CHAPTER SEVEN: THE CHRIS FAMILY
Startled, Nat quickly turned around, only to find the rude jerk staring down at her, as he was a bit taller than her.
"It's you!" Nat exclaimed. Then she said "wait!" And she picked up one of the picture frames and stared back and forth from the picture to the guy.
While the guy was giving her the "isn't it obvious" look.
"But...." Before she could complete what she saying, Chrisler walked in and said
"I see you've already met my older brother." Then he walked up to them.
"Meet my brother Christopher. Christopher this is Natalie, my friend from Amazon city."
"Christopher?? What is this? The Chris family??" Nat asked.
"Yeah, I guess you could call it that." Chrisler said.
"It can't be. Except your sister's name is Christine. Which isn't so..." Nat said.
"It is." Christopher said.
"You've got to be kidding me. How comes?? I've see parents who name their children with the same letter. But Chris, I haven't heard." Nat said.
"Well, now you have." Christopher said.
Just then, the door bell rang and Christopher then went to check who it was. When he saw the person, he opened the door for her.
"Chrisler." The lady shouted as soon as she got inside.
"Stephanie." Chrisler shouted back.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?? And why did you have to come in the rain??" Chrisler asked.
"I was already on my way when it started. Shall we go upstairs? I need a change of clothes as I'm already wet." Stephanie said and winked at Chrisler.
"Sure. Let's go." Chrisler said as he led the way while discussing and giggling with Stephanie
"Chrisler, wait." Nat said but he was too engrossed to hear her. Or he just refused to answer her.
"Chrisler, I need to change too. Chrisler?? Chrisler??" But he didn't still answer her.
"Darn you Chrisler!" Nat exclaimed.
"Where am I going to get a change of clothes now?" She asked herself and suddenly looked at Christopher who was trying to set up the TV.
She walks up to him and says "hey."
Christopher just looks at her without saying anything.
Then she proceeds to say, "uhmm, this is kinda embarrassing but, can you please help me with something to change into. I could pay for it... If you want."
Christopher just lets out a devilish chuckle, before he walks up to her. Nat nearly stepping back but refused to be scared.
"Did you actually think I'm the type to help people? Especially for free." He asked as he brought his face close to hers.
"Well, that's why I offered to pay..."
"And you think it's money I want??"
"It's not?? Then what do you want??"
"I'd like you to come somewhere with me. This Friday."
"Where??"
"A party."
Cough, cough. "A party?? I can't. I really can't."
"Why not??"
"Because I haven't been to one before. And I'm not interested in going. I hate parties."
"Well, suit yourself." Christopher said and went back to what he was doing.
Nat stood there for some time, contemplating whether or not to just go to the party. But then she reasoned that she wouldn't be able to go alone.
When she began shivering, she finally decided to agree with him in order not to catch a cold.
"What time is the party??" She finally asked.
"By seven. Chrisler is also going, so you guys can come together. And please, be on your best behavior. Now follow me." Christopher said as he led the way.
"Please be on your best behavior." Nat mimicked behind his back.
"What did you say?" Christopher asked.
"It's nothing." Nat said and Christopher eyed her suspiciously.
