Chapter 273 – Moryo
"You don't need to be that tense. This technique is something you could never learn anyway," Yusuke said, looking at Neji with a lazy tone.
Hearing those words, Neji felt as if ten thousand thoughts were racing through his mind all at once. At the same time, a single sentence surfaced clearly in his head: Putting aside whether it's appropriate to say this or not… if it can't be learned, then why am I even watching it?
"Even if you can't learn it, you can still understand it. This technique is quite suitable for you to study its meaning," Yusuke continued.
"Then I'll begin," Yusuke said. After that, he circulated the chakra within his body and launched a rapid series of consecutive punches straight ahead, without the slightest pause between them. In just a short moment, the forest around them was completely flattened, leaving behind nothing but bare, empty ground.
"So strong…"
"That's insane…"
As the saying goes, amateurs only see the spectacle, while experts see the essence. Neji naturally understood why Hatake Yusuke had said those words earlier.
The requirements to unleash this technique were simply too cruel. First, it required an unimaginably vast amount of chakra. How much exactly? Neji couldn't say for sure, but one thing was clear— even Naruto, who possessed the greatest chakra reserves of all, didn't meet the requirement at all.
Second, it demanded a physical body on the level of a superhuman. On top of that, it required extreme chakra compression, which alone was already absurdly difficult. Then came control, as well as the ability to release chakra directly from within the body.
All of this required terrifyingly precise and powerful control. Even if all those conditions were met, without the Byakugan, it would still be impossible to perform. Moreover, for ordinary people, using this technique would also require senjutsu chakra.
"Do you understand now?" Hatake Yusuke asked as he looked at his three disciples, who were still frozen in shock.
"T-that… Yusuke-sensei, what was that technique called just now?" Neji asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
"Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack," Yusuke replied.
"Of course, what I used just now was the Forty Gods Vacuum Attack—a weakened version."
"Even the weakened version is this powerful. Then just how terrifying is the full version?" Tenten asked, utterly stunned.
"The full version can shake the heavens. Though in the end, it still depends on who's using it," Yusuke said. Even he himself didn't know what would happen if he were to unleash its full power.
"Now it's my turn, my turn! Yusuke-sensei, what are you going to teach me?" Tenten shouted excitedly.
"You, huh…" Yusuke rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He had many abilities, but not all of them were suitable for Tenten.
Tenten's expression dimmed slightly. In truth, she was a ninja whose talent was even more ordinary than Lee's. Yet her belief in her path as a ninja had never wavered, and she had never given up on herself.
"It's fine, Yusuke-sensei," Tenten said. She was an understanding girl.
"That's not it. There is something… there is, actually… ah, forget it. Come here," Yusuke said. He called Tenten over and transferred the Hancock Taijutsu to her. Of course, this version was slightly weaker than the one he had previously given to Neji and Lee.
"Give me your scroll," Hatake Yusuke said.
"O-oh," Tenten replied, still overwhelmed by shock and joy.
Hatake Yusuke took the scroll and poured his soul into it. Before long, the scroll seemed to come alive. Amid the astonished gazes of the three disciples, it slowly floated up and then stopped in Tenten's hands.
"Hello, Master," the scroll said, facing Tenten.
"This is…"
"That's enough. Just consider it a small gift from me. It'll make fighting much more convenient for you. Also, the taijutsu I gave you earlier—you need to train it seriously," Yusuke said.
"Thank you so much, Yusuke-sensei," Tenten said emotionally as she looked at him.
"No need. All of you are actually very talented. You can also learn the Konoha Six Styles—it'll be of great help to you," Yusuke said with a nod.
After that brief guidance, the three of them respected Hatake Yusuke even more than before. They continued their journey, and after traveling for an entire day, they finally arrived at the Land of Demons.
"Yusuke-sensei, there are people nearby. Should we eliminate them?" Neji asked.
"No need. This time, even though you're on a mission, you don't need to act. A war is about to break out, and the enemies will be far more terrifying. I brought you here simply to broaden your horizons," Yusuke said. In truth, there was another reason as well—it would be far too time-consuming otherwise.
"Interesting. The aura of Impure World Reincarnation, huh? Who could it be?" Yusuke said with a faint smile. In the darkness, there was another aura that also caught his attention, but he didn't pay it much mind.
"So I was discovered? So this is Tsuna-chan's husband? I never imagined that even Kagura's Mind Eye couldn't detect him—and was actually blocked instead," Uzumaki Mito said as she slowly opened her eyes.
On the other side, Hatake Yusuke didn't waste time on pleasantries and appeared directly in front of the shrine maiden, Shion.
"Who are you people?" Shion asked as she stared at Hatake Yusuke.
"With respect, Your Highness Miko. We are ninja from Konoha," Neji replied.
"Hmph, who knows. You could just as easily be Moryo's subordinates," Shion said disdainfully.
"This is such a hassle. Little girl, take me to the place where Moryo is sealed," Yusuke said.
"What? I don't want to!" Shion reacted fiercely. At that very moment, a ninja appeared and smashed through the door, causing the entire building to explode. Soon after, four shadowy figures appeared around them.
"Lee, come with me to deal with them," Neji said quickly.
"No need," Yusuke said. In the next instant, he moved everyone out of the room, reappearing outside in the blink of an eye.
"You people are?" a bespectacled young man asked as he looked at Hatake Yusuke.
Neji explained their origins once again, and they learned that the young man was Shion's guard, named Ashiho.
"They're Moryo's subordinates?" Hatake Yusuke asked.
"That's right, Lord Ninja," Ashiho replied.
"Do you know where Moryo is?" Yusuke asked. However, the four people clearly had no intention of answering. They immediately unleashed ninjutsu toward Hatake Yusuke, and a combined ninjutsu shot straight at him.
A playful smile appeared on Hatake Yusuke's face. Shion, however, who was being held by him, was nowhere near as calm.
"Damn it, hurry and dodge!" Shion urged.
"Relax. Staying with me is the safest place you can be," Yusuke said. As soon as the words left his mouth, he and Shion were engulfed in roaring flames.
Moments later, the smoke dissipated. Hatake Yusuke and Shion were completely unharmed— not even their clothes were damaged in the slightest.
"If you won't talk, then I'll just ask myself," Yusuke said. His figure vanished from everyone's sight.
When he reappeared, he was already standing in front of one of the four. He then used the power of the Human Path to forcibly extract the man's soul.
"So that's how it is. I've found it," Yusuke said with a faint smile.
Seeing how powerful Hatake Yusuke was, the remaining three immediately tried to flee. But how could Hatake Yusuke possibly give them that chance?
"Lapse: Blue."
A black void appeared instantly, dragging the three fleeing figures into its center. In the end, they were crushed to death by the overwhelming gravitational pull within the void.
"So strong…" Shion stared at Hatake Yusuke in shock. In just an instant, all four enemies had been dealt with.
"Little girl, come with me for a bit. I'll protect you," Yusuke said as he looked at Shion.
"You want me to help you seal Moryo? Don't joke around. I won't do it," Shion said.
"That's not it. I want to free him instead," Yusuke replied.
"What did you just say?" Shion thought she had misheard and asked again.
"You help me free him, and I'll help you kill him. How about it?" Yusuke said, smiling faintly.
"Stop boasting. Just you alone? I admit you're very strong, but there's no way you can defeat Moryo," Shion mocked, a cold smile on her lips.
"That's fine. Because I am the strongest," Yusuke said, the confident curve of a smile forming at the corner of his mouth.
And when Shion looked closely at Hatake Yusuke's face from such a short distance, for some reason, she felt an illusion—as if this man truly might be able to do it.
