STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC207: Plans and Messages
Chapter 207: Plans and Messages
'I'll have to promote the Skyking soon so he'll have more subordinates. The Falcons will work well under him.'
Jason thought this while assigning ten of the Iron Bladed Falcons to Skyking as his new subordinates. Jason gave a mental order to Ragnar and told him to get off Skyking and Raya. Ragnar released another low growl and blew some hot air into their faces before he flapped his wings and took off into the sky! Raya screeched and started to go after him, and Skyking was about to join them, but Jason told him to stop.
Skyking realized a low cry of righteous annoyance when he realized that he wasn't going to be able to beat Ragnar up, and Jason just told him that he would be able to fight Ragnar as much as he wanted inside the Alternate Dimension. Skyking bowed his head respectfully and Jason came over and ran his hand through his feathers while checking everything on his tab to make sure that they were okay. Jason then glanced at his stats tab.

Right now, the most important thing for Jason was to get more power, and after clearing this gate, three of Jason's skills were already past the fifty percent mark. If Jason went on another Gate raid, then there was a high chance that he would be able to get into the SS Rank. But Jason knew that there were a lot of other things that needed to be done all at the same time. Not only did Jason need to begin preparing for the trip through the dimensions to reach the Lich, but he also needed to make sure that the BloodRaven guild was taken down so that he could get the [Banshee's Tears].
Jason wasn't going to allow any of these things to stop him from being able to accomplish the others, so Jason decided that he was going to divide and conquer. The most important thing now was to both get the [Banshee's Tears] while also gaining strength, and since Jason's subordinates had proven that they were more than capable of handling themselves against other beasts without his supervision, Jason was going to send them into an Orange Gate alone and see how well they performed.
'I'll keep an eye on them using the [Eye of the King] and if I see that they need me to intervene, then I'll get there quickly by using the [King's Substitute]. That way I can focus on getting the [Banshee's Tears] and then I'll get ready to leave Earth to find the Lich.'
Jason came up with a plan to handle all of his responsibilities very quickly. Time was not on his side, and he didn't want Gina to stay dead for any longer than she had to. Jason told Ragnar to come down to him while commanding his other subordinates to begin moving into the Alternate Dimension, and he called on Riyala and told her to get ready to leave. Riyala nodded while saying goodbye to the Falcons that she had been playing with, and Ragnar flew down to Jason and happily rubbed his head against Jason's body.
Ragnar brought his neck down for Jason to get on and Jason climbed up first before helping Riyala to get up, and Ragnar took off towards the exit for them to return to Earth.
...
[Radagan]
[Castle of The Sovereign]
"What did you say?"
A rough voice echoed through a large throne room and made all the people standing in the room cower nervously from fear. The throne room was huge. It had large windows lining the walls on one side and all of them were covered with handcrafted golden drapes that glimmered in the light of the sun outside. The room itself was painted with a white and gold scheme to represent the royal family, and in the end of the room was a large golden throne standing at the top of a raised platform.
This room had been designed by the very first king of Radagan to belong to whoever the people of the country chose as their king. It was a symbol of respect, and only the King and those whom he permitted to enter were allowed to come in here. But things had changed ever since the coup that claimed the lives of most of the royal family.
The Sovereign of Radagan was a large man with a hard face and glaring eyes that would strike fear into the heart of any man. He had bulking muscles and a tall stature that made his combat abilities obvious to anyone that saw him. There were black scales on his cheek that traveled down his neck and toward his hands and feet as well. His eyes were a poison yellow that were slitted like lizards, and his teeth were jagged and pointed like individual blades.
He wore a black armor set that had been made from the hide of the former king's wyvern. The killing of dragons and wyverns was considered sacrilege in Radagan, but the Sovereign didn't care. He wore the hide both as a symbol of status as well as a reminder to everyone in the kingdom that he had taken the throne from the previous king by force and he was more than willing to kill anything in his path to achieve his ambitions.
This coup wasn't the first war that the people of Radagan would face, but it was the first time that they would ever face a war that was initiated by one of their own, and that was why it was so difficult for anyone to stand in the way of the Sovereign. The Sovereign was not just a barbarian who wielded a sword and cut down anyone on his path, he was a charismatic leader as well as an extremely capable warrior. He had the army at his back and many of the younger and most ambitious members of the Dragon Riders rallied behind him since they believed that the Wyvern Riders were too weak to be the leaders of their world!
After taking charge of the throne, the Sovereign chased the Wyvern Riders away from the land surrounding the Royal capital and gave that land to the Dragon Riders and their familiars. There were hundreds of young dragons surrounding the Royal Capital and there was a larger black dragon that belonged to the Sovereign sitting at the top of the Royal Building.
Right now, the Sovereign was receiving a report from the messenger that he had sent to meet with the Phantoms. There were numerous noble men and women in the throne room with them, and all the noble men and women began to murmur in curiosity and confusion when they heard what the messenger just said. The Sovereign released a huff of smoke from his mouth before he said:
"Repeat what you just said."
The messenger felt a chill run down his spine from the pressure that his ruler was releasing! The Sovereign was so powerful that just his mana alone was enough to make anyone cower in his presence, and the messenger knew that if the Sovereign got angry then he could easily lose his life right then!
In truth, the Sovereign had never killed anyone unless he knew they had to die for his ambitions. He was a powerful man, but that didn't mean he was a tyrant. That was one of the reasons why the Dragon Riders followed him to fight against their own people. But the messenger's cowardice was starting to grate on the Sovereign's nerves.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC208: The Genesis of War
Chapter 208: The Genesis of War
The Radagan messenger swallowed desperately when he saw the Sovereign's anger rising to the surface, and he gathered his courage and quickly stammered out his earlier statement once again.
"T-The Phantoms. I w-went to their campsite like you instructed me, b-but... I wasn't able to see any signs of life. They had all been slaughtered and their bodies were piled together like cattle."
The murmuring from the nobles around the throne began once more. They leaned into each other conspiratorially, and their voices weren't that difficult to hear.
"The Phantoms are dead? Do you think it was Riyala?"
"No, that girl isn't strong enough to do something like that."
"Isn't Riyala just a healer? There's no way she could kill those assassins."
"Then, do you think there was someone helping her? Some sort of benefactor?"
"I think it is divine retribution. The Dragon gods are angry with us."
"She is still the Princess. It's possible that the Dragon Gods are protecting her. They might come for the rest of us soon."
"SILENCE!"
The sovereign slammed his hand into the armrest of his throne while glaring at all the nobles in the throne room heatedly! There was an intense fire burning in his gaze at that moment, and it immediately eradicated every trace of defiance in the body of anyone who looked at him! All the nobles bowed their heads meekly and made sure they didn't even dare to meet his eyes!
The Sovereign could feel a surge of anger rising from within him! He couldn't believe how easy it was to make these people lose their faith in him! This was exactly why he wanted to get the princess before things got out of hand! Any member of the Royal family that was not in his custody was already a threat to his throne, so the fact that the princess was out there meant that there would always be doubt in the minds of the people about whether or not he really deserved this throne!
'I need to find her and erase all the doubts! That girl cannot make a fool out of me!'
This thought passed through the Sovereign's mind and he squeezed his hand into a fist! He was already very angry because of what happened with Riyala's mother! The Sovereign had planned to take Riyala's mother as his concubine, but on the day that he was meant to lie with her, she had bit off her own tongue and killed herself! It was a stain on his honor, and he made sure to bury her in a dishonorable way to make sure the people knew how angry he was!
But if the Sovereign allowed the daughter to embarrass him the same way the mother had embarrassed him, then his cabinet would never let him hear the end of it! He had to get Riyala no matter what! A dangerous aura began to surround the Sovereign's body as he grit his teeth, and all the people in the throne room felt a sudden pressure pushing down on them with intensity! The Sovereign possessed enough power to be classified as an SSS Rank threat and all of the military heads working under him were somewhere between low S Rank to high SS Rank.
