The girl, whose letter had just been read aloud a short while ago by Miss Selena, stood in the middle of a classroom surrounded by zombies. Yet she behaved exactly like them—tilting her head toward a loudspeaker fixed in the corner of the wall and growling like one of them.
The boy for whom she had written this letter was in the basketball hall, located in the basement below.
There were many zombies there, all of whom were once part of the basketball team. They were still wearing their uniforms—light blue and white in color. On the back of each jersey, the player's name was written in capital letters.
The uniforms were torn in several places, and blood stains covered them. The entire hall floor was smeared with blood, while the walls were marked with bloody handprints—remnants of people who had desperately tried to escape before turning into zombies.
All the zombies moved unsteadily, stumbling around while emitting deep, guttural growls. Among them stood one zombie whose face was completely covered in blood. On his blood-stained jersey, the name "STEVEN" was written in capital letters—the same Steven for whom Rose had written the letter.
He had become exactly like them now—neither alive nor dead.

Miss Selena once again controlled her emotions, picked up the second letter, and began reading through the loudspeaker:
"I am now going to read the second letter."
Hi Anna,
I want to express my love for you through this poetry:
Poetry:
"When in first sight I saw you,
I fell in love with you.
I know what is taught you,
that why I didn't tell you.
That I love you,
My reason is that yesterday I fell in love with you."
Your nearly lover,
Rollen Wise.
After hearing this, soft smiles appeared on Miss Selena's face and on the faces of those listening to her.

A little while later, before reading another letter on the loudspeaker, Miss Selena said:
"And now I am going to read the third letter, which is from the borak..."
(As soon as he heard this, Ghani lightly hit Borak, who was standing near him, with his elbow and looked at him with a mischievous smile.)
Now Miss Selena's voice was echoing throughout the school, as she was reading Borak's letter aloud.
Letter:
Hi,
I am Borak.
I was thirteen years old when I fell in love with Zohra. At that time, I used to live in Turkey with my parents. Both of us, I and Zohra, used to play together, go to school together, do mischief together, and when I turned fifteen, my parents decided to shift here for their business. I did not want to come here at all, and I strongly insisted not to leave, but unfortunately they did not agree. When I went to Zohra for goodbye, not a single word came out of my mouth. I just stood there silently. Then Zohra extended her hand and said while crying:
"Promise me that you will definitely come back and when you grow up, you will only marry me."
So I also, in response, held her hand and made a promise.
And I have not forgotten that promise even today, and one day I will definitely go back to Turkey and, when I grow up, I will fulfill my promise and make only her mine.
This letter is for my dear Zohra.
Yours,
Borak...
After hearing all this, Ghani started teasing Borak.
In a playful tone, Ghani said:
"Oh wow, I will marry only her when I grow up… and what was written at the end?"
"Yes… 'This letter is for my dear darling Zohra.'"
Borak said shyly:
"I didn't even write it like that..."
And he sat down feeling embarrassed, and all his friends came around him to tease him.
(Ghani, Same, Saad, Hasnain)
Ghani once again continued his mischief and teased Borak:
"Borak, for whom will you go to Turkey?"
All four friends nearby said in unison:
"For Zohra."
Ghani again said in a shouting style:
"And only whom will he choose?"
Once again all four replied in unison:
"Zohra!"
And with this, everyone (Sana, Afra, Hasnain, Saad, Same, Ghani) started laughing.
And the boy who was sitting alone in a corner looked at them with expressions of deep hatred on his face and turned away while saying to himself:
"Bastards"
Now Same, along with Ghani, continued teasing Borak:
"Stop it Ghani, otherwise the kid will start crying."
Borak stood up and jokingly said:
"Same, this kid you are talking about..." and saying this, he mischievously held his head under his arm.
Even then, a light smile was visible on everyone's faces except Michael, who was once again staring at them with intense anger.
Among all of them, there was Sana as well, who had a soft smile on her face. Although her smile seemed ordinary, but for Hasnain it was more special than anything else. Hasnain became completely lost in her smile and kept staring at her, forgetting everything else.
He might never have come out of the spell of Sana's smile if Ghani had not whispered in his ear:
"Now don't stare that much, man."
And while tapping Hasnain's shoulder lightly, he said:
"Control yourself, my friend, control yourself."
As soon as he heard this, Hasnain followed Same's example and grabbed Ghani's head in his arms. Seeing this, all five friends started having fun. Watching this, Afra and Sana kept smiling, but there was only Michael, whose heart felt as if their happiness was piercing him like thorns.
