STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC251: Aura of Destruction

Chapter 251: Aura of Destruction

"You're a monster! An Avaran abomination! I thought all of you had been wiped out of existence, but it appears that the Primordials missed a few rats! You and your kind are nothing but a bane to the Primordial Expanse! A virus that never stops! You go around killing and consuming for power like it is your birthright! Even now you are still doing the same!"

Jason's brow furrowed for a second as he heard all of this! Jason had never heard about his race in this way before. From what his father told him, Jason thought that the Avaran were a peaceful race that only fought back against those who wanted to oppress them! If this Lich was telling the truth, then that would mean that this race wasn't peaceful at all! They were actually conquerors. But that wasn't important right now! Jason easily shook that thought out of his head as he felt the Lich's mana rising once again! A magic circle appeared in the air right behind Jason, and Jason turned around sharply and placed the Lich in the path of the spell he shot out toward him!

BOOM!

The Lich cried out as the dark spell impacted him, and it was only because he was already dead that he didn't immediately wither and die! Jason tossed the Lich towards a large rock in the distance, and the Lich released another cry as Jason put his hand out and summoned thousands of swords all around him!

Woosh!

Ratatatatatatatat!!

The swords began to fly towards the Lich like bullets, and Jason slowly walked forward as he continued bombarding the Lich nonstop! An explosion went off behind Jason as Ragnar finally brought down the giant ogre, and Jason heard Ragnar let out a loud cry in victory! Jason's vision travelled towards the fight happening between his Legion and the subordinates of the Lich, and Jason grinned when he saw that the Lich's subordinates were slowly being pushed back by his subordinates. Jason's mana was low, but it was quickly being replenished, so Jason knew that he could keep going all day if he needed to! It was time to end this once and for all!

The rain of swords finally stopped, and Jason saw that the Lich was barely standing! The Lich had used up all of its defensive artefacts to protect against Jason's attack, but it was still unable to fully block all the swords! One of the Lich's arms as well as the right side of its skull had broken off, and Jason watched as the Lich fell to it's knee. The Lich's eyes traveled from Jason over to his dead ogre, and it knew that there was nothing it could do to defeat Jason! Jason was stronger, faster, and had more subordinates than him! It had taken him more than five years to create that giant ogre and it was on the same level as a high-level S Rank, but it couldn't even touch Jason once!

Was this really how it's life was going to end? All that hard work and dedication. All those sleepless nights that it spent working on advancing its Necrosis magic and making sure that its test subjects were properly used! Was it really going to allow some Avaran bastard to kill and consume him like he was some sort of fucking meal!? Of course he wasn't! He was Logof! Lord of the dead and master of Necrosis! He was not going to die to some mere Avaran scum!

Doon!

The Lich's jaws split into a feral grin as his chest suddenly began to shine with a dark light, and Jason's eyes narrowed when he felt the entire area surge with a feeling of death and despair! The dark light in the Lich's chest increased in intensity. Jason quickly summoned a sword while sending a message out to Ragnar and telling him to get ready for an attack! Ragnar immediately accepted the order, and Jason threw his sword expertly towards the Lich's chest and watched as it slammed into the dark light that was shining there! The sword pinned the Lich to the wall behind it, but the Lich only laughed as the light continued to increase in intensity! The Lich was only an S Rank in strength, but Jason could tell that the mana it was gathering was far above SS Rank! Where the hell was all this coming from!?

"I am Logof! Student of Forgo and the master of death! I refuse to fall into the River of the Afterlife alone, so I'll take you there with me! Run, you bastard Avaran! Run as far as you can! But you will not be able to escape the range of this attack!"

The Lich quickly began to gather more power from the River of the Afterlife! This was a skill that the Lich had been preparing for decades now! It allowed the Lich to fire a blast of pure mana from its chest that would destroy everything around it. But the mana it was firing was not normal mana that could easily be deflected! This was mana that the Lich gathered directly from the River of the Afterlife, and its power was many times higher than what the Lich could produce on his own! The Lich had been researching how to reach the River of the Afterlife all his life, and this was the best he could do in the time that he had! He swore that he was going to use every drop of power he had gathered to ensure Jason didn't make it out of here alive!

Jason could feel the increase in mana suddenly rising to abnormal levels, and he didn't waste any time as he immediately took a step back and fell into the shadows before dashing away from the attack's blast zone! The Lich's eyes widened in shock from the new move and he was too stunned to do anything as Ragnar appeared from above and let out a world-shaking roar! The dragon opened its mouth, and the air in front of it pulsed with power before it finally released a blast of pure destruction towards the Lich!

KA-TOOM!

The Lich looked up in shock when he saw the fire coming toward him, and he cried out as the mana overload in its chest became too great! The Lich's chest puffed outwards like a balloon, and at the moment Ragnar's attack landed, the Lich exploded!

BOOM!

A fiery aura spread across the entire area and slammed into Ragnar like a freight train! Ragnar immediately disintegrated into millions of little pieces and fell to the floor like ash, and the aura of destruction continued forward as it destroyed everything for miles in every direction and turned it to ash! The body of the giant that had been lying at the side, as well as the Falcons that Jason had been switching places with, were also disintegrated, and it wasn't until it had destroyed more than five miles in every direction that the aura of destruction finally stopped!

A few seconds passed with no sound being heard in the area before Jason slowly poked the top of his head out from the shadow like a mole and looked around curiously. Jason was more than six miles away from the Lich and he whistled as he saw the absolute carnage that the Lich's spell had caused! He dived back into the shadow and travelled back towards the Lich before he finally brought his whole body out from the shadow and he deactivated the Adamantine armor around him. Jason felt his cloak flutter in the wind once more as he walked over the ashen ground and stared down calmly at the prone body of the Immortal Lich.

Chapter 252: Joy and Rewards

Jason deactivated the Adamantine armor around his body and felt his cloak flutter in the dry wind as he walked forward to stare down at the prone body of the Immortal Lich.

Jason couldn't help but admit that the Immortal Lich had truly earned its title, because even after releasing such a massive blast that killed both Ragnar as well as other Rook rank subordinates, the Immortal Lich was somehow still alive. The Lich was lying on the ground since it could no longer move at all. Its clothes had been completely destroyed, so its skeletal figure was now exposed and there were large cracks travelling across it's entire body. Jason glanced toward the light in the center of the Lich's chest and saw how it was flickering like a dying ember. It was obvious that the Lich was already on its final leg.

The Lich's eyes trailed up slowly when Jason stepped in front of it, and it met Jason's eyes with a low chuckle. So even this wasn't enough to defeat this monster? The Lich already knew that the people of the Avaran race were demons that possessed unimaginable power, but he had hoped that he would at least be able to claim that he took down one of the Avarans in his lifetime.

"You... monster..."

The Lich spoke in a low, raspy voice, and Jason didn't even bother to respond. Jason went to one knee and stabbed his hand into the Lich's chest before dragging out the crystal with a heavy pull, and the Lich grunted in pain! The light in its eyes and chest finally dimmed out and the last thought the Lich had just before it died was how much it regretted not being able to complete it's research. The Immortal Lich was no more.

The second the Lich died, all of the subordinates that it had created using parts of its mana were immediately affected! They began to fall to the ground in heaps, and Jason's Legion could only watch with victorious gazes as their enemies died without them needing to do anything! A notification appeared in front of Jason, and Jason felt a smile spread across his lips as he read through it.

Introduction to the [Runic Arts]

+1 ??? Rank Weapon

+1 Legion Based Skill

——

Runic Arts: The Runic Arts are a special branch of magic that is commonly used by non-combatant mages or mages who do not possess a high mana capacity. Runes are magical carvings drawn in a specific language with a specific function tied to them. These carvings are drawn using special magic ink that embodies the magical affinity and function that the carver intended, and the runes can be activated by the application of a fraction of the amount of mana that would be needed to perform the Rune's function if it were a skill. Runes are not a popular magical branch in the Primordial Expanse due to the difficulty attributed to their mastery, but any mage who has truly mastered the creation and application of runes will be capable of feats beyond mortal comprehension.