His military consisted of more than five thousand Dragon Riders as well as their Dragons, and there were hundreds of thousands of able-bodied fighters in the Radagan Kingdom that he could summon to fight for him whenever he wanted! The Sovereign had already gotten a message from the Phantoms earlier telling him exactly where Riyala was. She was in a parallel Dimension known as Earth that was only a Rank II world. This meant that they had only been introduced to mana a few years ago and their strongest fighter was barely stronger than SS Rank.
'I should send a message to them. We can show them the power of Radagan while also proving myself to the nobles. They would be fools if they continued protecting the princess after seeing the difference in our power.'
The Sovereign narrowed his eyes as this thought crossed his mind and he sat straighter in his chair as he spoke in a powerful voice that traveled across the entire throne room.
"It is unfortunate that the Phantoms were not as capable as they claimed to have been. I have decided that we do not need the help of outsiders to handle problems that are native to Radagan. The Princess is a fugitive from our war; therefore, it is only right that our soldiers are sent to retrieve her from the world where she has chosen as her place of refuge. Grinot!"
The Sovereign suddenly called out towards the throne room door and the large door opened to reveal a tough-looking soldier. The soldier was built with sturdy, bulky muscles and he had a sharp gaze that showed he had seen the horrors of war and had laughed in the face of death itself! He wore the standard red uniform worn by all members of the Radagan Military and there were three stars on his chest that depicted him as a Regiment Commander.
"Sir!"
Grinot saluted sharply and then relaxed his posture when the sovereign nodded to him. The Sovereign looked at all the nobles with a rough smile as he saw them looking away from Grinot. The sight of the military officer was enough to put fear into the hearts of most of the nobles because of how many of them had been killed by the same military in the coup. Some of the nobles had stood against the Sovereign in the coup, and the Sovereign made sure every member of the opposition was hunted down and dealt with properly! Just the uniform alone put fear into the heart of most of the Dragonborn!
The Sovereign leaned back in his seat and spoke with authority.
"Gather your regiment and prepare them for battle. You shall march into Earth and demand they return the fugitive to us at once. You do not need to worry about diplomacy or negotiations. If the people of this 'Earth' possess any form of intelligence, then they will know better than to stand against our might. If you find that they do not have the intelligence necessary to immediately meet our demands, then you are permitted to use force to achieve your objectives."
Grinot saluted the Sovereign once more before he turned and left without a single word. The military was not trained to give promises or fancy words to their leader. They were trained to take orders and execute them with impossible efficiency. And now that Grinot had his orders, he would stop at nothing to ensure his Sovereign's wishes were fulfilled!

[Jason's New Apartment]
A large shadow traveled across the floor of Jason's apartment and stopped in the middle of his living room before two figures emerged from inside. Jason had a serious look on his face as he began taking off his long coat and he spoke to Riyala without turning around.
"You should clean up and get some rest. I won't be going for another raid, so I won't need your help for now."
Riyala was standing with her hands held in front of her and a huge smile on her face as she followed after Jason, but the moment he spoke, she lost her smile a little at the thought of leaving him. Riyala had really enjoyed the time that they spent together and she didn't want the night to end yet. Riyala seemed to hesitate for a few seconds as she stood in place and Jason turned around while running a hand through his hair tiredly and gave her a curious look.
"Is everything okay?"
Jason asked this calmly and Riyala quickly shook her head to tell Jason that everything was fine!
"Sorry, I was just thinking! I was thinking! I'll go get some rest! Uhm... i-If you're hungry, then I can make something for us. I can find some meat and cook it or..."

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC209: First Remote Mission
Chapter 209: First Remote Mission
"Uhm... i-If you're hungry, then I can make something for us. I can find some meat and cook it or..."
Jason shook his head and told Riyala that it was fine. It was late, so there wouldn't even be any open stores and they didn't have any food at home. They would just have to wait till tomorrow to get something to eat. Riyala nodded slowly as she accepted Jason's words and seemed to be thinking of another excuse to use before a mental image of Gina passed through her mind all of a sudden. Riyala had no idea why she had that thought, but she suddenly had an intense feeling of guilt in her heart as she squeezed her hands tightly. Riyala had been trying to deny it all this time, but she could no longer lie to herself.
'I'm falling in love with Jason. How could I do this to Gina? Gina isn't here anymore, and I'm trying to force myself on him when he is so vulnerable. What am I doing?'
Riyala felt a tear coming to her eyes and had to quickly turn away and begin going upstairs before Jason would see it. She told Jason goodnight and Jason just hummed back at her in curiosity. Jason had seen the look on Riyala's face just before she turned away and he could tell that there was something on her mind, but he wasn't interested enough in finding out what it was. Jason had a lot of things to deal with right now, so Riyala's feelings would have to wait for some time.
'I need to send the Legion into an Orange Gate. It'll be the first time I'm sending them into a Gate alone, so this might determine how I dive into Gates in the future.'
Jason's eyes turned serious as he turned to the system and asked it for any new Gates that had opened in the area. The system immediately responded.
[The system has not detected any significant mana accumulations that would indicate the appearance of a Gate in the user's immediate vicinity. But the system has found that a large Orange Gate that opened in [New Jersey] has still not been closed. The system believes that this could be due to a lack of manpower needed to properly kill the Gate Boss.]
Jason felt his eyes narrow when he read through the system's message. Jason hadn't heard anything about the Orange Gate in New Jersey because of how busy he was, but he knew there were some situations when the people sent into a Gate weren't able to close it down. This usually happened when the Gate Boss was just too strong for the members or if the number of monsters in the Gate was too high for the number of Superhumans that were sent inside.
Even though you can tell the level of a Gate Boss from the color of the gate, that didn't mean you would be able to guess how many monsters were inside the Gate. The Adamantine Ant Hill that Jason went into before had more than three hundred ants inside. Most of them were low level ants that wouldn't even cause issues for B Ranks, but that didn't mean that it would be easy to handle them when they all attacked at once. Most guilds that went into that Gate would be easily wiped out. On the other hand, the Iron Bladed Falcon Den that Jason just cleared out barely had a hundred monsters inside. It would be a lot easier for an A rank guild to handle the Iron Bladed Falcon Den than the Adamantine Ant Hill.
'Does that mean they didn't send in enough people? From what I remember, New Jersey doesn't have a lot of guilds in it. There weren't many gates appearing there, so most of the guilds left. They must've just called any guild around and asked them to help in clearing the Gate.'
Jason narrowed his eyes as he thought about this. He knew that this was a complicated situation and it might be difficult for his Legion to handle things since this would be the first time that they would be going into a Gate without him, but he decided that he would send them in. He might end up saving some lives in the process, and his Legion would still gain the experience.
Jason's consciousness immediately traveled into his Alternate Dimension and the first thing he set his eyes on was Gina's prone body lying in the middle of the large field. Jason stared at her for a few seconds as he felt his resolve strengthening even more before he finally turned away and focused on the Legion members standing around Gina's body. Jason had no idea what sort of Gate he would be sending them into, so the best course of action was to create a team that would be able to cover every possible scenario.
The first thing Jason needed was a heavy hitter, and the best choice would be Raya since she had the highest defenses out of all his subordinates, and her attack was also nothing to scoff at. Raya was a Rook Rank II, so she had twenty subordinates that would be going in with her. Jason was also going to send Dino, the Rook Rank I Adamantine Ant, so that he and his ten subordinates would be able to help Raya.
Next, Jason needed an aerial fighter that would be able to scout and attack from the air. And there was only one choice in a situation like that. The Skyking was going to go into the Gate along with Raya and Dino. Jason knew that Raya and Dino could also fly, but he didn't want them to be occupied with so many things at the same time. It was better to leave all aerial activities to the Skyking so that Raya and Dino could focus on the ground.
