falcon watched, the dot began to grow larger the closer it got. The falcon got to its feet and shook its feathers roughly as it spread its wings! It released a low cry towards its brothers that were sitting on the platforms around it, and they also looked up to see what was coming.
The dot in the distance continued to grow larger until it had grown into the shape of a large dragon that was heading straight for them! The falcons all released cries of urgency once they saw the dragon and the warriors began to take off from their platforms to go and apprehend it!
In the distance, Jason watched as a flock of falcons took off towards him! The warriors were all larger than the hunters! They had sharper talons and their feathers were larger and stronger, so Jason knew that this was not going to be an easy fight. But Jason wasn't worried about whatever the falcons would do because he had the advantage both in numbers and in the strength of his subordinates. Jason had left Raya and Riyala with fifty Pawn Rank III Adamantine Ants as well as all the Iron Bladed Falcons that he had already resurrected, and he took all the other Adamantine Ants that could fly along with him!
The Adamantine Ants with Jason were either Pawn Rank II Scouts or Pawn Rank III soldiers, and many of them had gained massive boosts in their defenses from being Rook Subordinates, and since Jason knew that the Iron Bladed Falcon Hunters were around the same level as Pawn Rank II subordinates, he could accurately guess that the Warriors would be somewhere around Pawn Rank III. That meant that as long as Jason didn't allow the falcons to overwhelm any of the Adamantine Ants, then he would be able to eradicate all of them easily!
Jason tightened his hold on Ragnar while telling it to get ready for the first volley of fire, and Ragnar released a plume of smoke from its mouth in response! The falcons were getting closer, and Jason watched as they slowly began to fly up into the air above them! They were going to try to perform the sky dive that the hunters had done to increase their attack power! Jason immediately told the Adamantine Ants around him to attack, and the ants all took off into the sky as well! The Adamantine Ants reached the falcons before they could gain enough elevation, and they immediately slammed into them and began tearing their formation apart!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC202: Absolute Domination
Chapter 202: Absolute Domination
Ten Falcon guards had responded to Jason's charge, but Jason had more than thirty adamantine ants with him, so when the Falcons started to ascend, the Adamantine Ants were able to overwhelm the Falcons with their numbers and force them to give up their plan to attack! The Falcons immediately began to shoot their sharpened feathers toward the ants with deadly accuracy! The feathers flew true and began to slam into the ants like flying swords, and many of the ants that were not Rook Subordinates suffered major injuries that almost took them out of the fight! The Rook Subordinates, on the other hand, were able to shrug off most of the attack since their skin was much tougher! And since they had the unique skill [Stonewall] that helped them to reduce the damage from ranged attacks by half, the feathers didn't even leave any scratches on them at all! They dashed after the Falcons and didn't give them any room to escape, and they began to grab hold of the Falcons' feathers to prevent them from being able to fly!
The Falcons flapped their wings while crying out loudly as they started falling from the sky, and Jason commanded Ragnar to get ready! Ragnar tucked its wing in and fell into a dive so that it was directly below the falling Falcons! The Falcons were stunned to see Ragnar there, and they were all shocked when Ragnar suddenly flipped in the air so that he was facing them! Ragnar opened its mouth, and a bright yellow light shone with power from inside it and the Falcons immediately tried to get the ants off them since the ants were preventing them from flying out of the way! But the ants refused to let go! The ants latched onto the Falcons' wings and bodies, and they allowed their bodies to act like anchors that brought the Falcons down!
Ragnar reared its head back, and the Falcons all cried out as he unleashed a wave of pure hellfire upon them!
PHWOOM!
The flames were scorching hot even before they had reached the Falcons, and the Falcons looked on in fear while waiting for the exact moment when the ants would let go so that they could fly away! The Falcons believed that there was no way the ants would keep holding them down after seeing the flames that were about to scorch them! The ants had to let go eventually!
But the Falcons had no idea what they were dealing with! If these had been regular beasts, then they would have been right in thinking that the ants would let go! But these weren't regular beasts! These were members of the Legion who had dedicated their lives to their King! Their lives didn't matter to them at all! The ants held on tight until Ragnar's attack reached them, and the Falcons could do nothing as the fire washed over them!
WOOSH!
Ragnar's flames burned for more than five seconds, and everything caught within it was cooked beyond recognition! The Falcons tried to defend themselves by sending mana into their wings to make them stronger, but no level of strengthening would be capable of closing the gap in level between them and Ragnar! The flames cooked them from the inside out, and they were dead before they even knew it!