In order to advance your knowledge in Runes, the system suggests you resurrect the [Immortal Lich] and obtain his [Journal on the Runic Arts].

——

The user has gained ownership of the ?? Rank weapon [Death's Mirage]

The artefact is located within the body of the dead Lich

——

The user has gained the Legion Skill [Soulmate]

Soulmate: This Legion skill allows the user to share his life force with various members of his Legion. This process ensures that if there were ever a situation when the user dies, the user will be able to return back to life by sacrificing the life of one of his Soulmates. The user can choose any number of creatures from Rook Rank I and above as his Soulmates, but the user must keep in mind that if any of his Soulmates were to be killed in battle, then the user will receive a portion of the damage done to that Soulmate in the form of both mental and physical pain. Therefore, the system advises the user to choose only very powerful creatures that do not stand the chance of being killed often as the user's Soulmates.

——

Jason heard the sound of all the notifications appearing on his system, but Jason ignored them for now! Jason looked down at the crystal in his hand and felt a surge of happiness spreading out from inside him as he realized that he had actually done it! He finally got everything he needed for Gina's resurrection! Jason wasn't normally the sort of person to express his emotions loudly or intensely, but at that moment, Jason didn't bother trying to stop himself as he squeezed his hand into a fist and shouted into the sky!

"I FUCKING DID IT!!"

Jason's voice echoed through the entire world in his excitement, and he smiled widely while staring down at the large Magical Crystal in his hand! Jason felt a feeling of pure excitement fill his heart, and he laughed before releasing a hard breath! Even though Jason had set his mind toward completing this task, he still knew that there were many things that could have gone wrong! The fact that he was here right now was only because he made sure everything was done perfectly!

Jason finally decided to read through the notifications that the system just sent to him, and he felt shocked when he saw the new Legion skill that he had gotten. The ability to share his soul amongst his subordinates was an amazing advantage, and Jason could immediately think of many ways to use something like this to his advantage! Jason read through the rest of the skill description and he frowned slightly when he saw that he would have to be careful when choosing the subordinates. If he chose the wrong one, then he would suffer some damage if they were killed in battle.

'That means I have to pick the strongest subordinates that are less likely to be killed. If I choose a weak one, then I might end up being distracted in the middle of an important battle when they're killed.'

Jason released a calm sigh before shaking his head and turning toward the artefact that the system gave him. Jason looked down at the dead Lich and saw something glint from within the it's body. He leaned down to pick it up, and hummed in surprise when he saw what it was. It was a simple hilt that you would normally use to wield a longsword. It had a pommel made from silver, and the hilt itself fit in Jason's hand like it had been made specifically for him. There was no blade attached to the pommel and Jason felt a frown form on his face as he activated [Appraisal].

Death's Mirage

Rank: ??

Durability: 100% [Dynamic]

Description: A sword created by the Immortal Lich fifty years ago in his attempt to absorb more power from the [Rivers of the Afterlife]. The weapon possesses the unique ability to summon and retain mana from a plane outside the world of the living, and that power can be manifested in the form of a blade created from the soul of the undead. The Lich was incapable of using this weapon since it required a living soul for it to bond to so he was never able to determine just how powerful the weapon could become. In order to use this weapon properly, the user must first carry out a Runic Ritual that would allow him to bond it to his soul permanently.

Chapter 253: The Royal Visitor

In order to use this weapon properly, the user must first carry out a Runic Ritual that would allow him to bond it to his soul permanently.

——

The system advises the user to perform the Runic Ritual as soon as possible. The weapon the user wields is capable of great and dangerous feats, and it could serve as a lifelong companion for the user as he grows in power.

——

Jason hummed once he saw this notification. So the hilt in his hand was actually a sword, but the blade would use souls from the River of the Afterlife? That seemed absolutely broken! What sort of abilities would a blade made from souls even have? Would it immediately suck the life out of anything that Jason cut with it? Jason was curious to find out immediately, but knowing that he had to do a ritual before he could use it gave him pause. Jason had never heard anything good about rituals, and he was a little hesitant to just agree to this. But the system sent another message.

[Runic Rituals are not only carried out in order to achieve negative or evil outcomes. A ritual is an act that is carried out to achieve or reach a certain goal, and the only factor that determines whether or not a ritual is evil is the person performing it. The user must broaden his horizon if he wishes to grow in strength in the Primordial Expanse. It would be best if he retrieves the Runic Journals written by the Lich over his years of research in order to learn more about Runic Rituals.]

Jason scoffed at the system's tone! It was almost like the bastard was trying to lecture him about the concept of good and evil! Jason shook his head and decided that he would find the journal later. Jason knew that the system was right about rituals not being inherently evil or good. They were only made that way by the people performing them. Jason just had to make sure he was careful so that he didn't get corrupted by some demon or something during the ritual.

Jason threw the sword into his Alternate Dimension, and he gained a smile as he looked down at the Lich's Magic Crystal once again. The skill Jason got was amazing, and the artifact that the system had just told him about was also amazing, but there was only one thing that Jason was really interested in at that moment. Jason had finally gotten all the materials he needed to craft the [Elixir of Life], and he wasn't going to even one more second! Jason was about to grab the [Banshee's Tears] out from his Alternate Dimension so he could make the Elixar, but he stopped when he suddenly felt a pulse of mana spread across the entire region! Jason's eyes narrowed immediately, and he sent out a message to his subordinates to begin moving towards him as he turned around.

A few miles away from Jason, a blue portal split across the air, and Jason began to gather his mana to prepare for an attack as multiple figures suddenly came through the portal and headed straight in his direction! There were armored men riding on black two-legged magical creatures that almost looked like dinosaurs with their thick skin and long noses. They were the same size as stallions, but they had an appearance that reminded Jason of a T-Rex. There was a single carriage in the middle of the the group that was being pulled by a magical beast that was larger than all the others. Jason noticed that there was an intense amount of mana surrounding all the armed men and from what Jason could feel, the mana was on the same level as what the Immortal Lich had! That meant they would be around SS Rank on Earth! But even though Jason had more mana than they did, that didn't mean he could let down his guard. Jason only had so much mana because he was actively gaining mana from every subordinate under his command. There was still a chance that the armed men would have stats that were higher than their mana level.

Jason could tell that they had already seen him, so there was no need for him to try to avoid them. Instead, Jason drew one of the swords in his Alternate Dimension and watched as the men and carriages stopped on a hill a few hundred meters away from him. Jason's Legion were already on their way through the shadows, and Jason knew that they would be here in less than two minutes. There were just under fifty armed soldiers moving with the carriage, and each of them was carrying a long spear and a sword on their hip, so Jason knew that they were most likely very well trained, and it would be difficult for him to handle all of them on his own. If these people turned out to be hostile, then Jason would dive into the shadows until his Legion was there to back him up.

Jason got a good look at the carriage and he noticed that it the entire thing was crafted from pure gold woven together in an intricate pattern. The wheels had gold rims that were carved with the insignia of a crown and the body was made from brown wood lined with gold! Even the ropes that tied the carriage to the magic beasts pulling it forward were also crafted from fine gold! Did the carraige belong to some sort of royal?

The carriage doors swung open slowly, and two women dressed in maid's outfits came down first and stood to the side. What happened next was something that Jason thought would only happen in movies and TV shows. A bright red carpet that had gold flowers drawn into it rolled out from inside the carriage. It fell down to the floor and extended out for more than a hundred meters before stopping. Jason felt a strange amusement fill him when he saw this happen, but he got rid of that feeling as he watched someone else come out from the carriage.

It was a woman unlike anyone Jason had ever seen before. Jason had been surprised when he first met Riyala because of how down-to-earth she seemed. Even though Riyala was a member of royalty, she was very kind and one of the most gentle people you could ever meet. It was obvious just from the way Riyaal loved playing with his Legion members and how she always blushed whenever he complimented her on anything that she had a very gentle heart. If you met Riyala outside of her duties, then you might find it difficult to know that she was royalty. But the moment Jason laid eyes on the woman coming out from the carriage, Jason was immediately certain that this woman was royalty! He could feel it in his fucking bones!