After that, Jason would then need a wildcard that would be there to confuse the enemies, and the Spidermonkey Rook, Lupin, was the best choice for situations like that. Jason had seen firsthand just how annoying those bastards could be, so they would serve as useful distractions and they would also be useful for attacking the enemy.
Jason called on all the subordinates that he had picked out and he gave them their orders. They had two missions inside the Gate. The first mission was to find out what had happened to the previous Superhumans that had gone in there, and the second mission was to eradicate all the monsters and kill the Boss of the gate. If they found the Superhumans, then they were to make sure that none of them were hurt while clearing out the Gate.
'Raya, you'll be in charge of the mission. Assign some subordinates to escort the Superhumans out of the battlefield when you find them and make sure that you collect all the Magic Crystals from the monsters.'
Jason already had more than a hundred magic crystals from the previous Gate that he dived into, and he also had all the magic crystals that he had gotten from the loot in the Phantom camp. So altogether, he had more than one thousand six hundred crystals of different qualities. He planned to sell most of the mid and low-level crystals to the Tenet company later, but he would eat a lot of the high-level ones to gain more power.
Jason shook his head and decided to get back to the plan. He made sure that Raya understood his orders and he told the other subordinates to follow all of Raya's orders before he allowed them to go. The subordinates moved out from Jason's Alternate Dimension, and Jason felt them move through the shadows and toward New Jersey.

——
Jason read through the new notification tab before he closed it down. He didn't really care much for the increased reputation that he would gain since he never cared about what others thought of him. He knew that the increased reputation would make it easier for him to get more Gate contracts in the future, and it would also make the government overlook some of the things he would do in the future, but the main reason he was doing this was because he needed the power. If he somehow managed to save the lives of some superhumans in the process, then that was good too.
Jason released a calm sigh as he looked around the empty apartment. He knew that there were multiple rooms upstairs, but he didn't feel like going up there, especially with how Riyala had been acting recently. Jason didn't have the emotional empathy to worry about Riyala at that moment, so he decided he would do something about her after Gina was alive again.
But the worst thing right now was the fact that Jason was dead tired.
'I feel drained. My stamina is at rock bottom from all the things that happened today, so I need to get some rest, but I can't bring myself to sleep when there's so much to do. I wonder if the Phantoms have any leads about the [Banshee's Tears].'
Jason had sent Alpha and other Phantoms out earlier to search through the BloodRaven guild base for any sign of the [Banshee's Tears], and they still hadn't gotten back to him. Jason had instructed them to find the room where the guild stored all their acquired artifacts. If they could find that, then it was likely that the artifact would be in there.
Jason immediately sent a message out to Alpha while activating the [Eye of the King] to see where she was. Jason's perspective changed to a large room inside a mansion. The room was filled with various artifacts and weapons, and the three Phantoms were moving around silently, looking through everything to find the [Banshee's Tears]. Jason asked Alpha what she had found so far, and Alpha said that they hadn't had any luck. The [Banshee's Tear] was a jewel-type artifact that had special healing properties, and Alpha had seen it enough times to know what it looked like. But none of the artifacts in the room resembled it.
'Did they already sell the artifact? No, they just got it a few days ago. It would take longer for them to sell it. It's more likely that it's at another branch. The BloodRaven guild has branches all over the city.'
Jason ran a hand through his hair in mild frustration before he shook his head and narrowed his eyes in concentration. There was no need to get frustrated at this point since he was sure he was on the right track. Jason knew that the BloodRaven guild had the artifact, so if Alpha and the other Phantoms couldn't find it alone, then he was going to get more eyes on the ground!
Jason called on every single Phantom in his command that wasn't already carrying out another of his orders. Eleven of the Phantoms were looking after Jason's mother and sister, and another two Phantoms were following Liam and Cerci, so there were thirty-four Phantoms still inside Jason's Alternate Dimension. They all responded to the summons of their king and waited eagerly as Jason spoke with intensity.
'I want you to cover the entire length and breadth of Greenville if you have to, but bring me news about the [Banshee's Tears] before morning. Do you understand?'
[Yes, my King!]
The Phantoms all responded as one, and Jason watched as they all melted into the shadows and went to join Alpha and the other Phantoms in their search. Jason sent another message to Alpha and told her that she was still in command of the search team, so she had to make sure that none of them became distracted during the mission. Alpha eagerly responded that she understood! She would make sure that they found that artifact before the night was over!
Jason finally cut off the connection and let out a calm sigh to try to gather his energy. It had been a while since Jason felt any sort of drain in his stamina due to how quickly he was growing lately, but after everything that he had done today, his entire body felt like it was being held down by lead! Jason had gone through a Red Gate, fought against the Phantoms, gone through another Orange Gate, and then given orders to more than five hundred subordinates to carry out different functions. It was very taxing on Jason's mind, and even the boost granted by the [Stormheart] artifact wasn't enough to prevent him from feeling tired.
"Gina would kill me if she saw me pushing myself like this."
Jason felt the ghost of a smile appearing on his face when he thought about Gina, but the smile died out a few seconds later and he finally decided that he needed to get some rest. He was no good to anyone if he was this tired. Jason moved towards the wall in front of him and sat on the floor with a grunt while resting back against the wall! Now that Jason finally had some downtime, he decided it was time to gather information.
Jason turned to his system and asked it to tell him everything it could about the Lich. Jason knew that he could never fully prepare for a battle of this scale, but that doesn't mean he couldn't get as much information as possible. Anything about the world the Lich was staying in or the Lich's abilities would be useful. The system immediately responded.
[The system does not have specific information about this Lich or the world the Lich has taken as its residence, but the system possesses general knowledge concerning Liches and can provide this to the user instead. Would the user like to be provided with this information? Yes/No?]
Jason furrowed his brow. The system was talking like there were different methods for creating Liches. Does that mean someone actually made the Lich? Or did the Lich choose to give up its mortality? Jason shook his head and decided not to think about it too much. He told the system to give him the general information. It was better to have something than nothing at all.
The system immediately brought up a new tab and began to give a brief explanation.
[Liches are undead creatures born from the Magical Distortion that occurs when a Magical Soul is trapped between the realm of the living and the dead. They all possess extremely high Magical Capacity as well as a natural affinity for death and a special branch of magic known as Necrosis. From general knowledge, the Lich is known to be capable of splitting their soul into thousands of fragments and attaching these fragments to their subordinates to control them.]
Jason's eyes narrowed. The explanation for the Lich was similar to what Jason's Necromancer System did, but it was also very different at the same time.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC211: Plan of Action
Chapter 211: Plan of Action
Both the Lich and the Necromancer System could create subordinates, but Jason's system allowed Jason to control individual souls without having to compromise his own soul or mana, meanwhile, the Lich had to split his soul into thousands of pieces to create his own subordinates. Jason ran a hand through his hair as he thought for a few seconds before he asked the system a crazy question.
'Lichs are undead creatures, aren't they? Will my abilities work against their subordinates since they are already dead?'
The system actually paused for a moment when this question was asked, and Jason narrowed his eyes as he waited for a response. This was the most important thing right now! If Jason found out that this system was not going to work against the Lich's subordinates, then all of this might have just become a thousand times harder! Having to go through an entire horde of Rook Rank subordinates with his pawns and a few Rooks just didn't seem possible. Jason waited for an answer, and after a few seconds the system finally had one.
[The system is not certain of how the Necromancer System would react with the subordinates of the Lich. In past experiences, there have been times when the Necromancer System successfully retrieved the soul of a Necrosised creature from the [River of the Afterlife], and there have been times when the soul of a Necrosised creature could not be acquired. The user will not know the possibilities until he faces the Lich himself.]
