Golgor Stonehammer and his nomadic tribe of orcs had finally arrived at their destination. The attack on the town of Rickswirth had been a disappointment to say the least but now he would be able to provide some entertainment to his orcs.
Orcs weren't exactly known for their loyalty or attention spans. If they stayed bored some of them might have thought to challenge him.Golgor Stonehammer was no coward but he didn't want to appear weak with his warriors constantly challenging him.
The voice in the sky had told them that the Gaia dungeon could provide the tribe with a good fight.Golgor hoped this was true.He and his new tribe needed some achievements.
The opening in the cliff face radiated mana. There were no guards on duty lest they get attacked by the orcs. They were likely being monitored from a distance by scouts though. They certainly felt like they were being watched from a high vantage point.
"Lads we don't know what we'll face in the dungeon but will you turn your backs in battle."
A good speech before a battle was good for morale and didn't hurt anyone. It was good to have a strong voice for this. These were Golgors thoughts as he hollered.
"NO CHIEF"
"NEVER"
"HAHAHA"
"Then let us brave this dungeon and grow stronger as we stand on the corpses of our enemies."
Golgor hollered once more as his team of orcs ran into the dungeon.Their senses went dark as they went through the spatial distortion.Their senses returned and they found themselves standing within a large cavern.
The orcs still felt a sense of being watched by something but there didn't appear to be anything. They looked around but saw nothing was observing them. Some of the weird lad orcs used magical spells to try and see if anything truly was observing.
These ranged from life detection spells and heat detection spells but they sensed nothing.Perhaps this feeling of being watched was simply a unique quirk of this dungeon.
Golgor was wondering if the voice in the sky had lied to him as nothing had come to attack them.He certainly didn't want to look foolish in front of his warriors.
There was movement...in the trees of the forest. Some weird looking elves with round ears came running out the forest at varying speeds. There was something weird about them. They didn't look quite right.Golgor didn't want to think about that when there was a battle right in front of them.
The orcs got ecstatic as they met an enemy that was clearly willing to charge into a fight instead of run away from one like those cowards from Rickswirth. They charged themselves to meet the strange creatures.
Golgor kept an eye out for any worthwhile opponents but only saw two or three that could put up a decent fight against his strongest orcs.Well they should at least be able to face his lieutenants. They might have had speed but they clearly didn't have a lot of muscle mass.
Golgor didn't find any who could fight against him which made him groan. He had to keep a power gap between himself and his warriors.
...
Joshua and the other humans had spent a lot of time training their levels and skills over the past week and a half.He had reached level 3 and gained a new skill. He wasn't the only one who achieved the level 3 state.
He located his opponent who was a powerful green skinned creature with tusks like a boar. These creatures had powerful frames with a lot of muscle mass. The creature noticed him coming and laughed.
"Hahaha I guess you're my opponent."
The opponent wielded an axe.Joshua didn't know why he wanted a similar weapon but he didn't feel like a spear was a fitting weapon for him.Hopefully the green skin would drop an axe.He looked forward to cleaving into his enemies and decapitating them to claim their skulls with an axe.
Joshua activated his epic rank berserker rage level 2 skill. After the skill upgraded he got to pick one of three options to enhance it.He felt the familiar rage almost overcome him yet his mind remained serenely calm. His body also engulfed itself in red and purple flames. This was the upgrade he had picked.
The green skinned creature seemed surprised by his opponent suddenly setting on fire and tried to cast a spell. The orc lieutenant cast the water spurt spell aiming to douse out the fire. When a spurt of water splashed the human's body the flames didn't go out yet the human was wet.
The human still maintained that furious expression. The orc simply didn't understand anymore but it understood that it was in a battle and chanted another spell.