She had flaming red hair that framed a small, delicate face beautifully. She wore an off-shoulder red gown that was braided from something that looked like a mixture of silk and cotton, but it flowed down her body and dragged behind her like a wedding gown. On her neck, she wore a golden necklace with the largest diamond that Jason had ever seen embedded in the middle, and she was carrying a single golden fan in her hand. The woman turned her piercing gold eyes towards Jason, and Jason felt a strange feeling of adoration wash over him. It was almost like a part of Jason had suddenly developed the intense urge to protect this woman no matter what!

Jason frowned!

'What the fuck?'

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC254: Queen Hesabeth

Chapter 254: Queen Hesabeth

The woman turned her piercing gold eyes toward Jason, and Jason felt a strange feeling of adoration fill his body. It was almost like a part of Jason suddenly developed the intense urge to protect this woman no matter what!

Jason frowned.

'What the fuck is this?'

[The system has detected a significant amount of mana being directed towards the user's mental faculties. The system is attempting to analyse the nature of this attack...]

[Analysis complete. The system has deduced that the 'Primordial Expanse' is attempting to interfere with the user's actions. The system has performed a temporary block in order to counter the interference, but the system suggests that the user exercise caution while interacting with the incoming subject. She is incredibly dangerous.]

Jason blinked in surprise at the message from the system! What the fuck is this supposed to mean? The Primordial Expanse was trying to alter his actions? Since when did the Primordial Expanse act like a living entity!?

[The Primordial Expanse possesses a will that is similar but millions of times greater than the collective will of all creatures on Earth, popularly known as 'Gaia'.]

Once Jason read this message, he immediately knew that the woman in front of him was not someone he could take lightly, and he quickly activated a Legion skill!

[The Legion skill [Soulmate] has been activated. Please choose the subordinates the user would like to share his lifeforce with.]

'Every subordinate above Rook Rank I.'

[The user has shared his lifeforce between [4] Rook Rank II subordinates and [2] Rook Rank III subordinates. The user will be capable of resurrecting after unnatural death by switching his lifeforce with any of these subordinates, but if these subordinates were to be killed in any future battles, the user will suffer a significant amount of mental and physical damage.]

Jason's hand tightened around the hilt of his sword as he felt a strange link spread out from his body toward the subordinates that he had chosen for the [Soulmate] skill. Jason could feel a connection with all of them that was even stronger than the connection he had with the rest of his subordinates, and Jason released a quiet breath once he was sure that it skill worked. Most of the people in front of Jason were likely stronger than he was, but at least now Jason didn't have to worry about being killed by any random attack he couldn't see coming. He would have time to restrategize and come up with a counter to anything.

Jason looked up at the woman again with distrust in his eyes, and Jason wondered how she was related to the Primordial Expanse. A strange feeling of adoration came over Jason again, and Jason had to use everything he had to fight against it. It took a few seconds for the system to finally get rid of the feeling, and Jason sent a silent thank you to the system for the help.

Jason watched as the woman stared down at him like he was a peasant, and she slowly started walking down to meet with him. The red carpet under her feet extended as she moved forward, and three of the armed men who had been guarding the carriage followed after her.

The Legion finally arrived at Jason's location, and Jason told all of them to standby. Jason was actually curious about who this woman was and what the hell she was doing here, so he wanted to talk to her first. The woman stopped a few meters away from Jason, and her eyes trailed over both Jason and the dead Lich beside him. She folded up her fan with a quiet 'rasp,' and her blood-red lips curled into a complicated frown.

"!@#!@#!$!@!@?"

The woman spoke in a language that Jason didn't understand, and Jason frowned as the system immediately got to work and began to decode the language.

[New Language detected]

[Would the user like to acquire the [Minari] tongue? Yes/No?]

Jason chose yes mentally, and he felt that familiar, strange sensation wash over his ears and tongue. Jason got rid of the feeling quickly enough, and he spoke to the woman.

"Could you repeat that?"

The woman frowned at Jason like he had just cursed at her, and she pointed her fan toward one of the armed men who was standing beside her. The armed man spoke up in a gruff voice.

"Her Majesty asked if this was your doing?"

Jason gave the woman a hard stare as he said,

"And why does 'Her Majesty' want to know?"

"You heathen!"

The armed man immediately pulled his sword in anger as he got ready to cut Jason down, and Jason called on the Legion as he prepared to take everyone out! But the woman put her hand up calmly, and everyone suddenly felt their anger leave them. Jason watched as the armed man stepped back while sheathing his sword, and Jason glared at the man coldly before he commanded his subordinates not to attack anymore.

He turned his gaze back to the woman, and he saw that she was smiling at him in a strange way. The woman had felt the movement of the subordinates in the shadow, and she was curious about how many soldiers Jason had with him, but it didn't matter to her since she knew that they wouldn't be able to harm her even if they tried. The woman wasn't interested in the monsters, but she was definitely interested in Jason. This was the first time she would see someone capable of showing such enmity toward her, and she found herself wondering who this man was.

"Your magic signature is quite different from anything I have ever felt before. A mix of so many different forms of Essence. But at the core of it... yes, I see. So you are a member of that race."

The woman's eyes widened when she finally felt Jason's true Magic Essence and discovered what race he was from! The smile on her face broadened even more, and her gaze narrowed curiously as she spoke.

"You are quite the enigma, aren't you? But I suppose this, too, is to be expected for someone such as myself. The World has seen to it that you and I should meet here today, and in this way. You should consider yourself favoured, Avaran warrior."

Jason narrowed his eyes again once he heard her calling him an Avaran, and the woman's smile widened.

"Yes, that look in your eyes. That is something that no man has dared to show me before. I find it... pleasing. Our meeting here today has been ordained by a higher power in order to make things work in my favour, so I shall grant you the privilege to make yourself known to me. Tell me, what is your name, warrior?"

"Perhaps you should tell me yours before asking for mine?"

The woman's eyes widened in genuine surprise. It was obvious that she never expected Jason to speak to her like that, and Jason's brow furrowed when she suddenly put her fan over her face and laughed in amusement. The woman stepped closer to Jason, and Jason's hand tightened around the hilt of his sword as she spoke with a teasing tone in her voice.

"For someone who speaks the tongue of the Minari to not know my name is no different from treason. If I wished, I could arrest you and put you to death at this moment for your actions. But I shall overlook it this once since you are quite the enigma. I find you to be a curious anomaly, and that strangeness is a rather pleasant feeling. I am Hesabeth, Queen of the Minari, seventh seat in the council of nine and one, and supreme leader over all the worlds in this Primordial Domain. Now then, who are you?"

Jason's frown only deepened once he heard everything she had to say.

'Primordial Domain? What the fuck was a Primordial Domain?'

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC255: Growing Interest

Chapter 255: Growing Interest

Primordial Domain? What the fuck was a Primordial Domain? Jason felt a frown form on his face as he asked the system to explain these things to him, and the system brought up a new tab.

[A Primordial Domain is a collection of different worlds that are located parallel to each other within the Primordial Expanse. The 'Council of Nine and One' is the body responsible for marking out Primordial Domains and appointing Supreme Leaders over these domains.]

Jason read through this message rather quickly, and he tried to keep his annoyance off his face after he was done. So, this woman was basically part of some sort of interdimensional governing body? There were so many foreign things being fed to him all at once, and if not for Jason's ability to process significant amounts of information very quickly, then Jason would have already gotten lost! But for now, Jason decided to just focus on Hesabeth and what she was doing here. The system's message told him that she had authority over a number of worlds, and that only solidified the fact that she was someone dangerous in Jason's mind. But from what Jason could feel from her, she didn't seem like she had that much power to speak of. In fact, Jason could hardly feel any mana from her at all! If Jason didn't know any better, he would even think that she was a non-magical being.

