Synopsis
Aira was just a girl who wanted one simple thing—her family’s love. Once, she had it all: Her father called her the only light in his dark world. Her mother cherished her as a little princess. Her sister adored her as a shining star. Even her brother, though still young, lovingly braided her hair. She lived a life most girls could only dream of. But everything shattered the day her father brought home a girl whose parents had died in an accident. At first, things were fine… until slowly, Aira began to notice the shift. The warmth, the affection, the laughter—none of it was hers anymore. The family who once made her their world now barely looked her way. And when her first love betrayed her, when jealousy and schemes dragged her into danger, when she risked everything to protect others only to be met with accusations… her last hope crumbled. The slap from her father was not just on her face—it struck her soul. Standing before the mirror that night, Aira realized the truth. The bright, loving girl they once knew was gone. Her reflection showed only a hollow shell—cold, lifeless, broken. From that day, she swore never again to crave their love. Aira died that night. In her place, a new Aira was born— a girl colder than ice, with a heart that no longer sought affection. Now, in her new college, they call her the Ice Queen. She doesn’t want friends. She doesn’t want love. She doesn’t want anyone. But what happens when life refuses to let her stay frozen? What if, despite everything, someone dares to melt her heart? This is the story of Aira’s rebirth. Will she ever find the love she once longed for—or will her heart remain forever frozen --------------- This story fully is not mine. I just adapt real novel. Chapter 1 - A HOUSE THAT FEELS LIKE HOME - BUT ISN'T HER

Langford Estate – Afternoon

The heavy oak doors creaked open as Aira stepped inside, a tray balanced carefully in her trembling hands. The Langford estate was grand—high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, the faint scent of roses drifting from the gardens. She felt small walking across its polished floors, the tray like her only shield.

The moment Mr. Langford saw her, his face lit up. He rose from his chair with a warmth that wrapped around her like sunlight."Aira! You're here, sweetheart."

He walked over quickly and relieved her of the tray, handling it as though she were too precious to carry such a thing."You didn't need to bring anything. You being here is enough."

The words hit her softly, almost painfully—because they were so rare. She lowered her gaze, whispering, "Thank you, Uncle."

Mr. Langford's eyes lingered on her face. He noticed the tiredness shadowing her eyes, the way she forced her smile. But he didn't ask—not yet.

The Dining Table

Everyone was seated. Silver cutlery gleamed, glasses sparkled, and conversation hung in the air like a storm about to break.

Mrs. Langford's lips curled into a frosty smile the moment Aira entered."Oh, look who came after causing chaos everywhere," she said, her voice dipped in poison.

Elena's laugh followed quickly."Honestly, she's brave to show her face after that tragic little love letter."

Jayden's voice cut sharper than both."I heard people are calling her Liam's shadow now. Creepy, right?"

The words sliced through Aira. She lowered her head, her fingers trembling beneath the tablecloth. She focused on the fork in her hand, willing herself not to shake, not to break.

"Enough." Mr. Langford's voice broke the tension. Calm, but firm. "If you can't speak with respect, don't speak at all."

Alec, Liam's second brother, leaned forward. His tone was quiet, but edged with steel."She's been through enough already. Leave her alone."

Jayden smirked, mocking."What, you going to adopt her now? Maybe make her your sister since she can't be Liam's girl?"

Alec's gaze hardened, unflinching."I'd rather call her family than half of you sitting here."

The table went silent for a moment. Mrs. Langford's disapproval hung heavy, Elena and Jayden exchanged looks, and Liam… sat with arms crossed, saying nothing. He didn't even look at Aira.

Lunch continued, but the laughter and chatter around her were nothing but daggers. Every glance from Mrs. Langford burned like poison. Every comment that wasn't spoken aloud still seemed to echo in the silence.

Aira pushed her food around her plate. Her appetite was gone. Only Mr. Langford's gentle presence—and Alec's quiet defense—kept her from breaking apart at the table.

Garden Bench – After Lunch

Escaping the weight of their stares, Aira slipped into the garden. She sat on a stone bench under the shade of a sprawling tree. The air was cool, the breeze gentle, but her thoughts were loud, tangled, and sharp.

Mr. Langford joined her moments later, sitting beside her without a word. He glanced at her quietly before speaking, his tone soft, almost fatherly."You remind me of my youngest daughter… the one I lost long ago. Quiet. Gentle. Always trying to please everyone.🙂"

Aira's head lifted, eyes widening slightly. She hadn't expected him to come after her.

He continued gently."I don't know what your home feels like, Aira. But here—you'll always be safe. Do you understand?"

Her eyes brimmed with tears she tried to hold back. She nodded quickly, her voice breaking softly."Thank you… I think this is the first time someone's ever said that to me.😊"

His expression softened, pained."You deserve to hear it every day."

Aira turned away, blinking fast, clutching those words to her heart as though they might vanish if she let go.

Liam's Room – At the Same Time

Upstairs, Liam sat with Jayden and Elena, leaning against his desk with arms crossed.

Jayden broke the silence first, his voice cold."Are we seriously still pretending she belongs here?"

Elena scoffed."If Dad had his way, he'd probably give her a bedroom next."

Liam groaned, irritation flashing in his eyes."She doesn't get the hint. No matter how I humiliate her, she still comes back."

Jayden laughed, clapping him on the shoulder."Must be desperate. Or stupid."

Liam didn't reply. His gaze drifted away, jaw tight. Something flickered behind his eyes—confusion. Maybe even guilt. But he crushed it quickly, burying it under silence.

Evening – The Brown House

The door creaked softly as Aira entered. The house was dim, shadows stretching across the walls. Sana, curled up on the sofa with her phone, didn't even look up.

"Was Liam's family nice?" she asked casually, her tone dripping with mockery. "Or did they pity you again?"

Aira said nothing. No reply. No fight.

She walked upstairs, each step slow, heavy. Not because she was defeated. But because she was learning—learning that silence hurt less than hope.

Closing her bedroom door, she leaned against it, her heart whispering words she could never speak aloud:

One house calls me family. The other owns the name. But neither… ever calls me home.
