Chapter 272 - Uzumaki Mito

Chapter 272 – Uzumaki Mito

"Weren't you looking for someone who could match you, Yusuke-sama?" Yakushi Kabuto asked.

"Do you really think someone like that exists?" Yusuke replied calmly. "Don't overestimate yourself."

"Of course, I know," Kabuto said. "But he isn't human. He's a monster."

"A monster?"

Hatake Yusuke looked a little surprised—then a smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

"Oh? Now this is getting interesting."

"A monster sealed in the Land of Demons," Yakushi Kabuto said.

"That would be Mōryō, wouldn't it?"

Hatake Yusuke's lips lifted into a faint, knowing smile.

"Exactly, Yusuke-sama. I didn't expect you to know something like that," Kabuto said, his tone dripping with flattery.

"Of course I know." Yusuke smiled lightly. "I just… happened to forget about it for a while."

"Then allow me to congratulate you in advance on your victory, Yusuke-sama."

As he spoke, Yakushi Kabuto controlled the figure standing before Hatake Yusuke, making it vanish from sight. Even though Hatake Yusuke had seen through the plan, Kabuto's goal had still been achieved.

"Interesting… Mōryō, huh." Hatake Yusuke's smile didn't fade. "So that's what you're aiming for, Yakushi Kabuto?"

Meanwhile, far away, Yakushi Kabuto produced a White Zetsu body in his hands and began activating the Impure World Reincarnation. Not long after, a woman was successfully summoned.

"Who are you? And what is this…"

The woman stared coldly at the figure before her, then lowered her gaze to her own hands.

"This is the Impure World Reincarnation that Tobirama's brat created, isn't it?" she said, voice sharp and steady.

She had long, flowing red hair, and on her forehead was a diamond-shaped mark—strikingly similar to Tsunade's.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Yakushi Kabuto. Greetings, Mito-sama," Kabuto said politely.

"Yes, this is indeed Impure World Reincarnation created by the Second Hokage-sama. In its early form, the technique wasn't fully complete, but Orochimaru-sama perfected it. As for me… I've only made a few minor modifications," Kabuto continued.

"Orochimaru? Tsuna-chan's teammate?" Uzumaki Mito asked.

"That's right," Kabuto answered with a nod.

"What's your purpose in reviving me?"

Uzumaki Mito truly deserved the title of the First Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. Even after realizing she had been brought back, she remained composed—almost unnervingly so.

"To seal someone," Kabuto said.

"Seal someone? Who?" Mito asked. "If that's the case, wouldn't it be far easier to revive my husband?"

In truth, she was probing Yakushi Kabuto—testing whether he possessed the ability to control the First Hokage himself.

Mito knew she couldn't break free from Kabuto's control at all. That was because the White Zetsu body had been manipulated by Black Zetsu from the very beginning. Otherwise, how could someone like her be controlled this easily? And beyond that, she wanted to understand why this man had chosen her specifically.

"It's useless," Kabuto said, not bothering to hide anything. "Even if the First Hokage were summoned, he still wouldn't be a match for that man."

"…Who?"

Uzumaki Mito's eyes narrowed slightly. Who could possibly be so strong that even her husband was dismissed like that?

"Come to think of it," Yakushi Kabuto said, unhurried, "that person has a small connection to you."

"Young man, perhaps you don't understand why my husband was called the God of Shinobi," Mito said calmly.

Even though curiosity gnawed at her, she still warned him—because she wanted to bait Kabuto into reviving her husband. If Hashirama appeared, she could seize a gap, shake off the control, and crush the man standing before her.

"I know, of course." Kabuto's expression didn't change. "But that man is truly unbeatable. Even if the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara worked together, they might not be able to stand on equal ground with him."

Kabuto had witnessed it with his own eyes—Hatake Yusuke's battle with Senju Hashirama, a fight that ended in Hatake Yusuke's victory.

"…Who is he, really?"

Mito's curiosity deepened into something sharper.

"Hatake Yusuke," Yakushi Kabuto answered plainly.

"Hatake?"

Uzumaki Mito frowned.

She had considered many possibilities—Senju, Uchiha. When Kabuto mentioned a "connection" to her, she even suspected the Uzumaki.