Jason finally decided to speak up after a few seconds.

"My name is Jason Marc."

Hesabeth nodded along as she tested the name on her tongue.

"Jason Marc. It is quite fitting, an unusual name for an unusual warrior. I can deduce quite easily that you are an Avaran, but I can tell that there is far more to you than simply that. Your world is no more, so tell me, what world do you hail from, Jason Marc?"

Jason decided that he wasn't going to answer that question. Jason had no idea who these people were, and he didn't know if telling them about Earth would paint a target on his entire world or not. So he would rather not risk it. Instead, Jason asked a question of his own.

"What exactly is the Supreme Leader of a Primordial Domain doing in this backwater world? It's not exactly the sort of place you would expect to meet a Queen."

Hesabeth's eyes gleamed with amusement when she heard Jason ignoring her initial question! Being ignored was not something she was used to, but she didn't know why she wasn't annoyed at all. In fact, she liked the fact that Jason ignored her question! Hesabeth pointed her fan towards the dead body of the Lich while glancing at Jason with that smile still on her face.

"I was on my way to a ball, you see, and I decided to drop by and dispose of this creature since I had some time to spare, so my purpose has already been achieved. Such is the way the world works for me. Even before I make a move in one direction, a road has already been carved for me to follow. Now, I am sure this is no news to you, but this creature was on the verge of becoming a member of a rather dangerous organisation, and that was something we couldn't let happen. Disposing of it was a rather important task, so you have the Council's thanks, Jason Marc from an unknown world."

Jason was shocked to hear that Hesabeth had been on her way to a party. Does that mean that she was just passing by and she decided on a whim to come and kill a monster that would be the equivalent of a Yellow Gate Boss? There was no way Hesabeth would be able to make a claim like that unless she was extremely strong! But Jason couldn't feel much power from her, and Jason knew that Hesabeth didn't come with enough men to handle the horde of monsters that Jason had to fight before he could kill the Lich. And from the way Hesabeth spoke, it seemed like she never expected a fight at all. It was almost like she already expected Jason to have taken out the Lich before she got here.

'What does she mean by "that's the way the world works for me"?'

Jason had no idea what Hesabeth was trying to say, but he tried his best not to let that show on his face. Jason was going to find out more about this Council and what exactly a Primordial Domain was later on, but for now, he needed to get rid of these people so he could resurrect Gina. Jason could see some sort of interest forming in Hesabeth's eyes, and Jason did not want to be anywhere near her for longer than he needed to. Jason gave Hesabeth a nod, and then he waved his sword back in the direction she came from.

"If your business here is already finished, then you can continue on your way."

The armed man beside Hesabeth tightened his hand around his sword hilt as he sneered at Jason!

"You have committed two acts of treason now, peasant! You shall lose your head if you behave in such a disrespectful manner again! You should already be in chains for your actions here, and yet you show such disrespect to the Supreme Ruler!?"

Jason eyed the armed man with a cold gaze before he turned back to Hesabeth. Jason could tell that the men respected Hesabeth more than anything else, so he could understand why he was acting this way, but if the man tried to attack him, then blood would flow. Jason's Legion had already surrounded all the men, and they were only waiting for Jason's orders so they could charge forward!

The look in Hesabeth's eye had intensified, and Jason was now worried that she was trying to eat him with her gaze! She took another step closer to him as she spoke up.

"There is one more thing of importance that I need to retrieve so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. I heard rumors that this creature had created a rather dangerous weapon capable of tearing through the fabric of mortality and wielding an unknown power. Tell me, have you come across any weapon like this?"

Jason could immediately tell that the Queen was talking about the sword hilt that he had just taken from the Lich. The [Death's Mirage] didn't seem like something dangerous, but the description that the system gave it told Jason that it had the potential to become one of the strongest weapons in the world if wielded properly. Jason wasn't going to give up something like that for anything, so Jason did the most rational thing anyone would do in such a situation. He lied through his teeth!

"Sorry, I haven't seen any weapons. Maybe it was destroyed in our fight."

Jason shrugged while saying this calmly, and Queen Hesabeth narrowed her eyes at him curiously. Their eyes stayed locked in a fierce standoff, and Jason noticed the way her golden eyes glittered in an almost inhuman way. Jason wondered if Hesabeth would make her men attack him or not, and he was already prepared to fight back if he needed to, but Queen Hesabeth just hummed as she smiled again. The tension in the air vanished like it had never been there, and Queen Hesabeth spoke calmly.

"Very well then, if you say you did not see it, then I will take your word for it, Jason Marc. But keep in mind that should that weapon fall into the wrong hands and cause any problems for the worlds in my Primordial Domain, then you will have me to answer to."

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC256: Primordial Bias

Chapter 256: Primordial Bias

"The weapon created by this Lich is considered to be very dangerous, so keep in mind that should that weapon fall into the wrong hands and cause any problems for the worlds in this Primordial Domain, then you will have me to answer to. The world has seen to it that our paths would cross today, and I am certain that they shall cross once again in the near future. When that happens, I hope you will be more open towards me. I would very much like to learn more about you in more... favourable settings. Come then, let us continue on our journey."

Hesabeth's last words were directed to the soldiers around her as she turned around and walked back to her carriage, and Jason raised a brow when the carpet under her feet began rolling itself up while following after her. The armed men gave Jason dirty looks from atop their magic beasts, and Jason just smiled at them before waving them away with his sword. Jason knew that he was antagonizing them pointlessly, but they had been rude to him first, so he didn't feel the need to act civilized! One of the armed men almost reached for his sword when he saw Jason's cocky grin, but another one beside him told him to stop, and they all finally moved to catch up to their Queen. Jason watched as the Queen entered the carriage, and then the two maids entered after her. The carriage door closed after the carpet rolled inside, and the entire procession began to move once again.

Jason finally released a tense breath as he sent some of his subordinates through the shadows and told them to follow the carriage until they left this world. Jason did not like the way that woman looked at him at all! It was almost like she was trying to look through him, and Jason could tell there was some madness somewhere inside those eyes.

'Who the fuck was that woman, and what the hell is a Council of Nine and One?'

Jason asked this to the system, and the system immediately brought up a new tab.

[The system has suffered significant strain from its efforts to block the 'Primordial Expanse' from influencing the user's mental facilities. Please stand by as it attempts to rejuvenate itself...]

Jason raised a brow in surprise when he read this. Jason didn't know that the system was being pushed so much in just that short time. Was his woman really that strong? Jason waited calmly for the system to give him an answer, and after a few seconds, it finally responded.

[The Minori Queen is not a powerful individual in the conventional way the user is familiar with. In fact, she has never displayed any feats of power beyond what an S Rank is capable of. Instead, what she possesses is a power that can subvert and redirect all other forms of power in order to bend them to her whims. Queen Hesabeth was born with a unique ability known only as 'Primordial Bias', and just like the name suggests, it grants her a significant level of bias in all actions or events occurring around her and ensures all things work in her favour. Just like the current situation; the user attacked and killed the Lich for his own reasons, but the user also happened to take care of a monster that Queen Hesabeth wanted dead at the moment that she wanted it to die. The Primordial Expanse bends reality and causality in order to ensure her needs are met.]

Jason was stunned! What the actual fuck was this!? The Primordial Expanse bends reality to meet the whims of one person!? That was absolutely fucking broken! Was that why Jason kept feeling the urge to adore Hesabeth? Was the world making sure he didn't try to harm her?

'This had to be some sort of magical power that she has. Maybe she's an empath or a telepath? That would explain the emotions, right?'

