Nakamura Jinta swung his blade forward — but the next instant, a roaring water dragon swallowed him whole!
"Splash!"
Even someone like Shiryu, caught off guard, would have been blasted away by that attack — let alone a mere First-Stage Gene Lock user like Nakamura Jinta.
The water dragon engulfed him completely, its raging current battering his body from every direction. Within that torrent, he was nothing more than a drifting leaf, utterly powerless to resist.
As he struggled in the swirling water, several jet-black feathers streaked through the air like arrows.
They struck his samurai armor with a series of sharp, metallic clangs — clang, clang, clang!
Each impact echoed like the knock of the Grim Reaper himself, tightening Jinta's chest with dread.
His eyes widened in fear.
In that confined flow of water, there was nowhere to dodge.
Hidden in the shadows, Yujin watched everything unfold through his Sharingan.
From the impact between the feathers and the armor, he quickly gauged the samurai armor's level of defense — and a faint calculation flashed through his mind.
On his shoulder, the mask of the Water Release: Earth Grudge Fear twisted grotesquely.
A powerful surge of chakra condensed in its mouth — then erupted outward in a deafening blast!
A massive water cannon shot forth like a cannonball, slamming into the off-balance Nakamura Jinta head-on.
The force of the impact sent him hurtling through the air like a ragdoll.
He crashed into a distant wall with explosive force, leaving a huge crater as debris and dust scattered everywhere.
Slowly, Jinta dragged himself from the rubble.
His samurai armor was covered in scratches and soaked with water, and his messy hair clung to his face.
"D-Damn you…" he growled under his breath, clutching his katana tightly.
"To think you'd push me this far…"
With a sharp exhale, he lunged at Yujin once more.
"Ghost Shadow Step!"
Jinta's voice rang out low and fierce as he unleashed the demonic energy within his body.
His figure flickered, becoming ghostly and blurred — the wind howled beneath his feet as his speed skyrocketed.
In the blink of an eye, he was darting across the academy lawn like a streak of black lightning.
His katana flashed again and again, slicing through the air from every angle as he launched a relentless flurry of strikes.
The cold gleam of his blade carved shimmering arcs through the night.
But Yujin's reaction was far beyond what Jinta could imagine.
His three-tomoe Sharingan locked onto every twitch of Jinta's wrists, while his Observation Haki spread like an invisible web, sensing every movement within its range.
Each time Jinta's blade was about to reach him, Yujin would tilt his body just slightly — slipping past the edge of the strike with flawless precision.
No matter how many times Jinta swung, every attack sliced through nothing but empty air.
Yujin smiled faintly.
Using the high-speed movement of Soru, he quickly pulled away from the enemy.
Seizing the perfect moment, his hands flashed through a rapid series of hand seals.
A massive fireball instantly formed before him — roaring flames bursting forth, blazing with intense heat as it shot straight toward Nakamura Jinta.
"Hmph! Don't think you can defeat me that easily! Demonic Force Shield!" Nakamura Jinta shouted, swiftly summoning his defense.
A dark green light erupted around his body.
The ghostly aura condensed into a shield, upon which twisted, demonic faces emerged — their grim expressions exuding a chilling, oppressive air.
The fireball slammed into the shield with a thunderous explosion.
Flames and demonic energy intertwined violently, colliding in a storm of heat and malice.
Though the Demonic Force Shield managed to block most of the Great Fireball's power, the impact caused visible ripples to spread across its surface, and the eerie glow dimmed noticeably.
Inside the shield, Nakamura Jinta felt an immense force pushing through, driving him backward several steps before he could steady himself.
Yujin seized the chance.
"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Several black serpents burst from his sleeves, their gaping jaws hissing as they lunged at Nakamura Jinta.
In midair, the snakes weaved nimbly, slipping past the shield's weakened defenses and striking from multiple directions.
Nakamura Jinta's expression changed.
He quickly swung his katana, slashing frantically to block their attacks.
The blade flashed in a dense blur of motion — but the snakes were relentless, darting around, probing for any opening.
He was struggling to keep up.
Before he could react further, one of the snakes lunged and sank its fangs deep into his armored chest.
Its sharp teeth pierced into the demon samurai armor, and the constricting force instantly locked up his movements.
Nakamura Jinta's body stiffened, bound tightly in place as he struggled helplessly.
Seeing this, Yujin gripped tightly and pulled hard.
A surge of power traveled through the summoned serpent, yanking Nakamura Jinta violently toward him.
At the same time, the bright red glow of Yujin's Kagune flared behind him — its light sharp and blinding, like a blade about to strike.
With explosive speed, the tail-like appendage shot forward like a sword thrust.
"Puchi!"
A muffled sound echoed as the Kagune pierced straight through Nakamura Jinta's Demonic Force Shield.
The seemingly unbreakable barrier shattered like fragile glass, scattering into motes of eerie green light that vanished into the air.
Without losing momentum, the Kagune drove straight into Nakamura Jinta's armor.
Nakamura Jinta's face was instantly filled with terror.
His eyes went wide, and they shone with the fear of death.
In a panic, he swung his tachi with all his strength; the blade flashed, and with a loud "thud!" he finally cut through the serpent body that had bound him.
Then, using the speed of the Ghost-Shadow Step, he leapt back and dodged away quickly, creating distance from Yujin.
When he landed, his legs wobbled and he breathed heavily, his chest rising and falling violently.
Looking at Yujin, who remained calm and composed, Nakamura Jinta was full of regret.
Jinta Nakamura's entry into the horror movie coincided with a major loss of members in the East Sea Team.
With the items the older teammates had left behind, the weakened East Sea Team's strength had suddenly been pulled back up.
In the later rounds of the horror scenario, members of the East Sea Team continued to be whittled down, but the team's core few had not faced life-or-death threats, which made Nakamura overestimate his own combat ability.
If he'd been facing a normal veteran, he wouldn't have been beaten into such a sorry state in just two minutes.
He had run into someone who didn't rely entirely on the Lord God Space to empower himself—Yujin.
Even with the former member's treasure, there was no way to beat a player like this.
