The battlefield roared without pause.
Amidst the chaos, another Rank Three spider suddenly shifted its focus.
Its many eyes locked onto Ethan. And the young man standing beside him.Its abdomen twitched.
Then a thick web shot forward at terrifying speed.
SHHHK!
Ethan's eyes widened. "Damn—!"
But it was too late. The web wrapped around him instantly, binding his arms and torso.
The young man beside him was caught as well, both of them struggling as the sticky threads tightened like iron chains.
Their movements were completely restricted.
"Move! Get out—!" the young man shouted, trying to tear it apart.
But the more they struggled. The tighter it held. The massive spider screeched.
Then it charged towards them. Its sharp legs pierced the ground as it rushed straight toward them, mandibles opening wide.
Death closing in. Ethan clenched his teeth, trying to free his spear. But he couldn't move.
Not in time. From a distance.