[No, the system is certain that Queen Hesabeth did not attempt to control the user in any way. The mana that attacked the user came from a source far stronger than anything in this dimension. Queen Hesabeth is literally incapable of performing such a high-level attack. In simple terms, Queen Hesabeth is the favourite child of the Primordial Expanse. In order to properly explain this, the system will recall some history that had been saved in its database. One hundred and fifty years ago, when Queen Hesabeth was still only the young daughter of a Duke, she was commanded by her father to marry the King of the Minori in order to raise their family's standing in the world. Queen Hesabeth did not approve of this marriage, but her father insisted, and she eventually married the King. But only two hours after Queen Hesabeth was crowned as Queen, the King died of natural causes, and since he had no heir, she became the ruler of her world. There was no coup, and no challenger rose to question her ascension. In another instance, a parallel world declared war on the world of the Minori due to some trade disputes and they were attempting to invade the world, but on their journey, the army accidentally stumbled into a Rank V world, and every single soldier was killed in seconds. This gave Queen Hesabeth complete control over all the trade routes around her world and increased her world's strength and fortune beyond belief.]

[Queen Hesabeth never needs to worry about anything that happens around her because the Primordial Expanse simply ensures that all events line up in a way that would favour her without any effort on her part. Those instances are only two of hundreds of such events concerning her across the Primordial Expanse. She is someone that even the most powerful beings tend to steer clear of due to the unpredictability of her power. The system strongly suggests that the user does not make an enemy of that woman unless the user wishes to fight a battle of survival against the entire Primordial Expanse.]

Jason ran a hand over his face and let out a tired sigh in response to this. Jason already knew that the Primordial Expanse was filled with beings and creatures beyond human understanding, but this had to be the most insane thing he had ever heard. No wonder Jason didn't feel any power from Queen Hesabeth when they were talking earlier. She never needed to learn how to grow her mana level or even defend herself because she had never been in any real danger before. The Primordial Expanse was protecting her, so why would she need to be strong? Jason shook his head in disbelief before asking the system to explain what the 'Council of Nine and One' was.

[The 'Council of Nine and One' is a gathering of beings from the more powerful worlds across the Primordial Expanse. It is made up of ten members who all hail from Rank III and Rank IV worlds, with a single member acting as the Supreme Overlord who heads the council. They serve as a political body in charge of creating and managing laws to govern the worlds under their control.]

'And how many worlds are under their control?'

[From previous data, the system believes they control an estimated three hundred thousand worlds in total. But that number would have most likely increased.]

Jason frowned in irritation as he finally asked the most important question.

'Is Earth under any of these Supreme Beings?'

[Earth is a part of the Primordial Domain overseen by the Sixth seat in the council of Nine and One, the king of the Machina race.]

Jason clicked his tongue in irritation and cursed!

"Fuck."

[Yes, fuck indeed.]

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC257: Personification of Mortality

Chapter 257: Personification of Mortality

[Yes, fuck indeed.]

Jason chuckled at the system's response while looking in the direction Queen Hesabeth had gone. The subordinates Jason sent to follow Hesabeth just reported that she went through a portal to another world, and Jason told them not to follow her. Jason didn't have anything against the woman since she didn't show senseless hostility towards him, but the system's words made Jason certain that the both of them would be meeting again very soon. Jason just had to make sure that their next meeting was more friendly than this one. After all, it was good to have powerful allies.

'Especially when they are the favourite child of the Primordial Expanse.'

Jason decided that he had been distracted enough, and he threw his sword back into his Alternate Dimension, telling all his subordinates to spread out and look for any enemies in the area. The subordinates accepted the order and began scouting the region before Jason reached inside his Alternate Dimension and grabbed the [Banshee's Tears]. There were a few other artefacts in Jason's Alternate Dimension that the Phantoms had stolen from the BloodRaven guild during their earlier search, but Jason ignored all of them for now.

Jason could feel the heart of the Lich reacting the moment he brought out the [Banshee's Tear], and it was almost like they were gravitating towards each other without Jason even doing anything. Jason gently brought them both closer, and the Banshee's Tear suddenly jumped out from his fingers and slammed into the Lich's Heart in his other hand! A bright light filled the clearing, and Jason put his free hand up to his eyes until the light finally died down a few seconds later. Jason looked down at the Lich's heart, and he saw that the crystal had hollowed out on the inside, and it was now filled with a strange blue liquid that sloshed around like jelly.

Jason immediately activated [Appraisal] to see if the artefacts had combined properly.

——

Elixir of Life

Rank: S

Durability: ∞

Description: A potion created by combining the Heart of an Immortal Lich with the A Rank Artefact [Banshee's Tears]. The difficulty of creating this potion is low due to the high affinity between the ingredients used to make it. When in close proximity, the ingredients naturally gravitate towards each other, and the potion is created once they combine. The potion can be used to resurrect [1] mortal and prevent their soul from travelling to the River of the Afterlife. In order to ensure the potion is effective, the dead mortal must still possess their soul.

——

Jason released a calm sigh as he read through the artefact description. He had actually done it! Jason didn't know how he would feel about all of this when he finally managed to get what he needed, but now that he was only one step away from getting Gina back, he felt a strange sense of giddiness inside him. He felt like he was a fucking kid about to talk to the girl he loved for the first time! Jason chuckled as a smile began forming on his face, and he released another sigh to calm himself before he finally put his hand out and called on Gina's body.

Gina's body appeared from Jason's Alternate Dimension and gently fell to the floor in front of him. Jason went down on his knees and wrapped a hand around Gina's shoulder to hold her head up. Jason knew that Gina wouldn't be able to swallow anything, so he drank the Elixir and held it in his mouth before he leaned forward and gently kissed Gina. Jason poured the Elixir down Gina's throat until she had drunk all of it, and once he was done, he leaned back with a hopeful expression on his face while waiting for something to happen. A few seconds passed in silence as Jason just stared at Gina's unmoving body, and Jason's brow slowly began to furrow as he wondered why nothing was happening! Did he do something wrong!? Was there something he was supposed to do before giving her the Elixir!?

'System—!'

DOON!

Jason suddenly felt an intense pressure pressing down on him, and he looked up in shock to see that a strange fog had covered the region! Jason held Gina closer to his chest as he began to call on his Legion to prepare in case there was an attack, but Jason was shocked when he didn't get any response! Jason immediately began to gather his mana to protect himself and Gina as he saw a figure appear through the fog! It was a hooded figure that stood more than ten feet tall! It floated in the air like a phantom, and it wore a long black hooded drape that covered its face with a dark shadow. The drape was tattered and torn and went all the way down to drag across the floor under it. In the creature's right hand was a long black scythe, and Jason didn't need to think at all before he knew exactly what this creature was.

'The Grim Reaper?'

The creature turned its gaze from Jason down to Gina, and Jason immediately held Gina closer as he spread his mana out in a protective wave! Jason didn't fucking care if this was the grim reaper or the fucking devil himself! No one was taking Gina from him! He would tear this bastard to pieces before he laid a finger on Gina! Jason watched as the figure extended a long, bony finger towards him and spoke in a low, raspy voice.

"You have cheated me once again, Avaran child. But remember this: all souls eventually come into my River. And on the day that your mortal shell expires and your Soul becomes my possession, I shall make you suffer for your actions."

Jason's eyes darkened as a cold chill came over his body, but Jason didn't show even the slightest bit of fear! What the hooded figure just said told Jason that he wasn't in any danger at that moment. The hooded figure said it was going to wait for Jason's soul to come to him, and that meant that it couldn't kill Jason by itself. Once that thought crossed his mind, Jason felt a strange sense of rebellion rising from his heart, and Jason didn't even know when his mouth split into a wicked, twisted grin. Jason couldn't see the figure's eyes, but he had a feeling that it narrowed its gaze at him once it saw him smiling! Jason glared right back at the bastard while holding Gina close, and the hooded figure said nothing else as it slowly melted back into the fog and vanished from that plane of existence. Jason's vision returned once more as the fog cleared out, and Jason took in a deep breath as he came back to reality! Jason's body was still in the same position as before, and Jason realised that the Grim Reaper had only appeared inside his head.

'Is that why I couldn't talk to the Legion? I was hallucinating? What the fuck was that?'

[That was the personification of mortality, known only as Death. It is a sacred figure worshipped across the Primordial Expanse, and it is hardly seen in the mortal plane. It appears the user's actions have finally drawn its attention.]