'Well, fuck.'
Jason clicked his tongue as he turned to the side! His mind was racing at that moment and he didn't know what the hell he was going to do now. Jason had always had the confidence that he could resurrect any monster that he wanted in a Gate or battle, and that allowed him to go into battles with the full confidence that he would win in any stretched-out battle. It didn't matter how many soldiers you had because Jason would just keep resurrecting your allies until he outnumbered you. That was one of Jason's best strategies.
But the way things were now, Jason knew that he would have to come up with a new plan of action in case things didn't go his way. Jason had about seven hundred subordinates, and he had various attacking and defending types of monsters. The [Iron Bladed Falcon] were Jason's best ranged attackers, but they were also very high defense-based monsters. The [Adamantine Ant] and [Midnight Wolves] were great frontline fighters. The [Adamantine Ants] would help Jason to swarm the enemy relentlessly and the [Midnight Wolves] were creatures of pure brutality. The [Spidermonkeys] were strongest when they were attacking from mid-range. They were good at distracting and luring the enemy in before leaving the stronger members to cause more damage. And lastly, the superhumans and phantoms were going to be good as foot soldiers using their different Gifts.
Jason needed to first find a vantage point once he got to the Lich's world. If he stayed in an area that was too open, then he wouldn't be able to use his monsters properly. He needed a wall behind him so that he couldn't be attacked from behind, then he would launch a frontal attack with the [Adamantine Ants] and [Iron Bladed Falcons] so he could measure the strength of the enemies. The result of that first volley would determine how Jason would handle the rest of the battle.
If Jason could resurrect the Lich's subordinates, then he wouldn't change his regular attack pattern, but if he couldn't, then he was going to have to make up something new on the spot. He didn't know enough about the terrain or the Lich's power to form a plan now, but Jason was going to have to get at least one or two more Milestone Abilities for his pieces. If the Rooks and Pawns had one or two more abilities, then Jason would have more options.
'I also have to find the Lich as soon as possible. The system said that all the subordinates share fragments of his soul, so if I manage to kill him, then I'll be able to kill all of them, right?'
Jason asked this question to the system and the system responded.
[Yes, the user is correct. Eliminating the Lich will cut the connection he has with all his subordinates, and they will return to their deceased state.]
Jason's eyes narrowed as he thought about this, and he finally decided on his plan of action. This could be one of the most taxing battles of Jason's life and it was definitely the most important one that he had ever been in, but Jason didn't have the option of losing. Jason made a promise to Gina that he would protect her, and Jason didn't have any intention of going back on his word.
Jason let out another calm sigh as he bowed his head tiredly. Jason glanced into his Alternate Dimension to see Gina's peaceful, resting face once more and he immediately felt his eyes drifting shut as his tiredness took over and it wasn't long before he simply dozed off!
——
[Greenville]
The city of Greenville was a large, sprawling landscape that covered no less than five hundred square kilometres in landmass. It had once been regarded as one of the less important cities in the country due to the fact that it didn't have any important trade or commercial centers around it. It didn't have a port and there were no important trade routes that passed through it either, so most of the other cities around were seen to be more important! But all of that changed after the appearance of Gates.
The frequency of gate appearances all over the country was random and unpredictable, but after a few years, there was more than enough data to determine how often a Gate appeared in a city and what colors were the most frequent! And to the surprise of nearly everyone in the country, it was found that Greenville was not only the city with the highest number of gate appearances, but it also boasted more than sixty percent of all the Orange Gate appearances in the country!
This meant that an Orange Gate was nearly five times more likely to appear in Greenville than it was to appear in any other city out there! This was the reason why the largest guild in the country decided to take this unremarkable city as the base for their headquarters, and once they became the face of Greenville, the city's entire fortune changed! Now, there were more Guild bases in Greenville than in any other city in the country, and the number of Superhuman Agencies and Artefact Trading Companies that had taken Greenville as their base of operations was also higher than anywhere else!
Greenville was filled with sprawling skyscrapers, and it had an elaborate business center that boasted more than a hundred different agency buildings! It was this business center that the Phantoms made their way towards first.
Invisible figures moved along the dark shadows cast upon the city streets by the silver moonlight above. The city was still alive with civilians and businessmen who were either finding their way home or towards the nearest bar for a drink, but none of them were any wiser about the various figures moving through their city! Alpha kept her eyes narrowed in concentration as she easily passed from one shadow to the other. After a while, she stopped and sent a message to three of the Phantoms following her to break off and go into the guild building to her right. They were to search through the building for the Artefact and report back if they found anything. The three broke off and went to do as they were told and Alpha continued moving with the others.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC212: Bad Decisions
Chapter 212: Bad Decisions
Alpha had already sent five of the Phantosm towards the SMD branch here in Greenville. It was unlikely that the BloodRaven guild would sell their Artefacts to the government since they knew the government was taking a very high percentage from the sales, but it was still a possibility, so they had to investigate.
Alpha's current destination was the largest Artefacts Dealership in Greenville called 'Royal Armory.' It was a large corporation with branches all over the world, owned by an Arabian prince who had somehow managed to bring his business into the country. The Royal Armory wasn't like other Artefact Dealerships that went out looking for customers to patronize them. Instead, the Royal Armory dealt exclusively with guilds! That meant that before you could do business with them, you had to sign a contract that every single Artefact your guild found in a Gate would be sold to them!
This not only allowed Royal Armory to have good customer retention, but it also prevented any competing Artefact Dealership from being able to take their customers away from them! Jason didn't know if the Royal Armory was in contract with the BloodRaven guild, but if they were, then there was a very high likelihood that the Artefact would be in there!
Alpha reached the Royal Armory building and moved towards the alleyway beside the building along with the ten Phantoms that were still following her. She flowed out from the darkness and looked up at the building. There were more than thirty floors, and Alpha immediately decided they had to split up. The entire building belonged to Royal Armory, so they would need to search through every single floor!
"Each person takes three floors and sweeps through it. We cannot disappoint our king, so make sure you report anything you find. Go."
Alpha watched as all ten Phantosm fell into the shadow once more and began moving up the building. Alpha felt a great amount of anxiety in her heart as she hoped this building would have what they had been looking for! Alpha had sensed the turmoil in the King's heart and felt sad that they weren't able to make him feel better! She couldn't disappoint the King anymore, so the Artefact had to be here! Alpha quickly melted into the shadow as well and headed inside the building to begin her search!
...
[Within the Orange Gate that appeared in New Jersey]
Things had gone very wrong very quickly for the superhumans who were hired by the New Jersey government to handle the Orange Gate. The Orange Gate was called the [Swamp Viper's Pit], and just like the name suggests, the monsters inside the gate were giant, man-eating vipers that would put the fear of God into the body of even veteran A Ranks! Each viper was more than thirty feet long and their fangs were as thick as a man's arm! They had midnight-black skin and their eyes were a deep red! They were the perfect killing machine and clearing the Gate would have been a difficult job for any Guild without any S Rank superhumans, but that wasn't where the issues began!
The group sent into the Orange Gate was made up of two guilds: an A Rank and a B Rank guild. The A Rank guild was known as the Lightbringers, and they were led by an A Rank supporter-type superhuman who could boost the base attributes of the members of his guild by up to thirty percent! He was a proud, pompous man who believed everyone lower than him had to follow his every order or he would not support them during a fight. But there was no denying his ability and power, so everyone around him simply put up with his personality and did whatever he told them.