The Adamantine Ants that weren't caught in the flames went down and began to catch the bodies of the Falcons before they would fall to the ground! "Resurrect."
Jason gave his command and his mana attached onto the souls of the Falcons and dragged them out from their bodies! The Falcons released loud cries as they joined Jason's Legion and a notification popped up in Jason's system.

Jason closed down the tabs with a thought, and he turned back towards the falcon nest as he saw that there were more Falcons coming from the distance! The other Falcon warriors had heard the commotion, and they were coming to support their brothers. Jason immediately sent his mana out to the Adamantine Ants that had been caught in Ragnar's flames, and the system brought up a tab.
[Would the user like to resurrect the [15] dead Subordinates? Yes/No?]
Jason chose yes, and he felt his mana dip slightly as his subordinates were brought back to life.

Jason glanced at the amount of mana points he had left and he nodded when he saw that it was still way above twenty thousand. With each subordinate he got, Jason was only getting more and more mana, so he was slowly reaching a point where he would no longer need to worry about running out of mana at all. And since he now had the [Shadow Walker] attribute that didn't need any mana at all, he wouldn't be defenseless even if he somehow happened to run out of mana.
Jason told the ants and Falcons to get into formation while looking towards the large number of warriors that were coming their way. The main falcon nest was just a few hundred meters away from Jason, but the Falcons were coming from every direction around the nest, so Jason knew that they would have to get through them before he could get to the nest and kill the king.

Some new notifications suddenly appeared in Jason's tab, and Jason took a moment to look towards where Riyala and Raya were fighting against the hunters that were coming back to the nest. Jason activated his [Eye of the King] and watched as Raya used [Linear Charge] to tear through Falcon Hunters easily while Riyala provided support with her blue flames whenever she could.
The Hunters weren't coming back as a pack. Instead, they were coming back one after the other, so it was easy for Raya and the other Adamantine Ants to easily take them out without having to worry about casualties. The Adamantine Ants that weren't fighting were gathering the dead bodies on top of the platforms for Jason to resurrect them later, and Jason could tell that they had things under control over there, so he turned away and refocused on the fight in front of him.
Jason sent an order to his new subordinates, and the Pawn Rank III Falcons cried out loudly as they prepared their feathers by sending mana into them before taking off to fly alongside the Pawn Rank III Adamantine Ants! There were twenty Falcons coming to attack them, so Jason was sure that the twenty-five Pawn Rank III subordinates would be more than enough to hold them down! Then, after they were tired out, Jason would come in with Ragnar and finish them off!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC203: The Bird and The Dragon
Chapter 203: The Bird and The Dragon
Once the plan was laid out, Jason commanded Ragnar to begin his dive at the same moment that the two large groups met in the sky! The Iron Bladed Falcons slammed into Jason's Legion with undeniable ferocity, and they used their blades with deadly precision to scratch and tear through the Legion! The Falcons were shocked when they saw that some of their own brothers were fighting against them, but they didn't allow that to stop them from defending their home! As far as they knew, their brothers had betrayed them by swearing loyalty to another master, so it was their duty to kill the traitors!
Some of the Falcons began to try to fly higher so that they could perform a skydive, but they weren't allowed to do it since the Adamantine Ants were latching onto them and keeping them in place! The clash of metal against metal rang through the air as blades flew and loud cries echoed far into the distance, but it was obvious that Jason's Legion was slowly starting to get the upper hand in the fight! Not only were the Legion members unafraid of death, but they also possessed superior numbers and ferocity! Meanwhile, the Iron Bladed Falcons were still regular Magical Beasts, so they had the natural fear of death that all living beasts had, and they were also being slowed down by the numerous injuries they were suffering as the fight dragged on!
Jason knew that his Legion would be able to take care of the Falcons if he allowed them to continue the fight for a little longer, but Jason just didn't have that sort of time. Jason was here to get stronger as quickly as possible, so he sent the command for the next phase of the plan to the Legion, and Ragnar released a huff of smoke from its mouth as it swerved around and began to fly up towards the battlefield! The Falcons all cried out when they saw the dragon coming at them, but they were held down by the Adamantine Ants and Falcons from the Legion to prevent them from escaping!
"Burn them!"
Jason gave the order once they were close enough, and Ragnar released a loud roar as fire exploded out from his mouth! The flames surged upwards towards all the fighting beasts, and they were engulfed in the intense flames! The smell of burning feathers and cooked meat began spreading through the region, and Jason glanced to see a notification appear in his system.