Jason used his hand to squeeze the bridge of his nose as he felt a headache pounding behind his eyes! That thing was worshipped as a sacred figure? Doesn't that mean it was some sort of god? Jason already had to deal with enough problems here in the mortal plane! He really didn't want to have to deal with fucking gods as well!

'I couldn't even move when I was in front of it! That thing is hundreds of times stronger than me!'

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC258: What Language Is This!?

Chapter 258: What Language Is This!?

Jason already had to deal with enough problems here in the Primordial Plane! He really didn't want to have to deal with fucking gods as well!

'I couldn't even move when I was in front of it! That thing is hundreds of times stronger than me!'

[The system suggests that the user focus on gaining as many subordinates as possible and raising his power level to even greater heights. It will not be easy to survive the coming future at the user's current level.]

Jason released a calm sigh after reading the system's message. The system didn't need to tell him that since he already knew it. If Jason didn't begin making some serious moves to raise his power, then he would eventually meet someone strong enough to kill him without any effort at all. Jason knew he was far stronger than he had been only a few weeks ago, but the Primordial Expanse was too dangerous for him to be content with this level of power! Jason needed to—

"Jason...?"

A voice suddenly spoke up in surprise, and Jason felt his eyes widen in shock when he heard it! Jason turned down slowly to look at the woman in his arms and felt a feeling of agonizing joy rising from deep inside him when he looked into Gina's blood-red eyes. Jason had never cried for any reason before, but he could feel his eyes getting wet as he felt a smile spreading on his face.

"Hey, Gina."

That was the only thing Jason could bring himself to say at that moment, and he watched as Gina raised her hand up to her face with wide, disbelieving eyes. Gina touched her face nervously before her hand went down to feel her heart beating through her chest. Gina was obviously shocked by the fact that she was alive at that moment, but it didn't take long before tears began to fall from her eyes! Gina smiled brightly as she looked up into Jason's eyes, and a choked laugh escaped from her lips! Gina had no idea where she was or what Jason had done to bring her back to life, but none of that mattered at all! The only thing that mattered at that moment was that Jason was here in front of her! The man she loved had torn through reality itself to bring her back to life!

Gina's shaky hand rose to cup Jason's cheek, and she brought him down for a heated kiss. Jason leaned into the kiss with every ounce of desire inside his body as he held Gina close, and he pressed his forehead to Gina's own when they separated a few seconds later. Gina caressed Jason's cheek as her tears continued to fall, and she spoke in a voice filled with love and adoration.

"I'm so proud of you, Jason. Thank you! Sniff~ Thank you so much!"

Gina wrapped her hand around Jason's neck and hugged him tighter as her emotions threatened to overwhelm her! Gina could only imagine what Jason must have gone through to bring her back to life, and she knew that she would never be able to repay him for what he just did! Jason wrapped his hand around Gina's head and held her close as her sobs became even more intense! Jason allowed her to cry her heart out from happiness and he waited till she had finally begun to calm down before he pulled back slightly and used his thumb to wipe the tears falling down her face. Jason's lips split into a small smile as he spoke in a low, amused voice.

"I guess this means I have to ask you to be my girlfriend all over again, doesn't it?"

Gina felt amusement bubble up from her chest when she heard Jason's words, and it wasn't long before both of them fell into laughter as they held each other close.

[Jason's Apartment]

"What in the world are you saying!?"

Griselda and Riyala were kneeling on the floor in a close huddle, and Griselda felt like pulling her hair out as she stared at her phone! For the past hour, Griselda had been trying to figure out what language Riyala was talking in! Griselda's translator app had a special function that allowed it to detect and translate more than five hundred different languages from all over the world, and Griselda knew that it was one of the best in the market! Even some of the most unheard languages were registered on the app! But for some fucked-up reason, the language detector couldn't even tell Griselda what country Riyala's language was from!

Riyala was sitting beside Griselda with a slightly confused expression, and she watched Griselda getting increasingly frustrated with the translator app! At first, Riyala had been afraid of Griselda because of how intense and dramatic Griselda always was, but after hanging out with her for some time, Riyala realized that Griselda was actually a very courteous person. Griselda had a lot of mannerisms that reminded Riyala of the Riyal family in Radagan and Riyala couldn't help but wonder if Griselda wasn't a member of some royal family here on Earth! The only thing that showed Riyala that Griselda was a perfectly normal girl was how expressive she always was. There weren't a lot of princesses who would show such intense emotions on their face all the time!

"Here, try to say something."

Griselda put her phone towards Riyala with an expectant look on her face, and Riyala nodded as she came forward and spoke into the phone.

"@#!#!@."

Riyala had only said 'Hello' in her language since that was one of the words that she knew in both English and the Radagan tongue, and Griselda quickly turned to her phone and watched in anticipation as it loaded the language and tried to translate it. But it didn't even take ten seconds before it showed an error and declared that it couldn't find the language!

Griselda cursed at the phone!

"Useless trash! I paid fifty dollars for this translator app, and it's useless!"

Riyala recoiled in shock at Griselda's loud voice, and Griselda sighed tiredly as she apologized. Riyala understood 'sorry' in English, so she just nodded to Griselda and smiled kindly. Griselda smiled back at her, and then she frowned. It was obvious that Riyala's language was just too much for the translator app to handle, so they would have to wait for Jason to come back so they could ask him what country Riyala was from.

'Speaking of Jason...'

Griselda frowned as she finally stood up and turned to look at Juliet. Juliet was sitting on the floor with her back against the wall and staring at her phone with a nervous expression on her face. Griselda could tell that there was something wrong, but for some reason, Juliet didn't want to say anything about it. Juliet only told them that Jason had gone somewhere to finish some business, and he didn't want them to leave the house till he got back.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC259: An Unexpected Visitor

Chapter 259: An Unexpected Visitor

Juliet's expression had only been growing more and more grave as time passed, and it was now so bad that Griselda was starting to get genuinely worried about what was going on! Griselda knew Juliet to be a very composed and calm woman, so seeing her like this told Griselda that whatever was happening had to be very bad!

"Juliet, is everything okay? You don't look so good."

Griselda finally had to ask, and her question jolted Juliet back to reality. Juliet gave Griselda a strained smile and shook her head while saying that everything was fine, but Griselda wasn't buying it! Griselda narrowed her eyes at Juliet and stepped close to her, and Juliet immediately hid her phone close to her chest so Griselda couldn't see what was there! That only served to make Griselda even more worried!

"What in the world are you hiding? What's going on?"

Juliet felt sweat spread on her face. She knew that she didn't really have to hide this from Griselda, but this wasn't something that she could just go around sharing with anyone. There was something big happening in New Jersey right now, and all of the news channels in the world had been kept in the dark, so there was no one reporting on it! Juliet had a friend in the SMD who managed to give her information about it, but she still didn't know how serious things were because her friend had been offline for almost thirty minutes now. The last message she got from her friend was: Dragons.

Juliet put her hand to her forehead and sighed before she stood and put on a brave face as she said,

"I'm fine, everything's fine! I mean, why wouldn't it be fine? Haha! It's just that I just got some difficult news, and, uhm... yeah. It's fine."

Griselda obviously didn't believe her at all, and now even Riyala was starting to look at Juliet curiously as she wondered what was going on! Juliet was about to say something else, but she was cut off when she heard the sound of various cars screeching to a halt outside the building, followed by the unmistakable sound of a helicopter! Juliet's brow furrowed as she quickly moved toward the window, and her eyes widened in shock when she saw a freaking helicopter landing on the street! What the actual fuck!? There were more than ten cars parked all the way down the street, and they were literally surrounding the house! What in the world was this!?

Bang! Bang!

"Ahhh!"