But she never expected the name Hatake—a small clan, one that barely stood out.

And precisely because she was someone of her level, she understood what the great bloodlines truly meant… which only made her surprise even greater.

"That's right." Kabuto continued, as if casually tossing another bomb. "And he is also Tsunade-sama's husband."

"Tch… Tsuna-chan's husband, huh?"

For the first time, a smile finally appeared on the face of the woman who had remained so calm until now.

"Then I want to see him for myself," Uzumaki Mito said, smiling.

"Aren't you afraid I'll harm Konoha's ninja?" Yakushi Kabuto asked, watching Mito's unshaken expression.

"I'm not the same as my husband," Mito said, almost lazily. "I don't have a heart that worries about the world. The shinobi world, or even Konoha… none of it means that much to me."

Her smile held a quiet, almost teasing edge.

"Besides, if you're the one saying my grandson-in-law is that strong… how could I possibly seal him?"

"Mito-sama really is different from most women," Yakushi Kabuto said, sounding genuinely impressed.

"Then bring me to him," Mito said.

"…Understood."

On the other side, Hatake Yusuke initially planned to go back and talk to Tsunade about the Land of Demons. But it turned out Tsunade had already learned that information first.

And the moment she found out Hatake Yusuke was interested, Tsunade immediately told him to lead Team Guy on this mission.

At first, Hatake Yusuke only wanted to bring Toneri along to let the kid gain some experience. But unexpectedly, Tsunade had already assigned Toneri to the front lines.

Hatake Yusuke could only accept it with a tired sigh. Besides, Toneri would be his subordinate in the future anyway. Bringing other team members along to broaden their horizons wouldn't be a loss.

And so, Hatake Yusuke set out toward the Land of Demons with Neji Hyūga, Rock Lee, and Tenten.

"Yusuke-senpai, if you have time… could you guide me in taijutsu?" Rock Lee asked, staring at Hatake Yusuke with eyes full of hope.

"Taijutsu?" Yusuke replied casually. "Sure."

"Really?! That's amazing!"

Rock Lee had heard Guy-sensei talk countless times about how terrifyingly strong Hatake Yusuke was. Even in taijutsu, he was exceptional—especially since he had mastered the Konoha Six Styles.

"U-um… Yusuke-sensei, could you guide me too?" Tenten asked nervously.

Even Neji glanced toward Hatake Yusuke, clearly interested.

"Of course," Yusuke said lazily, like this was no big deal at all.

After that, Hatake Yusuke began guiding them.

Because Tsunade's real intention was for Hatake Yusuke to train this team, he didn't hesitate at all—he simply used his space-time ability right away, bringing them into a situation where he could teach while traveling.

"Yusuke-sensei… you're incredible," Tenten said, unable to hide her amazement.

Hatake Yusuke didn't teach them step-by-step like a strict instructor. But every single sentence he spoke struck straight at the core of the problem. The three of them gained an absurd amount from just listening.

"Yusuke-sensei, can we learn the Konoha Six Styles too?" Tenten asked.

Since she often relied on taijutsu and weapons, she was especially interested in that kind of technique.

"Oh, sure." Yusuke looked like he was thinking it over, then shrugged. "It's not like I've got anything more interesting going on right now. Might as well teach you something."

"First—Lee." Yusuke raised a hand and gestured for him to watch closely. "Pay attention. This move is called the Six King Gun."

He demonstrated it right in front of Rock Lee.

"Incredible…! This technique is way too strong!" Rock Lee cried out, his admiration practically spilling out of him.

"It's nothing special," Yusuke said like it was just a random trick. "I made it when I was bored. The key is…"

And then Hatake Yusuke explained it in that same indifferent tone.

The three of them were stunned.

So this was what a genius looked like.

"Neji," Hatake Yusuke said, turning to him. "Activate your Byakugan and watch carefully. This power is even more terrifying than the Hyūga Clan's Eight Trigrams Palm. How much you can learn… that depends on your talent."

Neji immediately activated his Byakugan, focusing on Hatake Yusuke with complete concentration—daring not to miss a single detail.