"Some of them survived?"
Jason raised a brow when he saw that the number of dead Falcons wasn't up to twenty. Jason wondered if it was because some Falcon warriors didn't come to help or if some of the Falcons here managed to survive Ragnar's attack. Jason quickly sent out an order to the Adamantine Ants that hadn't been part of the fight to catch the Falcons before they fell to the ground below. The Adamantine Ants followed Jason's orders and went to catch the falling Falcons, and Jason spread his hand outwards to them and spoke.
"Resurrect."
Doom!
A pressure spread across the sky as Jason's mana grabbed hold of the Falcons and pulled their souls from their bodies! The large Falcons dragged themselves out, and their cries filled the sky as they spread their wings excitedly!

Jason waved the tab away and looked towards the Adamantine Ants that were retrieving the Magic crystals in the heart of the Falcons. Jason had killed practically all the warriors and only the Hunters were left. But with how quickly Raya was going through them, Jason knew that it would be long before the Hunters were also dealt with. So that only left the main boss of the Gate, the Skyking.
Jason quickly used up a thousand mana points to resurrect the members of the Legion that had been killed in Ragnar's attack. Some of the Legion members had been quick enouhg ot let go before the attack hit, so they were only slightly burnt and Jason was sure they would heal in no time. Once he was done with that, he looked towards the nest of the Skyking once again.
Jason was sure that the Skyking would be at least up to Rook Rank I, but Jason wasn't worried about that since he knew they had the superior forces. In fact, if Jason wanted to get the most out of this, then it would be beneficial for him to only send Ragnar after the Skyking. Jason glanced at the tab above Ragnar's head and he hummed.