Griselda let out a cry, and Juliet shook as the house door was suddenly slammed open by a battering ram! The extreme force broke open the door, and the sound of the door falling off its hinges echoed through the house! Various men wearing black suits charged into the building, and Juliet immediately went to stand in front of both Griselda and Riyala protectively as she eyed the strange men! None of the men were carrying rifles or batons, but they had an intense look on their expressionless faces that put all the women on edge!

Behind Juliet, Riyala began to prepare her magic for any form of attack! Neither of the women knew that Riyala was a mage, but Riyala swore that she would defend them if she needed to! She wouldn't allow what happened to Gina to happen to anyone in front of her ever again! But before any of the women could do anything, Alpha and ten of Jason's Phantoms suddenly rose from the shadows of the building and surrounded them while holding their daggers in an offensive stance!

The suited men were all shocked to see the Phantoms, and even Riyala and the other girls felt surprised by their appearance! Jason had put the Phantoms there to make sure that Riyala and the other girls were well protected! Jason knew that him not being with Riyala would attract the worst kind of attention, and if it was easy for Juliet to find him in his apartment, then it would be easy for one of the more dangerous organizations to find the apartment as well!

Alpha's bloodthirst filled the room, and all the suited men felt their own guard rising up as they began reaching behind their backs for their weapons! But another voice suddenly spoke up from the doorway and made everyone stop in their tracks. It was a young woman with short brown hair and intense black eyes. She was wearing a long black coat over a black suit, and she kept her hands in her pockets calmly as she walked into the apartment without fear. This woman was named Fredrica, and she was a higher-ranked member and the American representative of the secret organization known only as Gaia. The recent appearance of the monsters from the Yellow Gate had gotten the attention of Gaia, and after they heard the creatures speak, they immediately knew that they were dealing with inter-world travelers.

Cerci had contacted Fredrica and told her to come to this house to retrieve the inter-world traveler that Jason was keeping here. It was obvious that the inter-world travelers were here for her, and giving her back to them was the only way they would be able to make sure this didn't blow out of proportion and become a full-scale war between worlds. Fredrica walked forward until she was close enough to speak to everyone, and she spoke to her men.

"Stand down."

"But ma'am, these things..."

One of the men narrowed his eyes at the strange Phantoms, but Fredrica just raised her hand and told him to stop.

"I said, stand down. We aren't here to fight."

All her men followed her orders and slowly dropped their aggressive stances. The Phantoms didn't look like they were ready to drop theirs, so Fredrica just spoke again.

"Inter-world traveler, I need you to come with us. The future of our entire country depends on your help."

Both Griselda and Juliet felt shock pass through their bodies when they heard the woman say "inter-world traveler"! Was she talking to Riyala!? Does that mean Riyala wasn't from this world at all!? Griselda seemed to be the first one to believe the woman's words as she let out a small curse! No wonder she couldn't find Riyala's language on the app! It didn't exist in this world!

Riyala, meanwhile, looked completely lost as she stared at the woman. Riyala still couldn't understand what the woman was saying, so it was difficult for them to communicate. But Fredrica already knew this would be an issue. She had hoped that Riyala would understand English, but since she didn't, she just had to show her instead.

Fredrica brought out a phone from her pocket and faced it towards Riyala, and Riyala felt her eyes widen when she saw what was on the screen!

"Dragons!?"

Griselda cried out in shock when she saw the five dragons that were attacking New Jersey! There were various superhumans trying their best to hold off the dragons, but the dragons were easily using their flame breath to burn down many buildings and people! Riyala's face squeezed into a look of pure despair as she recognized some of the people riding the dragons! Those were Radagan soldiers from the military! The Sovereign sent them here!

A strange feeling filled Riyala's heart when she saw all the people who were trying their best and failing to hold back the dragons! It was just like what happened when Gina had been attacked! Riyala was bringing problems to innocent people again with her own cowardice! Riyala immediately realized what it was that the woman had been asking for previously. It was obvious that the dragon riders had come here for her, so the woman was asking her to hand herself over for peace.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC260: An Act of Selflessness

Chapter 260: An Act of Selflessness

It was obvious that the dragon riders had come here for her, so the woman was asking her to hand herself over for peace.

Riyala's hand squeezed into a fist as Fredrica pocketed her phone again and then gestured towards the door. Fredrica did not want to fight Riyala, and she didn't want to kidnap Riyala. She simply wanted Riyala to surrender herself to her people so they could stop the dragons from destroying New Jersey. Riyala seemed to be conflicted for a few seconds, and she put her hand up to her chest while looking around nervously, but it wasn't long before she stepped forward. Her own life didn't matter anymore. She couldn't allow innocent people to die just because she had come to hide here!

A figure stood in front of Riyala, and Riyala looked up to see Alpha staring down at her with a hard gaze. Alpha shook her head and it was obvious that she was not willing to allow Riyala to go. The King's orders were to protect Riyala, and Alpha took the King's orders very seriously! But Riyala wasn't willing to stop. She spoke to Alpha calmly.

"If you can talk to Jason, then please thank him for me. If not for him, then I wouldn't have lived this long. I would have died a long time ago. But I can't allow those innocents to die for a choice I made. I'm sorry."

Riyala tried to get past Alpha, but Alpha suddenly reached out and took Riyala by the arm!

"Get your hands off her!"

One of the men at the side reached behind him and immediately grabbed a gun while shouting at Alpha, and it wasn't long before all hell broke loose in the house! The suited men all grabbed their weapons and pointed them at the Phantoms, and the Phantom sank into the shadows and reappeared behind some men while putting their daggers to their necks!

Bang!

A man shot Alpha in the shoulder, but Alpha easily tanked the bullet and dashed toward the man! She kneed him in the stomach and threw him to the ground, and the man let out a cry as his gun fell away from him!

Griselda and Juliet both crouched down to the ground and put their hands to their ears as gunshots and screams filled the house, but it wasn't long before everything went quiet again. Griselda slowly opened her eyes to see what was going on, and she felt her eyes widen when she saw Riyala holding a gun to her own head. Riyala was staring at Alpha with tears falling from her defiant eyes, and she spoke with intensity.

"I'm going, so don't try to stop me! If you try to stop me, then I'll kill myself! Please!"

Alpha was holding a knife to a man's neck as she watched Riyala calmly. Alpha looked into Riyala's eyes, and she could tell with absolute certainty that Riyala was not playing around. She was really going to kill herself. Alpha slowly let go of the man and stood while raising her hands up. Jason had asked Alpha and the other Phantoms to protect Riyala, so if Riyala killed herself, it would defeat the entire purpose of their mission.

"Riyala! What are you doing!? Drop it!"

Juliet suddenly shouted from behind as she saw what was happening, and Riyala didn't even turn to her. Riyala just looked over at Fredrica and nodded to her, and Fredrica motioned to the door once more and began to guide Riyala out! Juliet shouted from behind as she approached them!

"Wait! I'm coming with you! You can't just take her like this! She has rights, for fuck's sake!"

A man suddenly appeared in front of Juliet and stopped her! Juliet knew that she was just trying to pull at straws here! Hearing that Riyala was not from this world completely threw her off, and she had no idea if the government would even regard Riyala as someone with rights or not! But Jason had asked Juliet to take care of Riyala, so she couldn't just let them take her like this! Juliet shouted to Fredrica!

"Please! She needs someone she trusts to be with her! I won't interfere with anything! Just, please!"

Juliet begged desperately, and Fredrica finally turned around and nodded to the man to allow Juliet to go. Juliet quickly came up to Riyala and hugged her supportively. She tried to take the gun from Riyala's hand, but Riyala was not going to give it up, and Juliet sighed as she was guided into the helicopter with Riyala.

Back inside the apartment, all the suited men got up and began to head out of the building, and Alpha instructed two of the Phantoms to stay back and protect Griselda while she and the others melted into the shadows and followed after Riyala and Juliet. Alpha quickly began to send the message of what had happened to Jason. Riyala might have gone with Gaia, but Alpha was not going to allow Riyala to be taken away before Jason got back to Earth.

....

