Amanda hated live interviews.
Recorded interviews could be cleaned. Bad framing could be cut down, legal could argue over wording, and if the host tried to be clever, Amanda could request an edit with the kind of voice that made producers remember they had rent to pay.
Live interviews were different. Once the words left the mouth, they belonged to the internet. A clipped sentence could become a weapon before the interview had even ended.
That was why she arrived at the studio before Luna.
She walked through the hallway with Sharon beside her, heels sharp against the polished floor, while one of the show assistants tried to keep pace with them and failed twice.
"Ms. Amanda, we're very excited to have Luna here today," the assistant said, breathless. "Jinista has been looking forward to this conversation."
Amanda stopped outside the green room and turned.
The assistant almost bumped into Sharon.