The second guild that went into the gate was the same guild that had been tasked with clearing out the Red Gate that Jason was dragged into before he gained his abilities. The Hornet Guild and their leader, Madam Rose, had been contacted by the government and told to join the Lightbringers guild. The first reason they were given this gate was because the government wanted to compensate them for the Red Gate that was cleared by Jason. The Hornet Guild had already been given that Red Gate to clear, but since Jason ended up clearing it, they did not make any profits from the Gate. But the second reason was that the Hornet Guilds needed to provide some much-needed physical support for the Lightbringer guild. The Lightbringers had three A Rank superhumans: one was an emitter, the second was a brawler, and the leader was a supporter. Meanwhile, the Hornet guild was made up of only Brawlers and Emitters, so the two guilds were well balanced.
The two guilds had met up outside the Gate and they discused plans and strategies on how to move towards the Gate Boss, but the moment the guilds moved through the Gate, all their plans flew out the window as immediately landed in a large swamp that almost swallowed them because of how fucking deep it was! They all struggled to make their way towards a large tree with floating roots that they could stand on, but as they moved, one of the superhumans from the Hornet's guild ended up being captured by one of the large vipers in the swamp! The woman screamed in fear as she was almost dragged under, but a man from the Lightbringers guild immediately went to her aid! He tried to fight the viper but simply ended up being captured as well! Both of them would have died there, but the man decided to save the woman instead of himself and allowed her to swim to the surface while he ended up being dragged under the swamp by the large vipers.
The other superhumans had to fight off more of the vipers that were hiding inside the swamp, but they somehow managed to get to the floating root without losing any more members. The A Rank leader of the Lightbringers immediately went into a rant about how the Hornet guild was responsible for the death of his guild member. He claimed that they were supposed to be keeping an eye out for any monsters that snuck up on them and they weren't doing their job properly! Obviously, Madam Rose didn't take kindly to this, and she told the leader of the Lightbringers to shut the fuck up! They all fell into the swamp at the same time, so how was the Hornet guild supposed to know what would have happened!? It was just bad luck that made her guild member get captured!
This didn't sit right with the leader of the Lightbringers who hated it when anyone weaker than him confronted him about his orders, so the leader immediately announced that he would not be providing any support for the Hornet guild and told his guild members to begin moving separately from the Hornet guild since they were no longer working together! This singular moment was what sentenced both of these guilds to the horrors they would face in the future.
The two guild leaders were headstrong and shortsighted, and so they both refused to be the bigger person and apologize. Madam Rose believed she was not at fault and the leader of the Lightbringers also believed he was not at fault, so why should either one of them have to apologize!? Together, the two guilds would have been able to put up a much better fight against the vipers. The vipers were strong, but that didn't mean they were invincible. If the guilds had lured the vipers out of their swamp or if they had launched a joint attack, then they would have gotten through the viper horde with some effort since the Lightbringer's leader could boost everyone's stats significantly. But now that both guilds were alone, they stood no chance!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC213: The Calvary is Here
Chapter 213: The Calvary is Here
Within the first five minutes of fighting in the Orange Gate, five more superhumans had died! The Lightbringers guild leader was putting up a good fight against the Vipers with his members, but they were being overwhelmed by the sheer number of Vipers that were inside the swamp! They had already killed more than ten vipers, but it didn't seem like the vipers were slowing down at all! In fact, the more vipers they killed, the more of them seemed to be coming! The Lightbringers leader realized that maybe he had been a bit too rash in his decision, and he thought about going back to team up with the Hornet guild, but the two guilds were already too far from each other, so it was going to be difficult to pass through all the monsters in their way!
The Hornet guild, meanwhile, were waiting on a platform far enough from the Lightbringer guild while trying to make sure no vipers could reach them! Madam Rose knew that her guild didn't stand a chance against any of the monsters inside this gate! The Vipers were high-level C Rank and B Rank monsters while her guild was made up mainly of D, C, and low-level B ranks. They would be eradicated if they even tried to fight against the monsters, so the best thing they could do now was to try and wait out the fighting. The Lightbringers were putting up a good fight against the monsters and that made most of the vipers go in their direction, so if the Hornet guild waited long enough, then they might find an opening to get out of there!
Madam Rose already planned on filing a lawsuit against the leader of the Lightbringers once she got back to Earth, but she had to first make sure that her guild members made it back in one piece! As time went on, the fighting intensified and the death toll continued to rise. Madam Rose and some members of the Hornets were forced to finally join the battle since the Lightbringers were losing quickly, but things had already gotten out of control and it was obvious that they were all going to die!
Madam Rose used her flaming fist to blast another viper back into the swamp and she looked around with a worried expression as her group members teamed up to fight some of the monsters! The Lightbringers' leader had finally started to provide support for everyone, but it didn't seem like it was doing much good at all! Their initial plan of attack was already useless, so it was easy for the monsters to break through any formation they made! From what Madam Rose had seen, there were close to two hundred vipers in this swamp, and Madam Rose knew there was no chance they would be able to win against that many monsters!
'We haven't even seen the Boss of the gate yet! And there are always stronger monsters guarding the Boss, so we're still fighting against the mobs! This is a disaster!'
Madam Rose felt dread building in her heart as this thought crossed her mind. Was this really where she would die? If she had known that the Lightbringers' leader would be so difficult to work with, then she would have declined this Gate request! She knew her guide wasn't strong enough to go into an Orange Gate, and when she first heard that the government wanted to give them this Gate to clear, she had obviously been skeptical, but she thought that having an A Rank guide with them would even the odds and make things easier! Madam Rose realised that her greed and the stupidity of the Lightbringer's Leader was going to cost them all their lives! )
But before she could lose all hope, Madam Rose saw something strange move across the swamp surface. It looked like a shadow to her, but she had no idea what it really was and she could only watch and wait while moving into a defensive stance in case it was an enemy! The shadow crept across the swamp surface and headed towards a group of vipers that were completely oblivious to its presence, and Madam Rose couldn't believe her eyes when she saw a large ant with silvery armored skin burst out from the shadow and grab the vipers in its tough mandibles! The ant tore the vipers to shreds and then released a loud screech that shook the Gate down to its core!
SCREEECHHH!!
The snakes all zeroed in on the ant once they heard that screech and they all began to head towards it, but they didn't go far before more monsters began to emerge from the shadows and attacked all the vipers with a ferocity that Madam Rose had never seen before! Large ants and spider-monkeys began to fight against the vipers and Madam Rose couldn't believe what she was seeing.
"Are those monsters... fighting against other monsters?"
One of the guild members from the Hornet guild was able to articulate all of Madam Rose's thoughts into that one question, and for a moment, Madam Rose began to wonder if her fear was making her go insane! Up in the air above the swamp, various white-winged falcons could be seen circling the swamp with ferocity. Madam Rose wondered if they had landed in the middle of some monster dispute, but she shook that thought out of her head. The monsters weren't attacking them, so they weren't enemies.
'Are these summoned monsters?'
Madam Rose immediately turned around and looked at all the summoners that they had in the guild, and she knew that it was impossible for any of them to summon monsters that were this strong! Her guild members weren't even strong enough to fight off Disaster Rank monsters on their own! But if it wasn't them, then who was it? Madam Rose turned back to the monsters and watched as they tore the snakes apart with ease! Some of them were also being killed by the vipers, but that didn't matter since each time one of them died, it was like another identical monster appeared in their place and took over for them!
The falcons in the sky let out loud cries as they began to swoop down to the ground, and Madam Rose's eyes widened when she saw the Falcons bring their wings close to their bodies and angle themselves downwards to make themselves more aerodynamic before they shot into the lake like missiles!
Twoom! Twoom! Twoom!
The Falcons absolutely eradicated tens of vipers all at the same time and Madam Rose had to raise her hand up to her face to block the wave of swamp water that washed over the region from their impact! Madam Rose turned back after she was sure that the falcons were no longer diving down and she watched as the large Silver Ant continued its monstrous rampage across the region! It was like watching some sort of movie! Madam Rose had seen summoned monsters fighting against other monsters before, but it had only been one or two monsters at a time. There were no superhumans alive who should be capable of summoning this many monsters at the same time!