[The World of Ruen]

[Minutes Before Riyala Was Taken]

Jason and Gina had finally gotten their emotions back under control, and Jason was standing over the body of the Lich that he had killed. The message from the system was still in front of Jason, and Jason was currently trying to figure out what exactly the system meant when it said that Gina was one of his subordinates. Gina wasn't dead, so how the hell was she one of his subordinates?

[The user had already tied the soul of Gina Fey to himself by taking her life earlier. The rules of the user's power state that if a soul is brought back to life after the user takes the life of its mortal body, then that soul becomes one of the user's subordinates. The user should already be aware of this.]

'Yes, but how the fuck does this work? Gina is alive, for fuck's sake! And how in the world is she a Rook Rank I? Gina was a C Rank when she died, so shouldn't she be a Pawn Rank II?'

[The Elixir of Life ingested by Gina Fey contained the healing artifact known as the [Banshee's Tear], as well as the magical crystal from the Immortal Lich. Both items possess a significant amount of magical power within them, and some of that power was absorbed by Gina Fey during the resurrection. Her base magical and physical stats have been significantly improved as a result. The increase in power should not come as a surprise to the user, since Gina Fey had already been receiving massive boosts from the user's mana.]

'Wait, what? I never gave Gina any of my mana.'

[Yes, you did. Every time the user has intercourse with Gina Fey, he releases over a thousand units of mana into her body. This mana allowed Gina Fey's base stats to increase by a significant margin over a very short period of time.]

'Huh... I see.'

Jason was shocked by the revelation from the system. Jason remembered Gina telling him about a sudden increase in power before and how she could suddenly beat another superhuman in her guild, but he didn't think it was because they started having sex. Wait, doesn't that mean he released magic every time he came inside Gina? Jason couldn't help the feeling of amusement that rose from his chest when he had this thought, and Gina looked at Jason funny when she heard him chuckling.

STRONGEST NECROMANCER SYSTEMC261: Do You Understand?

Chapter 261: Do You Understand?

Jason ran a hand through his hair and released a calming sigh. Jason knew that this wasn't actually a bad thing. The fact that Gina was now his subordinate would allow her to grow faster than any other superhuman in the world, since he could always boost her powers using his Upgrade Points. But Jason didn't know if there would be any other side effects from the new link. Gina looked perfectly okay, and there didn't seem to be anything different about her other than the fact that she was now his subordinate, but Jason couldn't help but feel worried.

Beside Jason, Gina was pulling up the collar of a long black coat with a wide smile on her face. Jason had given Gina his coat to wear, but since she was smaller than Jason, the coat was obviously too large for her. But Gina had insisted that she wanted to wear it, and she had a huge smile on her face as she inhaled Jason's scent from the coat.

Gina was holding one of Jason's hands in her own, and she looked down at the body of the Lich with a curious gaze as she asked Jason what he was doing. Jason blinked as he came back to reality and turned around to look at Gina. Jason smiled at her before he glanced up to see the blue screen floating just over her head.

——

[Gina Fey]

[Rook Rank I]

[Hierarchy Level: 1 [0.00%]]

[Subordinate Count: 0/10]

[Upgrade Points: 0/50]

[Upgrade Limit: Undefined]

[MP: 3000]

——

Jason let out a low hum as he narrowed his eyes at the screen, and Gina began to worry if there was really something wrong. Gina came closer and looked up at Jason while asking:

"Is everything okay? You've been silent for a while."

Jason nodded calmly as he finally looked at Gina. Gina gave him a loving smile, and Jason couldn't help but smile back as he felt some of his worry leave him. Jason leaned down to kiss her, and Gina hummed in surprise at his sudden action. Gina gently closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss as she raised her hands to his shoulders. She deepened the kiss and pressed her chest into Jason's body, and Jason had to struggle with his own desires as he pulled back hesitantly.

They would have more time to spend together later. For now, Jason needed to make sure everything was okay with Gina. Jason looked into Gina's eyes and asked a serious question.

"Do you feel any different, Gina?"

Gina was obviously surprised by this question, and she frowned while wondering what Jason was talking about. Gina shook her head and was about to tell him that she felt fine. But she suddenly stopped as a look of realization came over her face! Gina spoke up in slight surprise.

"My mana... there's so much of it."

Gina knew that her magic hadn't been very strong before she died. She was only a C Rank, and even with the Artefact Jason gave her, she could barely keep up with low-level B Ranks.

But now, Gina felt like she was bursting with mana!

Gina brought her hands up and looked at them in surprise as she finally focused on bringing out her mana, and a blue outline surrounded her! A gale wind suddenly burst through the air around her, and Gina quickly stopped releasing mana when Jason put his hand up to block the wind.

Gina had never felt this much power before, and she couldn't even believe that it was really her power! Gina turned to Jason, and the look on his face told her that he knew what had happened. Gina asked Jason what happened to her, and Jason put his hands in his pockets.

Jason debated within himself whether he should tell Gina the whole truth or not, and in the end, he decided that it would be the best way to make her understand. Besides, if Jason was ever going to tell anyone everything about him, then it would be Gina.

"Alright, I'm going to try to explain everything that happened. Just let me finish before you ask any questions, alright?"

Gina nodded while stepping closer to Jason and wrapping her hand around him with a loving smile. Jason felt himself smiling in return, and he quickly organized his thoughts before he began to explain things to her.

Jason told Gina everything. He started from when he got the system from his father's necklace to how he had been receiving messages from his father in the form of letters. He told her about the Primordials and how his father was the one who really saved the world ten years ago, and he gave her a basic rundown of how his system worked and what it meant for him to have a subordinate.

Then, when Jason was sure that Gina understood everything he had said so far, he finally explained how he needed to be the one to kill her to make sure her soul remained in this plane of existence, and how he had unknowingly made her one of his subordinates by resurrecting her from the dead.

Gina could feel a slight headache coming on from all the things that Jason had dumped on her at the same time. There was just so much information that Gina nearly got lost many times. But somehow, Gina was able to follow along with everything that Jason had said, and when Jason was finally done, Gina spoke up slowly.

"So... you weren't joking when you said the world was much bigger than I thought. That's a lot to take in."

Jason chuckled in amusement. Gina hadn't always been the most intellectual person. In fact, Gina hated school more than anyone Jason knew, but that didn't mean that Gina wasn't smart. Gina just never liked the concept of academia as a whole. Jason was sure that Gina was more than smart enough to understand everything he had told her, and after a few seconds, Gina nodded as she finally turned to him and said:

"You're afraid that resurrecting me like this took away my free will, aren't you? You think it will alter my mind like it alters all your other subordinates?"

Jason didn't need to answer for Gina to know that she was right. Jason truly loved Gina, and taking away her free will was the last thing he wanted. Jason didn't want Gina to become another one of his obedient—

Thonk!

Jason blinked as Gina suddenly flicked her finger into his forehead. Jason's head snapped back from the force of the flick, and he blinked in surprise before looking back down at the woman he loved.

What the actual fuck was that for?

Gina was giving Jason a hard look with her hands on her hips, and Jason immediately knew that he was in for one hell of an earful from her!

"Now you listen here, mister. I don't know everything about how your abilities work or how it feels for the rest of your subordinates, but I am more than capable of making my own decisions! You're an absolute blockhead if you think that some magic link is the only reason why I'm doing the things I do! I fucking love you, Jason! I love you so much that I was more scared about losing you than I was about dying! I would have sold my fucking soul if it meant I could stay with you! Do you know how happy I was that I finally saw you again!? Do you know what you mean to me!? You're everything to me, you idiot! So don't you even for one second think that this love I have for you is from some stupid fucking system or whatever the fuck you want to call it! It's me! It's Gina who loves you to hell and back! Look at me, Jason! Do you understand what I'm saying!? Do you understand how much I love you?"

Gina had grabbed Jason by his collar in the middle of her rant, and she was holding Jason down while glaring up at him! There were heavy tears falling down her cheeks, and Jason realized that he had unintentionally hurt Gina's feelings by acting the way he was. He was such an idiot.
