Chapter 194 - Full Cooperation Between the Avengers and Future Avengers

Everyone moved quickly.

The other Tony had only just left, and the future Avengers had already completed their relocation with impressive speed.

They settled temporarily in a new, hidden base.

Of course, what the future Avengers didn't know was that their actions were ultimately pointless.

The past Tony could directly locate the Tesseract.

As long as these people carried the Tesseract, it was like having a tracking device, constantly exposing their whereabouts.

However, this was something the future Avengers, without the benefit of a god's-eye view, couldn't possibly know.

Compared to the other Tony, everyone was more concerned about how to collect the stones.

"Jarvis has completely taken over the security system there, and I can't crack it anymore."

"But according to the clues we have so far, it's not an exaggeration to call that place impenetrable."

"Considering Ant-Man can't shrink the scepter again, I think this operation will be very difficult."

Future Tony's expression was grave as he delivered this heavy truth to his companions.

"How can this be?"

Future Captain America frowned directly. "Why would Nick Fury in this era have such a close relationship with you?"

This was so wrong!

You have to remember that when the Avengers first assembled during the Battle of New York, they didn't trust each other at all.

And that went double for Nick Fury, the King of Spies. It wasn't just a lack of trust; there was a great deal of wariness.

They even worked together to expose S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret use of the Tesseract to develop weapons.

And Nick Fury? The King of Spies was always suspicious, and he was even less likely to trust others.

But in this universe, the Tony of the past actually helped S.H.I.E.L.D. build a security system, and Nick Fury trusted Jarvis with such an important base?

This was chaos!

It was truly chaotic!

But if that was the case, it wasn't good news for anyone.

If Friday couldn't take over the system, their actions would be hampered several times over.

Even figuring out the defenses of that base would become difficult.

They would need to send Ant-Man in person to scout the base.

"Scott, it looks like…"

Future Captain America pondered for a moment, then turned his gaze to the Future Ant-Man beside him.

"I understand, leave it to me!"

Future Ant-Man naturally didn't refuse and immediately agreed.

At this point, this kind of reconnaissance definitely required his involvement.

"Be careful, everyone!"

Future Captain America urged Future Ant-Man.

Everyone in this parallel universe seemed incredibly powerful, even putting Future Captain America under pressure.

Future Ant-Man nodded, saying nothing more, and immediately started taking action.

"Everyone."

"The situation is even worse than we thought."

Taking advantage of his ability to shrink, Future Ant-Man stealthily infiltrated the base where the scepter was kept once again.

He took in all the security arrangements within the base and couldn't help but gasp in surprise.

Nick Fury's setup was a little over the top, wasn't it?

Not that Future Ant-Man was trying to boost the enemy's morale or anything.

Based on the current situation, taking the scepter was practically impossible!

"I have to say, this is a truly terrible situation."

After hearing Future Ant-Man's explanation, both Future Tony and Future Captain America couldn't help but furrow their brows.

Even Future Tony, of all people, couldn't help but sigh.

On the one hand, they didn't want to engage in a violent conflict with their past selves; that wasn't what they were aiming for.

Even though everyone had the belief of "no matter the cost" before the operation began, they wouldn't cross the line because of it.

On the other hand...

The defense force described by the future Ant-Man was indeed not something they could easily handle.

So, the situation was genuinely very tricky.

What the future Avengers hadn't anticipated was that this was just the beginning.

It wasn't long before the future Banner met up with the Avengers, bringing with him even worse news.

"I'm sorry, everyone, the mission failed."

Future Banner's mood seemed very low.

Such an important mission, and he hadn't managed to complete it.

God knows, future Banner had really given it his all.

But there was no way. That bald woman was just too, too strong.

Even future Banner had never seen anyone so powerful. She'd casually knocked his soul right out!

In front of her, future Banner was like an ant, completely unable to resist.

If she hadn't held back, future Banner would definitely be dead.

"What's going on, Banner? Is Strange refusing to hand over the stone?"

Future Captain America's expression immediately tightened, his eyes fixed on future Banner, asking the question.

"There's no Strange. He's not the Sorcerer Supreme yet; he's a surgeon."

"The Time Stone is with the Ancient One."

Future Banner briefly explained the situation to the two future Avengers.

The first half of the story was the same as in the movie; the Ancient One easily knocked Banner's soul out.

Then he launched into some Talk no Jutsu with the Ancient One.

But the second half?

Sorry, things changed!

Because a certain butterfly flapped its wings, the future of the movie universe had become completely blurred.

This included the "chosen ones" who originally had a huge impact on the world's trajectory, which naturally included Doctor Strange.

In other words…

Originally, the Ancient One was certain that Strange would become the Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, and even the most outstanding of them all.

Therefore, the Ancient One chose to believe in Doctor Strange, and then handed the Time Stone to the future Banner.

But now?

Strange's future is also unclear! The Ancient One is no longer sure whether Strange will become the Sorcerer Supreme, let alone believe that Strange is the most outstanding of all the sorcerers.

In this case, how could the Ancient One still hand over the Time Stone?

It would be good enough if she didn't kill the future Banner!

"The Ancient One?"

"The Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj?"

Future Tony's expression began to look increasingly grim.

As people who had fought alongside Doctor Strange, they naturally knew the Ancient One.

They also knew just how powerful and terrifying that old woman was.

They were well aware that if the old woman didn't want to hand over the Time Stone, they wouldn't be able to take it by force!