'And they're so strong. That ant... it's as strong as an Eldritch rank. No, it's stronger than that! I need to find out who is doing this. If I can get that person to join my guild, then we will be unstoppable!"
This thought was not only going through Madam Rose's mind. Even the leader of the Lightbringers who was watching the fight play out from the other side of the swamp felt like he was seeing something unbelievable! He knew that this was not normal, and he was desperate to find out who was behind this!
Screech!
The leader of the Lightbringers suddenly jolted when he heard a loud screech coming from right behind him! He turned around in shock, and he saw that a large Adamantine Ant had come over to him and his guild members, and it was currently towering over them in all its glory! He swallowed in fear and wondered what it was going to do!

Chapter 214: Absolute Craziness
The leader swallowed at the sheer size of the beast towering over him and immediately raised his hand and told his guild members to wait when one of them tried to launch an attack. If the monster wanted to kill them, they would be dead already! It was obvious that this was something else!
The Adamantine Ant screeched again before it turned and began to walk away. It used its head to gesture in the direction it was going, and the superhuman realized that it was telling them to follow it. This was definitely not normal! Was it really okay to listen to a monster's orders? The leader of the Lightbringers turned towards where the Hornet guild had been and saw that they had already begun following another ant that was leading them away from the fight. He took in a calming breath and decided to simply trust his instincts for now.
"Come on, let's go."
The leader told his guild members to follow him as he began walking behind the ant, and the guild members only hesitated for a few more seconds before they also began to follow the adamantine ant.

[Jason's Apartment]
Jason's eyes slowly opened as the sound of new notifications flooded his system. The light coming through the window cast a half shadow across the floor of his new apartment, and for a second, Jason wondered where the hell he was. But then everything returned to him, and he calmly blinked himself back to the present. He put his hand to his neck and cracked it to the side to wake himself up.
"Mmh..."
A low voice came from beside him and Jason looked to his side to see that Riyala had come down to the living room at some point during the night. She was sitting on the floor, and her body was angled toward him in a way that made it easy for her to rest her head on his shoulder. Jason could remember when she came down, but he had been too tired to tell her to go back upstairs, so he remembered just letting her do whatever she wanted. Jason released a calm sigh and ignored her before turning back to his system tabs. Jason could tell that his subordinates were making quick work of the monsters in the Orange Gate, and he was glad they were able to fight properly even though he wasn't there. The notification about them killing the Gate Boss had not yet come in, so Jason knew they weren't done with the Gate, but he could feel that a few of his subordinates were dead.
Jason immediately activated the [Eye of The King] so he could see through Raya's eyes and he hummed as he saw that she was currently fighting against a giant black snake. The snake was at least seventy feet long and had sharp fangs that looked thick enough to tear through a building! Its eyes were a piercing blood red, and it fought with a ferocity unlike anything Jason had ever seen!
But even though it was strong, it was nowhere near as strong as Riyala! Riyala had taken charge of the battle and she was dealing with the giant snake all on her own while the rest of the Legion were handling the multiple smaller snakes around the area.
'There shouldn't be a problem since all the Rooks are still alive. They can handle the Boss and his subordinates on their own.'
Jason changed his view to that of one of the Pawn Rank II subordinates who was guarding the superhumans who had been trapped in the Gate, and Jason hummed in surprise when he saw Madam Rose there. Jason remembered her from the brief interaction they had when he first got his powers, and he was surprised that a B Rank guild managed to go into an Orange Gate. The system said that there were two guilds inside, so Jason was sure that at least one of them would be an A Rank guild. It was suicide for two B Rank guilds to even think of entering an Orange Gate alone!
Jason just made sure that all the guild members there didn't need any immediate medical attention before he ignored them and turned back to the fight between Raya and the large Viper Boss. The boss had wrapped its long body around Raya and was trying to squeeze her to death, but Raya was strong enough to create enough space for her to move her head and hence she used her mandibles to tear through the Viper's side! The Viper hissed in pain as it retreated, but Raya didn't give it any chance to escape as she immediately pounced on it to continue the fight!
Jason turned off the [Eye of the King] once he was sure Raya was not going to lose the fight and he was about to wake Riyala up when he heard a knock at the door.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Jason turned sharply towards the door, and his eyes immediately narrowed. He tapped Riyala gently while telling her to wake up, and Riyala's red eyes fluttered open in confusion before widening once she realized where she was!
"I'm sorry, I didn't—"
Jason immediately put his hand over Riyala's mouth and told her to be quiet. Riyala's blush increased when Jason touched her, but she could see the seriousness in his eyes and she finally nodded calmly. Jason looked towards the door again before he told one of his subordinates to go and see who was there. The Dragonborn soldier in Jason's Legion moved through the shadows and appeared outside the front door to give Jason a good view, and Jason felt his brow rise in surprise when he saw the people there.
'What the hell?'
Jason stood up and went to open the door. He gave the two people there a curious look and wondered what the hell they were doing here. One of them was Juliet Rapha. She was wearing a clean black suit and carrying a bag in front of her, and she had an apologetic smile on her face as she looked up at him. But the other person there was someone he didn't expect to see for a long time.
"Griselda?"
Griselda, the girl from Jason's school who had been asking him to join her future guild, was standing beside Juliet with a confident look on her face. She was carrying a folder in her hands and Jason could already tell she would give him a headache before she even opened her mouth! Jason understood why Juliet would be there since she was Jason's agent. It was obvious that they would have been looking for him after everything that happened yesterday. But Jason had no idea what Griselda was doing there. Jason looked over at Griselda and spoke with narrowed eyes.
"What the hell are you doing here? And how the fuck did you even know where I was?"
Griselda immediately walked forward confidently while saying,
"I heard about your exploits on the news, and I had to come see you before any other guilds tried to take you in! After everything that happened, I'm finally ready to take you in as a member of my guild!"
Jason's expression shifted to one of absolute confusion before he finally allowed his gaze to shift over to Juliet. Jason's expression told Juliet that he was demanding an explanation for this craziness!

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC215: A Perfect Life
Chapter 215: A Perfect Life
Jason's expression shifted to one of absolute confusion before he finally allowed his gaze to shift over to Juliet. Jason's expression told Juliet that he was demanding an explanation for this craziness! She was the only one who should be able to get his address since she was his manager, so there was no doubt that Jason was blaming her for Griselda being there! Juliet sighed.
"Sorry for all this, I met her at the SMD building, and she somehow knew I was your manager. She wouldn't let me go unless I brought her along. It's just a long story. Can I come in, please?"
For a split second, Jason actually thought about just sending them both away. But he eventually decided to hear them out and he turned to walk back inside while waving for them to follow him. Griselda followed after Jason first with a pompous air around her, but she stopped in her tracks when she saw Riyala walk out from the living room.
Riyala was still wearing her long coat, but her hood was down, so her exotic features, like her red eyes and the scales on her cheek and neck, were exposed for everyone to see! Juliet took a step back in shock and Griselda put a hand on her cheek in curiosity as they simply stared. Jason pointed to Riyala and introduced her without missing a beat.
"This is Riyala, a friend of mine. She doesn't speak English since she's from far away, so don't feel bad if she doesn't understand what you're saying."
Jason then introduced the group to Riyala, and Riyala bowed respectfully to them in that proper way that only a member of royalty could perform. Griselda was immediately impressed by Riyala's action and she made a happy sound while bowing to Riyala as well and greeting her respectfully, but Juliet still looked confused.
Juliet frowned and said,
"When you say 'far away,' does that mean like another continent? Those scales on her cheek and her eyes... is that some sort of superhuman ability?"
Jason nodded and gave a simple 'yes,' and it seemed to be enough of an explanation to make both of them feel more comfortable. Jason then ushered them towards the living room while talking.