Ragnar hadn't been in that many fights, so his hierarchy progression wasn't moving up as quickly as Jason hoped it would. At this rate, it would take at least a month just for Ragnar to get to hierarchy level 3. No, that wouldn't do. Jason needed Ragnar to get stronger faster as well. As one of the strongest fighters in the Legion, Ragnar needed to get even stronger if Jason was going to stand any chance against the Lich.
This battle already helped Ragnar improve his progression by a lot, but Jason decided that he would leave Ragnar to fight the Skyking alone so he could gain even more experience.
Jason sent out an order to the rest of the Legion and told them to continue retrieving the stones from the Falcons and to wait for him here once they were done with that. The Legion responded positively and Jason commanded Ragnar to take off for the Falcon nest! Ragnar jumped off the platform in the sky and flapped his wings intensely as he flew straight for the largest platform in the sky. There was an intense aura surrounding Ragnar as he flew, and Jason could immediately tell that it was excitement for the battle that he was about to experience! Jason patted Ragnar on the neck and told him to make sure he won, and Ragnar released a low rumble of amusement in response! Did the King really think a mere bird could take out a great dragon?
"He's as confident as ever."
Jason grinned in response to Ragnar, and he turned back forward as they got closer to the platform in the sky. The platform was extremely large, and there was a small lake filled with water to one side. The center of the platform had an artificial cave that was so dark on the inside that Jason couldn't see a thing with his normal sight. The moment Ragnar landed on the platform, a great tremor traveled across the ground and Jason saw something shift inside the cave.
Jason got off Ragnar while grabbing a few crystals from his Alternate Dimension and he threw them in his mouth as he began to walk away from the potential battlefield. Jason found a large rock that looked comfortable enough, and he sat down and crossed his legs to watch. Ragnar shook its body and released some tension before it spread its wings and roared towards the cave!
ROARRRR!
The roar shook the entire platform down to its core and the creature inside the cave finally decided that it needed to respond appropriately! The creature slowly emerged from inside the cave and Jason couldn't hide his shock when he saw the Skyking! It was nearly as large as Ragnar! The Skyking had silver feathers that shone far brighter than any other Falcon in this colony, and its eyes were an iridescent blue that glittered in the sunlight! Each step it took carved trenches in the ground due to how sharp its talons were, and when it spread its wings, Jason whistled as its size nearly quadrupled!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC204: The Bird and The Dragon II
Chapter 204: The Bird and The Dragon II
The Skyking let out a high-pitched cry that made Jason's ears ring from how loud it was, and Jason felt his lips splitting into a grin as he took in the magnificent creature. It would definitely be a good addition to his Legion. The falcon turned to Jason for a second and tilted its head in hostility, but Jason just pointed towards Ragnar calmly to tell the falcon to focus. I'm not the one you're here for. The skyking let out a hostile cry at Jason before it turned back toward Ragnar, and it was immediately blindsided by a tail swipe!
SLAM!
Ragnar's tail slapped the falcon across the face, and the falcon released another cry as it crashed to the ground. Ragnar roared as it prepared to slash the falcon across its body, but the falcon quickly sent mana towards its feathers and all of them hardened until they were thousands of times tougher than steel!
Clang!
Ragnar's claw struck the falcon's skin and sparks flew through the air! The falcon spread its wings and beat them roughly to help it rise back to its feet, and Ragnar moved calmly around the falcon while watching it to see what it would do! The falcon shot its wings toward Ragnar and twenty large Iron-Blade feathers flew out like arrows to try and skewer Ragnar, but Ragnar simply put his wing in the path of the blades and another metallic sound echoed through the air as they were easily deflected!
Ragnar pulled his wing back and saw that the falcon was trying to prepare another blade attack! He reared his head back and sucked in a massive gust of air, and the falcon could only watch in pure shock as Ragnar shot out a blast of fire toward it! The falcon immediately put both of its wings in front of it and sent all its mana towards the wings to make them even stronger than before! The wings formed a tough metallic shield to protect the falcon as Ragnar's flames washed over it!
BOOM!
Ragnar kept his flames up for a few seconds until he finally pulled back to see how much damage he had caused, and Jason hummed from behind them as the smoke cleared to show that the falcon had suffered some major injuries. The falcon's wings that had once been lustrous and clean were now blackened and bloody. There were serious burns all along its body from the heat of Ragnar's flames, and the falcon itself seemed to realize just how much damage Ragnar was able to do with that one attack!
Jason looked into the falcon's eyes and felt a smile appear on his face when he saw the first shadow of fear appear there! The falcon was slowly realizing that it was seriously outclassed! The falcon spread its wings out and flapped them to rise into the air! The power difference between them was too much, and it knew it couldn't face Ragnar head-on, so it needed to regroup and figure out another plan of attack! The skyking was going to fly to a safe area, but Ragnar was not going to let that happen!
Ragnar roared as he took off after the falcon! The falcon was faster than Ragnar in the air, but the wounds it had suffered prevented it from being able to gain its top speed quickly enough, so it was easy for Ragnar to grab it by the foot and drag it down in one intense heave!
BOOM!
The falcon slammed into the ground and Ragnar landed on top of it! Ragnar placed its foot on the falcon's body dominantly and when the falcon tried to raise its head, Ragnar slammed his other foot on the falcon's head and pushed it back down! The falcon released a cry as it began thinking of how to get away from Ragnar, but Ragnar didn't give it any chance to come up with a n plan as he drew in another gust of wind and unleashed fire upon it.
ROARRR!!
The flames burned with an intense ferocity that could be felt for hundreds of meters in every direction! Jason even had to put a hand up to his face to block out the heat waves that were washing over him! It was freaking hot! The flames burned for almost ten seconds before Jason finally heard the notification sound in his system.