"I'm sorry, I've let you all down."

Future Banner lowered his head, his voice filled with disappointment and self-blame.

He felt like he had ruined everything.

"No, Banner, we've also run into some problems here."

Future Captain America shook his head at Future Banner.

Then, he briefly explained the situation with the scepter to Future Banner.

Future Banner immediately furrowed his brow. "So, not only can we not get the Time Stone, but we also can't get the Mind Stone?"

This was extremely bad news, very disheartening.

Silence fell over the scene, and the atmosphere began to feel oppressive.

The future Avengers exchanged glances, unsure of what to say.

Although they didn't want to admit it, no one could deny the truth of what future Banner had said.

Judging by the current situation, the chances of them successfully obtaining the other two stones were indeed slim.

"Perhaps we can try another method."

After a moment of quiet, future Tony's voice broke the slightly oppressive silence.

Future Banner didn't understand what Future Tony meant, but Future Captain America reacted in a second.

"You're considering the suggestion from your other self?"

Future Captain America glanced at Future Tony for confirmation.

"Another Tony? Captain, what do you mean?"

Future Banner, who didn't understand what was going on, was stunned, not quite understanding what his two companions were hinting at.

Future Tony then told Future Banner about the other version of himself coming to them.

Future Banner immediately fell into deep thought.

"I think we might be able to give it a try."

Very quickly, future Banner offered his opinion, and after a moment's thought, Doctor Strange decided it was feasible.

Although he didn't understand why everyone in this world seemed to know about future events.

But since everyone's identities and goals had been exposed, it wouldn't hurt to cooperate.

After all, those were the Avengers of the past, and they could be trusted.

Moreover, the difficulty of obtaining the Time Stone and the scepter was indeed too great at the moment.

For a moment, it seemed like no one had a better solution.

"Scott, what do you think?"

Future Ant-Man was still "spying" outside, but the communication channel was always open, and he could hear the discussion.

"Actually, I've wanted to say this for a while, it seems we don't have any other options."

The voice of the future Ant-Man immediately echoed in the comms channel.

After some discussion, the future Avengers happily reached a consensus.

"Friday."

Future Tony didn't delay any further and immediately gave an order to his AI assistant, "Say hello to your 'brother'."

"Understood, boss!"

Friday responded.

She immediately began to carry out her boss's orders, starting to contact Jarvis.

One moment.

Tony, at the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, immediately received a notification from Jarvis.

"Sir, it seems your negotiation was successful."

"I just received a message from another version of myself, from the future Avengers, who are willing to return the Tesseract."

Tony's spirits lifted immediately.

Captain America, who was in the middle of deploying a full-scale operation to seize the Tesseract from the future Avengers, was equally buoyed.

Of course, the other Avengers present felt the same.

"Aren't they agreeing a little too easily?"

However, Captain America still had some doubts.

The other side went to such lengths to steal the Tesseract, and then, after a bit of persuasion from Tony, they were just going to give it back?

Could this be some kind of conspiracy? Besides that.

Tony also told Captain America that when he went to negotiate with them, he discovered their identities.

They were, in fact, from the future.

Captain America still couldn't believe this conclusion.

Even though Captain America wasn't an ordinary person and had witnessed and even experienced some extraordinary events,

time travel was still utterly ridiculous.

"Rogers, this isn't seventy years ago. This is a new era."

Tony shrugged, striking a pose. "We've got two gods on Earth. What's even impossible anymore?"

"If you put it that way, I almost miss seventy years ago."

"Back then, the biggest monster was just me, besides Red Skull."

Captain America quipped, but he remained vigilant.

Of course, the operation he'd just planned was put on hold.

The next part went without saying.

Captain America relayed this crucial intelligence to Nick Fury, and to all the Avengers.

Everyone unanimously decided that since those "people from the future" had, quite exceptionally, agreed to talk, they should seize the opportunity to have a proper discussion.

And so it went.

Tony continued the communication with the future Tony, and they eventually agreed on a time and location to meet.

Both sides showed up as promised.

The Avengers' representatives were Tony, Captain America, Black Widow, Doctor Banner, and Nick Fury.

As for the Red Guardian and Hawkeye Barton, they remained stationed at the scepter.

The future Avengers, needless to say, were all present.

Both the Avengers and the future Avengers stared wide-eyed at their counterparts standing before them.

The atmosphere in the room was incredibly strange.

"So, you're really me?"

"Me from the future?"

Captain America had carefully observed, and he couldn't find any flaws, but he still found it hard to believe.

"No way, Hulk actually doesn't get angry? I wouldn't even dare to dream of that!"

Dr. Banner was also staring blankly at the future Banner in front of him, finding it so unbelievable.

"I'm not Hulk, I'm Banner, no, I'm not Banner either, or rather, I'm both Hulk and Banner."

The future Banner began to explain to Banner in a serious manner, but the more he explained, the more confusing it became.

It took a lot of explaining to get Banner to understand that the future Hulk and Banner had actually merged!

He was completely stunned.

They could do that?

"I just want to know, is your nano-armor really based on Wakandan technology?"

Tony was more concerned about this and began to seriously confirm it with his future self.

In short.

The meeting of the two Avengers from different timelines was still very harmonious and pleasant.

"OK!"

After a simple greeting, Captain America got down to business. "Before we start, shouldn't we return the Tesseract?"