"Sorry there's no furniture to offer you guys, I just moved here."
Griselda threw her hair over her shoulder stylishly before walking over to the wall and leaning back on it. She folded her arms and gave Jason a meaningful look.
"We don't need furniture for our conversation. This is fine."
Jason chuckled at Griselda's love for being dramatic and he finally turned to speak to Juliet first.
"So why'd you come to see me? Did something happen?"
Juliet sighed as she brought up her handbag and began to search through a number of folders. Did something happen? Hah! That was rich coming from the man who had been riding on a dragon just yesterday! Juliet didn't even know where to start right now! Ever since yesterday, Juliet had been going through files and files of potential lawsuits and sanctions in both the SMD archives and the Enforcers archives!
Although Jason didn't commit any direct crimes, it was still a big deal for him to have hidden his actual abilities from the government the way he did. But thankfully, the government didn't seem like they were going to make a big deal out of it, so Juliet didn't have to do much to cover Jason's mistakes. The only thing that they were mandated to do was to pay for the damages done to the buildings during the incident. Juliet produced a file and handed it to Jason, and Jason began to read through it while Juliet spoke.
"I managed to get the cost estimate for the SMD building you damaged as well as the other fines. It's a bit steep, but it should be possible for you to cover it without issues if you pay in installments. There's also been a lot of calls from guilds asking you to join, but I diverted those and made sure they would wait until you make a public announcement – which I advise you do soon. And there's also the issue of reaching you. I had to go through a lot of channels to find your address. Your phone wasn't connecting."
Jason nodded along to Juliet's words, and once he heard the last part, he said:
"My phone broke in a fight."
Juliet sighed and she reached into her bag and produced a new phone for him. Juliet told him that she thought that was the case and she had already put a new SIM and some important contacts on the phone. Juliet would call the service provider later and tell them to divert all of Jason's calls to this new phone. Jason took it and thanked her before he went back to reading the file. Juliet knew that the amount printed at the bottom was actually very steep, and she wouldn't be surprised if Jason told her to try and bring it down. If Jason paid that all at once, it would be nearly half of his entire networth!
But Juliet was surprised when Jason spoke.
"Alright, the fines aren't too bad. I'll send it all at once. I also need you to reach out to Keith Ledger. He's an A Rank in the Enforcers. Ask him how much he is being fined for his actions yesterday and add that to my payment as well."
Juliet collected the files back from Jason with wide eyes.
"Wait... really? But I was thinking we can do it in installments so it wouldn't affect you."
Jason shook his head. He wasn't interested in owing the government for longer than he needed to. Jason reached into his Alternate Dimension and he pulled out a bag of Magic Crystals that he handed over to Juliet. Juliet opened the bag and her eyes widened in shock when she saw that it was filled with more than three hundred Magic Crystals!
'Where the hell does he keep getting these from!?'
Jason put his hand in his pocket and spoke.
"That's fifty large, two hundred medium, and five hundred small crystals. You can count them later. Take the fine out of my cut and send the rest of the deposit to my account. Also, there's this..."
Jason reached into his Alternate Dimension again and pulled out a single Gold Coin before handing it to Juliet as well.
"Help me find out how much that's worth."
Juliet simply stood in place like a statue. She was holding a bag of crystals in one hand and in her other hand, she was holding a large Gold Coin that she knew would cost thousands of dollars on the market! She looked up at Jason's nonchalant face and at that moment she had an insane thought cross her mind.
'I want to marry this man.'
Juliet could already see the amazing life she would have if she were married to Jason. Jason was tall, handsome, and he could make money faster than nearly anyone she knew! Just this bag of crystals alone would make Jason well over one hundred and sixty million dollars richer! It would be a perfect life! Jason would make money for them, and she would handle their finances as a stay-at-home wife! They could have three children and she would give him all the love and care he wanted!
Jason raised a curious brow when he saw that Juliet was just staring at him in a dazed trance. There was a red blush spreading on her face and Jason had to ask her if she was okay! Juliet's blush suddenly increased in intensity when she realized what she was doing and she shook her head as she came back to reality! She had completely gotten lost in that dream! Juliet put the Gold Coin and Crystals in her bag while talking quickly.
"I-I'll need to make some calls to know the price of the Gold Coin, but I'll do the numbers and send you the receipt for the Crystals immediately. But, uhm... Are you okay, Jason?"

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC216: The Perfect Shield
Chapter 216: The Perfect Shield
"Uhm... Are you okay?"
Jason turned to face Juliet when she suddenly asked this question, and Juliet held her bag in front of her nervously while talking in a more understanding tone.
"I saw the news about your house burning down and everything. It must've been hard for you and your girlfriend."
Jason hummed calmly as he turned to the side and saw that Griselda was also looking at him worriedly. He just waved away their concern and told them that he was fine. It was just a house that burned down, so it wasn't a big deal. Besides, he had already planned on moving to a new place before everything happened, so it wasn't like he didn't have anywhere to go.
Jason's dismissive attitude only made Juliet more worried since she knew that Jason was not the sort of person to talk about his feelings, but she could tell that Jason wasn't interested in sharing what happened, so she nodded along and excused herself as she began making a call for someone to pick up the crystal and Gold Coin.
"I think it was the work of some rival guild that found out you already promised to join my guild."
Griselda was the one who spoke from her place against the wall. Jason turned to see that she had a sagely look on her face, like some sort of wise man on a mountain giving wisdom to his student. Jason asked her what the hell she was talking about, and Griselda continued.
"Those other guilds are just jealous of us! Don't worry, Jason. I know things were hard, but you can rest easy now. I'll make sure they never try something like that again!"
Jason gave Griselda a look of absolute confusion.
'What the hell is this crazy girl talking about?'
Griselda looked so assured of herself at that moment as she began to nod in self-satisfaction, and Jason decided that she was just insane. Jason already knew that Griselda was trying to recruit him into her guild, but he still hadn't changed his mind about joining any guilds. He just wasn't interested.
"I thought I told you I wasn't joining your guild? And how do you even have a guild? You're not a superhuman."
Jason gave Griselda a curious look, and Griselda's lips spread into a confident smile as she thrust a piece of paper towards Jason!
"You're looking at the youngest person to ever create a Guild in history! The chaos in the SMD over the past few hours allowed me to get into the system using my connections and register a guild before anyone could do a proper profile check! I had to pay more than a hundred thousand dollars in bribes, but I did it!"
Jason took the paper and read through it, and he couldn't help but be impressed when he saw that it was actually a real guild registration invoice! Griselda had somehow managed to register a guild in the past few hours. The guild was called 'Griselda's Guild,' and Jason couldn't help but chuckle when he read that name. The guild had two members already. One of them was Griselda, and the other one was him. But his name had the words 'pending registration' written beside it. The process for registering a guild wasn't that difficult since the government wanted as many guilds as possible for fairness, but the guild would still need to have at least one registered superhuman before it could be recognized as a real guild.
Jason's eyes trailed towards another paper, and his expression changed into one of amused disbelief when he saw that Griselda had already started to fill out a guild registration form for him. This woman was insane. Absolutely batshit crazy! Griselda must've done this because she wasn't a registered superhuman. She used Jason's name there to ensure the system wouldn't flag the registration as incomplete. It was crazy, but Jason couldn't deny it was also genius. It was just too bad that he still wasn't interested in joining a guild.
But Jason just couldn't believe that Griselda had chosen her own name as the name of the guild. Jason turned to her with a raised brow and an amused smile.
"You chose 'Griselda's Guild' as the name? Really?"
Griselda's cheeks lit up in righteous embarrassment, and she huffed while turning away to make sure Jason couldn't see the effect his words had on her!
"I don't see what's wrong with putting yourself first. Besides, I think it's a good name."
Jason laughed while stretching the papers back towards Griselda.