Once Jason got the notification, Ragnar stepped away from the dead body of the falcon and released a loud roar that sent ripples traveling through the air! Jason stood while dusting his trousers off and Ragnar immediately turned to him and ran over excitedly! Jason put his hands out and planted his feet as he easily caught the charging dragon! His feet dug into the ground and slid back for a few meters before he stopped and laughed as Ragnar nozzled him with his nose.
"Great job, boy."
Ragnar released a huff of hot air right into Jason's face and if not for his high durability, Jason knew that it would have been enough to scorch the hell out of him. But since Jason was so strong, he just laughed at the increased heat before rubbing Ragnar under his chin as a reward for his hard work! Jason looked up at Ragnar's tab and he gained a small smile.

Ragnar's hierarchy rank had progressed significantly from the fight, and at this rate, Jason knew that it would only take another two or three high-level monsters to make Ragnar become a Rook Rank III! Ragnar was going to be very important in the fight against the Lich later, so for now Jason was going to put a lot of effort into making sure he grows as quickly as possible.
Jason finally turned away from Ragnar and allowed his vision to travel toward Raya and Riyala's fight.

Raya and the rest of the adamantine ants were still going strong against all the hunters who were returning to the nest. Jason watched as the adamantine ants split up each of the hunters and began to attack them individually. Raya and the other two Rook Rank I adamantine ants were the main attacking force of the team, so the lower-ranked ants would draw the falcons toward one of the rooks and then they would allow the rooks to kill them before they took the corpse over to a platform to pile them together! They had already taken out more than fifty hunters like this and Jason knew that it wouldn't be long before they also killed the rest.
Jason looked over at Riyala and watched her actions for a few seconds. Riyala was not used to being in the middle of a battle, and it showed from how nervous she was. She was trying her best to keep any attacking falcons away from Raya by shooting fire towards them and pushing them back, but her attacks were unsure and hesitant, almost like she was scared of hitting one of the Legion members in her attack.
'She's too caring. Maybe she isn't meant for the frontline. She would be more comfortable as a medic.'

Chapter 205: Did You See That!?
'She's too caring. Maybe she isn't meant for the frontline. She would be more comfortable as a medic.'
Jason came to this conclusion while watching Riyala. He could tell that she was capable since she had been trained by teachers, but that didn't mean she was fit for battle. She cared too much about magic beasts to ever try to harm them directly. Jason sent a mental command to the adamantine ants and iron-bladed falcons that had been helping him and Ragnar, and he told them to go and join Riyala so they could finish off the hunters faster, and they all took off immediately. There were more than a hundred of them combined, so when they joined the battle, their numbers became far too much for the other iron-bladed falcons to handle.
The hunters began running away, but Jason commanded his subordinates to chase them down and make sure no one escaped! He wanted them all! The subordinates dashed after the fleeing hunters, and Jason told the weaker subordinates who had been gathering the corpses to bring them over so he could resurrect them. Jason also ordered Riyala not to chase after the retreating falcons and to bring Riyala back to him, and Raya turned around and began to carry the princess over.
As they got closer, Jason gained a small smile when he saw Riyala waving at him from a distance. Riyala's hair and cloak were stained with blood, and there was soot on her face from all the fire that she had been throwing about, but Jason could tell that she was happy that she was able to help out! Raya landed and came close enough to rub her head on Jason's face, and Jason patted her calmly before pushing her back with a laugh when she almost threw him to the ground in her excitement.
"Jason, did you see that!? It was amazing!"
Riyala shouted from on top of Raya, and Jason smiled as she swung her legs over and jumped down to meet him! She ran up to him and jumped happily while describing the battle!
"There were so many enemies, and everyone was moving so fast! But Raya handled it so easily! She tore through them and chased down anyone that came close, and I sent fire at them like woosh! My flames have never been this hot before, so I'm sure it's because of the artefact that it got so powerful! And then I—!!"
"Alright, alright. I'm glad you had so much fun."
Jason couldn't help but chuckle in amusement while putting his hand on Riyala's shoulder! She was so excited that she was starting to bounce around like some sort of pinball! Riyala blushed when she realized that she had been talking too much, and her blush increased even more as Jason put his hand on her head before speaking in amusement.
"Thanks for helping out, but I need to finish off some upgrades, so can you wait over there with Ragnar?"
Jason motioned towards Ragnar with a tilt of his head, and Riyala bowed her head shyly and nodded. Jason's hand on Riyala's head felt so good that Riyala didn't try to move even after agreeing. Jason raised a brow at her and called her name while pulling back, and Riyala finally seemed to get herself back as she quickly headed off to the side. Jason hummed as he watched her run up to Ragnar and jump up to grab him around the neck with an excited laugh. Ragnar released a huff of hot air in her face, and Riyala just laughed as she continued to wrestle with him!
Jason turned away after a few seconds and changed his view to watch what was going on with the Legion members who had chased the retreating falcons. Jason had been getting more kill notifications all this while, and at this point, he was sure that there weren't even up to five of the falcons left. The Legion had chased them down to the ocean below the floating nest, and they were sniping them down one by one.
One of the falcons soared over the large body of water and swerved to the side the moment one of the adamantine ants was about to get it, but before it could enjoy its narrow escape, another falcon that was part of Jason's Legion swooped in and slashed it across the torso with its sharp wings! Blood flew across the air as the falcon released a loud cry and was finally caught by the Legion members chasing it.

——
Endless Rope
Rank: S
Durability: 100%
Boosts: Nil
Description: As the name suggests, this artefact is a bundle of thick rope that is capable of extending to an infinite length. It was created by an adventurer known as Frodo and gifted to Richard Marc as a thank you for saving his life. Other than its unique ability to constantly extend regardless of the length required, the rope possesses no other distinguishing properties. But it is durable enough that only those in S Rank and above will be capable of easily damaging it.
——
Jason raised a brow at that description. This was the first time he would be getting an artefact that didn't provide any boosts to any of his stats, but it was still a very useful item. Being able to extend to any length wasn't something to scoff at, and Jason knew that he would definitely be needing something like it in the future.
The artefact appeared in Jason's hand as a bundle of black rope that pulsed with power and Jason hummed as it looked it over. You wouldn't be able to tell that it was endless by just looking at it, but Jason knew that the system wouldn't give false advertising for any artefact. Jason threw it into his Alternate Dimension to store it until later and then turned back to focus on the falcon corpses that his Legion had been gathering.
Their corpses had really piled up, and Jason patted the subordinates close to him when they finally finished gathering all of them together. Jason had already resurrected all twenty-eight warriors that he killed, so that meant he only had to resurrect the hunters that were killed by Riyala as well as the large boss that Ragnar defeated. Jason also resurrected five hunters during his first battle, so he predicted that there would be about sixty hunters left.
The Adamantine Ants that had been gathering the magic crystals from the falcons came forward and placed them in front of Jason. There were just under a hundred of them, and Jason looked them over to make sure that there were no flaws. The largest crystal was from the Falcon Boss, but the other crystals would be classified as medium sized and would go for more than a hundred thousand on the market! Jason put the crystals into his Alternate Dimension for later and spread his mana out towards the monster corpses. Riyala turned around curiously from her place on top of Ragnar's back when she felt the sudden surge in mana, and she watched as Jason spoke authoritatively.
"Resurrect."
Doon!
Riyala felt her body shiver as a surge of power pulsed across the air!

Chapter 206: Long-Range Skill
Jason's mana surged through the area, and the Falcons released loud cries into the air as they emerged in their new form. Jason frowned as his eyes traveled towards the boss who refused to resurrect along with the others.

Jason realized a long time ago that the boss of the gate always needed a bit more force than the other beasts, so he wasn't surprised that the boss didn't respond to his summon.
Jason walked over to the large body of the falcon boss and stood over it with a hard look on his face. Jason's mana burst out from his body and washed over the corpse, and Jason commanded:
"Resurrect."
Doon!
The ground shook from the force of Jason's pressure, and this time the boss tried to fight back with all the willpower in its soul, but it didn't even stand a chance! Jason had fought a battle of will against a literal dragon, so there was no way the boss would have enough strength to stand up to Jason's authority! Jason's mana latched onto the boss's soul and the Skyking rose from the dead in all its glory!
CAWWWW!!
The Skyking spread its wings proudly and cried out towards the sky once it was free, and Jason smiled as he felt his connection with the beast forming. The skybeast came down while ruffling its feathers proudly and rubbed its neck around Jason while using its wings to hug him close. Jason scratched it under its head with a wide smile and it preened deeply. The bladed feathers hadn't been strengthened by mana yet, so they were still soft to the touch.