"Sorry, Griselda. I'm just not interested in this right now—"
"Actually, I think Griselda's idea isn't a bad one."
Juliet suddenly came towards Jason from the side and spoke seriously, and Jason turned to her and asked what the hell she was talking about. Juliet had just gotten off the phone with some people in the SMD, and she heard that the enforcers were carrying out an operation on the BloodRaven guild because of their attack on Jason. Even though the rest of the world thought the raid was only because the BloodRaven had tried to assassinate Jason, Juliet knew that it was far more significant than that.
The BloodRaven guild was a pillar of the country and they were seen as one of the most important guilds in their entire country due to the prestige and financial benefits that they brought. There were a lot of things that the government simply allowed them to get away with because of their status! So the mere fact that the government was going after them now meant that the government had chosen to side with someone they believed would become even more important than the BloodRaven guild. They had chosen to side with Jason.
But there was still going to be a lot of yellow tape to jump over in the coming weeks due to the fact that Jason was just a single superhuman. The government would be hesitant to go all the way against the BloodRaven guild, and people would begin to point fingers at Jason since he was just a single individual. It would become a case of Jason against all of those who were on the side of the BloodRaven guild. But that would be completely different if Jason were in a guild. Guilds were not just organizations that gave superhumans the freedom to dive into Gates, they were also shields that protected superhumans when they needed it.
Juliet was still worried that the number of crystals Jason was bringing to her, along with the sheer amount of propaganda surrounding him, would cause problems in the future. But if Jason was already part of a guild, then all of that could be easily covered up. Why did Jason have so many crystals? Well, they aren't Jason's crystals, they are the guild's crystals. Why does Jason have an issue with the BloodRaven guild even after everything they have done for the country? Well, Jason doesn't have an issue with them, Jason's guild has an issue with them. It was the perfect way to prevent personal drama for Jason.
"Having a guild backing you will make a lot of your problems go away without you having to lift a finger. Whenever you hear about guilds having difficulties with other guilds, it's usually because one or more members of the guilds have issues with each other. But the media takes it as a general problem and that prevents superhumans from having any personal propaganda. It's the perfect shield."

Chapter 217: Jason's Guild
"But the media takes it as a general problem, and that prevents superhumans from having any personal propaganda. It's the perfect shield."
Juliet said this while folding her hands, and Griselda immediately stepped forward to add to it.
"Yeah, you won't have any more issues in the superhuman world if you join my guild!"
Juliet nodded.
"You have a problem with BloodRaven right now, but if you are a part of a guild, that problem immediately becomes a guild issue rather than an individual issue. Anything you do to them can be covered up by saying it was done by the guild."
Griselda immediately turned to Juliet in shock.
"Wait, what? BloodRaven? Who has issues with BloodRaven!?"
Griselda had no idea that Jason was having issues with BloodRaven, so this was still news to her! BloodRaven was the largest guild in the country! Did Juliet think a new guild would survive having issues with a guild of that size!?
But Juliet didn't even bother turning to Griselda as she watched Jason seriously. Jason had a small frown on his face, and he seemed to be thinking about things. Juliet knew that if Jason didn't actually want this, then there was no way she could convince him of it, but she also knew that it would make things far easier for them in the future. Juliet took the paper from Jason and read through it quickly before she spoke again.
"With a guild like this, you won't even have to worry about them making any fraudulent claims. You weren't the one who created it, so you won't take any heat from the government. We'll need to change the guild's name, and you have to be the Guild Leader for it to work, but other than that, everything else is perfect."
"Hold up! Who said anything about him being the captain!? I'm the one who gets the captain position!"
Griselda suddenly shouted as she came forward, and Juliet frowned at her.
"You don't really think that other guilds will respect anything this guild has to say if he isn't the captain, do you? The entire reason why you put his name there is because you knew he was going to bring recognition to your guild. If he isn't the captain, then no one will take you seriously."
"But—"
Griselda was about to speak, but Juliet cut her off.
"Think about this seriously. This isn't some game anymore; this is the real world with real giants waiting to devour you if you show any weakness. You know I'm right."
This made Griselda stop in her tracks, and she frowned and stomped her foot in annoyance! She had been waiting to be the captain of this guild for more than eight years! Why would she give it up when she was already so close? Griselda knew that Jason was the better candidate for the captaincy, but she was just so headstrong about taking the position that she couldn't see any sense!
Juliet raised the paper toward Jason and spoke to him professionally.
"I know I am just your agent and I am only here to give you advice, but I believe with all my heart that this is the best course of action. Take this guild and build it into your shield. It'll solve fifty percent of your problems before they even become problems."

The user has killed the Boss of the Orange Gate [Swamp Viper's Haven].

This message suddenly appeared in Jason's system, and Jason released a calming sigh as he realized that his subordinates were done clearing out the gate. Jason sent a mental message to the Legion and told them to begin collecting the Magic Crystals from the monsters, and he also told them to gather all the dead monsters that they had killed together so that he could resurrect them when he arrived. Raya responded that she understood the orders, and Jason cut off the connection and faced Juliet once again. She was still waiting for his answer, and Jason decided to really think about this. Jason had been saying he didn't want to join a guild all this while because he just didn't want to deal with all the problems that came with being in one.
From what Jason had seen on social media, guilds were usually always involved in one form of drama or another. Either one guild member has a beef with another guild member, or there would be issues between two guilds. Even Gina's guild, the Panthers, which was only a C-Rank guild, also had their fair share of drama on the internet! And all the things Gina had told him about the members of the guild made it harder for him to want to join any of them! It was just pointless nonsense, and Jason knew that he didn't want to be a part of all that. But if Juliet was saying that he needed to have a guild, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be part of one. And joining a small guild like this in just name alone might be the best option for him.
"But do I have to be the captain? I'm not really going to be present all the time since I'm only joining in name, so maybe someone else should be the captain."
Juliet shook her head.
"It has to be you. There are too many benefits that will come with having you as the leader that we wouldn't have with anyone else. If you aren't the captain, then you might as well not be in the guild at all."
Jason turned to Griselda and spoke calmly.
"I know you've wanted this for a long time. Are you okay with this?"
Griselda still had a frown on her face as she stared at the floor. Griselda had listened to everything that Juliet said and she could tell that Juliet wasn't trying to take the captaincy away from her just for the sake of it. She actually had a justifiable reason for wanting Jason to be the captain of the guild. But that doesn't mean that she was happy about it! She had worked hard to register the guild, and she was the one who found the loophole that allowed her to create a guild so quickly! She even had to give up the new car she always wanted in order to convince her dad to help her sneak the registration through the system!
'But is this really that bad?'
Griselda's face morphed into one of slight confusion as this thought crossed her mind. Since the start, Griselda's dream had been to create her own guild. She always assumed that she would also be the captain since she was the one who created it, but creating the guild was what she really wanted. Jason was not going to be involved in the guild politics since he wasn't interested in all that, so Griselda would still be the one dealing with most of the internal and external affairs of the guild! This had always been Griselda's dream, but there was no dream that came to you the way you envisioned it. At times, you had to make compromises to achieve what you wanted!
Griselda took in a deep breath before she huffed proudly and smiled at Jason!
"Fine then, Mr. Captain! I'll be lenient and take the position of Guild Owner! But you better lead the guild properly, or I'll fire you immediately! And we're also not changing the name."
Jason scoffed.
"We're not using that name."
Griselda's deflated in despair!
"But why!? It's a good name!"
Jason gave Griselda an amused look, and after a while, Griselda finally threw her hand up in exasperation!
"Fine! Do whatever you want! It's not like I made the guild or anything! It's not even my guild anymore! We might as well call it Jason's Guild now!"
Griselda folded her hands and pouted in irritation, and Jason just chuckled at her dramatic action.