The B Rank Skill [Mana Forge] has evolved into the A Rank skill [Iron Storm]
——
[Iron Storm: This skill allows the user to create silver blades that float in the air around him. These blades can be used for defense or they can be shot towards opponents in the distance for long-range attacks. The number of blades depends on how much mana the user puts into the skill.]
This skill is not evolvable.
——
'I can shoot blades?'
Jason hummed as he read through the skill and immediately activated it, watching as a small thread of mana floated out from his body! The thread elongated to about one meter before forming into an elaborate silver sword with no guard or handle. It was just a silver blade. Jason reached for it and he plucked it out of the air to test its durability and was surprised when he saw that it was very durable! It felt just like any regular sword! Jason put some pressure on the sword and bent it!
Break!
Jason was shocked when he was able to easily break the sword with his regular strength, but he decided that it wasn't that surprising. The skill was only an A Rank and the system said that adding more mana to the skill was only going to increase the number of blades that he could make. It never said that he would be able to increase the strength of the blades, so that meant the blades were all going to be only as strong as A Ranks.
'But that won't matter since I can still shoot them like projectiles.'
Jason turned towards the wall of the cave in front of him before activating the skill again and watching as ten swords appeared around him. Jason put his hand towards the wall and sent a mental command to the swords!
Twoom! Twoom! Twoom!
All ten swords suddenly shot forward like bullets and slammed into the wall of the cave before breaking through it and destroying the entire wall in the process! Riyala released a loud cry of shock when the wall exploded and Jason calmly apologized for scaring her. Jason turned back to the wall and couldn't help but smile.
'I feel like fucking Gilgamesh. This is awesome.'
Jason could tell that this was the perfect long-range skill. It wouldn't do much against someone stronger than S Rank, but at least it would be a good way to provide distractions and cause injuries.
A growl came from behind Jason and he wasn't surprised when Ragnar suddenly grabbed the Skyking from behind and pulled him away! The Skyking released a loud cry as Ragnar threw it to the ground roughly and Jason just watched in mild amusement as the Skyking tried its best to fight against Ragnar's raw strength! The Skyking had no idea why Ragnar was suddenly fighting it, but it wasn't going to go down without a fight! It tried to use its blades to attack, but Ragnar's strength was just too much for it to handle!
Ragnar and the Skyking tussled on the ground for a few seconds until Ragnar easily overpowered it! Ragnar put his feet on the Skyking to hold it down and the Skyking cried out constantly as it tried to get away from Ragnar! Behind them, Riyala began to creep closer with as much silence as possible and before they could react, she pounced on Ragnar and threw him to the ground! Ragnar roared in agitation at the cowardly attack! Riyala couldn't fight him alone so she was trying to sneak up on him! But Riyala didn't care if Ragnar thought it was cowardly! She had been waiting for revenge for a long time and she was going to use any opportunity she had!
Riyala teamed up with the Skyking and they both began to tussle with Ragnar! The entire platform shook from the roughhousing between the three beasts of immeasurable power and Jason just watched from the side with a smile on his face. Riyala came close to Jason and asked him if this was okay and Jason just waved her concerns away calmly.
"They do this all the time. They're just welcoming him into the family."
Jason's answer made Riyala smile and she suddenly turned back to the fight and cheered when she saw Ragnar easily overpowering both Riyala and the Skyking! Ragnar first threw Riyala to the ground and sat on her before he grabbed the Skyking by the neck and threw him to the ground as well! Ragnar put his full weight on both of them and they both began to cry out helplessly! This was so unfair! Ragnar was too strong!
Jason decided that the fighting was a good thing since it would help them stay sharp and get stronger, so he decided not to stop it. Instead, he turned to his system to take a look at the Skyking's tab.

[Would the user like to pick a name for the Rook Rank Subordinate? Yes/No?]
Jason chose yes and the system brought up another tab asking him to pick out a name for the Falcon Boss. Jason hummed curiously as he tried to think of something good and he eventually decided to go with the nickname that all the other falcons had given the Boss.
[Does the user wish to select the name [Skyking]? Yes/No?]
Jason chose yes and he watched as the Falcon's tab changed to display the new name.
